KatiaSunna's Notes: 11-12 years ago, I started 7 Stars and wrote over 100 chapters but the story itself sucked, I admit. So I'll be rewriting and making it better. If you have followed me since I joined , you are familiar with my oldest stories so I'm bringing them back but 100 times better.
Chapter 1: The Bright Star Awakens
Far off in the darkness, two people were talking, planning, discussing what to do about a possible takeover.
"We already sent three of our weakest monsters and they came back with everything we needed to know," a female voice was heard.
"I know that, but they never did find that crystal we are searching for. In order to take over the planet, we need that crystal." The male voice told the female.
"I'll send another one down to look for someone with the most pure energy. Hopefully there will be good results."
Somewhere in the biggest city of Tokyo, a voice was heard in the bedroom of Kiyoko Hinode. She had dropped her pencil while sitting there frozen as the voice was echoing inside the room… no.. in her head, and it was mostly murmurs.
'What are they trying to say?' Kiyoko wondered. Was she lost in her thoughts or did her brothers say anything while she had her nose in her homework? She shook her head and the thought and put her homework away and gave a slight frown. Hearing those murmurs started not long ago. Bit by bit, they started to become clear to her but still don't understand what the voice was trying to say.
A knock came on her door, breaking her away from her worries and she looked towards a young man in his early 20s looking at her.
"Brother," she said.
"Kiyoko, I just spoken with Father," her brother, Yuji, started.
"What did he want with you?" She asked him with a hint of worry. Is her brother going away for awhile or is there something wrong with her. Kiyoko knew she was adopted by the Hinode family when she was a baby. Even though her parents work long hours with her dad as the CEO of a huge company and her mom as a Jewelry designer, they don't spend time with their children and Kiyoko feels left out most of the time. It's most likely she chose to be alone. She couldn't look at them square in the eyes. Only her older brother who is the heir to their father's company is close to her so she hardly speaks with her other brothers.
As the current and only daughter, she does everything to stay out of trouble so she is not on her parents' radar: top 10 in her classes, no boyfriend, no partying, unless it's a formal with her family. She has already planned to become an actress and fashion designer to support herself even though she would have no inheritance rights despite being the only one out of her 5 siblings adopted into the family. She is totally fine with that.
"Father's having me manage the Western branch in Karakura Town," he said, "the previous head manager has retired and I'll be taking his place before coming back here to take over for Father."
"I see," Kiyoko said sadly. Of course their father is sending the only brother and best friend in the family away, leaving her all alone.
"I did get his permission to bring you along with me so we'll get to work on your transfer papers."
This brightens up her mood by tenfold. She gets to move with her brother and go to a new school with new friends.
"We will pack what you need over the weekend, we will move to Karakura Town next week when Summer Break is over."
"Alright" Kiyoko smiled and her brother left the room to herself. The voice then came back but this time, she can hear what it's saying.
"Wake up, You need to wake up" the voice echoed. This left the young girl confused. Wake up? What does that even mean? The voice sounded like a woman's but no one she knows or recognize. She violently shook her head and got ready for bed. She laid her head on her pillow, turned off the light and fell into a deep sleep.
"Wake up," the voice said as she slept.
In her dream she can see various images and visions she never seen before in her life. Through her own point of view, she was surrounded by several young ladies showering her with gifts and accompanying her everywhere, meeting with a handsome prince, to the point where she lost her life. When those visions disappeared she looked like she was floating above the city. Just then a woman who looked almost identical to her approach her from behind..
"You need to wake up" she said.
Kiyoko turned to face her, immediately recognizing her from a vision she had in her childhood.
"It's you….." Kiyoko whispered.
"I am you in your past. Those visions you saw are through your previously lifetime during the Silver Millennium. The darkness has reawakened once more and I need YOU to fight and find the Sailor Guardians of the Sun and Moon," her past life self spoken, "I need you to awaken as a Sailor Guardian and fight."
"How would I know?" Kiyoko asked her.
"Soon" the Past self version replied and disappeared.
