It was a couple of days after the first task for the Triwizard Tournament that was being held at Hogwarts. Of course, there were only a few handfuls of people who weren't even interested in the tournament, and among those handfuls of people were three particular students: Son Gohan, his little brother Son Goten, and Briefs Trunks. All three were handsome young men, having one in Ravenclaw, one in Hufflepuff, and one in Gryffindor. They also didn't care that they were in different houses. The three will always stay together and hang out or, in Gohan's case, study for upcoming exams. Right now, the three were in the library with Gohan pushing his younger brother and Trunks into working on their homework. "Come on guys," said Gohan, "Mom and your mom wants you two to finish everything before you can have fun."
"Demo, Gohan," whined Goten, "This is so boring!"
"Yeah," agreed Trunks, "Why can't we spar or fight those dragons?"
"Yeah," said an enthusiastic Goten, "I bet I could knock out the dragon in one punch!"
"Don't you mean me," bragged Trunks.
"Īe," argued Goten, "Me!"
"Guys," groaned out Gohan, "You know you aren't supposed to talk about our Saiyajin powers. You promised not to use it either!"
"Fine," groaned out the two adolescents.
"Thank you," said Gohan, "Now, get back to your homework."
It was silent in the library with only the writings of pens on notebook paper were heard. It wasn't that the three didn't turn in homework on parchment, but the three were used to using non-magical writing materials to do homework. All they did was finalize the last thing on parchment and quill ink before turning it into the professors. It's also not like the professors ever saw the three using anything but the magical writing materials. With Gohan making sure Goten and Trunks were focused on their homework, their homework was finally done. "That's the last sentence," said a happy Goten.
"Good on you," said Gohan.
"Why did we promise our moms that we would finish our homework before having fun," groaned out Trunks.
"It's not that bad," said Gohan.
"Speak for yourself," said the two together.
"Alright, alright," laughed Gohan, "Anyways, do you guys know who you are going to take to the Yule Ball before we fly back home for Christmas Day?"
The two stared at Gohan for a moment. They thought that Gohan wouldn't ask them about it since the Yule Ball announcement was made recently. All three had to stand with their own head of houses to learn how to formally dance with a partner. Gohan was lucky that his girlfriend from Satan City was also a Hogwarts student. He didn't have to ask anyone to the dance. Trunks thought about it as his thoughts kept on shifting towards one of the girls from Hufflepuff. The girl in his mind had golden hair that was spun in two balls on top of her head before forming two pigtails that almost touched the ground. Thinking about her always brought butterflies to his stomach. "I don't know about me," said Goten, "Demo, I DO know who Trunks wants to take."
"Really," questioned Gohan intrigued, "Who would that be?"
"Our very own Tsukino-Son Usagi," said Goten with a smirk.
"Eh," questioned Gohan with a raised eyebrow, "You mean our adopted imōto (little sister)? That Usagi?"
"Do we know any other Usagis that was adopted since she was four when tōsan (dad) found her family murdered and she miraculously survived by being hidden in a closet of all places," asked Goten deadpanned.
"Īe," said Gohan.
"Or other Usagis that grew up alongside us and learned how to fight with us until kāsan (mom) put her foot down," asked Goten.
"Okay, I get it," said Gohan as he thought about Usagi.
He remembered when Tsukino Usagi came into the Son family. Goku, their father, was flying back to their house from Bulma, Trunks' mother, place when he heard a scream from a house from below. Flying down, he came upon a gruesome sight of monsters tearing up two people into shreds while glowing omnisciently. It looked as though those monsters were draining the life out of the two. Goku didn't waste any time in firing a ki blast that disintegrated the monsters. Goku also hurried to try to save the people, only for the female to tell Goku to leave them and save her daughter, Usagi. Goku silently grieved and promised to protect their daughter before finding said daughter in a closet, fast asleep. It was then and there that they now had another person living at the Son family after a lot of yelling from Chichi, their mother. They, however, were surprised that Usagi had magic like within Chichi's side of the family, making little Usagi to go and be sorted into Hufflepuff… the same house Goten was sorted in. "So, Trunks," said Gohan who snapped out of his thoughts, "Are you going to ask Usagi?"
"Huh," blinked Trunks who was too busy daydreaming about Usagi, "Ask who what?"
"Ugh," groaned Goten, "Come on, man! We all know you have a crush on our sister. We just want to know if you are going to ask her to the Yule Ball!"
"I-I don't have a crush on her," stuttered Trunks.
"Of course not," said Goten with a pat on his back before smirking at him, "You love her."
"Goten," yelped out Trunks mortified.
"Well, it's true," said Goten, "Besides, you should man up and ask her to date you by asking her to the Yule Ball!"
"Though, speaking of Usagi," said Gohan, "Have any of you seen her lately?"
"Usa said she was going to hang out with her Ravenclaw friends, Ami and Michiru, her Slytherin friends, Rei and Hotaru, her Gryffindor friends, Haruka and Makoto, and her fellow Hufflepuff friend, Minako," answered Goten.
