Tatsumi in the World of SMG4: Night to Remember Episode Six: Retracing Steps Part Four: A Dire Situation

Chapter Synopsis: Uh oh. What have we done?!

The trip back to their hotel room was not very eventful as they had hoped. But no one is to blame after what had just transpired. "Man, what are we gonna do now?" Lubbock questioned to his friend after feeling quite calm than before.

"Searching for any more clues of Course," Tatsumi answered back to him.

"Mario's never gonna buy Sake again. Mario's never gonna buy Sake again." They heard Mario repeat those words on their way back to their hotel room. "Mario's never gonna buy Sake again. Mario's never gonna buy Sake again—"

"Okay, okay, we understand Mario!" Tatsumi said, getting irritated of his words.

"Oh sorry!" Mario said.

"You know what irritates me is that my 'wife' was going to give us another clue, she could have taken us to where Wave would be," Lubbock stated.

"I know, but maybe we can find another clue that will lead us to Wave." Tatsumi said.

"But hopefully it's not a condom or else Wave boi would get into serious trouble with Kurome…" Mario said as he thought of that scenario.

"Or worse, Kurome asking Stylish to make her a replica of Yatsufusa…" Tatsumi said with a bit of dread heard in his voice.

The three arrived at his suite and upon entering they heard music to which they became alert. "Hey, did someone break into our room?" Lubbock asked as he heard the song.

"If so, then they don't know what this red boy is capable of." said Mario with boxing gloves.

"Stay alert"! Tatsumi said.

The three of them walked slowly and went to where the music was coming from. "Who's there?" Tatsumi asked.

Tatsumi went to look inside one of the rooms and saw that there was a man playing on the piano and Mario instantly recognized him. "Miyamoto?" Mario asked.

"Shhh, here comes the best part." Miyamoto said as the song 'Jump up, Superstar' was played.

The boys liked how the music sounded so Miyamoto approached them while they sang the song and then Miyamoto took the opportunity to hit Mario and knock him unconscious. "Mario!" Tatsumi said and he checked to see how Mario is.

"Hey, what's your problem?!" Lubbock asked, annoyed at what the Nintendo Director did to his friend.

"Want to know what my problem is?! You morons broke into the Nintendo office and stole Super Mario Galaxy 3 HD Deluxe!" Miyamoto exclaimed with his arms up in the air while having his eyes bugging out of it.

"Isn't that video game lying on the floor? RIGHT beside your foot?" Lubbock said pointing to the said game on the ground.

Miyamoto proceeded to pick him up from the ground and check that he was alright. "Oh, I finally found you my precious!" Miyamoto said while hugging his prize. "You're lucky I found it in perfect condition."

"Yeah, whatever, now you can get out of our suite before we beat the crap out of you!" Tatsumi said cracking his knuckles.

"Not so fast. You also owe me 20 million Yen for stealing the game and causing damages as well." Miyamoto said threatening the boys.

"Pffft, and what will you do if we don't?" Lubbock said mockingly.

"Or else I'll blow them up with my coconut gun!" said Lawyer Kong who appeared behind the three of them and was holding said gun.

"LAWYER KONG?!" Mario shouted as he instantly recognised him after regaining consciousness. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? WE HAD AN AGREEMENT, REMEMBER?!"

"Wait, you know this guy?" Lubbock asked his fat friend.

"Yeah, we do. And you two would have been ceased to exist if you were around during that time," The Lawyer Ape informed them. "But that is not the only threat we have in store."

"Besides so they don't refuse to pay me, we have your friend Wave as a hostage," Miyamoto said.

The three of them widened their eyes upon hearing such a revelation.

"Y-You have Wave?!" Tatsumi said angrily that they have taken his friend hostage.

"That's right. And if you don't give me the 20 million Yen, don't expect to see his head in a box for you." Miyamoto said with a threatened manner.

The three of them found themselves between a rock and a hard place and they had no other choice. It was that or see Kurome crying and everyone turning against them.

"F-Fine you win. We'll give you your damn 20 million yen!" Tatsumi said clenching his fist.

"Well said. You have until dawn to make the exchange and here you have my number when you have the money." Miyamoto said throwing a card with his number to Tatsumi and then leaving with Lawyer Kong.

"We'll be waiting for you." Lawyer Kong said to the rhythm of DK rap before leaving.

The boys stood there in silence as they processed what had just happened. None of them had no idea what to do.

Twenty Million Yen at Dawn?

That seems to be very impossible to gain.

"What are we supposed to do, guys?" Lubbock asked his friends as he saw how dire the Situation had become. "We don't have exactly twenty million Yen!"

"We cannot just leach off from SMG4 and the Mushroom Kingdom. You know how illegal it'll be?" Tatsumi reminded them.

