Chapter 5

The three made their way back to the others. With most of the immediate concerns they could take stock of Luka and Marinette's Costumes. Standing up they could see that the costume for Catfall was clearly inspired by Cat Noirs but had pinpricks of silver throughout the bodysuit giving the illusion of stars, and his hair became black with streaks of silver and white. A hood of silver and white, black ears on it.

Constrictor was only slightly more ornate than ladybug's with black gloves and boots that slowly gave way to lighter shades of green with cyan accents. As Hydra was getting ready to head back to the site of the attack. They made sure to touch base with the rest of the group.

"Juleka stay here. As the most vulnerable right we need to keep you safe if you hear or see anything suspicious. Go invisible better to be safe than sorry. And while invisible find a hiding spot we don't know if BalanceMaster has some way of detecting you while invisible. Constrictor, Catfall, Cavalry if you sense or find out anything keep us in the loop. Since the others managed to transform Kagami I suggest you take over for Catfall and man the try and get into touch with people in the city see if they know anything? That said good luck."

Wasting no more time Hydra set off to go investigate the town of the attack. After a very short trip thanks to Reoccurrence. Hydra landed on the main street of the town. Even calling it a town was a being generous it was mostly just homes, shops, restaurants to support the workers and tourists of the main draw. The palatial resort which boosted about world class accommodations, luxurious dining and currently a 25-meter-wide hole I the roof.

And was currently hosting a global symposium of leasing luxury fashion designers. Which a certain Gabriel Agreste was in attendance.

OH NO.

Hydra rushed into the hotel to hear only eerie quiet. The place was deserted. Without the rubble and the expensive bags and clothing thrown aside it would look like the hotel was not open. They quickly searched the main floor of the hotel calling out if anyone was in there or needed assistance.

And found nothing. Even the back hallways were devoid of people. They started running up and checking each room and suite banging on doors. Shouting that they were a hero but there was no response. Not even on the hotel room he was supposed to be staying at.

DAD. Where are you? Come on you got to be safe.

Your dad is a smart man I am sure he got to safety maybe try having Adrien text him when we get back?

We will find him.

Luka and Marinette let Adrien slump into the back of their mind sensing that he wished to be left as alone as they could be right now. Luka took over and did a halfhearted search of the rest of the small town and saw it was as abandoned as the resort.

They were heading back when a text from Cavalry came through.

Hydra took off with a sprint. The three so in sync they didn't actually know who was in control.

We have to go faster even at a full sprint that is still closer to 2 minutes. A lot can happen in 2 minutes .

We could go faster with reoccurrence but we need to be going slow enough to dodge out of the way of trees. A collision won't really hurt but it will eat time.

If the trees weren't in the way we could get in like maybe 30 seconds.

But unfortunately they are.

Adrien thought moments before he and the rest of the trio ran head first into a tree at a sizable fraction of motorway speed. With just enough time to brace for impact. Three winced knowing it was about to hurt. Except they felt no pain as they went though the tree as if it was just an illusion.

Maybe they aren't?

Hydra spared just a second to touch another tree and find it solid and made of wood.

I wonder, is it us?

Marinette took control over the body and with a bit of effort found her hand slipping into and out of the wood.

Oh that is cool.

Yes it is. Seems to be triggered by desire to get somewhere or through something.

No more words needed to be shared as they three sprinted at their full gait and used reoccurrence to make it in record time.

They managed to make it back in just under 28 seconds. They arrived to see the trio of their past selves engaged in battle with the villain. The battle was going poorly a few trees had been blown asunder by the villain. And Juleka was no were to be seen which based on the calmness that Cavalry, Catfall and Constrictor fought it seemed to be a function of her powers and not a villainous act.

The battle raged on in uncharacteristic silence. Even BalanceMaster seemed to have few quips for the heroes. As he pressed the advantage. Cavalry was fighting valiantly as the one who had the least to adjust to. Catfall seemed hampered by the loss of hearing and his unfamiliarity with being a mainline combatant. Constrictor was faring the worst but quickly learning to rely on her sense of hearing to land blows and dodge out of the way of blasts.

A lucky shot from Hydra's bow. Managed to give the heroes some much needed information. An unlucky misstep had Cavalry be hit with another beam and throw backwards with his boots changing color to match his mask along with matching symbol. He did not have time to figure out what was lost though as he picked himself up. As the arrow flew and struck the coin that had materialized in BalanceMaster's hand as soon as Cavalry was hit. The coin was vaporized in that instant and Cavalary's boots returned to normal.

So the coins store what was taken?

Seems like it. Did you see that the sentimonster was approaching after the coin was made. Maybe that is were he is storing everything that he took?

So break the box and we get what was taken and our friends back?
 Almost in answer to that question a double strike of a Horseshoe and a Lyre slammed into the side of the box and a few dozen coins spilled on the ground.

Smart using. Using Cavalry's arm as a guide so she knew where to throw.

BalanceMaster unleashed a large blast in response and when the smoke cleared, he had vanished. Leaving behind the spilled treasure.
