'Ah'! It has been a long time since i last felt such a breeze. I had forgotten what it felt like.' said Ainz as floated in the air high above the clouds.

Shalltear did not spoke as it would be a disturbance to her Master's thoughts.

'What do you think about it Shalltear?' asked Ainz absentmindedly.

'It is as you say my Lor- Ainz. The breeze should be thankful that it is able to serve you. Though it is beyond me how you can feel pleasure because of it when it is not a necessary for your supreme undead body.' said Shalltear her voice having a tinge of lust.

'Hmm I hardly require to breathe but once in a while it is good to just enjoy simple things such as these. What would be the point of becoming powerful if i lose the most important things to me. What simple desires do you have Shalltear?' asked Ainz as he swirled in the air at a high speed. Still Shalltear kept following him despite his movements.

'For me the simplest thing is serving you. If you so wish i will relish the wind's cool touch. Surely your wisdom truly knows no bounds. I can only devote myself to you even more for granting me a supreme being's experience.' said Shalltear her voice filled with gratitude.

'Don't worry. Everyone learns with time. You are no exception. On another note, i have a task for you if you don't mind. It may be a little dangerous.' said Ainz as he waited for Shalltear's response.

'I am your Lance. Ask anything of me as you wish and it will be done.' replied Shalltear as she inclined her head.

'Start killing every non-sentient organism from now on. Kill all merfolk. Kill them all only with my poison. Kill anyone with a karma of -50 but refrain from killing those whom i personally tell you not to kill. If you find anyone on par with you or above you in strength disengage and report back to me. Use your summons to increase your hunting speed. Return to me in 24 hours. Use a disguise and let no one see your face. That is all. Now go.' ordered Ainz as he handed Shalltear a huge amount of poison bottles and a few scrolls.

'As you command.' said Shalltear as she teleported away after putting away everything Ainz gave to her in her inventory.

'Hmm now i have to wait till Shalltear at least gives me 10 levels. While she is out there i should also go out hunting. Killing those merfolk gave me 11 levels and that was an army of 80 thousand merfolk. Shalltear's [Mass Summon Household - 10th] is seriously good for creating armies on a short notice.' I said aloud as there was no one nearby who could hear me.

'The best way to use these 11 levels would be to put them in skeleton mage. I can just put these levels into higher classes such as lich or overlord but they wouldn't be as strong as they were before. A strong base class is necessary for having access to most skills. What i need right now is having at least my [Skeleton Mage] at level 15. Though i can only level it up to 13 which would again leave me at level 1.' thought ainz as he was not able to decide on which path to take.

'[System]! Put my 11 levels in [Skeleton Mage].' said Ainz as he felt weak after losing all 11 levels at the same time.

[Affirmative]

[Skeleton Mage - 13]

'Hah! I can never get used to this feeling. If i just had [Avarice And Generosity] i would have been able to farm experience and level up a lot faster.'

'What does this [System] want from me? First it shows me how i can gain [Avarice And Generosity] by just completing a quest and now it doesn't even show me what these quests are even. [System] are you mocking me?' asked Ainz as he was irritated by the fact the [System] was hiding wuest information from me.

[Negative]

[The System Is Not A Thing Which Can Be Classified As Person]

'Then how can you reply to me if you are not a person? Why is it that you do not tell me the quest's conditions?

[The [System] Is A Miniscule Facet Of [Records]. User Can Not Comprehend Any Information Which Is More Than Required.]

[Even If The System Tells You More, You Would Simply Not Understand The Conditions.]

'So i cannot even learn more about these [Records].' said Ainz sa he sighed.

[Negative. The User Can Learn More About The [System] And [Records] If You Have A High Enough Comprehension Of The World. The Act Of Destroying And Creating Possesses The Most Amount Of [Records].]

'So am i supposed to either start killing everything i see? Or am i supposed to hide away in a cave and level up my [Crafter] class just so that i may gain more information about these [Records].' thought Ainz as he wanted to learn more about this new power of his.

'Ah! I really want to relax right now. I will have to find a place to settle down. No use having power if i can't even relax.' said Ainz as.

