"So you're saying that you are going to convince this thing that he is your son?" Asante asked
"Yes Asante it will be our first step to power" Kali replied
"What if he found out about his true parents?" Asante asked
"Simple he won't, Rushwa you know what to do" Kali replied
"What is he going to do?" Asante asked
"Making sure the cub will follow our side" Kali replied
Rushwa gave a venomous scar to the infant cub's left eye which will remain in him permanently.
Ever since then King Kovu and Queen Kiara had a new male heir with the presentation happening tommorow a new generation has started in the pridelands.
A few months later Kali raised the cub in his way without knowing about his real parents and is now a full grown cub and a black tuft in his head.
The new prince however will be named as Matu and will be the future king of the pridelands who looks identitical to his mother with green eyes that has shown to be a mischievous cub.
Mufasa II will be renamed as Chaka who looks identical to his father with brown fur and red eyes similar to his mother however due to his venomous scar and Kali's training the cub has shown to be serious and violent.
"Dad why do we live in the outlands? We could move to a better place" Chaka asked
"Well because this is the safest place we could live now" Kali replied
"How is a barren wasteland is supposed to make us safe?" Chaka asked
Kali responded with a chuckle
"Well if we move other mean lions would kill you especially in the pridelands!" Kali replied
"Are they really that mean?" Chaka asked with a worried tone
"Yes Chaka and i wouldn't want my favourite son to be harmed" Kali replied hugging him
"Well im your only son" Chaka said
"Well more reason for me to protect you" Kali replied
"Now go along and play with the hyenas" Kali said
In the pridelands
"Dad wake up! Come on dad!" Matu begged
"You better wake up or he won't stop" Kiara whispered
"Dad you promised!" Matu complained
"Alright fine I'm up" Kovu said
"Yay!" Matu exclaimed
"how come does one cub have so much energy?" Kovu whispered
The two went into the top of priderock to watch the sunrise
"Matu your Grandfather once told me about this when he was teaching me to be the king of priderock" Kovu said
"Everything the light touches is our kingdom but a king's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new king" Kovu explained
"I can't believe I'm actually saying this" Kovu whispered
"Woah, what's the shadowy place?" Matu asked
"That's the outlands i actually used to live there.." Kovu replied
"Really? Woah! What is it like living there?" Matu asked
"Bad really bad now promise me Matu that you should NEVER go there" Kovu said
"No problem dad" Matu replied
The two went outside of priderock to see the animals and the plants
"Matu everything you see here exists in a delicate balance you must respect every animal" Kovu said
"But dad won't we eat other animals?" Matu asked
"Well yes! You are right but let me explain When we die our bodies become grass and then the antelope eat the grass so we are all connected to the circle of life" Kovu replied
"Dad can i go play now?" Matu asked
"Yes but you better remember our lessons" Kovu replied
"Don't worry dad I will" Matu said before running off
"How's parenthood going?" Zazu asked
"Good" Kovu replied
"Well good for you sire" Zazu replied
"Don't call me sire.. just call me by my name" Kovu said
"Yes Kovu, anyway i am planning to retire" Zazu replied
"Well it's sad to see you go i hope you have a good retirement" Kovu said
"Well don't worry Kovu Ono is on his way from the tree of life to replace me it has been a good journey serving this kingdom" Zazu replied
Zazu has announced his retirement at priderock with Ono who is the former member of the lion guard will be the one to replace him as the royal majordomo.
"Hey Shani" Matu greeted
"Hey Matu" Shani greeted
"Come on I just found out about a really cool place" Matu said
"Woah! What is it?" Shani asked
"The outlands, And my dad used to live there " Matu replied
"Wow that sounds cool" Shani replied
Matu has been friends with a lioness cub named Shani who was adopted by tiifu and was an abandoned cub, the cub was widely accepted by the whole pride.
The two cubs have left the pridelands and was really curious about the outlands was it really dangerous? There's only one way to know.
