Sasuke Uchiha wasn't sure what was going on. He was currently staring at the bright blue sky, as he made his back lay on some now. Sasuke's hair was shorter than before, it was much more taken care of than how it was in the war.

He was no longer in his teenage clothing, but back into his academy attire. He wore a navy blue short-sleeved high neck collar Uchiha shirt with the crest on his back, black shorts, a ninja pouch, and blue sandals.

This was rather confusing, to say the least. At one moment he had his entire hand blown off by the clash his Chidori had with Naruto's Rasengan but for some reason, before he could even say sorry. Some portal came out of nowhere it sucked him away. The last thing he could hear before blacking out was Naruto shouting "Sasuke!"

Just where the hell was he? He sure wasn't in the Elemental Nations. He couldn't sense any chakra in a ten-mile radius. Which was weird since even trees had chakra and some trees had more chakra than a lot of Jonin. So it was pretty weird, to say the least.

"It's so cold..." Sasuke muttered as he just shivered, hoisting his hands up and down his arms to warm himself up, Sasuke just looked around to see that he was in a forestry snowy region. 'Just where am I? And why am I young again? I think...I'm like at least twelve once more.' was all he could think of.

When he stood up, the Uchiha noticed the ground looked way closer than before. "Why is it I feel short?" he muttered to himself, continuing to walk, Sasuke just had to lift his feet as he walked through the heavy snow, slowly it tried to drag him but the Uchiha continued to walk. "It's...so...cold," he muttered once more as he saw the steam his breath was making.

The weather was pretty rough right now, it was beginning to snow once more much to Sasuke's dismay. 'I think Kami is punishing me for all the things I've done.' he thought but with luck, it would seem Kami had not forgotten about him. There is covered by the mist of the snow, and Sasuke squinted his eyes to see a moving figure. He was sure it was human as it walked on two legs, and he was certain the figure carried something on its back.

'A person.' Sasuke thought as with all his might he tried to speak. "W-wait." his voice was very small, as he had been walking in the snow for at least an hour. The figure just continued to walk as Sasuke followed close by, "Wait." he hissed once more but nothing. With all his energy he made it his goal to catch up with it. Skipping over the snow, Sasuke rushed and rushed for it. With hope, he rushed. The snow tried to drag him down but with his will, he didn't allow it, when his lungs felt sharp due to them being over strained he didn't stop. Sure it was pretty weird with how much his stamina had deteriorated that he as well was surprised by this.

When he followed the figure, they now were on a mountain pass as Sasuke followed the tracks it was leaving behind it. Whenever he could feel that he had enough energy he shouted for it. "Wait," he stated once more but the figure didn't hear him. 'Darn it.' was all he could think as he continued to follow it. Looking at the figure he noticed that it was walking much slower than before, and with that Sasuke was able to catch up a bit. Getting a clearer view, he saw the figure was wearing a green checkered coat and had a tied ponytail. 'A boy.' the Uchiha thought as his eyes changed to the figure the boy was carrying.

Long dreaded hair and a blue blanket were what the figure was wearing. Just then Sasuke was shocked as he watched the figure wake up as it began growling much to the Uchiha's surprise, 'What the hell!' was all Sasuke could think as the worst thing you could imagine the boy and the figure fell off the mountain pass.

"AAAAAH!" Sasuke heard the boy's screams no sound was heard. Sasuke ran towards where the boy fell he stopped there to investigate. Looking down from his vantage point Sasuke looked down as his view was covered by the trees. "Damn it." the Uchiha growled.

'Guess I'll have to climb down...what a drag.' Sasuke thought as he climbed down to where the boy landed.

With the boy, he shuddered as he lay in the snow. 'The snow saved me.' he thought as he breathed heavily. 'But the snow is the only reason I fell.' he thought as he remembered something. "Nezuko?" he hoisted his upper body up as he scanned the area, his eyes landed on his little sister who was currently standing with her hair covering her face.

