The Sound of Silence

- Disturbed

The trip to Mustafar was silent. The general did not say a word, to himself or to his own IG-100's which were his escorts caped with white cloaks and black markings of Kalee origin upon them. All he had really was his mind, rapidly going throughout many different ideas and thoughts. But even then, they were all of the same genre... the Death of the Jedi.

Surprisingly, there was no security issues with a Separatist model Sheathipede-class shuttle coming into Coruscant's atmosphere. Not a transmission, not a word. Through the clouds, the sky was dark. City lights scattered around with traffic of flying cars told of the planets nature.

Extending bug-like legs, the ship landed on a pad with not a person to be seen, which was strange.

Rocking a few times, vessel came to a stop as pressurized gas came out of some of the joints from the limbs.

The general pointed ears flexed upwards a bit as he pulled out a brown holo disk. Pressing it, a blue hologram appeared, with it, a shuttering image was sent up his spine. A hooded figure, with eyes covered and face emotionless... it was Him. Immediately taking a knee, this caught him so off-guard.

"My Lord?" he said.

A pause, following with the figures tone sounding demonic and deep, "General Grievous... the end of the war is here."

"Yes my Lord, I am on my way to the Mustafar System as we speak."

"My apprentice will accompany you and the Separatist leaders... he will, take care of you."

"Yes... my Lord," after the message, he turned off the holodisk.

Shaking his head as eyes squinted, he looked out to the side. Knowing what Dooku told him, the Chancellor and Palpatine, the same... it was, wrong and almost impossible to see his Lord in the same light as before. The more he thought, the more he rejected as he began to ponder heretical things like, is the Dark Lord responsible for the Death of his People? Is he? Is it coincidental? Or something else? He cannot know or tell for sure, but still, something about his Lord is wrong. He always knew there was mystery and ominousness to the Sith, but to this much of an extent? What is there now? It could be anything at this point.

The sheathipede shuttle with its bug-like legs landed on the platform at the back of the station, pressure shooting out of its underbelly.

Grievous, stepping out and looking to the surroundings of magma and lava, grazed around to his surroundings. Hot white steam blew out he sides of the ramp as the ship de-pressurized giving the view an even more ominous appearance.

The generals cape drug slightly to the floor, black and covering everything except his long dragon-like neck. Loud clomps of metal came as he descended the ramp. Red lighting came off the hot lava and made the gold upon his reptilian eyes an even brighter hue, almost inhuman in nature.

With his IG-100's following him in perfect formation, he was an astounding feature to behold. With their automaton red beady eyes coming off the red even bigger.

On the far side of the platform, two B1 battle droids apprcohed, and to which one of them spoke,

"This way general."

Following deep into and through the structures, the narrow hallways were a little bit cumbersome for the general. Bright white arcades upon the grey steel made a strange tone. Making it to the main room, it opened up to first noticeably two huge blue holotables. Multiple B1 battle droids at formations upon their entrances.

Many leaders of the Separatists were here. They all turned to the direction which Grievous came from as one could not help but turn to the loud sound of metal walking and slightly scraping.

Including Poggle the Lesser, Archduke from the planet Geonosis, and mass curator for the droid production. Seen with brown bug-like statures, a beard shaped face, and a cane to hobble upon. Older, his wings would twitch like an insect every now and then in conversation.

Nute Gunray, pale green skin and seen with huge crimson eyes, dressed with a red robe as bright as the eyes. A black hat signifying his rank in his Trade Federation. Using his skills with diplomacy, he usually was the one trying to be a neutral counterpart to both the Galactic Republic and the Separatists.

A robotic creature turned the cylinder on his chest, as the voice box contorted a few times, green skin or... loose fabric for that matter, shook a bit. Through the steam punk operated body and circular almost goggles, it coughed once. Wat Tambor, head foreman of the Techno Union, responsible for the funding of the massive droids armies and their various prototypes.

So many leaders gathered in one place, even Grievous was surprised, as there was some that he did not see on Utapau. Strangely enough, everyone could see something different with the general. For starters, he stood up straight rather than a little hunched over. Cape did not drag to the floor as much as it did before. And the eyes, dilated and with focus. In any case, they still were interested and slightly intimidated by the general being their commanding officer.

Nodding, Grievous would motion to his magnagaurds. Now marching over to stations by entryways next to some of the B1 battle droids.

Following with clicks of vertebrae from his throat came fro Poggle the lesser. A black disc in its three fingered hand glowed to a bright red a few moments later. Robotic tones came out from it as it translated the clicking,

"Greetings general, it is good to see you again."

"Indeed Archduke," said Grievous, "the end of the war is at hand, and there are some interesting things to discuss."

Before he could even continue, a notification from one of the alarms on the panel desk rang about. A Jedi star fighter, yellow in orientation. As the meter and the camera showed it landing on the landing deck outside, two B1 battle droids went to it as lava spewed around in the background. Security cameras showed a man getting out of the cockpit, brown and face covered by a hood. Strangely enough, the bit that was shown appears to be a Jedi's robes covering him.

"Who is this?" asked the general.

Nute Gunrray smiled with pride, "Lord Sidious sent his new apprentice to act as protection as we create a plan to invade coruscant."

Eyes squinted, something was definitely off with this 'new apprentice'. He may not know who this was, but his gut deep down felt wrong. Like he had seen him before or may have glanced his face. Too much to be certain, but still, for the Sith Lords to take down Count Dooku? And replace him? This is something that the general just cannot overlook. He was not terrified, more of... interested.
