Welcome one and all to a new project of mine, I'm a major history buff so this story was really easy to write. Now there will be some discrepancies in history and the timeline but don't worry I have a plan.
Now enjoy the story.
27th of September 1944- Belgium, Antwerp
After action report:
At 10:49 am in the Municipality of Antwerp, a gate of roughly 150 feet high and 25 feet in width appeared on the main street of Meir.
10:57: After 8 minutes the gate opened, at this point, the city had been retaken so civilians surrounded the Gate staring at it in awe and confusion. Out of the opened gate poured multiple life forms resembling those from fairy tales including but not limited to - Goblins, Orcs, centaurs and humans. These humans rode both Dragons and normal horses. They acted as a united force under a singular purple banner.
Out of 150 civilians which were at ground zero, 60 were killed by the marauding aliens. It was at this point that the Rijkswacht responded. 40 officers carrying pistols and carbines engaged however they were slowly pushed back to the western Schelde. This was till the 1st company of the Independent Belgian Brigade supported by elements from the 11th British armoured division - led by Major Jeff de Smet the third. This counterattack was entirely successful, it was found during the counterattack that the enemy did not use modern weaponry using weapons more akin to mediaeval weaponry.
As the enemy was pushed back, they began to retreat, falling back to the open portal/Gate with almost 80% casualties. Out of the 500 that exited the gate, 385 were killed and 15 wounded.
End of after-action report.
28th of September 1944
The second world war continued to rage; the allies having liberated most of western Europe from the yolk of evil Nazi occupiers. There were many allied armies which led the charge, forcing the enemy back to their country of origin. One notably was the 7th combined army led by the gallant General George S. Patton, however, there was another army group led by a commander of a much younger age yet just as fierce rival to Patton. This was the 9th allied army group, led by the Young, bold and intelligent General Nolan Uzumaki, 'Naruto' to his friends and close colleagues.
It was this man whose personal C-47 Dakota escorted by two P-47s landed at Antwerp international airport, the large propeller plane touched down on the newly refurbished runway, and the escorts pulled away moving toward a different section of the airport while the C-47 turned toward the small motorcade which awaited its passenger. A ramp was pushed up to the door as it was opened.
In the doorway stood a tall youthful man whose clothes were similar to that of a tanker's uniform, only the usual helmet was replaced with that of an officer's cap. easily 6'4 in height. His spiky hair was neatly trimmed down so that it folded down on his head, his face was covered by a full golden beard which simply glowed in the sunlight. His electric blue eyes darted from side to side from beneath his cap.
Quickly marching down the ramp he made his way to the convoy and awaiting jeep.
"Sir," the guard at the bottom of the ramp saluted, then reached toward the jeep to open the door for the man.
"General Eisenhower wishes to see you as soon as possible, he has your next briefing." the Corporal said as Nolan sat down, and the man closed the door behind him then getting into the driver's seat. Nolan nodded, signalling the convoy to roll out with a wave of his hand.
"Let's see what the old man called me away for."
30 minutes later
After a quick drive, the convoy finally arrived at the temporary headquarters of the western allies, it was a large gothic building Naruto knew to be the Grote Markt. The high command of the allied forces always loved to flaunt their importance.
The building was a hive of activity, civilians and soldiers alike went in and out of the building while guards were posted at every corner including light vehicles like the M8 greyhound. The convoy pulled up directly to the front of the Grote Markt, Nolan leapt out of the Jeep quickly moving up the stairs before his bodyguards could even leave the vehicles. He pushed aside the large doors and began walking toward the stairs knowing exactly where Eisenhower would be.
After five minutes of searching, Noland found the man who he was looking for, the supreme commander of the allied forces sitting behind a desk in one of the main offices on the top floor, the older man looked up as the Younger came toward him, standing in front of his desk and saluting before taking a seat.
"Eisenhower how are you doing my friend, you called me just as we were about to try to push to the rhine."
