Author's note: I don't own anything relating to the characters of resident evil. I only own Andromeda. Please enjoy. Also big thanks to Rego a friend from discord for going over this and checking it out.
Ada reloaded her gun swiftly and she then holstered it. She took out her shotgun reloading it too, doing her regular maintenance on the weapon before moving on; Andromeda did the same with her weapons.
"You know, I see you more than I see Leon," Ada commented, with a fond look on her face. Andromeda just raised an eyebrow as Ada received the extra arrows that the white-haired woman had grabbed for her.
"That is too bad Ada, Leon's got a pretty face." Andromeda muttered as she flicked her knife out to sharpen it.
"So do you, Andromeda…" Andromeda rolled her eyes.
"But I'm not head over heels in love with you like Leon is," Andromeda replied as she sheathed her knife and that made Ada stand up straight; Ada was exceptionally versed in knowing which buttons to push, even better than Andromeda.
"No, because you are in love with Wesker." Ada countered, this made Andromeda scoff.
"I am not in love with Wesker," Andromeda snapped, but even she had to admit it did not sound very convincing. Andromeda and Wesker had been working together for years, the partnership she had with Ada was on-and-off, mostly when she just happened to run into her, but it was not a constant occurrence. Andromeda always worked on the same side, but the blue-eyed woman trusted that if she were not, she would not hesitate to move past it. However, Andromeda and Wesker were aligned.
The Pair always had been…
"You can't lie to me," Ada spoke, noticing that Andromeda had gone quiet.
"I most definitely can Ms Wong! We lie to each other all the time…" Andromeda looked over herself, making sure that everything was where it should be. It all looked to be in order, Ada just rolled her eyes.
"Not about the important things." She replied,
"You consider my love life important, but not global extermination?" Andromeda asked, laughing at the pure comedy of it. Ada pushed forward and opened the door.
"If it involves Wesker finally having someone to finally take the stick out of his ass, then yes it's important," Ada commented.
"I thought you didn't like Wesker," Andromeda replied, flickering her flashlight around the dark room.
"I do not, but I don't like anyone." Ada replied
"You like Leon Kennedy." Andromeda teased
"Stop deflecting, we have work to do!" Ada deflected the comment whilst Andromeda just rolled her eyes and took out her shotgun. Ada was correct, their love lives were not the priority here, but Andromeda noticed Ada always had a way of making the conversation about something other than the awful things that the pair of them had to face.
"Alright, alright," Andromeda replied as she held up her gun. "Move Aside."
Ada smiled.
"No."

Andromeda put her hair up in a loose ponytail as she walked into the small place Wesker was holding up in. It made Andromeda miss the mansion, it was too small, and it did not fit him at all. Andromeda managed to reside here for a couple of weeks already. The huntress would rather have a shitty place to stay for longer periods of time, than a nice place to stay for only a day.
"How is Ada Wong?" Wesker called through the paper-thin walls. He always knew where Andromeda was. It was creepy.
"Ada is fine… Although she's still wearing those awful heels." Andromeda muttered. The silver-haired woman started to take off the many weapons she had strapped to her and put them on the pile along with the ones that Wesker had already shed. She took off her coat and placed it down. He was silent on the other side of the wall, focused. Andromeda took off her boots and walked to the other side of the wall. He was leaning over a desk, furiously typing something into a computer.
There were vials next to him, syringes, and different chemicals Andromeda didn't understand. He was the one who dealt with those things. She stood still, silent and let him work until he spoke up.
"Did you run into any friends?" He asks, Andromeda just scoffs at the question
"What do you mean by friends?" Andromeda asked as she picked up one of the chest prototypes that he was using. He already had Jill Valentine and wanted to make sure it was ready before he dared to test it out on her.
"Did you run into the Redfields?" He asks again, Andromeda rolls her eyes.
"I did not. Good thing too, Chris can kill me," Andromeda replied. He lifted his head and turned to look at Andromeda. He was not wearing his glasses; they were tossed onto the side of the desk.
"Chris couldn't kill you. He liked you too much." Wesker replied coldly.
