A little boy with black messy, unkempt hair and black eyes was walking down the street all by himself. He was literally thrown out the window by his best friend's father due to one thing or another. He didn't stick around after sticking his tongue out at the aforementioned father before literally flying away. Now, he landed on a sidewalk far away from his best friend's house to a neighborhood he was not familiar with. He, however, was not bothered by it as it was just another adventure for himself. As he kept on walking, the little boy stopped when he heard a painful girlish cry. The little boy didn't like the sound that he heard before running towards said sound. There, at an unfamiliar park, was a little girl with two blonde pigtails on her head. She was rubbing her hands over her eyes as a slightly older boy and his friends started to point and laugh at her. "Hey," called out the little boy, "What are you doing to her?"

"Nothin' that concerns you, pipsqueak," sneered one of the boys.

"Yeah," said another, "This baka just can't take a joke."

"Like I would even consider her as a friend," sneered another.

"You should say sorry to her," said the little boy, "It's not nice to say that you aren't her friend."

"Demo, we're not," said the last boy.

"Besides, what are you going to do about it," questioned the first boy, "You're just a pipsqueak like the baka here!"

The little boy frowned as the older boys started to laugh. Getting into a defensive fighting stance, the older boys started to laugh harder. They, apparently, didn't think that the little boy could take them on. They, however, were wrong just as one of the guys ran forward to punch the little boy. The little boy, on his part, dodged quickly before punching said running boy in the stomach. The older boy clutched his stomach in pain before telling the others to get the little boy. It didn't take long as the little boy quickly indisposed the older boys who were picking on the little girl. Said little boy, however, was taken aback when he saw teary, crystal blue eyes staring at him. "A-Arigatō for helping me," said the girl shyly.

"No problem," said the boy, "Besides, kāchan (mom) said to always be kind to girls."

"Your kāchan must be very nice," said the girl.

"Ahahaha," laughed a nervous boy, "She can be a bit angry at times."

"Really," questioned the girl.

"Un," nodded the boy, "This one time, a friend of my tōchan (dad)'s came over to tell kāchan something…"

- Back At The Little Boy's Best Friend's House –

"What do you MEAN you chuck Goten out of the window," yelled out a blue haired woman, Bulma.

"The brat was asking for it," said an equally angry man, Vegeta.

It was the afternoon that the little boy Goten's older brother, Gohan, came over to pick him up before heading back home to their mother. Said brother arrived after his school let out and greeted Bulma at the door. Bulma gestured for Gohan to follow her to where she THOUGHT Goten would be… playing video games with her son, Trunks. However, as the two came into the video game room, Trunks and Goten were not to be found. Bulma was quick to know that the two were probably training with Vegeta and started to head over to the gravity chamber, a room that could manipulate Earth's gravity to be heavier. Gohan and Bulma saw Trunks sparring with Vegeta, but there was NO sign of little Goten. Bulma started to grit her teeth as she asked where Goten was. Trunks, who didn't want to get on his mom's bad side, tattled on his dad before flying out of the room to get away from the shouting. "So, Goten isn't here," asked a worried Gohan.

"Apparently, not," said Bulma who glared at Vegeta harshly, "My dear husband of mine chuck Goten out the window and left him outside. Now, Goten could be anywhere!"

"I guess I'll head out now and try to find Goten," said Gohan.

"Trunks and Vegeta will go with you," said Bulma.

"Nani (What)," questioned Vegeta with his own glare.

"It's your fault that poor little Goten is out there by himself," said Bulma, "So, you WILL go and find him."

"I will not," said Vegeta who crossed his arms.

"You will or I'll dismantle the gravity chamber," threatened Bulma who somehow had a wrench in her hand.

Vegeta glared vehemently at Bulma. On the one hand, this was his rival's child out there and can take care of himself. On the other hand, Bulma knew that if he didn't go, then it is bye bye to the one place where he would do his intense training. Huffing in defeat he started to levitate before looking at his rival's other child. Trunks, on his part, grinned before levitating as well. "Well, brat," said Vegeta with a scowl, "What are you waiting for?"

"Oh, right," said Gohan who levitated off of the ground as well, "We'll be back soon, Bulma."

"Take your time," said Bulma as three streaks of white energy went through the sky.

- With The Two Children –

"So," said the little boy, "What's your name?"

"Tsukino Usagi," said the little girl, "And yourself?"

"Son Goten," said the proud Goten as he puffed his chest out.

The now known little girl, Usagi, started to giggle at how ridiculous the now known little boy, Goten, was being. She, however, started to pout at what happened before Goten came. She knew that she shouldn't have believed what those boys said about being her friends, but she couldn't help it. She felt very lonely because she recently moved to this city with her family. Her old friend, Naru, was back home in Jūban too. So, when she asked if the older boys would be her friend, she was ecstatic that they agreed… only to find out that it was a joke as one of the boys dumped water over her head. But, now, she may have found a new friend… hopefully. "So, why were you crying," questioned Goten.