"Nezuko, are you okay?" he asked once more as he approached the girl, her blanket fell to the ground as she was only wearing a pink-white kimono. "You don't have to walk! Let me carry you to town, all right?" he stood in front of the girl as she didn't say anything. "Nezuko!" he stated once more much to his surprise the girl growled at him and next thing before he knew it. He took the ground by his sister, taking out his axe. He put the hilt of the axe into the girl's mouth as she had fangs attached to it.

'Sh-she's. A demon!' he thought in declaration 'This is what old man Saburo tried to tell me about. She's a man-eating demon?' he just blew that thought out of his mind 'Impossible! Nezuko's been a human since the day she was born! Except she doesn't have Nezuko's scent anymore. But she isn't the one who killed them. She was lying on top of Rokuta like she was protecting him and her hands and mouth weren't covered in blood, but there was one more. There was another scent!' He just gasped when Nezuko became bigger.

'How are you getting bigger?!' he thought but he replied with a growl. 'She's getting stronger too!' he struggled to keep his sister at bay. 'While I was sleeping like a baby at Saburo's, you were all being brutally murdered! It must have hurt. You suffered, didn't you? I'm sorry I wasn't there to help.' he felt a tear form in one of his eyes. 'I have to at least save Nezuko, though! But she's too strong for me to do anything!'

"Nezuko! Hang on, Nezuko!" he began to cry. "Don't give in! You gotta hang on!"

Footsteps were heard in the distance but they were overpowered by Nezuko's growls. "Don't let it take control! You gotta stay strong! Just hang on! Please!" he declared as a tear escaped his sister's eye, it landed on his face and there he could see she was weeping.

But just at that moment, he could see his sister, Nezuko she was there she looked sad, scared, and most of all terrified of what she had become. But that moment had to end when the boy, saw a man wearing a coat. 'No!' he thought as with a reflex he held his sister as he swapped positions with her. The man just gasped in shock as a quick slash was heard. The boy's hair was cut, as a large wind gusted out when the man landed.

With Sasuke, he finally got to the bottom. 'Now where did they go?' he thought as he scanned around, still having his hands go up and down his arms. Just then he heard a large thud up this small hill of snow. 'Maybe they are up there. I should investigate.' Sasuke thought as he just trudged forward. Up the hill, he could hear voices speaking.

"Why are you protecting?" one voice stated as he heard another "She's my sister! I was taking her to get help!" just then he heard some snarling. "Nezuko!" the same voice shouted. "You call that thing your sister?"

'Uh oh.' was all Sasuke could think since he knew what was going to happen. Arriving at the top of the hill the Uchiha breathed heavily as he watched the scene occur. 'So fast!' Sasuke thought as he saw the man take what looked to be the boy's sister.

"Nezuko!" the boy with the checkered coat shouted as he stood up. "Don't move!" the swordsman declared as a gust of snow passed. "My job is to slay every demon I find, which means I have to decapitate your sister here."

"No wait!" the boy shouted back "Nezuko hasn't hurt anyone! Back at my house, there was another scent I'd never smelled before! That's probably the one who killed my family! Nezuko didn't do it! I don't know why she's changed into something like this, but still..." he was cut off by the swordsman. "It's quite simple. She's turned because her wounds were exposed to demon blood. That's how the man-eating monsters multiply."

'Man-eating monsters? What the hell are they talking about?' Sasuke thought as he walked slowly closer to the scene, he used his ninja reflexes to be as quiet as a mouse. "Nezuko would never eat a human!" the boy shouted back.

"You must be joking. If I hadn't gotten here when I did, she would have devoured you and that boy."

'Damn it!' Sasuke thought he'd been spotted by the man. "B-boy?" the boy was confused by this as the swordsman directed his eyes to where Sasuke was. Seeing Sasuke the boy just looked back at the swordsman. "You're wrong! She wouldn't hurt me! She knows I'm her big brother! And I won't let her hurt anyone! I'll turn her back into a human! I will heal her!"

"She can't be healed. Once you become a demon no one can ever turn back."

"There's a way, and I'll find it, no matter what it takes, so please let her live! I'll hunt down the one who slaughtered my family! I promise I'll make everything right! Please!"

