I.M.P. Office
In the middle of the day, Blitz was getting a visitor from an old friend.
An ex, actually.
"Hold up, why on earth will I help you?" Blitz is displease, and asked Verosika's request.
"Because of the whole freaking spring break incident," Verosika is bringing back old memories which had happened almost a year ago. "My popularity is on the verge of being ruined by pigs barging in for arrest."
"Why not just suck a lot of pig-dick to solve your problem?" Blitz called out Verosika's problems.
"No, and, Fuck you! I'm paying you to work as my security!" Verosika requested. "Any cops tries to barge into my stage, or get us arrested, you guys will be there fucking blowing their heads off!" Verosika explained the mission plan for Blitz and I.M.P. group.
"We're assassins, not your personal securities." Blitz gives an excuse. "And I'll never work with you, or any of your whores, so continue sucking lots of dicks-" Blitz and Verosika were interrupted by a door knock.
Coming into the Blitz's room is someone Verosika met two days ago. Her heart struck into a surprise from seeing the overlord of cuteness coming in the room.
"Oh, i'm sorry, I'll come back-" Hughes was about to leave the room until Blitz stopped him.
"Wait, Hughes! Just the man I wanted to see!" Blitz let Hughes into the room for a better way of getting him out. "Verosika, please see yourself out, succu-bitch!" Blitz flipped her off as she was leaving.
"Umm… Sorry- I- I actually think it's a good opportunity to… um working with… Miss Verosika, Blitz!" Hughes nervously makes his suggestion after what he heard from his side of the building.
Blitz stopped Hughes from making the worst decision from Verosika and his suggestions.
"Hughes, this is something we don't do with the celebrities-"
"And yet, Stolas, who asked for an escort, is not?"
"That's fucking different-" Hughes gave his files. "What's this?" Blitz asked, looking at the numbers.
"This is the expense your corporation will make if you can bargain with Miss Verosika. Including a little… bonus." Hughes pointed at the last listing.
"What? What does it-" Blitz eyes were sparkled from the best thing he may ever get a chance of earning.
"Alright! Let's work for these fucking cum-dumpsters!" Blitz yelled loud and proud.
Blitz dragged Hughes in order to settle the bargain.
"Alright! Cunts and broads! I've come here to bargain!" Blitz walked into the darkened music studio across his part of the building. "We will accept you as our clients! However, payment should be settled for both parties!" Blitz said his ideal terms.
All of the succubi looked at Verosika who requested a commission from Blitz. Verosika and everyone laughed at Blitz actually wanting to work with each other.
"Oh~ So really are you on board?" Verosika talked in a sinister, yet flirtatious, tone at the little imp. "Okay, then what sort of bargain, Blitzo?" She asked me to lean in for the height difference.
"Every album you make would immediately go straight into the market in both human world and Hell, and since we are going to be making sure all police aren't getting your way, so with our payment you are willing to give us we can accept. But for every profit the album makes between worlds, we want ten percent of the cut!"
"How about seven-" Verosika.
"Six, for a month!" Blitz.
"Five percent, for a week!" Verosika.
"Done! Boom! We're in business, bitch!" Blitz cheered for the best opportunity he will get.
"... Dumbass." Verosika blurted out before leaving.
I.M.P. Conference Meeting
"Alright! Listen up!" Blitz gathered all of I.M.P. crew in the conference room. "This is our gameplan!" Blitz draws his plan.
"If every security guard gets into our territory we will murdered them backstage! We gathered them into pieces once we cut them, burned their bodies, and then got our cash!" Blitz explained every part of the plan.
"Why is it that every time we do something, it's always an abridged version, and maybe will go down hill?" Moxxie explained the previous plan.
"Now, look!" Blitz stopped him for a second. "This is gonna be completely different, Mox!" Blitz pointed out the ridicule.
"Hey, so can I join you guys this time?" Loona asked the whole group.
"No, absolutely not! I forbid, sweetheart!" Blitz rejects Loona's request.
"But I'm the only one with a human disguise," Loona mentioned. "And if I remember, neither of you have disguise… after the spring break crisis." Loona brought back the memories of almost a complete failure.
"Dammit, you're right!" Blitz and everyone still hadn't got their disguises or even thought about them. "But we're gonna have to be more cautious with our stealth, and being focused, Looney!" Blitz implicated Loona for making a mistake a year ago.
