John had told her it was never polite to eavesdrop on certain…organisations.

For the most part EOS listened to him, but that didn't stop her keeping her ears open for particular key words.

A lot of those words had become far more important to her how that half of her family was scattered to the globe. No longer being part of International Rescue didn't mean no longer being a Tracy, and she had promised various members of the family to always take care of certain other members of the family, a responsibility she took very seriously.

With the departure of three of her 'uncles' – not that she'd ever call Scott that (to his face) – and with Kayo now working with Penny and spending more and more time with the GDF since Jeff Tracy – he – had curtailed her role with iR, keeping track of everyone had become more interesting.

Which was why when a certain key word came up alongside several other terms boding ill, she alerted John immediately and without a trace of remorse over her eavesdropping.

John was watching a potential callout. It was monsoon season, and the usual areas were suffering greatly with unprecedented rainfall. She enjoyed watching how his mind worked. Correction – she enjoyed *feeling* how his mind worked.

Since the day he had all but exiled three of his boys and tried to prevent John from returning to Five, EOS had been preparing safety measures for both herself and John. By extension those measures included Virgil, for while she didn't trust the man as much as John would like her to, she still loved him. He was the kindest, gentlest man she had ever encountered, and she had set whole processors aside to study him in order to improve herself.

She had had parameters set for her safety measures. Scott and John had both spoken to her about not going after him unless there were moves against Alan and she had begrudgingly agreed.

She kept a very close watch over Alan in the hope.

John had saved her again, the two of them now would never be separated, and in turn she would save both him and everyone important to him.

With that in mind EOS connected.

'John, there has been an incident.'

John looked up into her camera even though he didn't need to. Some habits were hard to break.

'What kind of incident.'

'There has been a multiple shooting of Spectrum officers…'

'EOS…'

'…one of whom is Scott.'

'Tell me.'

'The Commander has received multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and is currently in surgery on Cloudbase.'

Less than five minutes later Thunderbird Five was moving and John was prepping for the HALO jump of a lifetime.