Kiyoko woke up fast from her sleep, out of breath. Was that real? Or was it all just a dream. She looked at the time which is 4 AM which is still early to get up. Next thing she saw which is something she didn't expect to see on her nightstand was a brooch she never seen before. Confused, she picked it up.
"That dream must have been real."
Later on that afternoon, she went for a walk in the garden of her family estate. She stared at the brooch that was left on the nightstand for her. Her brothers knew nothing about it which left her a bit more confused.
Is something going to happen while she is in Karakura Town? Or was something happening in her own when she's about to move away? She starts debating whether or not she needs to stay or go even though she hardly knows what's going on. She needs to know.
"I heard on the news about several incidents in Karakura Town" One of her brothers Ryu said to her other brother, Sora.
"Oh yeah, that's been on the news lately and Father is already sending Yuji there to help with the Western Branch," Sora said.
"I just hope he stays out of danger."
Kiyoko felt both relieved and a bit hurt. Since she is also going to Karakura Town, it's like they don't care for her at all but now she knows that she is needed there to help these people and protect her brother who she holds most dear. She quickly sent a text to her brother Yuji.
'I'll be back in time for dinner, going out for a few errands. Don't worry about me.' She typed out the text to send him. She didn't tell him the truth about where she was actually going and headed to the bus station so she can take a bus to Karakura Town. It's time to investigate.
~~~ In Karakura Town~~~
The soccer team of Karakura High was playing against their opposing team in the last summer game before school starts back up again. (A/N: I don't know if this actually is what they do in Japan, but please bare with me.) Ichigo Kurasaki and Renji Abarai were both playing forward about to score another goal. Other students who are in their class were in the bleachers watching. A majority of them were cheering as loud as they could while a few of them just didn't seem to care but watched anyways. The head school reporter, Shuhei Hisagi, was writing out notes and using his voice recorder to detail everything that's going on during the game.
"Are you ready, Renji?" Ichigo asked his friend and teammate who was waiting for the soccer ball hoping to score this one last goal.
"You bet," Renji responded with confidence. Ichigo went ahead and kicked the ball towards him so Renji can score the winning goal but that didn't happen…..
"What's going on?"Someone asked.
A sudden roar ruptured through the entire stadium. Students and adults started to panic.
A monster that resembles a tiger stands on the field with yellow piercing eyes. Eyes so piercing, it could stare directly into your soul.
"What is that thing?" Ichigo asked almost unable to move.
The large monster turned to look around hoping to seek whatever it's seeking for. But nothing can be sought at the moment. Some of the students in the audience have quickly ran off or hid behind some of the bleachers. Some have stayed just put either scared or waiting to see what happens next. Shuhei jotted down some new notes. This could be big news indeed.
Kiyoko finally arrived at the scene and watched from behind a tree. She ponders over her brooch and thought, was this really her destiny to come to Karakura Town not just to be with her brother but to fight? Even though she hardly knows these people, she needs to help them no matter what.
What words to transform? She thought over this question for a good few seconds and then something clicked in her heart, mind, and soul. She gives a nod to herself and glances around to make sure no one is looking. She calls out the phrase.
"Sun Crystal, Make UP!"
Kiyoko was stunned at her new outfit. This will help her defend the people of Karakura Town right? She didn't like the idea of a short skirt which makes her legs a bit more revealing. She was dressed in a white leotard with a yellow skirt and sailor color, choker, white gloves, an orange front bow, and long white back bow which almost reached the floor. Her hair had grown twice as long and fuller with two side ponytails. She even felt a v-shaped tiara on her forehead which should help conceal her identity.
"I guess this is what my past self was talking about but even so, I still have no memories of my past," she said to herself. She looked at the monster. She has to come up with a plan right now. Since she just awaken her powers, who know what chances she has against a monster for the first time in her life. She'll have to give what she got. What can she use as a weapon? She touched her forehead and the tiara suddenly flash and removed itself and circled around her hand like some boomerang. She was a bit stunned then calmed down to give a nod to herself. That's it.
She hopped onto the top of the fence and looked at the monster in front of her and threw the tiara at it at a high speed.
The monster roared as a few cuts were made on its body by the tiara and the tiara flew back towards Kiyoko who graciously caught it and placed the tiara back on her forehead. People started talking wondering who she is.