Eisenhower said nothing simply signalling to the report which sat on his desk, allowing the blonde general to take up the manila folder. They both sat in silence as Nolan read through the folder, flipping through the folder and reading some pages more than once his eyes wide.
"You gotta be shitting me, sir? Orcs, goblins, trolls and a magical gate appear within a city's centre. How am I supposed to believe any of this?"
Eisenhower stood, turning and facing his window before he spoke, "Nolan, you know me. To me at first, this was all horseshit, however, there is evidence. Autopsies, pictures everything even goddamn written testimonies,"
The man took a pause from his rant to remove a cigar from his breast pocket, he offered one to Nolan, however, the man shook his head too in shock to accept anything at the moment. Lighting it up and taking a deep drag Eisenhower began to speak again.
"Listen to me, Nolan. You're the only man I can trust to get this done without any problems, Patton is too hot-headed for a job like this, and the higher-ups want a combined allied force to go through."
He paused sitting back down in front of the still shocked general. "You're the only one I know that will allow all the allied troops to shine. Plus who knows you might become governor-general of any territory taken and finally settle down eh Naruto?"
At his nickname being called he looked up at his older friend, the man's eyes held confidence but also a bit of slight fear knowing that if this gamble failed there would be hell to pay.
Nolan stood and saluted, a small smile breaking through his once confused expression.
"So, who am I taking through, and what will I need?"
Eisenhower took another drag from his cigar, throwing down another lighter folder, Nolan opened it and once again his jaw hit the floor.
"You're giving me an entire battle group to take through. 1 million plus men within a span of a month. But it makes sense to send a force of 36,000 who can take and hold any territory till reinforcements arrive."
Eisenhower nodded at Nolan's breakdown of the situation, taking another drag of his cigar he puffed out a ring of smoke as he was about to speak a loud barrage of knocking interrupted the two.
A Lance corporal burst into the room, his eyes were wide and frantic.
"What is it, this meeting is confidential."
The corporal took a deep breath before speaking. "Sirs the gate has opened again."
Antwerp- ground zero
The gate had reopened exactly in the same spot it had a couple of days beforehand, the fantasy creatures that slipped through it had been expecting an easy mission.
They had been told the humans on the other side were easy prey, weak and untested.
How wrong they were
As they exited the gate the vanguard was met with complete silence.
Not a civilian insight, then as they began to move up the large street, they noticed something on the ground. One of the larger Orcs put its foot down on the strange lump.
KAKRAMM
the explosion was deafening, orcs, goblins and otherworld humans held their ears in sheer agony. The explosion ruptured the eardrums of those farther away whilst simply immolating those that were within shorter distances.
It was then the carnage began.
The cracks and pops of rifle fire began to fill the road, drowning out the cacophony of pain-filled cries. Then the machine guns began to open fire; M2 browning, firing the .50 calibre rounds through multiple otherworlders.
Leading the charge from the front was Major Jeff De Smet himself. The man fired off his SMLE rifle punching through the chest of a goblin and into the abdomen of an otherworlder dropping both, the man then clambered onto one of the nearby M2 stations.
The gunner of the said station was slumped over the top of the gun, the man having been cut down by a rain of arrows. The Major pushed the body off of the gun letting out a small Prayer for the dead man as he did so. Taking over the gun he began to fire, the relentless chug of his weapon acting as a grim instrument.
Under the sheer strain of fire, the otherworlders began to retreat. Dragging as many of their dead as possible they began to flee through the portal, many of them not even making it through properly before being gunned down.
Major Jeff De Smet began to cheer and jeer his enemies, still eagerly firing the heavy machine gun even as the barrel began to glow red hot, practically steaming, only leaving the spade grips when the gate finally closed and the otherworlders either dead or gone. The Major looked over his men; only a handful had been killed, and the defence had been a complete success.
His head snapped up to the end of the street as the loud growls of jeep engines were heard, this and the heavy clacks of steel tank tread hitting the concrete. Jumping down from his station he squinted slightly as the armoured vehicles came into view.