"I-I just moved here and am new," said Usagi, "I felt lonely and was asking kids around the park if they would be my friend. Those boys said they would… demo eyes tearing they dumped water over my head and called me a baka for ever thinking that we were f-friends."

"That's not very nice," said Goten with a frown.

"I know," said a dejected Usagi.

"Well, their lose, then," said Goten who brightened up quickly.

"Eh," questioned Usagi.

"You seem like fun," said Goten, "So, let's be friends!"

Usagi blinked at the straightforwardness that Goten blurted out. She couldn't believe that even though the older boys were jerks, this little boy in front of her wanted to be her friend. Usagi looked into Goten's black eyes to see if there was any deceit in them. She, however, didn't find any mean glint in his eyes. Goten, on the other hand, shifted a bit. He knew that he shouldn't have been blunt like that, but this little girl… this little pretty girl… needed cheering up. He also wasn't wrong when he thought Usagi seemed like a fun girl to be around with. It didn't take long for Goten to have his arms full of Usagi hugging him. "You really mean it," questioned Usagi as she pulled slightly back from her glomping/hugging Goten.

"Of course," said Goten with a goofy smile on his face, "I really do want to be your friend, Usagi-chan."

"Yatta (Yay)," said a very happy Usagi who hugged Goten again, "My very first friend in Satan City!"

"And this friend is wondering if you wanted to fly," said Goten.

"Fly," questioned Usagi, "Silly Goten! People can't fly."

"They can too," said Goten, "And I can prove it."

Usagi looked a bit skeptical but nodded her head in agreement. With that nod of approval, Goten carefully lifted himself off of the pavement. Goten then shot around Usagi with a gleeful smile on his face. Floating in front of Usagi, he could see her pretty blue eyes widen in surprise and wonder. Goten knew that if his brother saw him now, he would get scolded for telling a human about his powers. Yet, for some reason, he could feel a hidden power within his new friend. Usagi, on her part, stared at Goten in wonder before asking a question. "Can you take me flying," questioned Usagi.

"I'm not strong enough just yet to carry someone," said Goten.

"Oh," said a disappointed Usagi.

"Demo, there's another way we both can fly together,' said Goten happily.

"Eh," questioned Usagi, "Really?"

"Really," said Goten, "Gohan, my older brother, lets me have Nimbus all to myself so I can get around."

"Nimbus," questioned Usagi.

"Un," nodded Goten happily, "A flying cloud!"

With that said, Goten yelled out Flying Nimbus to the sky. Usagi jumped when Goten yelled and unconsciously clutched at his arm. Goten smiled at the slightly shorter girl before a yellow flying cloud came to a complete stop in front of the two children. Usagi stared at the cloud in awe as she poked it with her index finger. She then turned to Goten with asking eyes if it was safe. Goten smiled happily before lifting an unprepared Usagi onto the cloud. Said Usagi gaped in surprise as she just SAT on the cloud in question, Goten climbing up and sitting behind Usagi. "See," said Goten, "Perfectly safe!"

"W-We're not going to fall, are we," questioned Usagi.

"Īe," said Goten, "We both have perfectly pure hearts! So, we CAN'T fall!"

"What do you mean by that," questioned Usagi.

"I don't wanna say," said Goten who looked to the side, "Besides, don't you want to fly?"

"Un," nodded Usagi tentatively.

"Then," said Goten who smiled mischievously, "Let's go Nimbus! Fly us around!"

- With Gohan –

"Mom is so going to kill me," muttered Gohan, "Then again…"

It was getting a bit dark as Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks were trying to find Goten, but to no avail. Gohan knew that his mom was going to yell at him until he got back with Goten in tow. Though, Gohan could always tell his mom that it was Vegeta who lost Goten. Gohan sighed to himself as he looked at the streets until he smacked his head with the palm of his hand. He couldn't believe he has forgotten that he could just go to where Goten was with his ki! Twitching his eye at what he had forgotten, Gohan calmed down and closed his eyes. There… a ping of ki that had to be Goten… was very close to where Gohan was up in the sky. Concentrating on that ki, Gohan shot off before landing right in front of a two story house. Gohan looked around before putting on a brave face and knocking on the door. The door opened, but not to Goten's childish face. The door opened to reveal a woman with purplish hair and dark blue eyes. "Hai," questioned the woman.

"Ah, gomen ma'am," said Gohan, "Demo, have you seen a little boy with black hair and black eyes? He would also be wearing an orange outfit with a long, blue shirt underneath."