"Wow everything here is so dry" Matu said
"It also smells bad" Shani said with disgusted tone
However an older lion cub was watching in the distance
"Hey you!" Chaka hissed
"Hello?" Shani greeted
"What are you two doing in my territory?!" Chaka asked
"Nothing loser we're just having fun" Matu replied
"What did you just call me?" Chaka asked
"I called you a loser anything wrong?" Matu replied with a grin
"Matu i think we should leave him alone.." Shani said with a worried tone
"I have this under control Shani" Matu said
"You better leave now or else.." Chaka warned
"Or else what?" Matu teased
Chaka pounced at Matu pinning him to the ground Matu responded by Clawing him
"I wonder where is Chaka I brought some food for him" Kali whispered
Kali is back at the outlands with food to feed Chaka, However when he came back Chaka was not in the hyena den where he was supposed to be.
However when Kali finally found Chaka its not what he expected.
"No no this can't be he just met his brother" Kali whispered in a worried tone
"Wait, they're about to fight this is going to be interesting.." Kali whispered
"You'll regret that" Chaka said
Chaka immediately responded by clawing his face multiple times
"Can you guys stop!" Shani hissed
"Then you guys should leave, NOW" Chaka hissed
"Alright fine loser this place sucks anyway" Matu complained
"Come on Shani let's go" Matu said before leaving
"Those stupid pridelanders bleh" Chaka said with a disgusted tone
"This is going to be easier than i thought it would be, he has developed hate at his own brother" Kali whispered
"Chaka where have you been? I was searching for you" Kali said trying to look that he didn't know what happened
"Nothing dad, I'm sorry that i didn't stay" Chaka replied
"Well you better go there is food at home" Kali said
"Thanks Dad" Chaka replied
Kali made sure Chaka left and nowhere to be seen before meeting Matu and Shani
"What are you two doing??" Kali asked
"Uh.. uh hello uncle Kali" Matu said with a smile trying to look innocent
"Why are you in the outlands?" Kali asked
"W-well i-i"
"We ran away we thought this would be a cool place" Shani interrupted
"Well you better prepare for how your father will react if he hears about this, Oh! What would he think???" Kali said with a grin
"Uncle Kali pls don't tell him I swear I'll do anything" Matu begged
"Hmm well its a good thing you didn't end up like your brother oops" Kali said
"W-wait I had a brother??" Matu asked with shock
"Matu had a brother??" Shani asked
"Oh dear I've said so much! Well you two might find out about it anyway especially with you two being clever and all" Kali replied with a worried tone
"Uncle Kali was he cool?" Matu asked
"Well we never knew for sure, better ask your father about it" Kali replied
"Well Matu I'll keep your secret if you keep mine don't tell your father that i told you about your brother you promise?" Kali said
"No problem" Matu replied
"Now you two go along and play and remember Matu, it's our little secret!" Kali said
In Asante's Territory
"WHAT WE'RE YOU TWO DOING?!?" Kali hissed
"W-well we we" Azizi stuttered
"SOMETHING MIGHT HAVE GONE WRONG YOU TWO WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF HIM!" Kali thundered
"We-we promise i-it won't happen again right?" Kamari said
Azizi nodded
"Dad I-its my fault i should have stayed" Chaka chimed in
"Well Kali I think we should stop being angry at our allies" Rushwa said
"Alright fine! But if this happens again it won't end with a happy ending" Kali warned
In the pridelands
Matu and Shani played in the waterhole thankfully for there uncle he won't tell there parents about what they just tried to do.
The two have stopped playing during night time.
"Hey dad" Matu greeted
"Hey Matu" Kovu greeted
"Dad did I had a brother?" Matu asked
Kovu was shocked he was hoping that he would tell him about it once he gets older however that's not the case anymore
"H-how did you know?" Kovu asked
"I just found out by searching.." Matu lied
"Yes you had one" Kovu said with a sad tone
"What happened to him? Where is he now?" Matu asked
"He has served his purpose in the circle of life in an early age.." Kovu replied
"M-my brother is dead?" Matu asked with a worried tone
"Yes we don't know for sure what is the cause and what really happened, He died the same day your grandfather died" Kovu replied
Matu didn't know how to react well if his brother is still around he won't be the future king but he always thought that it would be cool to have a brother.
"Well he could have been pretty cool to play with.." Matu said
"Well Matu let me tell you what your grandfather told me look at the stars they're the great kings of the past and your brother is up there watching us" Kovu said
"Woah" Matu replied
