Sword and Monsters

Reviews and Stuff

Chaotic: I'll just up some of them as long as it fits their lore descriptions and justifies that they should be strong, not just something to be hunted within 10-20 minutes lmao.

BB-Leviathan: Yeah, Im aware that Capcom really had not much intention on having a proper story at the first develoment of the game. If I remember correctly it first came out along side with Resident Evil and a racing game that flopped pretty hard. So the concept of EDW and Great Dragon War was pretty much cut away in favor for just another hack and slash game at the time. Learned that during my search around the internet for more materials to use and incorporate into the story.

I agree with you on that one, I pretty much went through various sites and pretty much see that Wiki tends to over exaggerate things and mostly made up by fan theories. Haven't completed MH4U and still at only at High Rank since I switched over to MHGU so I can't say much about the story, I think it was pretty nice if im being honest ,going around with the Caravaneer was pretty fun in my opinion. And MHGU is did ok on trying to tie various main villages together.

As for Fatalis, I got something it mind for it but it still depends where this goes really, So im not gonna concern myself with the black dragons for now.

Yep, also Hypnocatrice, another frontier monster got in to the main series alongside with Lavasioth but never got to reappear again. And yeah Im gonna try to treat the spin offs as part of the same universe/world but only to where my dumb mind can still comprehend things lol.

Im currently relying on Strawfoot and SuperRad on YouTube and BannedLagiacrus on Twitter about lore stuff, and Damn Haven't seen any of Josh's videos for atleast 2 years now, probably should check him his vids again.

Ochsee: Didn't want to go that way as it would be OOC of Zel to just do it as entirely for entertainment, But I'll still be using him as the reason why he has a wyverian body.

To Everyone: Thanks really, but ill be real with you here, try not to get your hopes too high up on this one. As I am very much prone to turn something as "great" as this to something undesirable to read. But thank you anyways, ill judt have to try my best I suppose.

Anyway, that's pretty much it for the reviews. Now onto the chapter.

Chapter 2 : First Encounter

A few minutes had passed after the boy had finally calmed down due to absurdity of his current situation. Who could blame him after being regressed to his young and child physique and having features of beings that wouldn't have looked out of place during the Age of Gods.

After shaking his head, putting on his lover's red pendant around his neck and decided to investigate his immediate surroundings.

He appeared to be in a mix between a rainforest and jungle of some sort, and one that he didn't recognize as the massive size of the trees towering over each other were much taller than what he was used to seeing during his travels around the world as a mercenary.

Walking around barefoot trying to get used to his new digitigrade feet was weird at first, yet only after a couple minutes or so he was already getting comfortable with it. He even noticed that his strides were wider and therefore covered more ground as he walked even if he currently had short legs that of a child.

After contemplating what he should do next, he decided to climb up one of the tallest trees near him so he could get a overview of the jungle he found himself in. After climbing up quite possibly a tree that is as high as the outer appearance of the Clock Tower which would be well over 90 meters.

Using the large branches and vines as a foothold and after another couple of minutes he finally reached the top and what he saw a sight to behold.

He was just in time to see the sun break(heh) through the clouds above the horizon. Beautiful morning clear sky that seemed to be untouched by polution. He couldn't help but stare with awe at the view laid before him.

In the distance, he could see a large scenic waterfall that could compare, if not, outright surpasses the Niagra Falls in beauty. Large amounts of water cascading down the river below it with a rainbow forming to go along with it. There were also no sign of civilization in front of him.

After turning back his head, what he found that took his attention was a old looking ruins sticking out like a sore thumb in the sea of trees that looked awfully similar to that of Hindu's or Aztec's temples back the way he came from. Choosing to climb back down and head on over to the old ruins as it is the only sign of civilization he could see and search for any possible clues as to indicate where on earth he was.

He walked all the way back, passing by where he initially woke up and continued to head over the ruins, but also noticing foot prints in the somewhat muddy dirt. Footprints exactly match the same as his new feet.

"What is going on right now..." He said as he was getting more and more confused and having more questions going through his head.