Ainz Ooal Gown. My Master. His glorious form knows no bounds. His human form which not as much as his skeletal body still far surpasses all beauty.

'To possess the power to create a servant so powerful who even killed a raid boss all on his own. Not only that when that summon of his grew beyond powerful he took it upon himself to grant him a place in his very own essence. Such power. It makes my cold unbeating heart quiver with love and excitement.'

Lord Ainz. The leader of all 41 supreme beings of Nazarick who themselves were powerful beyond measure. How great would his might and majesty be if those who followed him were so great.

'Bleh! Sometimes i wonder how can Lord Ainz make insects such as these be useful.' said certain vampire who was disguised in a pure white with utter disgust and malice in her voice as she and her [Household] cut down all those who met her Master's criteria.

'Such pathetic vermins.'

'No calling them vermin would be doing the actual vermin injustice. Cocytus would surely be unhappy about me comparing him to these weaklings. Though would he actually care about them weak or strong? As far as i remember his creator was Lord Warrior Takemikazuchi. Was Cocytus created because his creator always lost to Lord TouchMe and he wanted to create someone who possess both his competitiveness and Lord TouchMe's code of honour? Though I wonder if my creator Lord Peroroncino also created me for a great purpose like that of Cocytus.' wondered Shalltear about her purpose in life.

'My Lord. Lord Ainz. How i wish to seek guidance from your wise self. Truly i am unworthy of even a glance from you.' A merfolk child died on her poisonous lance as Shalltear lamented her own shortcomings. The child died painfully as his body was invaded with a poison which rotted flesh and bones altogether.

'If i possessed even the slightest of the abilities other possessed i would have been more useful for Lord Ainz'. said Shalltear as she kicked a rock in dissapointment. The said rock flew at supersonic speeds and ripped apart the bodies of hundreds of merfolk regardless of their age and gender.

'Umu... I feel as if someone is talking about me.' said Ainz as he took out 2 [Divine Class] rings from his inventory and put them on his index finger of the right and left hands.

Ainz stood amidst the ruins of the once bustling coastal village of Gatenbarg. He closed his eyes as he settled down to plan about his future actions.

In actuality this was all an act to lure those who were in hiding; waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

[Silent Cast : Discern Enemy - 4th]

'Hmm... There seem to be about 14 undead. Judging by their stats and equipment, 7 seem to be magic casters and 6 skeleton warriors. The one in robes seems to be an [Elder lich - Red Counterfeiter]. Judging by its level, it is only level 24. The rest seem to be under its control.' analyzed Ainz.

'I know you are there.' Ainz called out.

Hearing what he said, all of them appeared except a skeleton warrior who was probably placed there in case of things going awry.

'You seem to be one of those liches.' Ainz continued.

'To know of my kind yet not show disgust like those who are of your kind usually do. I must say this is a first for me.' said the lich. His raspy voice filled with amusement.

'Well you learn as you age. I am no different. After my adventures i have learnt of when to deal out judgement and when to hold back. Surely such thinking is the norm for liches is it not? Planning. Planning. Planning. Though i can say this with assurity that undead like you spend their time learning about this world.' said Ainz casually.

'Truly. This day must be a blessing from the world itself. To meet one such as you who can not only talk with us but also respect our craft.' said the lich who was now completely focused on Ainz.

'So why have you come here? What is it that you want from me?' asked Ainz his voice indicating ignorance as if to decieve the lich come in close to him.

'My teacher has learnt about your great talents. He has asked of me to bring you to him.' said the lich as he put emphasis on the word 'bring'.

'I presume i don't have much a choice.' said Ainz in a monotonous voice.

'I like perceptive individuals like you. To answer your question, Yes. You have no choice. My master wanted to use you to create various poisons then experiment on your corpse by turning you into an undead. But fear not I will put in a good word for you. I am not sure whether you would survive or not. It all depends on teacher's whims.' said the lich with devotion in his voice at the mention of his teacher.

'If i am going to be captured, killed and raised as a monster i would rather go down fighting.' Ainz fakely said with a voice which burned with resolve.