When Sasuke heard the boy begging the man to leave his sister, he felt sad for him and when the man put his sword in front of the girl's head the Uchiha just growled. "Hey! You heard the boy! Let her go!" Sasuke shouted out as he walked into the small clearing they were in. "This doesn't concern you, just leave before you get hurt." the man declared. "Why don't you come here and make me!" Sasuke took out some shuriken and he threw them at the swordsman.

"S-shuriken!" the man muttered in surprise as he quickly hit the weapons away with his sword. "Enough, brat! Just stay out of this before you get hurt!" the swordsman told Sasuke who just growled at the 'brat' name, the swordsman put his sword in front of Nezuko's neck, much to her brother's dismay. "Please don't do this!" the boy shouted as he went to the floor bowing. "Please. Don't kill my little sister. Please don't do it!" he begged as he began to cry. "Come on man. He's crying for his sister just let her go." Sasuke tried to reason with the man. The swordsman kept quiet for a moment as he began to sputter in rage.

"Don't grovel like that and give your enemies the chance to kill you!" the boy gasped at this. "All you doing is making yourself vulnerable! If it were even a little bit effective, your family would still be alive right now! How can a weakling like you have any hope of finding a way to heal his sister or hunt down a demon?! Don't be ridiculous!"

This got Sasuke to clench his fist. "No! You don't be ridiculous!" this got the two to look at Sasuke. "You expect him to let you, kill his sister in front of him. Are you insane? I understand why he's begging, it's his sister you bastard!"

"Shut up brat! The weak have rights! They don't get to make choices! All they can do is be relentlessly crushed by the strong! Now, maybe the demons know of a way to cure your sister. Maybe! But don't think for even a moment that any one of them is going to respect your wishes, just like I have no respect for you!" the swordsman's attention changed to the boy. He went on and on about him turning his back on him as he just tried to kill the girl.

"No!" the man stabbed the girl in the chest as she just shrieked in pain. "Don't you touch her!" the boy threw a rock which was deflected by the swordsman. He ran for his axe as wind gushed! Grabbing the axe he threw a rock at the man who just dodged out of the way, Sasuke watched in shock as he threw the axe the moment he passed a tree before he ran towards the man.

'He didn't see it!' Sasuke was shocked by this since the swordsman had his eyes on the boy as the axe was twirling in the sky towards him. "You let your emotion drive you to charge at me. You are a fool!" the swordsman shouted as he knocked the boy out with the hilt of his sword to the boy's back.

"Huh? What happened to the hatchet?"

"Up here you fool!" The swordsman looked up to see Sasuke in the sky, "Take this!" with all his might Sasuke flung the axe towards the man, but the man just ducked out of the way. 'No way. Just right before he went behind that tree. He threw the rock and at the same time he tossed the hatchet, he was only pretending to attack me so I wouldn't realize he was unarmed. At the same time, the other one grabbed hold of the hatchet as he threw it at me. Wait did they coordinate this attack? But when? They surely knew they couldn't beat me, they planned to pin me down after I knocked this one out...these kids.' he thought just then Nezuko growled as she got out of the man's grip kicking him away. She then flung it to the boy much to the man's shock.

"Damn it! She'll kill him!" that was what he thought but he was surprised when she didn't as she stood in front of her brother in a defensive stance. 'This is interesting.' was all he could think as Nezuko rushed him. Sasuke watched as the man did a soliloquy as he dodged the girl's attacks.

When he went to unsheath his sword, Sasuke stormed into action he just rushed in to push the girl out the way, but the girl only got a karate chop knocking her out.

When Sasuke tumbled to the ground, Nezuko was on top of him as she was conscious for a moment. "Hi." Sasuke greeted us with a smile as much to our surprise the girl had a tint of red as she was knocked out once more. Sasuke quickly put her to the ground as he stood up. "I won't allow you to kill them!" he declared as he took out a kunai. "I'm not going to...I just want you to tell them that you should take these two with you to Mount Sagiri as soon as they wake up. There look for an old man named Sakonji Urokodaki. When you find him tell him Giyuu Tomioka sent you, it's cloudy so she'll be alright. Don't let her be exposed to sunlight, and I mean like never also whatever you don't let this bambo get out of her mouth." Sasuke watched as Giyuu tied the bamboo across her mouth.