"Alright! This time I'll pay attention!" Loona yelled. "So, where's this at?" Loona asked.
"This Friday, we'll be working inside a vendor spot at a fair in Minnesota."
An ear twitched from the location.
Hughes knew where they were going.
"The Winter Moon Festival!" Hughes yelled silently.
The Winter Moon Festival is still going around the time. A little delay, but the winter lights would still be ongoing before the full moon. Like any festival they would host rides, games, and even special events. And since it's around the Wolf Moon, in the strike of midnight all lights would go off, and the moon lit up with the northern lights. It's like the start of the new year all over again. Hughes hadn't been there for almost his ten years of living as a human. What he liked the most was being with both of his parents when the three of them participated together. Now, he's not going to participate again since he is not willing to go on an assassin mission.
"Wow… What are the odds…?" Hughes questioned himself. Hughes looked over at the calendar seeing it was the final event when the first full moon rose along the evening stars.
"Alright, then it's settled!" Blitz shouted kicking down the door.
Hughes went back typing his computer until Blitz went up towards Hughes.
"Good news, Hughes!" Blitz gave Hughes the keys to the office. "You will be in charge of taking care of things here this Friday! The four of us are going to a festival!"
Hearing Blitz bragging about the mission the four of them were going to participate in made Hughes a little down. They will go to a festival Hughes hadn't gone to for ten years.
It would be nice if he can go along with them.
"... Sounds great!" Hughes gave his comment.
As everyone is getting things ready, Hughes was the only one thinking about being the only person in the office alone.
Friday- Verosika's Concert
And so, a few days have passed and the mission is about to begin. Blitz and crew met up at the vendor spot far from the festival making sure no police were interrupting the scene. Being security is a big risk for I.M.P The last time they took a job as bodyguards was escorting Stolas and his daughter at Loo Loo Land, which burned to the ground because of Blitz's feud with a robotic clown.
"Okay, so this is how we're gonna do this…" Blitz gave Loona a list of people from their clients. "Looney, be on the front! M&M will take the high ground, and I will be scouting inside the stage."
"Yeah! Team M&M get things done! For the Money!" Millie said, hugging her husband.
"Alright! Go Team IMP!" They all split up into their positions.
The concert finally started.
Blitz took a moment for himself looking into a flier.
"Don't worry, Stallion…" Blitz rubbed the flier against his face. "Soon, you will be mine!"
Meanwhile, over at Hell, Hughes was working on paperwork. Everyone went to the concert while he was working. Hughes kept on working on each client receipt from Blitz before he can even fucked them up.
Though it was nice and quiet, it was only him who wasn't participating in the festival.
Desperately wanting to do something Hughes kept on sighing while finishing the last of the commissions account. Hughes finished everything from the office; and left earlier than he had thought. Hughes really had nothing going on.
No one to hang out, no one contacting him, and of course being home alone.
For once, he's acting his age rather than just a simpleminded mature demon.
"Sigh~~~~~~~" Hughes continued sighing with boredom.
The festival is today where there will be the first moon of January happening before midnight. At this time it's already around seven o'clock.
"Well, I can just read…" Hughes made his suggestion for himself. He locked up the building inside and closed the blinds after observing for any casualties.
Like the last time he tried reading the book it caused a huge catastrophe inside the office building. The curious cat began reading his grimoire as casual as he always has when alone. On the side of his desk there was a cigarette and coffee. These are the things when he's in the mood; Hughes would use these things to set the mood, and since no one is here, or at home, Hughes was getting the vibe going.
Sinners Appearance:
There is no true extent to a Sinner's appearance, since it's mostly based on the soul in question. Usually, a human's demon form is influenced by the human's soul, sins, or crimes. Sometimes, the form is influenced by the human's death.
Hughes took a moment looking into his own appearance through the reflection of the picture frame.
"Then why a cat?" Hughes asked himself, brushing his whiskers and looking at his right eye. "I mean… Well- I did lose this eye…" Hughes remembered a part of himself he doesn't want to remember. Hughes shook off the harsh memory and continued reading. "Guess it was meant to be." He said after.
As Hughes continued finishing the page he came across something in his curiosity. After reading through the Sinners encyclopedia, there are pages full of spells in different writings. As Hughes smeared off the letters it was written in full English. Looking through every page Hughes has stopped at one of the pages.