'Thank You. TouchMe-San. You are seriously an Angel. I owe you a second time. My friend you saved me once and now you saved me here. How i wish to meet you again!' thought Ainz as he remembered a great friend he had lost.

'You warrior guys are really annoying. I wanted to take you back peacefully but now i will show you despair. Teacher had told me how your powers worked. You are the type to keep distance and throw poisonous arrows or flasks from there. And when you are forced to fight in close quarters you take out a dagger covered with venom and strike true. This is how you have fought all your life. Haven't you?' said the lich as he mocked Ainz.

'How did you...' shouted Ainz but he stopped midway as he placed a hand on the back of his thigh. This was done in order to trick the lich into believing that he had guessed correct and Ainz had put his hand on his non-existing dagger strapped to the back of his thigh out of habit. His eyes which were covered with a white visor could not be seen but he acted as if his hands were trembling out of fear.

Seeing this the lich got even more bolder.

'Kukuku...' The lich laughed maniacally as he kept walking towards Ainz at a slow and steady place. Ainz pretended to back off a few steps as if he feared the lich.

Now the lich stood infront of him. Even though the lich was shorter than Ainz in size, it possessed enough magical capability to kill Ainz who was only level one. That is if one excluded his [Divine Class] ring which allowed him to resurrect without any great cost to his experience and his [Divine Class] armor which would make even kings ashamed of their attires.

Now one may ask how Ainz got a [Divine Class] Item if he has no access to Nazarick. The answer is [Data Crystals]. By using them, he altered the shape of his [Robes] to that of an [Armor]. Even though changing a mage's robe into a warrior's armor was not possible in Yggdrasil, this was now discovered by Ainz to be possible in this world. This was one of the first experiments done by Ainz on his first day.

As the lich went on and on about how great and wise his teacher was for foreseeing all of this, Ainz pulled out a vial with green liquid from behind.

As Ainz was only level 1, he did not possess enough speed and his actions were seen by the lich. But the lich wanted to see what Ainz could do to him with a little glass bottle of poison. To him who is an undead. Someone who is immune to such human-like weaknesses.

'Go On!' said the lich mockingly as if he was assured of his victory.

Rufus a red haired boy who had nothing to his name but his name. He had a loving family. Good people they were. Father worked hard as a farmer. Mother who helped out his father in the fields. A little sister who annoyed him more times than he could count.

As time passed, his mother died. His father tried to fill in both his and the mother's role in the family just to keep everyone together. After 15 years 2 months 12 days when the sun was just about to start descending back to the horizon, his father's soul left.

'I..Take.. C.are. Y.ou .. Y.o.ur Sist.er. M.ak.e ...me pr..ou.d. E.ln..ia too.' A blue light flashed in his father's eyes as he died.

Time continued to pass.

'Gods don't even take care of us.' said Rufus as he was sitting on the sidewalks of the road crying as he tried to pull out his flame red hair.

A certain cardinal of darkness was walking through the same slums to check upon the state of people there and then requesting his lord Surshana to create his summons to help improve these slum's condition. In return he will be provided the corpses of the people from slums.

This cardinal was Banezari Anchas Oreio Lagier. He was looking for people who belonged to the slums and had died. During his walk he saw a middle aged man balling his eyes out. He understood then and there that the boy had lost someone dear to him.

'My condolences. May i speak a few words?' said the cardinal as he sat near Rufus.

'Go away. I want to be alone.' shouted the Rufus.

'Sigh... It must be hard for you. This pain will go away. It will take time. But it will go away.' the cardinal gave advice to Acras and patted his back.

'That's what hurts the most. I have always moved on. Now i don't want to go on living without her. I have outlived my parents and now even my sister is dead. Why am i always left behind? Why Me?' shouted out Rufus as he wept.

'Lord Surshana will not be happy if he learnt of what i am about to do.' The cardinal of darkness sighed internally.

