"And who would it be?" Rushwa asked
"I know an old friend" Kali replied
"I shall avenge Scar by killing you" Zira hissed
"Please have mercy i-i am just a cub!" Kopa begged
"And that's why ill strike while YOU are still a cub" Zira hissed
The poor cub had no escape from this lioness that is thirsty for blood.
The bloodthirsty lioness attacked the poor cub begging for help but no one heard him in this part of the outlands.
The attack is done with the poor cub unconscious leaving alot of scars in his body with a big one in his back and a damaged eye beyond repair.
The cub had no chance in life his soul is about to leave its body.
"Kopa where are you? You're taking way too lon-" Asante said wondering where her friend was until she saw his body with blood.
"Kopa what happened to you? I better go find help" Asante said.
Asante was wondering where she would take her friend.
And then she had no choice she had to introduce her friend to her clan.
"Uh Asante who is this lion?" A male hyena asked.
"He is my friend as the leader of this clan i demand you all to help him" Asante replied.
"He is good as dead with all those injurie-"
"I said help him!" Asante hissed
The hyena clan provided the cub shelter and they found some healing herbs they stole from the pridelands.
A few days after the cub is still unconscious
"I hate to tell you this but its been 3 days he is propably dead" A male hyena said
"I know him he is still alive" Asante asked
The rest of the hyenas just remained quiet
However on surprise kopa opened his eyes
"W-where am i?" Kopa asked with a weak tone
"Kopa! You're alive!" Asante said with joy
"It hurts... My whole body hurts" Kopa sobbed
"It will take time this herbs will help you for awhile" Asante replied
Kopa fell asleep again and Asante is glad that she saved her lion friend from sudden death.
Kopa will need a leaf eyepatch for the rest of his life to hide his eye's damage however all of the scars will be permanent with a large scar in his back.
The poor cub is in agony and didn't deserve such pain in a young age.
Suddenly Kopa woke up again.
"W-where am i?" Kopa asked
"Kopa.. you woke up again" Asante said
"W-who are you?" Kopa asked
"Y-you don't remember? It's me your friend Asante" Asante said hoping that whatever happened to him didn't cause a major memory loss
"I-i don't know anything all i remember is my name but that's it i-i don't remember anything" Kopa replied
And thus her greatest fear happened.
"Do you atleast remember who did this you?" Asante asked
"No i don't.." Kopa replied
Asante knew that this is going to be a long time before her question will be answered.
"It's fine Kopa just take a rest" Asante said
Ever since then Kopa had a huge memory loss he didn't remember anything all he knows is his name.
Kopa lived in Asante's hyena clan for the rest of his life until he is fully healed.
Kopa wasn't able to walk for 3 months and the pain is gone but the scars are still visible.
But yet his memory still isn't restored Asante hoped that the damage won't be permanent.
Asante informed Kopa's other friend Pimbi on what really happened to him and promised to keep it a secret however his best friend Afua was not informed.
Kopa lived in the outlands and Asante's hyena clan for 4 years and spent the rest of his life there until his memory has been restored.
"So Kopa how are you feeling today?" Asante asked
"Fine" Kopa replied
"That tone doesn't sound fine to me" Asante said
"I was just thinking" Kopa replied
"What is it?" Asante asked
"Where do i originally come from? I know i was originally in the pridelands but who are my parents?" Kopa asked
"Kopa... it's something you should remember and i hope your memory loss isn't permanent" Asante replied
"Should i go there?" Kopa asked
"No! It's way too dangerous you might be treated as rogue" Asante replied
"Why do you care about me that much?" Kopa asked
"Because you're my friend.. and family of course i would care" Asante replied
"Well if that's the case i should stay here" Kopa replied with a smile
Asante was unsure what to say.