The first three vehicles were the long-barrelled heavy Sherman tanks he remembered seeing engaging and overpowering the German panzer 4s. Behind these were three jeeps came a handful of kangaroo troop carriers each filled to the brim with soldiers. Jeff sighed in relief, finally relaxing as the soldiers within the troop carriers began to take over clean-up duty jumping from the kangaroo carriers and supporting their Belgian comrades.
"Major, a quick word please." A voice called out, turning quickly he was met with two high-ranking American officers surrounded by a multitude of bodyguards and soldiers.
He easily recognized both, the blonde one he remembered leading his columns into the city and aiding him in the battle across the rivers into the main city centre, and the much shorter and older man he recognised as Eisenhower.
The Supreme allied commander on the western front.
Approaching them he quickly came to a halt and saluted them.
Eisenhower spoke first. "We heard about the attack; this man here next to me will be leading an expedition into the Gate whenever it opens next. I take it you will be going with him, Major?"
"Yes sir. I wouldn't miss it for the world, I'll gather up my divisions when the clean-up is completed," he answered getting a nod from the older man.
Checking his watch Eisenhower let out a quiet sigh. "I'm needed back at the base I've been gone too long. Nolan inform the Major of the plan and prepare yourselves to move out as soon as possible." He saluted Nolan receiving one in return and then returning to the jeep.
Nolan turned to the Major raising his hand to shake the other man. "I'm lieutenant-General Nolan Uzumaki but you can call me Naruto, I'll be in charge of our little trip through the void." he grinned slightly as he shook the Belgian man's hand getting a grin in return from his junior officer.
"Let us begin preparations then."
3 weeks later
The gate had taken quite a while to reopen, this however was an advantage given to the allied forces as they had begun drawing together as many soldiers from multiple regiments and battlefronts as they could. Finally putting together 36,000 infantry with a mix of tanks and armoured fighting vehicles all added up to over 10,000. These were all arrayed in formation prepared for movement small sections would move through the portal one at a time to ensure that the logistics and camps could be set up correctly. The army was truly an international force, with regiments from the allied nations such as the recently freed French, Belgian and Dutch troops. These were combined with more minor elements of Norwegian and Polish units.
However, the bulk of the army were US and UK commonwealth forces these were the weight of the army providing most of the Artillery and tanks.
And then the Gate reappeared.
Even though the massive force had been prepared for it, the preparations to move out had been done in a mad dash. Tank crews jumped into their vehicles and sleeping soldiers were awoken by the heavy purring of engines. At the front of the column sat the leader of the combined force. Nolan Uzumaki himself, positioned within his command tank an up-armoured M26 Pershing surrounded by multiple Sherman and Churchill tanks. Nolan had been prepared for the opening of the gate since he had arrived.
The first vehicles to pass through the gate were British Churchills their slow heavily armoured bodies ensuring that if there was any resistance on the other side they would be quickly cleared away, next through were the easy 8 Shermans back up for just extra fire support. Then the great general himself went through his Pershing rolling through the gates alongside the other smaller tanks.
Within the gate, itself was a long star-filled corridor each star shined brighter than the last almost blinding the tank and infantry to their beauty, however, it was the light at the end of the tunnel which drew all attention and finally realised that this was it. This would be their fortune.
At the other end of the star-lit corridor sat a second gate, the enormous steel doors wide open and large silhouettes of a town nearby made themselves known. Opening his hatch Nolan looked toward the town Squinting his eyes lightly he saw something that made him grin.
The flag of the allied forces, a white star on a blue background. It seemed that Major De Smet had been successful in his mission.
Yes. The major had gone through a couple of days earlier when another gate had opened up for a limited time during the night, the madlad had taken only 400 soldiers in with him. They'd lost contact with the Belgian frontier troops and Nolan had thought all had been lost and the Major had been killed however it seemed the man was more resourceful than he had thought.
The tanks in front of the Lieutenant-General formed two columns as they rolled forwards continuing to pile out of the gate, his tank following them and behind him, the infantry carriers and trucks spilt out as well. Making good time toward the town which had been claimed for his army.