'I may not know why you are going through such a loss but let me assure you that there is a way. A way for you to have your family back. I was given this same choice by Lord Surshana. In exchange he took something from me. While that certain thing was not more precious than my own family, it still was a part of me. Will you take my hand and fight your fate?' asked the cardinal in an emotional voice as he felt quite melancholic. He felt as if the young man in front of him was a reflection of his.

'I will do anything. Anything to have even the slightest chance to talk to them one more time.' pleaded Rufus desperately.

'From now on you will call me your teacher. Lord Surshana will require your flesh, blood and soul. Metaphorically and quite literally. Come follow me.' said Cardinal Banezari.

'Yes teacher. I will follow you till my last breath.' said Rufus with a fire in his heart as he wiped his tears and snot.

'You will realize how mistaken you were in thinking of how a single lifetime would be enough in exchange for the resurrection of your family.' said the cardinal as he pitied the boy for what he would become.

Banezari walked towards the church's headquarters and Rufus followed him like a duckling following its mother.

'[Silent Cast : Dominate Undead - 6th]'

As Ainz casted his silent spell, the lich before him lost all will to even talk. Ainz decided to ask the lich a few questions as he had sensed a connection form between himself and the lich.

'What is your name?' Ainz asked the lich infront of him.

'Rufus. I belong to [Corpus Of Abyss]' said the lich with red bones.

'Where is your base of operation and who is this master of yours?' inquired Ainz.

'[Corpus Of Abyss] has hundreds of bases of operations. Because of security reasons we do not have a preferred base. My master and his peers decide on which base they would meet. Though this happens quite rarely.' replied Rufus.

'Hmm... I will ask you more questions later. For now bring every last one of your summons.' ordered Ainz.

'As you wish.' The undead said as he gave his summons a mental command.

As the command was given 10 more skeletons came out of their hiding spots.

Ainz put his gloved hands into his robes, opened his inventory inside the robes and secretly pulled out a sword. He started crushing every undead except Rufus. After he finished killing all of the unliving, he turned towards Rufus and opened his mouth to speak.

'From now on you will create undead for me. Use a disguise spell and always follow me. Actually how many undead can you create?' asked Ainz.

'I can only create 10 undead in a day because i lack [Negative Energy] as compared to [Night Liches]. I can only control 12 undead at a time.' answered Rufus.

'Hmm... If i put 5 levels in my [Overlord] class, i would lose out on the rest of my spell's original power. I can cast many low to mid tier necromancers spells but their power would only be about 85% of the original. On the other hand i could try to put 5 levels in [Overlord] race without first completing the 10 levels of my [Elder Lich] class.' thought Ainz.

'[System]! How much experience have i gathered?' asked Ainz.

[Killed 1504809 Merfolk]

[79002473 Experience Gained]

[User Isn't Close Enough To Absorb Experience]

[Sealing Experience Until Conditions are Met]

[Sealing Merfolk [Records] Until Conditions Are Met]

'Hey [System]! Even if you can't tell me more about [Records, You can at least tell me how i can unseal experience.' said Ainz in an exasperated voice.

[To Unseal Experience, The User Must Be At least 30 Mile Near The Dead Bodies Of Those Whom He Has Killed]

'Wow Another fetch quest. How original.' mockingly said Ainz.

[Message - Shalltear]

'Lord Ainz is that you?' asked a cute voice which would have normally belonged to a well mannered girl if it had not belonged to Shalltear.

'Yes Shalltear. How long would it take to come back?' asked Ainz.

'My Lord about 6 hours if i have to mantain secrecy. If not then just 30 minutes.' replied Shalltear.

'No that would take too much time. I need you here and now.'

As Ainz said these words, Shalltear's heart fluttered with emotions of all kind. Happy. Lustful. But most of all she felt prideful because her Master had demanded her worthy enough to be near him.

'No! Your first and foremost priority should be maintaining secrecy. Only a fool would make the world aware of his existence unnecessarily and I am no fool. I didn't want to make you use your [Gate - 10th] spell as it would have left you without magic.' Ainz told Shalltear.