No way…" Hughes whispered looking into his grimoire.
"... This… This is an access to the human world…" Hughes whispered from the buoyant motion. And he even got more buoyant as he continued reading onwards. "And this… This is Human Transformation!?" Hughes blurted loudly in the quiet office.
"That it is, Hughes"
Hughes jumped out of his desk chair and fell back from Alastor's unannounced appearance.
"Would you not… Do that!" The cat tried to get up.
"Well, I've dropped by because I noticed the office lights are off, but it's only you?" Alastor said, pouring wine for two. "Something tells me they are out in the living world, and you're here reading all alone in a quiet room." Alastor explained his observation. "And for once, you're not satisfied? Because… they are out there, and you're not?" Alastor continued mocking Hughes for being all alone dissatisfied.
"What- I- Of course, I am alright!" Hughes drinking wine bit by bit. "I am A-Okay!" Hughes got the hang of being left out of the fun since he was thrown out of the house. "This is something I'm pretty much… used to! I haven't participated in anything for ten years! This is nothing!" Hughes finished his wine and switched to coffee. Hughes just wanted things done right now and headed home.
Alastor doesn't see that is what Hughes wanted.
This is the first time seeing Hughes actually want to do someth; to get something. It was obvious Hughes is being a little selfish for not going to the living world.
"And just who's stopping you?" Alastor asked to pour more wine for himself. "No one's here, they won't return until nightfall, and your office is closed." Alastor grabbed Hughes' grimoire and turned the pages where Hughes marked.
"So, why not have some fun?"
Hughes choked on his coffee from Alastor's suggestion. It is quite decisive for Hughes whether he wanted to go with them or not. Now, after reading the pages, he has the need of wanting to go.
"I-I-I-I mean, I can't!" Hughes said, closing the book. "I-I-I already activated the book, I read unnecessary things, and used the portal once for transportation…" Hughes listed all outcomes he had crossed with the grimoire so far. "I don't want to cause more problems than I already have…" Hughes pouted with his ears down.
Hughes went over to the window from the office. He looked up at the pentagram above them all day, and then fell in the evening. And it will still be there, but it will be darker than red. Everything Hughes is trying to avoid is in the deeper part of the Pride Ring. And if he really wanted to go to the Human world, Hughes may or may not be easily recognized by someone. Really all he wanted was to spend the day at a festival he hadn't gone to for a decade. Nostalgia has been hitting him right into his own feelings.
"I don't see why not!" Alastor picked up Hughes like a cat. "If anything, you deserve to go out! Especially the night of the full moon!" Alastor stepped out of the office while carrying Hughes. What was mindfucking is he literally walked through the walls like nothing. "It will be a great opportunity to practice your abilities in the world of the living! Hell, it would be more entertaining being an icon! Hahaha! Look at me, thinking you can be something more in the Human World! You'd be in quite the trouble!" Alastor's humorous attitude continued as he teleported them outside.
"It's better to be out there than being down here, do you agree?"
Hughes' ears twitched.
Hughes agreed with Alastor.
Alastor has been making a lot of pointers for Hughes since the cleansing. It gave Hughes an ocular suspicion of what Alastor's intentions are. Though he had made a point. When was the last time Hughes ever had any fun for the past month is what crossed his mind. In fact, this will probably be an opportunity to ever have fun before coming back to Hell.
"... Okay!" Hughes boosted his self-esteem.
"I'll get cleaned up! I'll be sure I got everything! And then-" Hughes was soon interrupted and looked back at Alator. "What's the catch?" Hughes was done holding his question.
Alastor stares with confusion.
"Okay, for a while you've been encouraging me, so what really is your angle?" Hughes asked stare intensely at Alastor for his suggestion.
Alastor stood there with a smile and then put up a laugh slowly.
"Why, for entertainment!" Alastor answered. Probably the only answer he will ever give to Hughes. "As I said before, I am voluntarily giving you my support! I want to see just how far you are willing to go, for your own desire!" Alastor admitted his intentions. "Amongst all Sinners, you have something more within you, Hughes. And you are the only one who doesn't see it…" Alastor stepped out of the parking lot.
"You may think there's nothing you want, but let's face Hughes… Everyone always wants something they will never get." Alastor skipped down the road.