"We so f**ked!" The string user said.

"Um, guys…." Everyone turns towards Mario who had somehow received a text on his phone. "I got a text from an unknown user."

This surprises everyone as they turn towards him. "What is it?" The armoured user asked the red idiot.

Mario then proceeded to read out the text. "It says here that there is an underground Fight Club Tournament that anyone is allowed to enter and win fifty million Yen. Also, I am invited somehow."

"Where is the exact location?" Tatsumi asked his friend as he got a bit interested in it.

"Well..." Mario said as he continued to read the text.

C

"Are you sure this is it, Mario?" Tatsumi asked.

"According to the message here it would be the tournament" said the Italian looking at his cell phone.

From the message that Mario had received, the boys had to go to Shinjuku and arrived at a manga store.

"Man, it reminds me of Lubb's bookstore. By the way, Lubb, what happened to your bookstore?" Tatsumi asked the pervert.

"Well, I had to close it when we moved here and now, I plan to reopen it in this world." Lubbock said.

"Oh okay, and the message says something about entering the underground place?" Tatsumi asked.

"Well... here it says that you have to tell the seller the password," said Mario.

"And what is the password?" Lubbock asked.

"Pee pee poo poo." replied Mario.

Tatsumi and Lubbock rolled their eyes at the password. "What kind of password is that?!" they both thought, although in the end they didn't give it much importance if that was the password.

The three entered the store and approached the salesman.

"Can I help you with anything?" said the store clerk.

"Ehem... Pee pee poo poo?" said Mario.

Both the seller and the three remained silent believing that this was not the password.

"Oh, so you guys came for the tournament. Follow me this way" said the vendor and then entered the back door to which the three followed him and went down some stairs until they reached some curtains.

"Well, here make sure you get out alive because there is strong competition" said the seller and then went back to his work.

The three of them looked at each other before going through the curtains and...

What they found was really dumbfounding to say the least.

They were all expecting to be an actual fight. But not a Beyblade Battle as there were many that were battling against the Champion who seemed to be very wealthy due to his hair being long and tidy and wore some sort of wealthy Japanese Attire.

"Okay. When it says a Fight Club, I didn't think it would be that kind of fight!" Lubbock shouted as he saw what was transpiring.

"Beyblades?" Tatsumi said to himself before looking at Mario. "Say, don't you have one in your pocket from the previous time that you became addicted to it?"

Oh, you're right." Mario reached into his pockets and found his Beyblade which had a spaghetti and mushroom design. "I always carry it."

"So, we leave it to Mario?" Lubbock said showing some distrust.

"Mario is the only one who has those things, and we have no knowledge of this game. So yes, we leave it to Mario." Tatsumi said and looked at Mario. "Mario, remember that Kurome and Wave's wedding is in your hands. So, don't lose for anything in the world."

"Don't worry, Tatsumi. I assure you that Wave boi will be with his dear flat che- Kurome." Mario said correcting himself.

Ignoring the latter, Tatsumi gave Mario a confident smile. "Well, now let's go sign you up."

The three went to the registration table and Mario signed the papers to be one of the 16 participants.

"Well, now we'll have to wait for Mario's round," said Lubbock. And so, the three of them watched the rounds, and for Tatsumi and Lubbock it was boring, so it was just spinning the Beyblade and waiting for it to knock down the opponent's Beyblade, just that.

On the other hand, for Mario and the other spectators it was something epic for them to the point of screaming and shaking, and then after several rounds it was Mario's turn.

"C'mon, Mario!" You got this!" Tatsumi said while cheering for his friend.

"So, you're my opponent?" The reptilian male otaku Blader asked before pulling his Bye out. "Well, let's Beyblade?!"

"Oh, hell yeah!" Mario exclaimed as he too pulled out his Bey.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" The Announcer Spoke. "We have two Bladers and only won could move to the next around. Who is ready to watch the next round?!" He heard the people cheering at this. "Well, here is your mark…THREE!"

"TWO!" The crowds cheered one.

"ONE! /One." Both Bladers and Assassins said. The latter was being Sarcastic as they had seen this many times now and it proved to be very boring to say the least.

"LET IT RIP!" Both Mario and the Otaku Blader said and launched their bays into the small stadium.

And so, the rounds went by. Mario's Beyblade turns and turns until he knocked down the opponent's beyblade, as well as making crashing sounds with their mouths as if they were children.

"Yeah boiiii!" Mario said after winning his Match.

And it got to the point of taking all the attention of the people in the place. On the other hand, Tatsumi and Lubbock, despite being a simple toy game, began to find it entertaining and fun.

And then came the final round against the champion...