Where was he? Who brought him here? Why is he a child with features of a race of some sort of mythological being. Why are are footprints were going the opposite way from the ruins look similar to his? If It is his footprints, why didn't he have any memory of moving away from the ruins before he woke up?

Hopefully, the ruins had the answers to the questions he that had been bothering him his mind.

Old Ruins

It was dark, but enough to see the old looking equipment thanks to the morning sunlight coming through the small cracks of the ruins. But what the ash haired child took notice was a old yet advanced looking broken glass container. Glass strewn about on the floor with weird liquid still dripping out of said container. He looked at the ground in front of the glass to see footprints heading out to the entrance. As if something came out of the container.

Then it clicked, the broken glass container with tracks the same as his heading out into the direction where he first gained consciousness. The thing that was supposed to be inside the container is him... Or the body atleast.

Did he take over the body of the child in someway? He didn't want to believe it but that was what may exactly happened here. If it truly is the case, there is something he needed to find out immediately as it was what that defined him as a being.

He willed his magic circuits to life, blue lines streaked across his body. He then performed Structural Grasp, a branch of Reinforcement magecraft, onto his body to examine it.

Sure enough, It wasn't that parts of his body got turned resembling another race. It truly was another body entirely different than his original body. Only the facial features excluding the ears were similar in appearance to his younger years and nothing more. Avalon is also no longer in within him as the body is not his. Furthermore, he found something powerful lying dormant inside the body and he couldn't exactly tell what it was.

Was it only his soul that took over the body then? If so, why is Rin's pendant and his clothing still with him here after taking over the body?

And why was said body inside the glass container in the first place? Who made these ruins and equipment and where and what happened to them? Was this body some sort of homunculus or chimera research done by some Magi?

One question answered, more than one takes it's place. The current predicament he found himself in is getting more and more absurd and frustrating that the boy gritted his teeth, clenched his fists and-

*Inhale* *Exhale*

"Calm down, you won't get anywhere like this..." He said to himself. Calming down and searching for anything else he could use for information within the ruins. Yet could find nothing more.

With nothing else that could provide him any information within the ruins and hunger starting to kick in, he promptly left and decided to head on over to where that large waterfall and river he spotted earlier.

Hoping to find anything he could eat on his way there would be best, and even if he couldn't find any fruit, berries, or anything edible. He could still try to catch some fish to sate his hunger before going to explore more of the jungle.

Unbeknownst to him, the 'fish' he'll be fishing would be his biggest catch yet in this new life of his.

Over an hour or so of treading his way carefully towards the waterfalls, he discovered more interesting things about the locale he was in, after activating his magic circuits earlier he found out that the mana density of his surroundings were denser than it was. Enough that he should have died by now, he chalked it up the he was still alive due to the new body he currently found himself in.

He had also encountered a group of strange creatures that he swore were some kind of herbivore dinosaurs, he could have stopped right then and there to hunt one but couldn't risk it as he had no idea what they can and will do afterwards.

At this point he began to wonder, did he somehow time travel back to the past or was he in another world entirely? He didn't know what to think if either of his hypothesis was correct but for now he'll just have to survive and think it about more thoroughly.

And at last he arrived at his destination, walking just at the edge of the water and looking in to see if he could spot any fish. He then traced a common spear and held it over his head. Spotting a fish near in front of him, he was about to throw it before he was interrupted by a small cry far behind him.

His senses were on high alert and looked back to see where the sound came from, and saw a dinosaur looking creature. one that he could recognize as similar to that of a tyrannosaur with the size of a large dog with a... blade for a tail? It looked like it was trying to ward him away or warning him of something.

Suddenly, his instincts flared thanks to his Mind's Eye due to Archer's experience and his own and turned around towards the water to see a massive shark looking directly at him below the surface of the water and rolled away just in time to avoid being caught in between it's jaws as it leapt straight out the water on to land.

After he got up from his roll and turned his head towards the beached shark, only to have his mouth hang open as he saw it STAND up with it's LEGS.