'Don't worry about me. Even without my spells i am strong to go toe to toe with 2 level 100 and win. My Lord I beg of you to put your trust in me. I shall not dissapoint your great self.' replied Shalltear with maddening zealotry.

'Umu... Then open up a [gate] to the village we were in before you left. I want to go for a little walk.' said Ainz.

'As you wish My Lord.' said Shalltear.

As Ainz was about to ask Shalltear why she started to call him 'Lord' again, a rift in space opened up in front of him. It was an obsidian colored oval shaped hole in the fabric of reality. Ainz was surprised as the space around the [Gate] had started forming cracks.

Ainz hesitantly walked through the [Gate] as it looked quite unstable. Rufus followed him without showing any emotions as he didn't possess them anymore.

'What the hell? What? Why? Why? Why didn't i realize it sooner? This is hell. So much suffering. Why is it that I always hurt others? I am no different than Betelguese. No even worse than him. Even he didn't caused this much death?' lamented Ainz no Subaru as he saw the destruction caused by Shalltear.

He was beyond horrified. Because of him even more were hurt. It was not like he hadn't killed off an entire world's worth of people. But those deaths served a greater purpose. But this. This was cruel.

'Welcome Lord Ainz! Did I do good?' asked Shalltear as she welcomed Ainz on the other side of the [Gate]. But Subaru remained silent. He did not answer her back. He couldn't answer or even hear anything. Right now he saw hell. A purple hell.

Corpses littered the coasts. Purple blood and viscera covered the coasts and colored the sea. Everyone was slaughtered regardless of any distinction. It made him disgusted. Not because of those merfolk who got killed. No he was disgusted at himself.

As he looked around he saw a fish headed merfolk protecting its child. Both of them had a hole pierced through them. Their bodies mangled beyond repair. Poisonous fluids poured out of every orfice of their body.

For the first time he not only hated himself but he also hated someone other than himself. He truly truly hated Ainz.

Suddenly [The System] popped up with a new notification for him.

[User Is Undergoing Through Desynchronization]

[Mentally Seperating The User And Ainz Ooal Gown]

And then everything turned dark.

Ainz and Subaru were now sitting on a bench in their mindscape. Both sat and said nothing as they passively felt each other's intents.

After communicating with only their intents for a while, Subaru opened his mouth to speak.

'Don't Worry. I am not angry at Shalltear. She did not do anything wrong. She only followed through what I said. Though I wonder, was it really that easy to kill all of them without any remorse.' said Subaru casually.

'Gah! I can't even feel any emotions in this place. Now that i think about it what is this place?' asked Subaru as he was not interested in his previous question anymore.

'From what i have seen this is the same place where we were when i used... [Control Amnesia - 10th] on you.' replied Ainz as he hesitated on the last part.

'Ah! That was when you tried to destroy my mind just because you had a gut feeling about me. I still remember those good ol'days.' said Subaru as he teased Ainz about his paranoia.

'I thought that you would have already let go of this fact. At least that was the impression i got after judging your mentality. Guess i misjudged you then.' said Ainz as he sighed with a little speck of embarrassment in his non-existing heart.

'No you were correct about me. Though i am angry but not at what you did to me in the past. As to why i am angry it is quite simple. Let me tell you a story. A story you have already heard, seen and experienced after i synchronized with you.' said Subaru with exhilaration.

And thus Subaru once again told Ainz what it meant to be Subaru Natsuki. His morals. His ambitions. His sacrifices. Each and every thing which made him who he is now.

'I let you have control as i was too tired to even continue existing even as sub-concious after living for such a long time. That was a mistake. A big mistake. So from now on you and i will have an equal say in every action that we are going to take in the future. You will handle everything except the act of judging. Only i will judge and decide who should live or who should be turned into materials. These are my conditions.' said Subaru as his eyes held infernal fires of resolve.

'Those seem fair. As long as you and i remain synchronized and Shalltear remains safe that is all i ask.' said Ainz in his salesman pitch as he put forth his own conditions.