As he rolled up he saw a number of the Belgian troops helping around the town as well as setting up areas of fortification. the people within the village looked almost human, however, it was the small things which seemed to show them as something different. It was uncanny; they walked with a sort of untrained grace, pale skin and blonde hair.
"The nazis would've creamed themselves seeing these people." Naruto thought to himself, knowing full well that if those bastards had come through the gate they would've been all over these people who were now gawking at his vehicles.
His tanks finally reached the town's cobbled main road which led toward the town's main square, for this, his tanks formed a single long line with his Pershing being the second in line. People gathered on either side of the road, gawking and staring at the armoured behemoths which seemed to move with no animal pulling them, however, they seemed to be put at ease when they saw the star etched onto the sides of the vehicles.
Narutos Pershing rolled into the town square, the commander's hatch open and his head sticking out the top, looking out he saw the Major exit what seemed to be the administration building in front of the armoured column.
Naruto signalled to his second in command getting the man to come over. "Colonel Jackson, get the men sorted around the town and get camps going. I want a permanent Garrison and logistics post around the Gate, nothing without clearances gets close." the man nodded and moved off shouting orders to the soldiers that came in behind.
Naruto turned back to Major de Smet, jumping from his tank and shaking the man's hand, following him back into the large grey building. The Major spoke as they walked introducing him to the different people within the building till they came to a large room with a map spread across it.
"Good to see you Major, thought you'd been killed when we lost contact with the advance party. I'm glad that you already managed to get us a base of operations within the area."He said to the man as he looked over the map.
Jeff's face a grim smile stretched itself across his face. Sighing he finally answered, "We lost a couple of men taking the town, this was originally a military camp taken especially for the gate. These people aren't too happy with the military power here."
Naruto looked at him, curiosity was evident. "What do you mean?"
"The apparent ruling power in this land is Sol-Augustus Empire, they are the ones that campaigned in the Capital. They enslaved these fine people and were using them to open and close the gates."
"Hmm, I take it these Sol-Augustans are the enemy then? And what of these people they're not human are they?"
"No. They are what they call High elves." He paused as Naruto looked at him weirdly, the man shrugged, "It's literally what they call themselves apparently there are dark elves too but that's not the point. These people don't speak our language, but I've learned enough to just about communicate with them, they are willing to work with us as long as we protect them."
Naruto nodded, silently staring at the map. He noted the different colours splashed across the map and foreign words which accompanied them, an almost imperceptible knock sounded in the room drawing the attention of both men.
"Ela Mesa!" (Come in) The Belgian called to the door.
Apparently, this was the correct phrase as after a couple of seconds the door was opened. Behind the door came the most beautiful woman Naruto had seen in a long time. She had long blonde hair which was combed to the left, the right side of her head had been cut low in an undercut, and her eyes were a dark forest green.
The dress she wore seemed to hug her curves yet still cover her modesty, being low-cut and daring to show off some cleavage. However, there was an ugly red brand on her left arm, a red curling mark ran around her neck it was ugly and red-raw marring her perfect features.
Anger flooded into Naruto's system at the wounds this woman had taken.
"Tuka the mporo nha canoe gia essays?" (What can I do for you) the Major said, this time the words seemed to stumble out of his mouth. The man's inexperience with the language finally showed,
"eida ta thoracismena thiria nha stamatios edo kai anarotithika the synebene." She responded her fluency in the language put the Major's own to shame, her light voice seemingly carried by the winds themselves to his ears.
The major nodded just about understanding her words, he turned to Naruto. "She said she saw the tanks rolling through and got curious." he turned back to the woman and pointed at Naruto.
"its einai aux egetis mia to onoma the einai Nolan, einai enas ischyros polemistis stou edafi apo opou katagetai"(this is my leader, his name is Nolan. He is a mighty warrior int he lands where he is from) The woman awed looking up at the tall General.