It stood up and turned towards him then he examined what he was looking at, it appeared to be a giant shark with legs and webbed feet, a pair of wings and green scales. Pure white eyes staring at him like a predator would towards it's prey.

"What the hell is that! Who thought giving a giant shark with legs was a good idea!" He said as he noticed it pull it's head back as it breathed out highly-pressurized water towards him.

He rolled out the way again and glanced to the side to see the damage the creature's pressurized stream of water had done, the tree behind him was blasted in half with incredible force that he decided he start taking things seriously.

'Trace On' he mentally chanted his aria after activating his magic circuits. He projected a familiar black bow, albiet altered to fit him with his small body and a altered sword arrow nocked and let it loose straight into the creature's eye.

It let out a shriek of pain and wildly blasted more streams of water towards the boy to which he moved out the way to avoid being hit.

Seeing as the creature's ranged attacks did not work, it lunged forward and slithered towards the boy to only miss again as the boy was fast enough and moved out of the way.

Seeing an opportunity to strike, Shirou dematerialized his black bow in favor of projecting his trusted twin blades —Kanshou and Bakuya— and slashed it's achilles' tendon causing it to lose its balance.

With the damage it had suffered from the boy which it viewed as a quick "snack" was more dangerous than it first assumed. It slammed the boy with it's massive tail sending him flying straight towards the trees. with the distance it created between it and the boy, it turned back and slowly limp it's way back towards the safety of the waters.

Shirou —recovering after being flung away— once again projected the nameless black bow and a twisted sword of a great king and hero, altering it to a sleeker and aerodynamic arrow. Nocking the sword-turned-arrow Noble Phantasm of Beowulf and aimed it at the monster.

"Soar, HRUNTING!"

A red streak flew straight into the monster's head, dropping unto it's sides flopping and twitching momentarily, before finally going motionless.

He then approached it with caution, another nameless sword-arrow nocked aimed at it's head. After a couple of moments, after deeming it was finally dead, he let his bow fade into blue motes of light.

"This is getting more and more ridiculous, I just wanted to fish for a fish or two, not a giant shark with legs. Is this thing even edible?" He let out a sigh of resignation "Well it's better than nothing."

He then proceeded to project a large carving knife to cut into the monster but stopped as he felt a presence watching him, he felt that there was no intention of causing him harm from the presence, merely watching him.

He was alert once again and searched for where he the feeling of being watched was coming from but only saw a cliff kilometers away and could only see white mists, dark clouds and the sound of thunder in the skies. Was it just his imagination playing tricks on him? An ill omen? He didn't know.

*Chomp* *Crunch* *Chew* *Chew* *Gulp*

The boy turned around and once again projected his bow with an arrow already nocked and aimed to where the sound was coming from, only to blink as he stared at a dinosaur like creature eat like a glutton, the same one that tried to warn him from the shark monster? Was it really warning him or just threatening him earlier?

The dinosaur thing stopped mid-bite to stare back at him, they stood there just staring each other before the dinosaur with a sharp tail took another bite into the monster shark all the while still staring at him.

"Pfftt, hahaha you're a funny one aren't you?" He said, shaking his head and dematerializing his weapon to in favor of carving his own piece of meat, maybe he could also the monster shark's tough scales and fins, maybe also gut it open later to see if there could be any organs that could be of use.

All the while keeping eye on the creature beside him eat to it's heart's content, not noticing the small red glint the pendant around his neck emitted.

In the future, He would always look back to this moment when reminiscing about the past as the very beginning of strong bond and camaraderie between a man and a monster.

Over the cliffs where dark clouds gather and roaring thunders can be heard. A white beast stood on all fours observing the source and cause of the disturbance within locale under it's protection. It shall only observe for now and judge the actions of the being that it deems will create massive waves to the world.

It turned and strutted towards the mist, then with flash of lightning and crack of thunder, It disappeared and the the dark clouds and lightings soon dispersed as if it was never there in the first place.

"What the hell is that! Who thought giving a giant shark with legs was a good idea!" He said as he noticed it turn sideways. He then saw something familiar strapped to it's hips and unconsciously used Structural Grasp on it. His eyes went wide with the information he recieved.