'Agreed. It is a relief you are quick witted. You realized that [The System] only called me the user but referred to you as Ainz. Which means that...' Subaru realized that Ainz had caught onto [The System]'s last notification's actual meaning. He considered that it was of no use keeping secrets from Ainz so he just started explaining to him the actual meaning. But he was interrupted by Ainz mid-sentence.

'Which means that [The System] only belongs to you or at the very least, it recognizes you as its [User]. But not me. It called me Ainz Ooal Gown which can only mean that it considers me an outsider. But why? That is something that i don't understand.' said Ainz a little disappointed at the fact he didn't have enough information to work with.

Suddenly the mindscape lit up with light. The now blue sky was covered by the system's iconic screen.

[The User Was Chosen Based On The Number Of Records Possessed]

[The User Had His Records Absorbed By The System]

[Currently User Has 2 Records]

[Currently Ainz Has 0 Records]

'[System]! What are the [Records] I possess now?' inquired Subaru.

[Merfolk - 100%]

[Elder Lich - 2%]

[The Records You Possess Will Act As Bonus During Summoning Them Or Gaining More Experience From Them]

[You Can Now Summon Merfolk Without Regents And Data Crystals]

[Merfolk Summoned Through Records Will Have Twice The Base Stats]

[Synchronization Rate - 40%]

[In Case Of Synchronization Rate Being Less Than 80%, The User And Ainz Ooal Gown Will Be Forcefully Seperated]

[Skills May Get Randomly Distributed]

[Levels May Get Randomly Distributed]

'Yeah! Not gonna happen.' said Subaru as he asked the system a simple question.

'How Can Synchronization Rate or whatever you call it, can be increased.' inquired Subaru.

[All Souls In User's Body Must Not Have Conflicting Desires]

[If You Negotiate With The Soul And Come To An Understanding Then This Rate Increases]

'Ok. Now go away.' said Subaru as he shooed away the system. The screen disappeared and now the sky was once again colored cerulean blue.

'Now do you realize what would happen if one of us went rogue?' Subaru said to Ainz.

'Quite clearly. Looks like i will have to postpone killing you.' Ainz said as he chuckled at his bad attempt to lighten the mood.

'That sounds like something you would actually do.' Subaru said in a teasing voice.

'Well... Becoming an [Overlord] does that to a person.' Ainz gave his own half-baked excuse.

'Heh...' Subaru only snorted at Ainz's retort.

'Umu... Shouldn't we be returning? We have spent quite a lot of time here even if i can't fully grasp the concept of time in this place. We should return to Shalltear. She must be feeling scared.' Ainz said as he smiled at the thought of someone being worried for him.

'Sure...' Subaru clapped his hands together and their shared mindscape crumbled to sands.

They were now back in the [New World]. But this time it was Subaru who had more control.

'Lord Ainz are you alright?... Lord Subaru is that you?' Shalltear called out to Ainz but soon realized that it was Subaru.

'Sup. How are you doing? It has been a while since we talked face to face right. Though I wonder how did you realize it was me but not Ainz?' politely asked Subaru.

'I dont know much but I somehow knew whether you were Lord Ainz or not. I deduced that it must be you as you yourself said that both of you are one. By observing your words and actions i realized that you often replaced Lord Ainz when he was negotiating with that filth of a mage who without shame asked for your services. Overtime I started picking up on minute details such as yours and Lord Ainz's habits.' explained Shalltear.

'Well... You can tell me more about your stalking habits later. For now we have an important task at hand.' said Subaru as he poked fun at Shalltear. Instead of getting embarrassed, Shalltear became happy and took Subaru's words as a promise.

'As you say Lord Subaru. I will tell you more about it after we have completed the task at hand.' said Shalltear with glee in her voice as she had gotten the chance to tell her Master more about herself.

'Yup! Now tell me the route you followed during your massacre of these Merfolk.' said Subaru as he once again ignored Shalltear's use of the word 'Lord'.

Shalltear pulled out the same map Ainz had given to her on the first day they arrived into this [New World]. The only difference from before was that it now showed a mapped out area of the coasts.

