Life's not fair isn't it my little friend?
It has been awhile after that bloody war between the Outlanders and the Pridelanders leading to Zira's death and finally uniting the two prides.
On the bright side after that Kion has just returned from the tree of life with his scar that's finally healed however no one was expecting for him to go back at the tree of life and be the king there retiring his role as the leader of the lion guard with Vitani replacing him.
On the other side Kopa the long lost son of Simba and Nala that was believed to be dead after Zira's attack has returned however he was also confused on why they are alot of outsiders in the pridelands.
Simba and Nala explained to him that the outsiders are now part of the pridelands and that Kiara and Kovu are now the future King and Queen.
Kopa tried to convince his parents that he should still be the future king...
"What do you mean that i won't be the future king anymore?!" Kopa asked
"It has been awhile you aren't trained enough to be the King" Simba replied
"And you think some outsider will be better?!" Kopa hissed
"He is not an outsider Kopa he is part of us" Simba replied "I know that this is hard to take in but you have to understand"
"So you removed the future king title to your own son and gave it to the same people that attacked me?!" Kopa hissed
"He isn't the same as Zira trust me i thought he was dangerous once but i was wrong" Simba replied
"Both and i know that's nonsense" Kopa said
"Kopa try to have an open mind and understand the whole situation" Simba replied
"To put it simply you accepted a pride that follows Scar since his reign" Kopa said
"That means you pretty much accepted your own father's murderers i wonder what will he think if he sees the pride now?" Kopa asked
"You have no right to tell me about him" Simba hissed
"Oh father i wonder what would it be like if his own son backstabbed him by accepting some termite eating outsiders?" Kopa asked
"Kopa i think you need calm down you're taking it to far" Pimbi interrupted
"Alright that's enough! Kovu and Kiara will be your King and Queen whatever you like it or not" Simba replied
"And that is just wrong! I cannot just sit here knowing that i have to be a subject to the same lions that tried to murder me!" Kopa hissed
"Zira is dead Kopa and this lions are the same as us what difference do you see? They aren't the ones that tried to kill you that was Zira and she's gone" Simba replied before leaving
"So how did it go?" Nala asked
"Not really that good, i think he needs some time to deal with it" Simba replied
"Simba we cannot afford to lose him again" Nala said
"I know but i have to do what is right, Kiara and kovu are the rightful king and queen and i am not reconsidering" Simba replied
"I know Simba i just hope this won't lead to chaos with him not taking it well" Nala said
"I know him Nala Kopa isn't that bad just give him some time he will understand you know him" Simba replied
Kopa didn't really like how his own father betrayed him by removing his future king title like how can he? First he was attacked by a crazy lioness to avenge a dead king and after coming back home an outlander has replaced him as the future king that turns out to be the very "son" of the one that tried to murder him this was alot to process.
"Taking it by force? No i can't do that" Kopa thought
"There is no way the whole pride is convinced that this madness is a good thing!"
"Hey Kopa how are you? I mean look at the bright side we are home after you lost your memory and trying to come back here we could hangout with our old friends" Pimbi asked
"Do you know what my name means Pimbi?" Kopa asked
"I don't know?" Pimbi said in confusion
"It means "heart" my parents named me because of how much i mean alot to them" Kopa replied
"So uhh does that mean you finally accepted the decision to not make you king?" Pimbi asked
"No! Starting from now on i despise that name my own parents gave me that name trying to make me think they cared about me!" Kopa hissed
"And no they don't care about me not after this they took some outsider to replace me! And some precious princess that wants outsiders to roam at the pridelands! Over Me!" Kopa hissed
"I think you should calm down" Pimbi said
"Oh Pimbi im alright but for now on don't call me "Kopa" that name means betrayal to me"
"And what should i call you from now on?" Pimbi asked
"Kali it means fierce the one that should be the king to this land and to remind the people that rejected him that they made a mistake" Kali said
"I don't know but you have been acting pretty weird today" Pimbi said
"Oh Pimbi this is just me being me" Kali replied
Ever since then Kopa announced that he will be known as Kali from now on his parents were really sad after knowing about his decision and tried to convince him to keep his old name but he didn't.
After that the situation has been pretty tame Kion finally got to know about his older brother that used tobe the future king and his whole story.
They have been alot of rumours about Kali trying to overthrow the king but he denied it as a ploy to unnecessarily demonize him Simba didn't take it seriously knowing his son won't do such a thing.
However surprisingly Kali has no attempts on overthrowing the king but only showed hostility to the outsiders especially Kovu.
A year later it has been announced that Kiara gave birth to a new prince with a presentation coming on its way...
"Wake up"
"Wake up!"
Kali woke up on his cave with Zazu in front of him
"Zazu what do you want? You just ruined my cozy sleep" Kali said
"I'm here to announce that soon to be king Kovu is on his way" Zazu said
"You better have an explanation on why you missed Mufasa's presentation, the last time i knew someone that misses his nephew's presentation let's say he wasn't really the nicest"
"Oh they named him after my Grandfather kinda ironic don't you think?" Kali asked with a grin
"You know even tho you changed your name you haven't change a bit since you were a cub" Zazu said
"Oh glad you mentioned! Because i still like hunting birds" Kali said before going on pouncing position
"Oh Kali don't look at me that way Help!" Zazu said
"Kali? What do you think you're doing?" Kovu interrupted before Kali had a chance to mess with Zazu
"Oh look? What did i do to have Prince Charming in my den?" Kali asked satirically
"I need an explanation to why you missed my son's presentation" Kovu asked
"Uhh must have overslept don't worry i won't be late tomorrow" Kali replied
"Well it's not about how sleepy you are, you are the cub's uncle you should have been there! And also there is no tommorow" Zazu said
"Well that's unfortunate i should go back on my sleep then" Kali said with a grin
"You aren't going anywhere unless you have a GOOD explanation!" Kovu hissed
"Are you deaf? I said it i just overslept and it was actually a good sleep" Kali replied
"Well looks like i won't be sleeping anymore i must get my breakfast" Kali said before leaving
"Don't you turn your back on me Kali!" Kovu demanded
"Oh Kovu you're nothing but a dirty outsider and an illegitimate heir perhaps YOU shouldn't turn your back on me" Kali replied
Kovu roared and tried to stop him on his way
"Is that a challange!?" Kovu hissed
"Calm down prince charming i wouldn't do such a thing with that precious princess involved" Kali replied
"Yeah sure" Zazu said
"if i did that it would be like fighting my own family and i wouldn't do such a thing just for some kingdom" Kali said with a fake smile before leaving
"There's one in every family Kovu but this one doesn't feel right" Zazu said
"What am i going to do with him? I mean it's not like i have a choice to be the king" Kovu replied
"Well it's a good thing that you're the heir he was so irritating when he was a cub we dodged some bullets there" Zazu said
"Really?" Kovu asked
"Yes i remember when he got kidnapped by vultures and cried like hell for it" Zazu said with a grin