"A girl?" Renji asked, a bit shocked but also at ease. This girl has come to save them.
The monster was taken aback by the sudden appearance of this girl who dares to challenge it. It took a few steps back, still anxiously waiting to make a move again.
"Protected by the Sun, the star of light-guardian of Harmony, I'm Sailor Sun." She introduced herself and hopped down onto the field, "Whatever your purpose is, you are not welcome here!"
The monster roared out and charged at her. She quickly jumped away.'
'Alright, I may be at a disadvantage here. I know so little about this thing,' she thought to herself. She needs to make a move, 'so with this new identity as a sailor guardian, I should have power right. Let's see what I got.'
Sun held up her hand and a burst of light came out and pushed the monster back.
'That's my power? I thought I would have fire based or something cooler like that. I guess light would have to do,' she thought looking at her hand a bit disappointed but quickly shrugged it off. The light from her hand appeared again and formed a rapier like sword. She now has a weapon. Now this is getting somewhere. She raised her sword up waiting to strike.
The monster recovered from the light attack, enraged that it's being beaten, and soon raced towards the girl to attack her. At that right moment, she swung her sword down defeating the monster once and for all. What became left of it was a gemstone with stripes on it. She picked it up carefully to examine it.
"Sardonyx?" She recognized the gemstone right away. Since there is no energy in the crystal and is just a plain gemstone, she held onto it and turned to leave.
"Wait," Shuhei called out to her. Sun turned to face him as several other students and soccer players surrounded her to bomb her with lots of questions. She quickly flashed out of there and saluted to those present for the game.
"I'm sorry that I got here so late but let me make this promise to you," she said looking down at them when she landed on top of the fence, "No matter who wants to harm you, I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. You'll see me again."
She then leaves them and headed off towards home. Shuhei was excited and got to write the best article yet. Some students who filmed the entire thing, gave him the recordings to post on his channel which he created for the school which got so many views.
A week later, summer has ended and the students of Karakura High are back in school for the next semester.
"Hi Ichigo, Good Morning" Orihime Inoue has greeted the orange haired teen with a cheerful voice.
"Oh, morning Orihime" Ichigo responded but his mind was still on last week's events at the final soccer game. The game had to end in a draw for the time.
Shuhei released the article on the events which got so much attention from other students. It has become the huge talk of the school. Ichigo got to read the article. He was grateful for the Sailor Guardian for her heroic appearance.
He could hear a few groups of students talking about the situation. Could this Sailor Guardian have come to start fighting and why didn't she take care of the other ones that appeared within the past several weeks?
Soon their homeroom teacher Misato Ochi came into the class with her folder and a good natured grin on her face, ready to begin the semester.
"Take your seats students!" she said and everyone went to their seats. She opened the folder to look at the roster list and see that everyone is present, "I see everyone is here. Shuren and Kokuto are usually tardy; let's not worry about that, shall we?"
She got out her agenda for the day and looked up the students who had their notebooks and first textbook out, and made an announcement.
"Before we start, we have a new transfer student from the big city," she said, "you can come in now."
The new student, Kiyoko Hinode, steps into the classroom dressed neatly in their uniform with her hair combed straight. She gave a pleasant smile to her new piers as she stood next to Miss Ochi.
"Please welcome our new student, please introduce yourself," the teacher motioned her.
"Good morning everyone. My name is Kiyoko Hinode, I look forward to being with you all," Kiyoko gave a small and polite bow as she introduced herself and faced them with a sweet smile on her face.
That concludes chapter 1! I have already began plans for the next but still working on the plot notes which will take time. However, I'm going to start working longer hours at my workplace cause I'm 28 and still living with my dad. I do work full time, and I would like to move out as soon as possible. I'm going to start working an extra shift per week so I can see how much I'll be making per week so I can look into apartments and see about moving up in the company so I can live a better lifestyle.
Like I stated, this is a REWRITE AND REBOOT of the previous story. I was in high school and the first version was… rushed through and crappy. I hope to write my stories here a lot better so….
Please review.