When Nolan stood, he was easily a head or two taller than the elf woman, as such, she had to crane her neck to look up at him, he held out a hand and she took it her velvety soft hands resting softly in Narutos own battle-scarred ones.
"Hallo kyrie Nolan einai oraio nha sas synantiso to onoma mia eiinai Tuka."(Hallo sir Nolan, it is nice to finally meet you. My name is Tuka) she said her voice soft and lovely.
Their moment however was broken up as the woman gasped seeming to remember something, quickly pulling her hand away from Nolan's own albeit with some reluctance. She approached the map and began quickly and frantically pointing to a single spot on the map.
"EDO, EDO EINAI!" (here, here it is) she shouted, her voice taking on a slightly higher pitch as she quickly wrote on the map.
Nolan looked at jeff who shrugged at the woman's frantic shouting and jabbing, as if detecting their confusion, she huffed.
"Edo einai to stratopedo, to stratopedo the Augustan. Piran then adelfi mia kai alse anthropous edo parakalo bohtheste these,"(here is the camp, the Augustan camp. they took my sister and other people here. Please help them.") her eyes glittered with tears.
Nolan turned to the major, his eyes serious and cold. "Translate that. Now"
The Major gulped and processed the thought of what she had said, and the realisation slowly started to set in.
"Eisai secure?" he asked his tone firm.
All she did was nod.
Turning back to Nolan Jeff told him what Tuka had said explaining about the camp and its probable location as well as what was most likely going on there. By the end of the explanation, the General was livid.
"Send off a scout with one of the elves to verify and secure the location. Afterwards, tell Colonel Jackson that I'm taking 300 men with me and a couple of trucks we're going to burn that outpost to the ground." Nolan's voice did not waiver nor buckle even as Jeff looked at him in shock and surprise.
"Sir, are you sure that's a good idea? I understand your feelings on this, but if you get hurt, that jeopardises the entire operation." His concern was evident however unnecessary.
"My friend I have seen my fair share of frontline combat, not to mention my fathers a veteran of the great war. But I understand and will keep safe don't you worry." he finished just about reassuring the Major.
The man nodded understanding his commander's orders despite his own apprehension about them, he moved over to the door opening it and showing Tuka out, the woman was leaving to prepare her people to help her newfound allies, and the Major was doing the same knowing that the sooner he got a scout out the sooner they would be able to help those people they'd taken.
Naruto turned from the map and faced the window, the sun had begun to set, lighting the entire town and hillside in bright purples and oranges; he watched as even in the dying light people were still mingling. His soldiers and the elves were having fun and trying their best to communicate while the elves were doing the same, albeit more reserved than their human friends.
Naruto smiled at that small grin, however, his grin faded as he remembered the terrible task he had to do. Turning quickly, he exited the room and moved down the hall toward where some of his stuff had been dropped off, opening the room he found a large bed and a dresser with a desk at the corner and a large window overlooking the town itself. In the corner of his room were his chests and his combat uniform.
Opening the largest chest he found the uniform in pristine condition alongside some webbing, he grimly started to put on the uniform, prepared for what was to come.
50 minutes later
The scout had returned after half an hour and verified the location, this was all the command team needed to launch the mission, over 300 men, two Churchill tanks and several trucks moved out, these tanks were chosen specifically due to their ability to climb steep cliffs. The Twin tanks, Spitfire and Balalaika were to give some support in case anything went pair shaped however they would ensure nothing would go wrong. The small convoy moved at speed along a dirt road, sometimes cutting through areas of low-density forestry and killing the odd patrol they came across. After about half an hour of travel, they'd finally gotten close, the town that the Augustans used as a slave outpost and military base was on a large hill. The town itself was pretty small and unremarkable to the Veterans who'd seen an age of combat across all theatres, however, it had a medium-sized stone wall going around its circumference dotted with large watch towers most of which were manned.
Naruto and his men were held up in the forest, crouched down so the darkness of the new moon could blanket them, he'd strategically placed his men so they surrounded the key points of the town, the road into the town was also covered ensuring that as soon as it was possible the trucks could roll up and collect the freed civilians.