Subaru estimated the distance and calculated the time it would take for him to absorb 1504809 dead Merfolk. The only blessing was that was not required to come in physical contact with each corpse to take their experience. Instead being in a 10 mile radius of the targets was enough to take experience from them.

'Though covering a 671 mile long coast would be quite a task. Shalltear how much mana you currently have?' asked Subaru even though he knew the answer.

'Almost all of it. For some reason my spells require more mana to manifest. Please forgive me My Lord. l had guessed that i would have had enough mana even after casting [Gate].' apologized Shalltear even though it was not her fault.

'No. The fault lies not in you but me. I should have realized this sooner but it seems that this world restricts the spells we cast. Especially spells above 8th tier cause massive disturbances in the reality. Even that [Gate] you had casted badly affected the space surrounding it. This points to the possibility of this world having an entirely different. Now that i think about it, close the [Gate]. I want to test its after effects.' said Subaru as he waited for Shalltear to close the [Gate].

Shalltear turned to face the [Gate]. It had started to tear the fabric of reality little by little just like her Master had told her just now. She relayed her intent to the [Gate]. The [Gate] turned to purple smoke but the cracks did not dissappear along with the [Gate]. Instead the purple smoke or miasma as Subaru had called it was absorbed by the cracks. This resulted in the number of cracks increasing.

'Thud! Thud! Thud!...' Loud banging came from the other side of the cracks. The cracks started to intensify.

Subaru instinctively cast an [All Appraisal - 8th] scroll on the cracks in reality to see what was behind it. He had a feeling that whatever behind it was strong.

[Akṣobhya - 105]

[Five Rainbow Buddhas]

'Hell No! Shalltear pick me up and run as far away as you can after i cast my spells. I can't let it out of the cracks. I don't know whether it will work or not but now that this is no longer a game, things might be different.' said Subaru.

'Do you need my help?' asked Ainz in Subaru's head.

'Would be great if you helped me out a little.' agreed Subaru as he was not sure that he could even stall the being beyond the cracks.

Ainz took over as Subaru relinquished the conciousness of the body to him.

Ainz after taking over the body started to analyze and thought of a plan for stopping it. Killing it in his current condition was impossible.

'If there were 36 of me with access to my original power then i would have had the chance of killing it but now it is hopeless. The best i can do is seal it for a while.' said Ainz as he started taking out [Sealing] scrolls of all tiers and used them all on the fissure.

The air around him lit up with heatless blue flames as he used quite a large number of scrolls.

'In Yggdrasil, one could increase the duration of raid boss's phase animation. These scrolls would not have much of an effect on a [World Enemy] but delaying it is the best I can do right now.' said Ainz keeping his visor covered eyes still on the cracks.

What he saw in front of the cracks was a timer.

[999:999:999]

[999:999:998]

[999:999:997]

'Looks like i have hit the maximum time limit for [Sealing]. Wait a minute! Can it be recharged? If so i can still use my 5 remaining scrolls of [Sealing].' said Ainz.

[It Is Possible]

[But That Would Be Ill-Advised]

[World Enemy Are Connections For The Laws Of Every World]

[Their Existence Stabilizes The Structure Of Reality They Inhabit]

[Sealing A World Enemy For More Time Than Suggested By The [System] Would Grant It The Ability To Absorb Records]

[Moreover The Very Reality Would Lose All Magic And Physics]

'Yeah sealing them permanently is out of the question. Now the only thing i can do is run away and gather enough experience to become level 115 or gather at least 40 level 100s.' thought Ainz.

'Rufus!' Ainz called out to the red lich.

'You called me Master?' A red skeletal figure appeared right next to Ainz.

'Yes. From now on stay near these cracks. Inform me of anything which you think is deserving of my attention. Create low tier undead in your free time.' instructed Ainz.

'I understand Master. Forgive me Master. I can create as many undead as i want but I can only control upto 13 undead among them.

'Just create massive holes underground and put them there.' suggested Ainz.

'But concentrating undead will lead to even more powerful undead rising. Creating them is not hard but controlling them is hard.' The lich gave reasons as to why he was not strong enough for this task.

