Chapter 3

Well first things first. Find the others.

I agree. We need to find our friends and my sister before we do anything.

What about "us" and Kagami? They are not defenseless but right now they are basically just civilians.

This is not the first time "we" have had to make do when we couldn't transform.

And Kagami is a tough one.

"Alright. We have a plan." Hydra said the other four present. "Kagami, you stay here with the others and keep them safe call us if you need anything or find out more info. If BalanceMaster comes back don't try to fight just get to ground. Adrien you stand guard with Kagami as the two with the most out of costume combat experience. Luka keep scanning the news online and let us know if you spot anything. Marinette work with the others to get in touch with Master Fuu see what he knows and what advice if any he has."

Hydra was impressed how quickly everyone started working together Adrien quickly stated changing into some padded clothing that he and Kagami brought to keep up with the fencing practice and handed her one of the sabers they had brought along. While Adrien got ready Kagami was showing Marinette some of the accessibility apps and software that her mother used.

Hydra ran into the forest and began searching for their friends. Their stomach dropped after the first 30 minutes of searching as none of the others messaged them. And they had not found anything except a few snags of clothing. They had just about to leave another clearing when they felt a rock hit them in the back. Before bouncing off the nigh invulnerable costume.

They turned around to see a familiar face running towards them.

Oh thank god she is okay.

Luka thought as Juleka ran up to the base of the tree they were about to leap off on to the next tree. With little wasted movement they landed on the ground and went up to her. "Hello Juleka. That is your name right? I believe we met at your cousins birthday party." Juleka nodded showing of a mask that was very similar to the ones that Adrien, Luka and Marinette wore. "Are you hurt?"

She shook her head.

"I found some of your other friends. They were scared because they couldn't get a hold of you."

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a phone with a hole neatly melted through it.

Hydra offered their hand and asked if she wanted a ride back to the campsite. Juleka nodded once more as they carried at high speed though the trees. Until they reached the camp where she was gently put down. Once she was put down she sprinted over to her brother who had not noticed her returned and hug tackled him from behind. After being startled out of his internet searches he quickly returned the hug to his sister.

That is really sweet. I always admired how much you love your sister Luka.

Thanks she is my best friend and we have been together our entire life I can't imagine life without her.

I am glad to call her a friend as well.

Seeing that the trio continued searching the surrounding forests. Thankful the additional speed being transformed gave them. They searched for another hour before calling it. Having found nothing more than some insects and litter.

They returned to the camp to tell the other what they had found. Luka and now Juleka had found nothing of any real value online. Marinette made known that master Fu did not have any good ideas at the moment but he would try the other guardians. And Adrien and Kagami reported that they had seen nothing.

Hydra was musing on how to plan more now that someone not in the know was part of the group while also doing so effectively. When a small bug or a leaf brushed against Juleka's back and she silently jumped a few feet up from the branch she was sitting on. She landed and quickly sent an apology text for freaking out. But Adrien, Kagami and Hydra still stared at her. Or attempted to at least.

Did that what I think just happen, happen?

She has never done that before.

Really I thought all teenagers could turn invisible?

Can we hold the sarcasm until we figure out what is going on with my sister?

Let's focus please.

Adrien pulled out his phone and started texting Juleka. As Hydra headed over. They could hear the gentle rumble of a phone vibrating and the tapping of glass but they could not even see an outline of her. "Juelka are you still there?" Hydra asked only to get a confused affirmative answer back. "Not to pry or anything but did you intend to turn invisible?"

There was the sound of more typing as she sent to the group chat Hydra had made for all of them.

What are you talking about? I am not invisible.

"We can't see you."

really?

Adrien sent a picture to her of Hydra standing and talking to an empty spot of land. And after a few more conformations confused messages started coming throw about what to do and how she can turn back into her normal self.

Hydra and Kagami began talking her through what had happened and what she had felt. She explained that a bug crawled on her neck and scared her. And for a second she just really really wanted to not be here.

"Juleka breathe. Focus perhaps it is activated by your emotions." Kagami said as she attempted to lead her friend to calming down. Once she seemed to have calmed down. Kagami continued "Perhaps if you want to be back here you will be visible once more?" A few moments went by and Juleka appeared once again.

"Well at least you can turn it off. Now maybe we…" Hydra started to say but trailed off as as Kagami, Luka and Juleka were staring at suddenly transformed back into the horse themed hero. The silence was only broken by the faint sound of typing and then Marinette's text to speech device activating. "ADRIEN YOU"RE A SUPERHERO?" it said in a passable synthesized voice. And then the sound of Marinette face palming.

I have to say Adrien knight armor does look good on you.

I agree the silver of the armor is quite nice.

I do really like that costume. The hood is also nice really invokes a horse's head. Also..Focus we have to focus.

"Uhh Cavalry. Why would you transform in front of these civilians. I am disappointed in you."

Marinette, Adrien correct me if I am wrong but you have been doing this longer than I have I thought you needed to say certain words in order for the transformation to take place.

Usually.

That is the case yes.

So how was Adrien able to transform?

As that question was mulled over in their head Hydra turned just in time to see Luke transform back into the Cat themed hero.

Ugggggggh

"First Cavalry and now you…Catfall." Hydra said as he texted it to the heroes Phone. Juleka just stared at her brother with wide eyes before texting a wave of messages to him.

Well I guess the cat's out of the bag now.

I was going to say that.

I never get a chance to make cat puns.

Because they are Purrfect.

Scales have so many less pun opportunities.

At least you have snake jokes do you know how how hard it is to make a ladybug based pun in the middle of battle?

Yeah well with how are luck is I am sure in a few seconds there is just going to be another distraction.

And like clockwork the third member of the trio was standing there transformed into a snake based hero.