"Zelretch's Jewelled Sword?! Why is that thing here?!!" he complained to no one in particular.

The monster then thrusted it's hips towards him and performed what could be called a 'hipcheck'. But it physically hit nothing as it was too far away from the boy.

"Wait, was that i-" he didn't get to finish the sentence as he felt like getting hit by speeding truck to the point that not just his body screaming in pain, he was pretty sure that it was so painful that reached his very soul and existence...

Meanwhile, in The Wandering Sea – Novum Chaldea...

A certain Archer in red was making his way towards the kitchen counter to hand out more of today's batch for lunch.

"Archer, more of this please" a King in a white and blue dress asked as she was just about to finish her 5th plate. Truly a gluttonous lion.

"Alright, coming rig-" the Archer was suddenly flung across the entire cafeteria and went through the room's walls.

"Archer?" The king looked up from her plate expecting to receive her 6th serving, but only to see a man shaped hole going through the walls.

Fuyuki City - Emiya Residence...

"Pu-ha~, nothing like a good drink after a busy day in the in my part time job." A fit man with blue hair said after opening and drinking the first can of alchol.

"That we can agree on, and Shirou~ im starvinngggg..." a tiger on her mid-twenties- "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A TIGER!" agreed with the man on the topic of a drink.

"Already there Fuji-nee, also Lancer do limit yourself on drinking alch-" he flew out the house through the human shaped hole he made...

"SHIROU!/Bōzu?" one exclaimed, the other confused.

Mount Enzou Caverns...

The Faker slowly walked up behind her. Finishing his speech about his Reality Matble.

"Sorry, but you'll have to keep me company, atleast until ive run out of bla-" suddenly the Faker was sent flying throughout his own Reality Marble, the twin-tailed blonde was left baffled and could only mutter...

"What?"

Countless other Emiya Shirou's has also suffered the same fate without knowing the cause, but one thing was for sure. The maniacal laugh of amusement from an old Grandpa can be heard whilst they were in the air.

AN:

No one escapes the Plesioth's Hipcheck, especially the MHFU one.( Well unless you got evade 2 or a block I guess lol)

I think I probably made a lot of mistakes here, especially with referring to Shirou in third person and a couple of repeated words over and over and the fight scene with Plesioth.( As this is also my firstime doing something like this) And im pretty damn sleepy so whatever I suppose.

I apologize for that, i think i can attribute it to me not having a large vocabulary, but eh I hope it's enough. And honestly this chapter is quite confusing to write and read, but fuck it ill upload it anyway since im not gonna write anytime soon.

I'll probably only have 5 chapters I want to make before moving on to the 'Legends of the Guild' timeline of MonHun. I wanna atleast have Shirou interact with the Ace Hunters and other characters within the main series.

Also Shirou is pretty much still not used into MHVerse, so him using Hrunting was overkill but I think it's understandable as he's pretty much jumpy due to the situation he is in. And he doesn't know where he is so I apologize if I keep emphasizing him wondering if he time travelled or still in earth but in a different location or in another world. It's confusing to read so again I apologize for that. Gonna need to straighten it out later.

Also the body and stuff, Ill need to add a few details here and there in the Prologue and first chapter to smoothen this part of the story. But for now the reason is it's Zel's Gift(the body) for Shirou to get acclimated in this world.

And also I'm pretty much gonna go ahead on go full on head canon stuff here I guess, I'll still stick to canon as close I can but ill do it my way when I think it'd fit better to have it go that way rather than sticking to canon lore of MonHun.

Until the day comes that Capcom actually gives us a proper lore story, I'll be incorporating some of the scrapped concept that Capcom had for MonHun and other fanon/theories stuff that I think might fit well into this fic. Im pretty sure this is gonna get shit on by MonHun fans but eh oh well. It's my shit story of a fic, don't read it if you dislike it. Though I could use some criticism that you think might help me improve.

Anyways that's pretty much it for now, I dont think ill be starting on the next chapter anytime soon so yeah due to adjusting to college stuff. So see ya guys next time and thanks for reading!