"So Asante how's Kopa?" Pimbi asked
"He is fine.. He still doesn't remember" Asante replied
"Are you sure that keeping him here would be safe? Shouldn't we like bring him at the pridelands at least after all this years?" Pimbi asked
"No! No he shouldn't he might be hurt or worse!" Asante hissed
"Wouldn't it be more dangerous for him to stay here? What if Simba finds out? He might consider that your clan took him away from him" Pimbi asked
"It will be fine Pimbi i have it all under control" Asante replied
"Asante tell me the truth why are you preventing him to atleast meet his parents?" Pimbi asked
"I'm doing this to protect him" Asante replied
"How exactly is keeping him in the outlands protecting him?" Pimbi asked
"Just trust me Pimbi! He will be safe under me and my clan he will be able to go back until he remembers! " Asante hissed
"Asante you don't sound right.." Pimbi said
"What do you mean?" Asante asked
"Asante tell me the truth now!" Pimbi demanded
"What are you talking about?" Asante replies
"Asante are you doing this because you have some funny feelings for him and you don't want him away and took him being severely injured as an opportunity? " Pimbi asked
"What? No! That's a ridiculous accusation" Asante replied
"By the tone of that voice you're lying" Pimbi said
"Alright fine yes i do love him more than a friend but that doesn't mean i took his attack as an opportunity!" Asante replied
Pimbi responded with laughter.
"So now what? Happy?" Asante said with an annoyed tone
"A lion and a hyena in love? That's new" Pimbi replied with a grin
"Yes i know its different that's why i won't ask him" Asante said
"Well you better try you and Kopa have been really close even before the attack" Pimbi said
"Yeah alright fine i might consider trying happy?" Asante replied
"You should have seen your face" Pimbi said with a grin
"Alright Pimbi it's very funny now please stop it because i have to go now, I have to sleep just look at the time" Asante said looking at the dark sky
Pimbi nodded and left.
"Where were you?" Kopa asked
"Nothing i just went outside.." Asante replied
"Well if that's the case i better go back to sleep" Kopa said
While Kopa is sleeping he had a nightmare of a lioness attacking him leading to his injuries, He also had a dream of his family and his father teaching him the way of the circle of life but the nightmare was way too much.
"NOOOO" Kopa screamed in pain
"Kopa what's going on" Asante asked
"I-i remember" Kopa replied
"What? What happened?" Asante asked
"I had a family.. the attack Zira attacked me that little.." Kopa said
"Kopa let's take a rest for a moment you cannot just attack someone now" Asante said
"I have to Asante, She broke me she gave me this pain she has to pay.." Kopa replied
"Kopa.. Zira is dead" Asante said
"What? How?" Kopa asked
"She died just a few weeks ago after falling into a river" Asante replied
Kopa didn't know how to respond due to the fact that he can't get revenge and make her pay
"I know that's alot to take in but we need to go back to sleep and maybe you can go back to your home tommorow and meet your family" Asante said
Kopa hated to admit but she's right it's not a good time to go back.
Ever since then Kopa left the outlands and came back home with Pimbi expecting that he will still be the future king.
However that was not the case Simba revoked his future king title for Kovu and Kiara
"Hmm a hyena clan on our side? Sounds like a good idea" Rushwa said with an intrigued tone
The two are on there way to the outlands with Kali hoping that she will accept.
Kali knew he has to offer something big.
"Hey Asante long time no see" Kali greeted
"Hey Kopa i-i missed you" Asante greeted before nuzzling him
"My name's not Kopa it's Kali" Kali replied with an annoyed tone
"Well how did it go? Meeting your family?" Asante asked
"Bad" Kali replied
"What? Why?" Asante asked
"They revoked my future king title for Zira's son" Kali hissed
"T-thats bad" Asante replied
"And that's why im asking you for help" Kali said
"What kind of help?" Asante asked
"Help me retake what's mine.. the throne" Kali replied
Asante didn't know how to respond should she accept it? Could she help him?