"I still marvel how Usa-chan can have friends in ALL of the houses," said Gohan with a shake of his head.
- With Usagi And Her Friends –
"You two are so lucky to be going to the ball with each other, Michiru," whined out Minako.
Tsukino-Son Usagi, the adopted daughter within the Son family, was hanging out with her seven friends. All of them were more magical in some way when they all met up before attending Hogwarts, Haruka and Michiru being the two that were already at Hogwarts. They all remembered the last battle against Chaos and were just happy to find each other within this new life. Usagi was still sad that her parents in this life died by stray Youma until Goku defeated them in a single blow. Of course, she was glad that even though she and the others were reincarnated once more, her so-called prince wasn't with them in this life. For now, she was content in sitting underneath a tree with her seven friends from this life and last. "I am sure that someone will ask you to the Yule Ball, Minako," said Michiru with a gentle smile.
"Demo, maybe I should do the asking instead," said Minako, "I'm sure Goten would agree to go with me."
"Don't hold your breath," snided Rei, "I'm going to ask him, and he'll agree to go with me!"
"No way, Pryo," taunted Minako, "Goten has been looking at me for days!"
"Īe, me," argued back Rei.
"Or," piped up Makoto, "Here's a thought. Maybe he has been looking at Usa-chan because you know… she's HIS imōto."
Rei and Minako paused at what Makoto said before slumping their shoulders in defeat. Of course, Goten would be looking out for Usagi, especially in the Hufflepuff's dormitory. Minako was also sure he was looking at her without Usagi, but apparently not. Usagi gave a slight guilty look that Rei and Minako waved their hands away, indicating that they weren't hurt by what Goten was doing. Maybe the two should ask Goten at the same time, and whoever he picked there were no hard feelings? Despite pondering on it, Hotaru was the one who piped up about something else. "Usa-chan, who do YOU want to ask you," questioned Hotaru.
"I… have never thought about that," said Usagi with a frown, "I would have always thought Endymion would have been reincarnated with us, demo…"
"Pluto did say that he was reincarnated, yet he has no memories of us," said Ami with a frown, "Pluto said that he has asked that he doesn't remember anything from our Jūban days when he got reincarnated."
"You don't need him anyways," said Minako, "Besides, didn't you guys hated each other before finding out about the other?"
Usagi nodded her head as she thought back before Sailor Moon. Mamoru, Endymion's reincarnated self, would always taunt her and tease her harshly, making her cry silently at night before sleeping. She also had time to think that maybe she was being pushed to be with Mamoru during that lifetime. Yet, it made her appreciate the present, where she finally didn't HAVE to fight any evil despite growing up in a family that consists of a human, a Saiyajin, and two half-Saiyajins. Shaking her head mentally, she couldn't help but look over to the side. "Is that Harry," questioned Usagi.
"You're right," said Minako with a glint in her eye, "Did you want HIM to ask you to the ball?"
"No guy is going NEAR our hime, Venus," said Haruka with a glare.
"And, I don't think I want to go with him," said Usagi who slyly looked at Hotaru, "It seems as though Hotaru has her sights for our wizarding hero."
"'Taru," asked Michiru.
"Usa-mama is correct," said Hotaru with a blush, "Demo, I'm a Slytherin. He won't go with me even if Weasley is there too."
"Come on, Hotaru," said Makoto, "I'll go with you to make sure Ron doesn't do anything to upset you."
With that, Hotaru and Makoto broke off from their large group to try and find Harry. Haruka grumbled before she too stood up and followed Hotaru and Makoto. The rest of the girls giggled to each other at how protective Haruka was behaving. Usagi only hoped that Haruka won't beat Harry in. Famous or not… savior or not… Harry was a descent person. As for who she wanted to take her to the Yule Ball, every time she thought of the male person to take her to it, only lavender hair and bright blue eyes always stared back. She almost didn't catch what Minako was bugging her about… again. "Demo, seriously, Usa," said Minako, "DO you have someone in mind."
"I guess I do," said Usagi with a blush.
"Oh," said Rei, "Do tell!"
"And don't tell Haruka that her precious koneko (kitten) has a guy in mind," giggled Michiru.
- Days Later –
"No, sorry," said Usagi, "I will not go to the ball with you."
It was days after talking about the Yule Ball, and Usagi didn't have the ONE person that she would have liked to go to the ball with. Hotaru was ecstatic that Harry agreed while her brother, Goten, agreed to take Ami, of all girls. Rei and Minako were shocked by that outcome, but that didn't last long as they set their sights on other guys to ask. Even Makoto had agreed to go to the Yule Ball with the Ravenclaw Terry Boot. Today, however, was the six guys who asked her to the ball, and all six were turned down because they weren't the one. Usagi sighed as she sat down on a rock and contemplated that maybe she should just go and ask Trunks on her own. As she thought about asking Trunks, the one male that was on her thoughts was actually right behind her. "Usagi," questioned Trunks.