Naruto signalled to his comms man to come up, the said man slowly walked up to his commander the man had a large radio set on his back. Naruto reached over and took the phone, it dialled for a minute before someone picked up on the other side.
"This is command, initiate the assault. On my mark." there was a grumble of an answer through the radio and Naruto replaced it knowing his men would do as he did. Naruto turned and looked over his shoulder.
"Mortar teams 1 through 3 fire when ready. Fire illumination rounds." the sergeant responded with quick confirmation.
Wump, Wump, Wump!
The three mortars sounded off sending bright red lights into the sky
And then all hell broke loose.
Guard Watchtower
It had been a quiet night for the guards of tower 6, they'd been forced back from Linderdale but they weren't too fussed. The High elves while powerful combatants were in absolutely tiny numbers.
However, that meant nothing for the guards as they were to have their own share in the women they'd captured just as soon as their shifts were…
"What are those…?" one of the guards pointed at the three bright lights that had practically bathed the entire area in a red eerie glow.
BOOM
The Guard station to their left exploded in a cacophony of wood splinters and metal, the sheer force of the explosion forced the men onto their stomachs ears ringing. One of the guards puked, the sheer nauseating feeling of the shockwave and the sheer heat and shrapnel pushing him over the edge, the others were either unconscious or dead.
One of the less wounded guards stood, his eyes bloodshot and a small wound on his chest bled profusely, he looked around trying to spot what hit the now crumbling guard tower around them bells rung in alarm as soldiers scrambled to prepare themselves for some unseen enemy.
There was another flash of light.
BOOM
Another guard tower exploded, the man barely flinched, the bright red lights above them showed the forest and to his almost dead eyes he spotted men emerging from the shadows themselves. They were sprinting toward the low wall with weapons that looked like crossbows but with no bow held in their hands. The man looked at them in confusion about what were these weirdly dressed men doing.
Then he thought nothing as his station was engulfed in fire and shrapnel.
With the allied forces.
Spitfire and Balalaika had torn through all the Guard towers once the flares had been fired, their expert crews loading and firing within a couple of seconds. The 75mm gun fired the High explosive which practically shredded the stone and wood towers.
The men within stood no chance.
However, the targeting of the towers had given the others a chance to begin their mobilisation, however, they weren't given long. Naruto led his section of the assault forwards moving quickly toward the wall which separated them from the inside town. The wall in question was roughly 6' in height and made from thick stone and brick.
Naruto reached the wall first being given a demolition charge the commander strapped it to the wall and moved back a couple of feet, with a press of the trigger the wall disappeared in a bright spark of flame and smoke.
Naruto charged in first, his model 1897 trench gun sparked to life spitting hot lead at the first of a dozen Augustana charging his position. He slam-fired 3 rounds at close range shredding the minimal armour his enemies wore, behind him his second followed up with a BAR; the gun chattered away laying down covering fire for those that came after him and his commander in front. Behind the rest of the squad came in wielding Thompson submachine guns Garand rifles, lee Enfield's and Sten submachine guns.
The heavy rain of gunfire peppered the Augustan lines shredding through their large shields and reducing them to nought but mulch. Naruto continued to lead the way, moving around the buildings and toward the dungeons, he heard the explosions from the other side of the town as they continued to cut through their enemies, chalking it down to the other troops attacking the town as well.
They cut through a couple of alleyways lighting up any enemies that came close, the submachine guns really showed their worth in the tight areas working alongside the machine gun to lay utter waste upon the Augustans. Illumination rounds kept flying high above, the mortar teams switching between illumination and fragmentation rounds each providing an immense service.
Finally, Naruto's section arrived at the entrance to the dungeon. The guards who'd usually be guarding the place had already been killed in the initial assault leaving the prison unguarded. Naruto was the first in smashing straight through the twin wooden doors which separated it from the outside world.
The first thing that struck him was the smell.