"You know your clan has an interesting history if you help me your mother Shenzi would be proud" Kali said
"H-how could i help you?" Asante asked
"Just do what i say in return i will give your clan what it needs, food and hunting rights in everything the light touches" Kali replied
"How would you do that? How will you overthrow Simba?" Asante asked
"By killing him" Kali replied
"Ko- i mean Kali are you absolutely sure that you are plotting to kill your own father?" Asante asked
"That fool does not deserve to be my father!" Kali hissed
"And we're not just doing that we're taking away Kiara's hairball from her" Kali added
"How could we possibly do that? Simba is way too powerful" Asante protested
"My father has his own weakness and i know him" Kali said
"A back stabbing fool that needs to be put down" Kali added
"Which he failed to serve his own kingdom properly by letting his daughter marry the enemy and betraying his own son!" Kali added
"Kali i-i can't do this.." Asante said
"We agree with him! We need some food from the pridelands and Simba needs to be taken down!" The hyenas demanded
"So Asante your clan agrees with me why can't you?" Kali asked
"F-fine Kali ill do this just to help a friend and for my clan" Asante replied
"Very well, what's the plan?" Rushwa asked
"Oh i have a good one" Kali added
"So how did it go?" Nala asked
"Not good" Simba replied
"What happened?" Nala asked
"I did something bad.. i-i hurt him" Simba replied
"Simba what were you thinking? we can't afford to lose him again if something goes terribly wrong!" Nala replied
"I know Nala i know.. i just hope he would forgive me and finally understands my decision" Simba said
"Simba our son always wanted to be king... you know that" Nala said
"Yes i know but come on Kiara has always been with us she was trained to be queen and she is the one that united the two prides she deserves it" Simba replied
"Simba are you doing this for our family or for the kingdom?" Nala asked
"What do you mean? Of course i do it for my family" Simba replied
"Simba i think you should reconsider your choice Kiara will be a good queen but we can't have Kopa be broken forever knowing that he will never be king" Nala said
"You said that Kiara will be a better ruler because she was trained and better for the kingdom, and Kopa isn't fit to be king because he isn't trained so did you do it for the kingdom or our family?" Nala added
Simba didn't know how to respond sure Kiara will be a better ruler but picking her over Kopa kind of seems like he only cares about the kingdom.
"Nala i-"
"I'll give you time to think but let me remind you that i'm not opposed to both of your decisions just make sure that you're doing it out of love for your family not just the kingdom" Nala interrupted
"Hey father can we talk?" Kali said
"Well this better end up good" Nala whispered to Simba
"Yes Kali we can.. talk" Simba replied
The father and son left priderock after looking for a space to talk.
"So Kali where are we going?" Simba asked
"Lion Guard Lion Guard!" A bird begged for help
"What is it?" Vitani said
"Hyenas! In the pridelands! They're hunting a herd of zebras!" The bird replied
"Well we better prepare!" Vitani said
"Till the pridelands end"
"Lion Guard Defend!"
"They fell for it" Rushwa said
"The sunset is looking good" Kali said
"Yes it does Kali" Simba replied
"So where are we going?" Simba asked
"Oh trust me father you'll like this" Kali replied
"What is it?" Simba asked with a grin
"Well father i just realised i have been such a fool" Kali replied
"Kali it's ok i understand" Simba said
"So i decided we might have some free time together! You know a father and son thing" Kali replied
"Sounds good it better not be something dumb" Simba said
"Oh father you'll like it very very much"
"So basically we will take that cub?" Azizi asked
"Yes Azizi it's what our matriarch commanded us to do but first we have to wait for the sign" Kamari replied
"Till the pridelands end"
"Lion guard defend!"
"That better be a good sign" Kamari said
"Oh hey there furbrains" Rushwa said
"What? Were you supposed to be here?" Azizi asked
"YES the lion guard is away! Take that cub!" Rushwa hissed
"Kali are you sure you know where you're taking us? We are very close to the outlands" Simba said
"Yes he does know" A hyena appeared which turned out to be Asante
"Father trust me in this! Go near the river and we'll fight the hyenas!" Kali said
"Attack"
The hyenas attacked both Kali and Simba making a huge distraction.
However it worked they are near the river.
A hyena bit Kali and he roared in pain.
"Don't actually kill me you idiot!" Kali hissed
"Sorry" The hyena replied
"Well father did you liked it?" Kali asked with a grin
"Kali are you re-responsible for this? How could you?" Simba said
"In short you pissed me off and i decided to take the throne by force!" Kali replied
"Kopa you don't have to do this... You are my son and loved you like one" Simba said
"Lies! Get out of my sight!" Kali hissed before pushing him in the river
Kali watched his father try to survive and eventually gave up and drowned in the river.
Kali couldn't be happier.
"Zazu get Kovu in here tell him that i have to talk to him" Kiara commanded
"Will do" Zazu said before flying
"She is alone" Azizi said
"Yes she is.." Kamari replied
"Take the cub ill put the princess in her place" Kamari said
"Oh hey there princess Kiara" Kamari greeted
"Who are you? You hyenas aren't supposed to be here!" Kiara hissed
Without any warning Kamari attacked Kiara by bashing a rock on her head as Kiara fell unconscious.