"Are you Son Gohan," questioned the woman.

"Hai," answered a confused Gohan.

"Well, then," said the woman, "Please come in. Goten is just finishing up some dinner with my family."

"Goten is actually here," questioned Gohan who sighed in relief.

"Un," nodded the woman, "He and my little Usagi were playing at the park. Seeing as he didn't have anyone with him, we invited him over to stay until someone came looking for him."

"Ahahaha," laughed Gohan nervously, "Yeah. Goten wandered off and I, along with my friends, have been looking for him ever since."

The woman smiled as she gestured for Gohan to follow her. Gohan looked so confused until he followed the woman to see Goten eating his fill on the table. The male, probably the husband, was gawking at Goten as he piled more food into his mouth. Gohan sighed in relief that there was indeed proof that Goten was fine… and probably eating this household out of their food supplies. Coughing to clear his throat, the sound made Goten and a little girl who too was eating rapidly to look at him. Goten placed the bowl down before slamming into Gohan's stomach. "Gohan," said a happy Goten, "What took you so long?"

"You ran off from Bulma's house," said Gohan.

"Demo, if I didn't," protested Goten, "I wouldn't have found a new friend!"

"New… friend," questioned Gohan.

"Un," said Goten before running towards the little girl.

The little girl barely had time to place HER bowl down as Goten tugged her off of her chair. That, however, was not a smart move as it just led Goten to fall on his back with the little girl around his arms and on top of him. Both children groaned, but Gohan couldn't help but to see that Goten was looking at the little girl with worry. The little girl looked up at Goten from her position and smiled, stating that she was fine. 'It seems as though Goten does have a new friend,' thought Gohan as he saw Goten help the little girl up, 'Maybe a crush?'

"Gohan," said Goten, "This is Usagi! She's my pretty friend!"

"N-Nice to meet you," said Usagi with small red hue over her cheeks.

"Same to you," said Gohan.

"Would you like to stay for dinner, Son-san," questioned Usagi's mother.

"Īe," said Gohan with a shake of his head, "I mean. Sorry, ma'am, demo our mother must be worried sick about us. Also, Goten here has to apologize to our friends for running away like that."

"Aww~," whined the two children.

With that, Gohan and Goten walked towards the front door, little Usagi following behind the two brothers. Gohan sighed as he thought about walking for miles until out of eye shot from Usagi, not knowing that his little brother showed off his flying powers. Usagi, on her part, was still pouting. She was going to be lonely again. However, Goten surprised both Gohan and Usagi. "See you tomorrow, Usa-chan," said Goten with a smile.

"T-Tomorrow," questioned Usagi.

"Un," nodded Goten, "I want to play with Usagi again!"

"I like that," said Usagi with a smile.

"And maybe," said Goten, "Tomorrow, Trunks can come and meet ya too! He can be your second friend!"

"Now, Goten," said Gohan, "I'm sure mom will be fine with you going over to Usagi's, demo, Trunks doesn't have permission yet."

Goten pouted but brightened up suddenly. He knew that he can just ask Bulma if Trunks can come, and that would be the easy part. Levitating off a bit from the ground, Goten smiled widely as he floated towards Usagi, not once noticing Gohan's panicking face. Usagi, on her part, saw the smile and smiled herself. She couldn't wait to see a new friend. Hopefully, this Trunks person is nice as well. Practically leaping into Goten's arms again, Usagi impulsively gave Goten a kiss on the cheek. "It's a promise," said Usagi.

"Un," said Goten who had a slight red hue on his face.

"Can we fly on Nimbus again," questioned Usagi.

"If you want to," said Goten, "Demo, I'm going to train and train until I can actually carry YOU when we fly."

"I can't wait," squealed Usagi.

As Usagi and Goten said their goodbyes again, Goten immediately shot up in the sky, Gohan looking between Goten and Usagi in surprise and wonder. Gohan immediately looked Usagi in the eye to keep the flying a secret, hoping to get this adventure story out of Goten soon. Usagi smiled reassuringly at Gohan before Gohan took off towards Goten's disappearing form. "Usagi, come back in and finish your dinner," called out her mother.

"Hai~," sang Usagi.

- With The Brothers –

"Goten has a girlfriend," teased Gohan once he had gotten the full story out of Goten during their flight home.

"I do not," said Goten who was blushing slightly, "Usagi is my new pretty friend!"

"You called her pretty," guffawed Gohan, "You have it bad, otōto."

"Gohan," whined Goten.

"Don't worry, Goten," said Gohan, "I'm sure you and Usagi will marry one day. Just don't forget to invite me to the wedding!"

"Gohan," cried out Goten as Gohan's laughter ran out in the air.
