On 7/6/17, we received numerous complaints from the village of [REDACTED], in which multiple people have reported seeing "the Devil" walking down [REDACTED] road. Description of the suspect consisted of an old man or an old woman with white hair, large horns on her head, and goat legs, typically wrapped in a cloak. The description matched up with the investigative team, consisting of myself and agent Evan McDowell, arrived on scene in order to interrogate witnesses.
It was assumed that it was likely a sighting of a faun that had mistakenly not realised that they were being watched, but due to the possibility of a demonic encounter, a request for additional armed backup was requested before searching the nearby woods. Backup ultimately proved unnecessary, as initial suspicions were proven correct.
An elderly faun by the name of Autumn Clearwater, and her husband, Amantius Clearwater, were found in their home down a small path that was worn down in the thicket. Amantius, an elf, works in the village while disguised as a human in order to support himself and his wife, but did note that his wife had been behaving strangely for the past year. He reported to us that she would sometimes wander off, especially while he is not at home, resulting in the sightings. As they are supernaturals who are unable to acquire medical assistance and diagnosis easily, Missus Clearwater was unable to obtain a diagnosis until now, but has since been diagnosed by our doctors at the base as suffering from dementia. Mister Clearwater has been educated about the condition and given advice on how to properly take care of his wife, but the Supernatural Relations Department will henceforth discuss with him how to best go about this. As we have concluded with our end, we are closing the case on our end and handing it off to the Supernatural Relations Department for further response.