"Trunks-kun," said Usagi with a surprised look on her face.
"May I sit," questioned Trunks.
"Hai," said Usagi who patted a seat next to her.
Trunks smiled at how cute Usagi was being as he plopped right next to her. He heard from Usagi's friends AND Goten that Usagi has been asked out by six males while many more stared after her. He frowned just thinking that he didn't have a chance with Usagi after all of the guys asked her out. Usagi, on her part, kept glancing at Trunks. She knew that when they were kids, she grew a huge crush over him. She also knew that she was sad to see him and her brothers go off to Hogwarts and not her… until her letter to Hogwarts came in that is. She was still surprised that she had gotten in when she knew Trunks got his magic from his mother's mother side of the family, along with Goten and Gohan getting theirs from their mother's mother side of the family. Now… now, Usagi was sitting and relaxing with Trunks like when they were kids. "So…," said Trunks awkwardly, "Going to the Yule Ball?"
"I want to," said Usagi, "Demo, the right guy hasn't asked me yet."
"Right guy, huh,' questioned Trunks.
"Mhm," hummed Usagi.
"Mind telling me about this mysterious guy you are being hung over for," questioned Trunks.
"You want to hear this," questioned a skeptical Usagi.
"Hai," said Trunks.
"If you are sure," said Usagi who went into her thoughtful look, "Well, even though he was being a mean guy when I was little, he became quite kind to me. He's very dependable and knows how to fight well. He's is quite handsome and very lovable. I know for a fact that I can always trust him, and when I look into his blue eyes, I can tell that I will always be safe no matter what."
As Usagi started to babble about the guy she liked, Trunks was running through his head on what guys hung out with Usagi. She said that the person was very kind to her, and a lot of Hufflepuffs were, especially Cedric Diggory. Yet, he also knew that Diggory was going to the ball with his girlfriend Cho Chang. He also knew that Harry was kind to her as well, but he was going with Hotaru. Also, both guys don't really have blue eyes. Then, he started to think about Usagi's childhood. The only guys who were around her were the Z-Fighters, Goten, and… him. Trunks paused as he remembered times when he was younger that he was kind of mean to Usagi because he didn't want to hang out with a girl. However, over time, he became kind to her and was a bit protective. He also had blue eyes, but Usagi could have made other guy friends when Goten and he would ditch her for some time. It wasn't long that he heard the other things… "The guy I like is also muscular and have lilac lavender hair," said Usagi who was now lost in thought, "He is also one of my best guy friends and would train with me every summer after Hogwarts."
"Usa," questioned Trunks.
"Hai," said Usagi who snapped out of her trance.
"Is the guy you're crushing on," said Trunks before gulping and pointing at himself, "Me?"
"Uh," said a frozen Usagi.
"Because I'm the only one who you know that has lilac lavender hair," said Trunks.
Usagi thought back to what she was rambling about before flushing so badly. She couldn't believe that she rambled on about him when he was sitting just. right. next. to. her. Trunks, with hope in his heart, saw Usagi turn her head as a brilliant red hue dusted her cheeks. Chuckling inwardly to himself, Trunks used his right hand and gently grabbed Usagi's chin to turn her face to look at him. He smirked inwardly when he saw that her blush became redder than before. By using his Gryffindor bravery, Trunks lowered his face towards Usagi's before gently pressing his lips with hers. "I like you too," said Trunks as he pulled away slightly from the kiss, "I think I may have been in love with you for a while, Usa."
"I…," started Usagi who looked kind of conflicted.
"Shh," said Trunks, "It's fine that you don't feel the same for me just yet after what you told me about your last lives. Though, would you agree to go to the Yule Ball with me?"
"I would love to go to the ball with you, Trunks-kun," said Usagi with a smile, "And hai!"
"Huh," questioned Trunks, "Hai what?"
"Hai," said Usagi as she brought her face closer to Trunks, "I am probably in love with you too. Probably when we were little kids."
With that confession, Trunks smiled at Usagi before meeting her lips once more. The new couple, however, was not aware of their surroundings as they pulled away from each other. For if they looked around, they would have spotted Gohan with Videl in his arms, along with Goten and Usagi's friends, spying on them. Gohan sighed wearily as he saw the two kiss each other before turning to the others. "So, Goten," said Gohan, "Ready to question Trunk's intentions towards Usagi?"
"Let's wait for after the Yule Ball, Gohan," said Goten.
"Oh, oh, oh," said Minako with a grin, "If you are going to interrogate Trunks-san, let US be there too! After all…,"
"…We have as much right to interrogate him as much as you two do," said Makoto who crossed her arms.
"Don't forget that tōsan will need to be informed, too," said Goten.
"Hai, hai," said Gohan with a sigh, "Now that Trunks finally asked her out, let's leave them alone for now and inform the gang."
"Hai~!"