'You mean to say that undead can naturally spawn.' Ainz shouted with interest Because such a phenomenon would change how he farms experience.

'Yes Master. One needs only [Negative Energy] to create undead. These undead create more [Negative Energy] which in turn corrupts the land. The corrupted land then spawns more u dead. This cycle continues as long as the undead remain on the land. If the land is not purified undead will keep spawning. We of the [Corpus Of Abyss] call this phenomenon a death spiral.' explained the lich.

[Summon Undead 6th - Plague Bomber]

A black fluid seeped from Ainz's hands which spilled on the ground. The black puddle then wriggled and a bloated undead arose from the thin surface layer of the fluid. Ainz noted that it indeed did release [Negative Energy] from its body just like how it release enrgy to heal undead hordes with its passive abilities.

'Take this undead and use it as a [Negative Energy] generator. I will create as much as i can. You will use them to create more undead.' Ainz explained his plan to the lich.

Five minutes later 20 plague bombers stood behind the lich. The lich bowed and decided to show his Master his gratitude.

'Master. I thank you. You not only forgave me for my inability but also gave me such strong undead. Your power knows no bounds. But i am not strong enough to control undead of 5th and higher level.' said Rufus as he held his head down in shame.

'Don't worry. I have ordered them to follow you. Just focus on creating the most number of undead. Forego the quality of undead. No scratch that. If you see any unique undead then lock them up. I will come and see what i can do with them.' told Ainz.

'You are alright with this right?' Ainz let out his thought in his mindscape.

'Sure. Killing any and all is fair game as long as they lack sentience.' Subaru's voice resounded in his mind.

Subaru's voice suddenly stopped.

'Looks like he is sleeping. Well anyone would be tired after living for such a long time' thought Ainz but this time no reply came.

Two figures were flying through the air at a high speed. Well they were not exactly flying like how traditional mages usually do. They were on a fancy red colored flying carpet called [Carpet Of Flying]. It looked like as if it was made of precious woven metals.

Because Ainz had the stats of a level 46 he couldn't have kept up with Shalltear who had the stats of a level hundred. So Ainz decided to use the [Carpet Of Flying] and had Shalltear pilot it. Now Ainz sat while Shalltear piloted the carpet while standing.

Though for some reason Shalltear flew the carpet at the same speed a level 60 would have had.

'Shalltear!' Ainz called out.

'Yes Lord Ainz.' said Shalltear as she bowed.

'Can you go a little faster? My mana bar would be refilled in about 18 hours. I want to quickly gather all the experience and return to Gatenbarg. From there we can start learning about this world a little more. The quicker we finish gathering experience the quicker we can find a way to call forth Nazarick into this world.' Ainz kindly told Shalltear.

'Yes My Lord! Forgive Me. I only flew slowly because i just wanted to spend a little more time serving you. We will be returning to that weakling mage's city in half an hour.' Shalltear apologized and held her head low in dissapointment.

Ainz looked below. It was a bloodbath. He would have emptied his stomach's contents if he had one. His current body only had a humanoid appearance meaning if he did not cover his body anyone would notice that he is not a human.

'I will have to try teaching Shalltear some self-control. Killing everything in sight may provoke someone strong.' thought Ainz as he looked towards the sky.

Somewhere on the top of a mountain.

'Yaaaawn.' A platinum dragon yawned as he was quite tired. He had returned to his lair after having fought with that undead of the Theocracy.

'That fool Surshana does not understand what is coming. The rift made by the Dragon Emperor will call forth another wave of [Players]. If he agrees to resurrect the other 5 players then we would surely be able to stop them. Even though they died of old age i would have just used a little [Wild Magic] or my blood to make them immortal. If he doesn't agree to help me I will just go into hiding.' said the platinum scaled dragon. His voice impatient.

He turned to face the large crystal which floated mid-air. It was one of the two things his father had given him. The first was the crystal in question and the second was a thin book. No calling it a book would be too much. It was just 4 pages binded together.

The crystal kept hovering and turning at odd angles. On it these words were written.

'8 Beings Who Have Power Beyond Measure Will Enter This World.'