"I need to go," he stated as he was ready to leave Sasuke just kept warming himself up with his hands. "Here take this." Guys took off his coat as he offered it to Sasuke. "I don't need it." the Uchiha huffed as he just kept rubbing himself. "Don't be a stubborn brat, just take it," Sasuke said nothing for a moment as he just abruptly took it. "First of all my name is Sasuke Uchiha, not a brat and secondly thank you." Sasuke wore the coat as he sighed in relief when the warmth enveloped him.

"Then I hope to see you around Sasuke Uchiha." the man stated "Oh you will Giyuu Tomioka." the two's eyes met as Giyuu just disappeared.

Being knocked out, all Tanjiro could do was listen to the silence. But it didn't last when he heard his mother's voice.

"We have to leave you behind, Tanjiro. I'm so sorry." Tanjiro could only just think about telling his mother to just wait for a minute but he couldn't utter the words. "Take care of Nezuko."

That was the last thing he heard and this caused him to fall out of consciousness. He just gasped when he was met by his sister's face, she was still alive from what he could see, there weren't any wounds or massive injuries but what did catch him was the bamboo stick around her mouth.

"Are you awake?" Tanjiro looked up to see Sasuke who was currently folding his hands and leaning against a tree. "It's you? Wait where's the swordsman?"

"Well, he said that I should take you and your sister to Mount Sagiri as soon as possible."

"Why?"

"He says he wants you to meet a man known as Sakonji Urokodaki and also that your sister should stay out of the sunlight no matter what." hearing this Tanjiro just stood up as he picked up his sister. "I see...well, I just want to say thank you for helping me out back there, I'm Tanjiro Kamado and this is my sister Nezuko." he introduced themselves as Sasuke approached the boy. "My name's Sasuke Uchiha, anyway with all the introductions out of the way let's go."

Sasuke began to walk as just then he noticed Tanjiro wasn't following. "Aren't you coming?"

"No...it's just I still haven't buried my family. So I was thinking that I should return to give them a burial." hearing this Sasuke just stayed silent as he began walking towards Tanjiro. "Where did they die?" Sasuke asked

"Back at my home," he stated sadly. "Well then let's go. The sooner we get this over and done with, the sooner we can get to this Mount Sagiri."

Hearing that Tanjiro just had a small smile "Thank you." he stated as Sasuke shrugged. "I have to do a good deed once in a while."

Arriving at the house Sasuke was shocked beyond straight. Blood was everywhere and what was worse the corpses of Tanjiro's family looked like they were killed mercilessly, just what kind of monster would do this? For a moment he thought about Orochimaru but that thought was shot down as Orochimaru sacrificed his victims not mercilessly slaughtered them. When they got ready for the burial, Nezuko was awake when they did the ceremony, taking one last look, Nezuko and Tanjiro bid their family farewell as Sasuke just put the bodies in a hole he and Tanjiro had dug up. Covering the bodies with some dirt, Sasuke watched from a distance as Tanjiro and Nezuko bid their family rest in peace.

When they finished Sasuke watched as the two held hands as they approached him. "Are you sure you want to leave their graves open like that?" Sasuke asked as Tanjiro just looked back at the grave. "One day I'll come back to close their graves but only after I've cured, Nezuko." Tanjiro declared as Sasuke just kept quiet. "Whatever you say, now let's get out of here." The siblings followed Sasuke to down the mountain till they were met by a crossroad. Sasuke had been analyzing the roads up a head and well he wasn't sure what to take. "Umm Sasuke do you know where we are going?" Tanjiro asked his new friend but the Uchiha just turned around to look at the two. "To speak the truth I don't know where Mount. Sagiri is. That swordsman didn't even think about giving us directions." Sasuke replied with a twitching eyebrow. "Well then it's a good thing that I know where to go, just follow me."

Huffing Sasuke just followed Tanjiro and Nezuko as they turned left and continuing to go down the mountain.
