Welcome back to my story. Believe it or not, I haven't written Percy Jackson fan fiction since March 2021. I am so excited to pick this up again and my writing has truly improved. Enjoy!

It took a few days of the poison to clear Percy's system. In those days, Annabeth was there every step of the way. As soon as Percy was out of the infirmary, he took the opportunity to spend the day on the beach with Annabeth. All he wanted to do was spend some time with her, just like in the good old days. Annabeth and Percy lying down on the beach together when she said, "Do you want to hear my new plan for Capture The Flag tomorrow?" Percy stroked her hair, "Of course, my love."
Annabeth wore that warm smile that always made Percy love her even more. "First, we play offensively, weakening our defense, welcoming them in. At least that's what we want them to think. We send in a few flank heroes to make them think we are playing defensively. Then, when they arrive to grab the flag, we swoop in disarming everyone. After their forces are massively weakened, we charge in and take the flag." Percy chuckled and said, "What do I get to do in the elaborate plan of yours?" Annabeth looks up and smiles and him, "Border Patrol." They both laughed hysterically. "No, you get to be part of the team to defend the flag when the other team comes in.
Percy then asked, "Remember the first quest we went on. You were there for your mother's approval. Me to save mine, and Grover to prove himself. Look at us now, heroes of Olympus, finally together." Annabeth then said, "And I would do it all again if it meant we would be together in the end, Seaweed Brain." Percy smiled, "Annabeth, do you want to go for a swim with me?" "I thought you'd never ask."
They went into the water to about waist-deep. They splashed each other while making out. Furthermore, they played until sunset, then retired to the Poseidon Cabin. There they spent the whole night laughing and making jokes. They got so loud that Chiron sent an Iris message from his Pajamas. After that, they just kept laughing. At 1 am they went up on the cabin roof with blankets, lying down under the beautiful stars. Annabeth pointed out her favorite constellations. The camp was the best place to look at the stars. There was little to no light pollution. At 2 am they were both sound asleep, Percy's hand still touching Annabeth's hair.
They were still sleeping at 8 am. Chiron had to wake them up to remind them to eat breakfast before Capture the Flag. They walked over to the Poseidon table, both still laughing about the night before. The pair shared waffles, before getting geared up for Capture the Flag. Both were ready to fight when the horn sounded. The flank heroes go, and Percy waits patiently for the opposing team to show up at the flag. Sure enough, they do. Annabeth's plan worked. Before they had a chance to touch the flag, Percy swooped in. Disarming them with ease. Then more and more of them came. It was challenging, but Percy managed to disarm them all with nothing but a few cuts on his left arm. When their forces were weakened enough, Annabeth went in to get the flag. Annabeth's plan worked perfectly. After Annabeth crossed the border, she and Percy made out. Then, Dionysus came out. "Congrats love birds, you won. Now get off and help stitch everybody up instead of making out."
Annabeth went off and stitched Percy's arm up. "Seriously, I'm fine. It's just of few scratches." Annabeth rolled her eyes. "If you don't stay still I'm going to stitch your nose onto your arm." They both laughed. The couple went back to the beach in the afternoon. Annabeth read her favorite book, "The 33 Strategies of War,' for the one-hundredth time. Percy was playing around with the water. Percy looked at Annabeth, "I have a really serious question. What's your favorite animal?" They just couldn't stop laughing. They laughed until Annabeth said, "An owl." "Coming right up." Percy then conjured the water to come near them, almost to the point it was touching his feet. The water spiked up, forming an owl. "Oh my gods, that's amazing. It looks so real!" After the water went back into the ocean, Annabeth snuggled on Percy, "Can we go in the water?" "I thought you would never ask."
They hoped into the water. Percy pulled them underwater. Annabeth grabbed his face, pulling it towards her. Their lips touched, recreating that iconic moment after they won the war against Kronos. They walk out during sunset once more. Percy took a box out of his pocket. He opened it. Reveling a beautiful sea green ring with diamonds on the band. "Annabeth Chase, will you make me the luckiest and happiest man in the world and marry me?" "Of course." Percy put the ring on her finger and kissed her again.
Thank you so much for reading, this story. This will continue as long as I get enough reviews to keep going.