Despite how Alastor can be as said in the description from Hughes' eyes, Alastor does have a point. Even though he is there for support, it doesn't exactly mean he can be trusted. Hughes is taking the liberty of Alastor being a possible ally or maybe even comrade. Hughes hadn't had any of those for a while.
This may be something more than just a break.
Later, Hughes started taking a breather. He inhales and then exhales. Breathing in and breathing out. Hughes is closely reading the grimoire in an empty alley.
Like Alastor had mentioned a few days ago, all Hughes had to do is just think clearly on where his location will be in the State of Minnesota, and the Winter Moon Festival.
The portal opened up in front of Hughes' eyes before he could step in.
One step at a time, Hughes slowly tiptoes into the alley and looks from the other side.
In Hughes eyes was something he hadn't seen before, and it was something he hadn't seen for a very long time.
"Mama… Papa… We're here." Hughes said to himself.
Hughes stepped back into the shadows before the crowd of people recognized a cat walking like a human being, that's something people wouldn't want to accept. Hughes looked at himself, as promised, he is somewhat cleaned up for this event. He dressed in his casual clothing of bow, suspenders, and dark slacks with shoes. The problem of his appearance is will he pull it off as a human. Prosthetic arms hadn't been developed in technological advancements. Yet, some of the people literally take robotics to make great developments for the human body, and even as the hope of the future.
All Hughes wanted to try is being human again.
"Okay… Okay…" He said to himself.
Hughes put a full concentration on turning human.
And so, he transforms.
Hughes closed his eyes while transforming into a human being. He opened his eyes, witnessing the most important part of his life.
Looking into the mirror outside of the building, Hughes sees his old self. Hughes looked at his dark brown hair tied up with a ponytail, his right eye being covered up from his hair, and his face which any cutie would want to grab their hands on. Hughes' height was exactly how it should be; a regular young adult with the height of 5ft' 6'in. At least Hughes thought that should be his normal height than his normal height back in Hell (3'ft 7'in). Next was his limbs, it still feels mechanical, but it's covered in literal flesh. And lastly, the attire he was wearing transformed as well. His suit, tie, suspenders, even shoes, are all the right sizes for his height.
"I'm… I'm… Me… I'm me again…" Hughes wanted to cry, but there's no time for that. "Haha… this is so awesome!" Hughes jumped up in the air. His enthusiasm got him pumped up for an adventure in the Winter Moon Festival. This is his chance to relive his childhood nostalgia.
"Alright! Let's go have some fun!"
Bad Timing
Meanwhile, the concert was going so far and so well. There hadn't been any cops detected, however there were a few crazy fans who couldn't stop trying to grab Verosika on stage. Luckily, some of her crew are sure to quiet down the crowd along with Vortex and Loona who are covering the front of the stage. Almost at the same time, they were making a mating sex scenario and protecting everyone from making a calamity. As for the imp group they made sure to be on stake out above the stage. Blitz was on watch, Millie was on sniper, and Millie was the cleanup.
Everything is going according to plan.
"Filthy holes I wasted…" Blitz commented. "Look at that, she's already doing her mating call." Blitz continued on watch while drinking his beverage.
"Sir, I don't think you should be drinking on the job." Moxxie warned his superior. "No worries, this is just some punch I got from backstage. And besides, there hasn't been any catastrophe strike." Blitz took another sip.
The two of them were casually talking from above the stage. As they were staking out, Loona and Vortex were on guard duty.
"I'm surprised you freaky boss and my boss agreed on this." Tex started a topic with Loona who was nervous.
"Oh- Yeah? I- Mean, I'm surprised too." Loona answered flustered. "If it wasn't for our accountant he would've convinced Blitz to actually be Verosika Mayday's bodyguard." Loona speaks fluently and casually. Everything is exactly how she could imagine. Talking to Vortex was really going swell until a new conversation came up.
"... Hughes?" Tex mentioned. "That guy! Hehehe… just to expect…" Tex knew this was his doing.
"What… What about him?" Loona got cautious.
"No, no, it's nothing…" Tex answered for Loona. "Just knowing that it was Hughes' idea means you guys have a lot of trust in him. He's quite the money maker if you ask me. Cool guy, a great friend you have." Tex complimented Hughes for all his amazing actions, and someone they can really rely on.
