Sandy closed the door behind her, as fast as she could, as she answered her brother's call. Her face was red and her breath labored. Randy raised one of his brows as he looked at her questioningly.

"I didn't hear anything fer so long, after ya went in there, that I figured ya were dead." He laughed as he stared his sister down, now seeing through her earlier lies. "Well I gotta hand it ta ya!" He continued laughing as he turned away from her and made his way back into the living room. "You women really do yer best negotiating in the bedroom." He then sat on the couch and looked back at his sister, who was visibly upset, and winked at her. He wasn't too worried anymore, though, now that he was pretty sure he knew her full dirty little secret.

Sandy stomped up to him, now fuming. "Randy, please…" She gritted her teeth while looming over him. "I've put my neck on the line for ya, again, so the least ya can do is-"

Randy lifted a finger to her lips, to stop her mid-sentence. "Your neck or his-"

Sandy grabbed her brother's hand, and pushed it away while interrupting him. "I am trying ta help you, Randy!" She spat in anger causing her brother to withdraw his teasing and look down in contemplation. "The least ya can do is cut out yer vulgar comments, and sarcasm!"

The brown furred male kept looking down, and nodded his head in agreement. "I'll try." He sighed in embarrassment. "Sorry." He whispered to his sister as she pulled back her stance while trying to cool down her current frustration with her sibling. After a moment of staring down at him, while he continued to look away in submission, she finally sat down next to him.

Randy then looked up at his sister disappointed. "Can ya at least stop lying ta me then?" He asked before looking back down at his lap.

Sandra wrapped an arm around his shoulder, and pulled her reluctant brother into her embrace. "Fair enough." She stated before kissing his cheek and leaning her head on his shoulder. "Shadow and I…" She paused for a moment while clicking her tongue and shifting around in her seat.

Sandy glanced up at him as he looked down at her. "Yeah?" Randy questioned while gripping his sister's free hand gently. She returned his hand squeeze as she looked at him with a guilty face.

"I love him." She whispered almost inaudible.

"WHY?" Randy demanded as his gentle face became engulfed in confusion.

Sandy pushed her face into his shoulder in what he thought was a pathetic attempt to hide from his current line of questioning. "It's so hard ta… explain." She muttered to her twin sibling.

"Try me." Randy stated almost as a challenge while watching his strong sister melt before his eyes.

Just as Sandy opened her mouth to respond to him the tall spikey headed man exited the bedroom. Sandy pulled away from Randy as the black hedgehog walked into the room and gave Randy menacing glare.

"Close family." The taller male growled in a deep voice.

Sandy frowned as she stood up and placed a hand on the hedgehog's shoulder. "Hey now." She said lightly in an attempt to deescalate the current tension in the air.

Randy placed both of his arms on the backrest of the couch behind him. He crossed his legs and smirked at the realization that the other man was upset over the two siblings embracing each other. "Don't worry. I didn't use my tongue." Randy breathed in a seductively sarcastic tone.

"Randy!" Sandy yelled while her boyfriend's face went white in disbelief.

Randy held his hands up in front of him in a defensive manner while uncrossing his legs. "Sorry! Sorry!" He professed while trying his damnedest not to laugh. Randy then stood up, off the charcoal blue colored couch, and held a hand out to his male host. "I'm Randy, Sandy's obnoxious, but handsome, brother."

The other male looked down at Randy's hand and then to Sandy. The bigger man sighed as he looked back at Randy tiredly, but accepted his hand with a strong grip. "Shadow." The hedgehog replied.

A small cocky grin returned to Randy's face. "Wow…" He breathed heavily for a moment. "You're parents are mean. I mean Shadow-" Randy went silent as he saw the piercing angry eyes of his sister fixated on him. "It's a great name! Very manly!" Randy coughed briefly while trying to save face.

"I think we should all call it an early night. It's been a long day." The female in the group chimed in getting a nod of approval from her not-so-talkative friend. "Maybe ya should take a shower tonight Randy. Shadow gets first dibs in the mornings because he has to leave fer work."

"I could always take one after I get up later." Randy offered as he watched Shadow walk down the hall and disappear with the mutt from hell following close behind.

"OH NO!" His sister laughed. "Yer getting up at 6 AM with us, and we're going to get right ta work finding ya a job, and figuring out what it's going to take to get ya in another place." Sandy then slapped her brother's shoulder and grinned before walking away. "Nice try, though!" She shouted back at him.

Randy stared blankly towards the now empty hall after his sister followed Shadow into his room. "Guess me taking up her bed isn't really an inconvenience for them after all." He thought to himself as he sat back down on the couch