"Very well i never knew you furbrains could do such a good job" Rushwa said with a grin
"We just did snakey, Azizi take the cub to the outlands!" Kamari said
"Someone! Help us!" Kali begged
"Oh no Simba! What happened to him?" Nala asked
"I-it was an accident we were talking near the river and he fell!" Kali said
"Kovu! Take Rafiki we will need some help!" Nala demanded
"Will do" Kovu replied
"Kovu, Kiara will be needing you" Zazu showed up not expecting a disaster to happen
"What just happened?" Zazu asked
"An accident! He fell in the river!" Kali said
"I'll be taking Rafiki and Kovu Kiara will be needing you" Zazu said
"Ok i have to go" Kovu replied
Kovu was on his way to Kiara's den however he was shocked to see that Kiara was unconscious and his cub was missing.
"Kiara! Wake up!" Kovu said
Kiara was opening her eyes with kovu being the first thing she sees
"What happened?" Kiara asked
"Where's Mufasa?!" Kovu asked
"What? No no it can't be! He is missing!" Kiara replied
"Who took him? Who attacked you?" Kovu asked
"I don't remember the last thing i remember that i was bathing him, Oh Kovu what should we do?!" Kiara sobbed
And thus his greatest fear just happened losing his son
"Kovu and kiara.. Where's Mufasa?" Nala asked
"He-"
"He is missing but Kiara doesn't remember who took him" Kovu said leaving a tear in his eye
The whole pride was shocked they didn't just lose the king in this day but they lost the newborn prince too.
It was the most tragic day in the pridelands.
Kovu tried to find his cub but couldn't that newborn cub might have been dead by cold or eaten by a predator by now and Kovu was disgusted thinking about it his own son is gone..
All searching parties have been dispatched the newborn prince is declared dead.
It really was the saddest day of the pridelands.
A few days after the whole pride is in mourning announcing the funeral of Simba and Mufasa II with other guests like the Nightpride with Timon and Pumbaa crying due to the fact that there bestfriend that they raised has died.
"Today we will say goodbye to a Friend a Father and a King he has served his role in the circle of life" Rafiki announced
"He was one of the greatest Kings the pridelands ever had without him we will still be suffering under Scar's regime" Rafiki announced with tears
"And not just that the newborn prince Mufasa the second has also been declared dead after a failed attempt to find him that poor cub barely even began go live" Rafiki announced
The whole pride was in mourning especially Kiara and Kovu.
Kali was there pretending to be sad to not have some suspicions.
"Out of the ashes of this tragedy a new era will be born under King Kovu and Queen Kiara" Rafiki announced
The whole pride roared in applause with Kovu standing up in top of priderock
"I'm sorry but i can't be the King" Kovu announced
The whole pride was shocked including Kali he didn't expect this
"I'm offering my throne to Prince Kopa he is the rightful king not me" Kovu added
"Well now this is interessssting" Rushwa said while watching the funeral in secret
"Well that means alot to me... but i kindly do not accept your offer" Kali said
"What is he planning now??" Rushwa was in shock
"What? you wanted to be king right?" Kovu replied in shock
"I did but.. I-it was my fault that my father died if i haven't asked him to talk then he would have been alive today" Kali sobbed
"Kopa it's not your fault it was an accident" Nala said comforting her son
"Accident or not it was still my fault so Kovu will be the rightful king" Kali announced
Kovu had no choice but to accept it he can't give it to someone like Kion he is already ruling another kingdom.
"If that's the case... I shall be the king and i promise that i will do my best" Kovu announced
The whole pride roared in applause celebrating a birth of a new era.
in the outlands
"WHAT WERE YOU DOING" Rushwa hissed
"What? I did nothing wrong" Kali replied
"Don't you play innocent at me i was there you had a chance to be the king!" Rushwa added
Kali responded with a laugh
"Rushwa sometimes you have to play smart if i accepted that offer out of joy there will be alot of suspicion that i killed my father" Kali replied
"And also if i accepted we would be in alot of trouble remember the deal with the hyenas? And the cub? If i accepted it i cannot grant the hyenas what they want and i also can't raise the cub to be in our side" Kali added
"You do have a point.. but you better know what you're doing" Rushwa replied
And that's it for Chapter 3 a very long one since i wanted Chapter 4 to be the start of the story this is just a set up