Mario and the others just blinked their eyes upon seeing who the Champion was. At the opposite side to where Mario was a little girl who wore some sort of exquisite white Kimono and had shoulder length white hair with knots tying both of her braids. "You're…the Champion?" Mario asked with a confused expression.

She didn't seem to be bothered with the Italians words. "Of course, I am! I hosted this event to give some of my money away because I see no reason why."

"Oh great," The Italian uttered. "You're those kids from a wealthy Japanese Family. Least you showed some empathy towards others."

"Thank you for your kind words, Sir!" The girl with the White kimono said while smiling at him. Her then then had a determined look on her face. "Now then…" She placed her Bey on her launcher and knelled down to the small stadium. "Shall we see who has the best bey then?"

"HELL YEAH!" Mario answered to her while using the voice of Anthony Padilla from Smosh.

Back to where the audience was, both assassins looked at each other as they already knew who was about to win. "Mario's gonna win. Isn't he?"

"Yep." Tatsumi replied to his friend's words while popping at the'p'.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" The Announcers spoke through the microphone. "This is the final match between the newcomer, Mario, and the undefeated Beyblader Champion, Ryka Minkoswana, is about to begin. Let's see who gets to keep Fifty million Yen! Are you ready?!"

"YYYYYEAAAAHHHH!" The audience cheered in anticipation.

"THREE!" The Announcer spoke through the microphone while holding three fingers.

"TWO!" Ryka said as she had her bey ready.

"ONE!" Mario shouted with a childlike demeanour as he too was in position.

"LET IT RIP!" Both Bladers shouted as they had their Beys in their stadium and as the two toys met, the sound of a loud cling was heard. This made the Stadium move to the left side and the battle raged on.

With the sound of both Beyblades colliding, they both looked at each other with defiant gazes.

"Let's go, let's go!" Mario said mentally.

After some time passed, both Beyblades kept colliding and spinning.

"Oh, it seems that the combat is getting quite intense" said the announcer watching the duel.

And then, without warning... Mario's Beyblade flipped over.

For Tatsumi, Lubbock and Mario it seemed that time had stopped for them. As Mario watched as his still spinning bey was about to hit the ground and then lose, he went into footage as a crying Kurome and SMG4 only let him down.

"No, NOT NOW!" Mario said desperately.

And with a movement of desperation, Mario hits the table causing his Beyblade to rise again and then pick up momentum and knock down Ryka's Beyblade.

...

...

...

Everyone in the place was silent about what had happened and the announcer with the intention of breaking the silence prepared to announce the winner.

"Ladies and gentlemen, after some intense combat, Mario is our winner tonight!" the announcer said making everyone praise Mario.

Mario was stunned for a few seconds by his sudden movement. "Did I... win?"

"Of course, you do, Mario!" said Tatsumi who put his arm on Mario's shoulder as he and his friend went over to where he was after the match as ended.

"Damn fat man, and I thought you were up to no good!" Lubbock said.

Then Mario made a swag face. "That's right, Mario is the f**king Beyblade master!"

The three of them also noticed that Ryka had a grim expression and was looking down.

"Emm... hey you know in life you have to lose some-"

"Congratulations on winning, I really enjoyed it." Ryka said now with a smile.

The three of them blinked several times at Ryka's sudden expression.

"Umm... good game too," said Mario.

"I want to be friends with her too, if you want." Ryka said.

"No problem, Mario can be your friend." Mario said with a thumbs up.

"Emm...sorry if I interrupt your friendly moment, but do you remember why we came here in the first place?" Tatsumi said.

"Oh right, Wave boi!" Mario exlaimed, remembering why he was here in the first place.

"Do they need the money for something?" Ryka asked.

"Debts," Lubbock said.

"Oh understandable." Ryka said. "Well, I hope that some of us will see each other again, Mario."

"Okay dookie." Mario said with a smile.

And then, they gave the 50-million-yen prize to Mario for later...

After a heart-warming goodbye between the two finalists, the trio then decided to head outside the bookstore. Mario was carrying a suitcase that contained his prize and were ready to repay their debts. Tatsumi then gotten his phone and dialled the number that he was given. "Hey. We got your money. Tell us where you want to meet."

"Good to know about that," The voice of the Nintendo Director was heard through his call, "Meet me at the Rooftop Bar at Toranomon Hills and we'll have the deal settled. Remember, you do not have long left as dawn is about to come."

"As you wish," With that, Tatsumi ended the call. He looked over at his two friends and told them about their next move. "C'mon. We better get Wave before his wedding starts."

Preview: With the money now in our possession, all that's left is to meet up with the Nintendo Character and hopefully get our friend, Wave, back before the wedding. We'll have to see next time in Tatsumi in the World of SMG4: Night to Remember!