"Chris liked Jill and then you killed Jill," Andromeda commented back "Or at least he thought you did."
"Why do you continue to bring that up?" He asks
"Because Jill owes me twenty dollars that I will never get," Andromeda said absentmindedly. Andromeda picked up one of the papers that Wesker had on one of the tables. It had details about things she didn't understand but she still tried to read it. Andromeda didn't want to know what was going on.
Wesker just grew silent again. Andromeda placed the paper back on its pile and walked over to the desk and took out the medical supplies that she kept there. She had gotten a few cuts that needed to be attended to. Andromeda sat on the chair and removed her bulletproof vest, it was then followed by her blood-stained shirt, revealing the injuries that she had sustained.
Wesker glanced over at her and then back at his work. He wasn't sure if Andromeda was trying to distract him on purpose, but it was working. Andromeda tried to give him his space, tending to herself in content silence. He watched as she attempted to wrap a bandage around her right shoulder with a wince. He looked down at his papers then rolled his eyes, standing up.
"You should learn how to do that properly," he said, taking the bandage from Andromeda forcefully and it caused her to scoff.
"I can do it!" She argued.
"No," He replied, pulling up the chair behind him so he could sit in front of her. "You can't." Andromeda looked up, her thoughts were elsewhere as he tended to her wounds.
"When are you going to learn that just because I'm a mere mortal, doesn't mean I can't do things on my own… We're partners, Wesker." He looked up and met her pale blue eyes, securing the knot he just made tightly.
Andromeda didn't wince…
"We were partners Andromeda," he stated referring to her time as a S.T.A.R.S Member. "So were Jill and Chris. Now, look at them." Andromeda rolled her eyes, moving her shoulder around to stretch it.
"So, can I leave?" Andromeda queried.
Wesker had a rare, surprised expression on his face at what she said.
"Do you want to leave?" His tone remained neutral as ever, but there was a slight tinge of concern in his voice that only someone very close to him would even notice.
"If we aren't partners, then why not?"
"I get what you're trying to do Andromeda, but it doesn't matter." He stood up. "You won't leave me." Andromeda stood up as well. She was in a mood to challenge him.
She hadn't done that in a fat minute.
"How can you be so sure? I could walk out that door and never come back. I could work with Ada Wong or hell; I could find Chris and take up a job with him," she suggested "Chris would love to see me."
"Stop toying with me. We have work to do." He replied, clearly agitated.
"Can you get it done without me?" She inquired.
"Yes, of course, I can," he insisted but not even he believed that, and it showed in his slight hesitation. He honestly didn't know what he could do without her. Andromeda had been a part of his plan since the very beginning. She was his partner, he never wanted to leave her behind and she was strong enough to never be a weak spot or liability.
"Alright then," Andromeda said, picking up her old leather jacket, "Mail Chris my sunglasses." Wesker then grabbed her arm tightly. Andromeda had been tempting the line between a joke and something serious. Andromeda didn't regret it. Wesker needed to be tempted occasionally, to keep him as humble and grounded as could be.
"Why must you be so infuriating?" He asked. To Andromeda, it seemed like a genuine question, as if he was also trying to figure it out.
"It keeps you sane," Andromeda answered, it was then he grabbed her chin with his gloveless hand. Andromeda looked up at him, and he couldn't help himself… He kissed her.
It was a wonder that he had never done it before.
It was brief but fueled by years of emotion on both ends…
"Go run to Chris Redfield then," Wesker said offhandedly. Andromeda was so shocked he had kissed her, and she didn't have a rebuttal. Andromeda went to grab his arm, but his reflexes made him move fast enough away from her. She leaned forward anyway and kissed him again. She stumbled into him, but he caught her expertly, not losing his balance at all.
Andromeda pulled away and he brushed a lock of her hair out of her face.
"What, don't you want to leave now?" he asks her
"I don't appreciate this kind of manipulation Albert." She told him.
Albert Wesker couldn't help but smile.
"I knew you weren't going anywhere, Andromeda."