Putrid.
Rotting.
flesh.
Quickly taking out a rag and placing it against his mouth and nose he forced himself not to gag. Looking around he spotted the still half-rotted bodies of those who had perished not so long ago, mixed in with them however were scores of elves and other fantastical species. Quickly smashing open one of the doors to the cells Naruto was met with a crying woman trying her best to crawl away from him.
He stepped back and called for the radio operator; the other man also heavily disturbed by the conditions had to be pushed into action. Naruto took the radio from his back and spoke into it immediately.
"This is Team 1, retrieval team bring the trucks up. Looks like we're going to need them after all." after a quick confirmation he hung up the radio, signalling for his men to take positions around the prison till reinforcements had arrived. Keeping only a handful of men with him he began to give out bread and water as well as having the team medic clean any light wounds.
After 5 minutes which felt closer to two hours, the trucks finally arrived, turning and having their troop bays face toward the prison. Half dozen medics and elves hopped out the back rushing into the now freed prison to provide whatever aid they could. Those who could walk were bundled into the first of the trucks, the elves that had arrived from Linderdale were there assuring the freed prisoners that they were safe.
These trucks quickly took off, ensuring that they could get as many out as possible before sunrise. As they were doing this fighting continued on the other side of the city, the commander of the second group and third groups were doing their jobs, providing as large of a distraction as possible. These men were holding off the bulk of the enemy forces, cutting through their lines like a scythe through wheat.
Balalaika and Spitfire had rolled up the main street offering any support the twin armoured vehicles could offer, blowing up buildings and obliterating any heavily armoured clumps of soldiers.
Naruto checked the time, they had been keeping to schedule so far, looking up he saw the last of the least wounded former prisoners entering one of the trucks. Those who couldn't be treated at the battle had already been stabilised and sent off their lives in the hands of the drivers and doctors within Linderdale. Quickly looking back into the hole, the place had almost been emptied, within half an hour the medics had worked quick bringing bodies and the sick to the forefront and loading them into trucks.
He signalled to one of the men, the man unclipped a bandolier of grenades from his chest quickly activating one he chucked them as deep as almost hitting the back walls of the small prison. The Grenades ticked down before finally going off with a dull thud.
The prison collapsed in on itself, its supports failing from the heavy explosion. Naruto grinned at that quickly reloading his shotgun, he took a flare gun from the pack of the radio operator and fired it up into the sky. The green flare ignited and sent a green glow across the sky and surrounding town.
Soon Gunfire from across the town began to slow down before petering out completely. "Get on the transports, we've done what we came to do," Naruto shouted to his men.
Most bundled into the back of the remaining trucks, while others climbed onto the sides and held onto rails, Balalaika took point. Turning on the spot and moving to the front of the smaller convoy while spitfire took the rear, they moved down the road, picking up any of their men they met finally grabbing the other team and the Mortar team at the central gate. The trucks and tanks sped off, moving as fast as possible.
After a couple of moments, the night slowly began to be burned away. Rays of sunlight flashed out and cut away at the blanket of the night. The convoy still hauled ass trying to get out of The God of war's range. Naruto reloaded the flare gun, sitting in the front of the truck gave him the perfect position to watch the sunrise. He waited until the sun had almost completely risen before he fired off another flair this one being a bright white flare.
Then it started.
Thunder began to roll; the heavy rolls of cannon fire began to echo across the plains and valleys. the heavy Self-propelled guns fired from a mind-boggling distance, their heavy explosives soaring like mighty birds of prey. Then they crashed into the town almost as if it were a rain of hellfire and brimstone.
The rain of death obliterated the town, removing it from existence. The sheer power of the strike shook the land to its core, animals ran and hid and those humans who still lived close hid for the God of war itself had spoken and none had seen it even strike.

Thank you for continuing to read my stories last month was pretty slow but I'm going to try to pick it back up this month. This month will also be the 1-year anniversary of me writing my first story Reyne of fire.
Thanks again for reading what I post, and I hope