"Oh no, he's not my friend!" Loona denies the relationship status. "I mean, yeah he's good with money, but before we even knew he was good with money, he was just some cat who would do Blitz's work while he lazed around." Loona continued her thoughts about why Hughes was evcen part of I.M.P. Hughes never wanted to kill or even make money, but he just wanted to help out for their company sake.
"Really?" Tex was a bit intrigued.
"Yeah," Loona continued explaining about her coworker. "I mean, yeah, I feel a bit sorry for the kid. I mean, he could've done other things in Hell, but he just want to slave his tail on office work. I just don't get it." Loona and crew also never understood why Hughes worked for them. "If anything, he's just a pussy hiding behind the desk who doesn't want to be killed easily." Loona chuckled a little.
"Wow, that's quite the talk you got there." Tex said in surprise. "But hey, everyone has their own opinions. For me, he's quite the guy to interact with." Tex mentioned pointers for Hughes in his own opinion.
"Yeah, if you got nothing good going on." Loona said in her own opinion.
In the middle of the crowd, while the two of them were having a good conversation, Hughes was standing there listening.
Hughes wanted to check out the concert, and to see how everyone else was doing. HIs ears triggered from afar hearing a familiar voice which turned out to be Loona. Hughes was excited to meet her in the same place with a human disguise. Unfortunately, he accidentally overheard Loona talking about him. The whole conversation about Hughes being part of I.M.P is a fucking joke for her. Hell, maybe everyone sees him as the mascot who can be entrusted with just money and not friendship. Even though Hughes is just trying to live peacefully, and works with an assassin organization, all Hughes wanted out of it was making friends his own age.
Sadly, Loona has no intention of being friends whatsoever with Hughes.
All Hughes ever had were just comrades.
Comrades who just think for themselves.
Hughes stood there dispirited.
Soon, he went outside of the vendor.
And then he just went wherever without even thinking.
Verosika Mayday
And so, the concert was a huge success. There hadn't been any cops for I.M.P, but there had been some targets which needed to be killed off. So far, with both clients and being Verosika's bodyguard, I.M.P. finally got enough cash to fill in budget cuts, and of course Blitz's award.
"Blitzo~" Verosika called up Blitz's full name at the back stage, appearing in her human disguise, which was pretty much tan colored, blond/brown hair, and of course in pink dress and black boots. "So far there hasn't been any crisis, so a deal's a deal." Verosika gave Blitz's pay.
"Fuck yeah!" Blitz got really excited for the amount of cash him and his company got. "Thanks a lot, sluts! And hope to Hell, I will never work with you ever again!" Blitz said, waving his check.
"You, ass! I could've got someone else to be my bodyguard rather than you nasty ass gremlins!" Verosika strangely got mad. "I'm just impressed you haven't disappointed me more than you usually do!" Verosika blurted out towards Blitz.
"Hey, bitch! Don't get all pissy because I didn't fuck up than making a success!" Blitz pointed. "This is about me wanting to make extra cash out of your fatass!" Blitz brought out his idea plan for his marketing. "If you really needed someone, then my guess is you really should have never called me, the last person in Hell you ever ask, to do you any favors! But I did it because my focus is money and personal needs!" Blitz straightens the reasoning between the two of them.
"Of course, it's always you! Fucking shit stain of Hell is what you are!" Verosika flipped him off. "This is the last time I'm ever going ask you for commission, you fucking limp-dick of an imp!" Verosika grabbed her sakura pink colored coat as she left the building.
"Hey! You owe me five percent when your album drops, bitch!"
Blitz was done with the bullshit conversation the two of them were having. Afterwards, Blitz and his gang went back home.
As for Verosika and her crew, they all went to an after party she was hosting.
They were celebrating for their success of not having to suck any pig dicks again. They played the song, they created a mating call, and of course had a helluva success for their tour. All her posse's were getting their freak on when the party started along with the treatment of food and beverages. Hell, they even brought over some of their targets as special guests. Chances are they're going to have a orgy party. Everybody seemed to be having a good time, but one of them started to have second thoughts about the party.
"Hey, Verosika, why the long face?" Kiki asked her girlfriend who was in no mood. "We had a huge success, there were no cops, and we probably made a hit!" Kiki explained her lists of achievements they all have. This has been the best so far for the group.
"Probably thinking about Blitzo being a total d-bag!" Ace mentions Blitzo.
"Don't get him to you, girl." Choco encourages her boss.
"I don't even give two shits about what he said or thinks." Verosika said, yet she started to talk shit at the beginning. "Fucker should've at least appreciate I hired him. I had to suck up my own pride to hire that sack of shit!" Verosika starts to bring out her own personal life into the group. "It worst that I had to work across from him, now he shoving his own fucking selfish success into my face like I'm the pathetic one!" Verosika broke the glass with her own hand. After what she had done, the party was a little letdown.
"I'm sorry, girls." Verosika apologies for her frustration. "I'm going out for a bit."
Verosika stepped out of the after party at the vendor's sight.
Around nine o'clock, the whole night was settled with only a couple people. Moft of them are coming from the festival from down the path, but for Verosika it wasn't her interest. Instead, she's just walking down the trail by herself thinking about a certain memory. Probably everyone is enjoying a memory when it comes to events.
Verosika then sat down on the bench drinking her Beelzejuice. She was chugging it down like it was her last bottle. Verosika was possibly on the verge of being wasted and have sex with strangers like she would often do when being seductive. It would be a literal thought until she realized someone had been sitting beside her the entire time.
"Oh shit!" Verosika was surprised by the person beside her. "I didn't expect to see such a cutie here?" Verosika went straight to being flirtatious than she ever was. She did want to start banging someone to ease her frustrations.
"Huh…?" The boy even notice Verosika was beside him. "Oh, Miss Verosika, you're here?" the young man noticed her presence.
Verosika was a bit confused from the tone of his voice. It sounded familiar to her.
"Have I… Have we met before…?" Verosika asked, looking at the face and hearing his tone.
"Huh?" He was confused until he once again announced his name accidentally again. "I'm Hughes…! Shit!" Hughes cussed for his mistake.
"Wait… You mean… Your…?" Verosika took notice of the appearance and the tone very clearly now. Looking through that cute face is the same person she had talked to in the hallways. And now, she feels a little flustered. "Why aren't you with those fucktards?" She asked rudely.
"Huh? Oh- Um… I~ I might've…" Hughes doesn't want to talk about the book or even want to mention it. "I~ I sneaked inside the portal… Which Blitz opened!... Be- cause…. I… was… bored at the office! Yeah, So I just sneak here without them… noticing…" Hughes is completely obvious. But it didn't really matter for Verosika for how he really got here in the world of the living.
But seeing him hiding the truth is really cute.
And it was strange for her because she felt a little humorous.
"Hehe… I see…" She turned the other way, chuckling a little.
Hughes looked through the emotions Verosika is holding inside her. Honestly, Hughes was a bit scared of being with her, so in case anything happens he is willing to make an excuse and run from her.
"So, why are you here?" Hughes asked her. "Don't you have some sort of… after party?" Hughes guessed what pop stars should be doing.
"Oh~ I just needed a breather." Verosika lied. "I didn't want to waste my energy just yet. Maybe when we gather enough people to feast on. Me and my girls of course are feasting." Verosika mentions her possible planned orgy with her posse. "So, I'm just out here, making sure all of me is… perfectly one-hundred~." She gave a sexaul tone.
This is a red flag for Hughes.
To begin, Hughes did not expect one of the succubus group to be right beside him. Hughes now had to lower his depression and sex drive until it's the right timing to bail. Any longer and boom! Hughes is forever tainted by a succubus group, and will possibly be a forever sex-slave.
"Welp! I should really leave!" Hughes got up and planned to leave. "I hope everything goes well for you, Miss Verosika! Good night!" Hughes started from a regular speed walk. And then he started sprinting far away from her.
Verosika Mayday is finally alone. No one is bothering her. This silence is exactly what she needed far from everyone. Now, she's just ready to blow someone.
Yet, there's a strange feeling inside of her she can't express. It's complicated for Verosika; she hadn't felt this way for a long while. A day goes by when she get's rid of all feelings and is as free as she wants to be. But a piece of her feels broken inside of her chest. It's complicated for her to even say it. Whether she feel like being a seductive diva it doesn't fill the hole inside her heart.
Like anyone could understand what she really is going through.
"... Hey,"
A voice was called.
Verosika looked up at who it was.
As promised, she will just blow anyone who comes across.
However, her oath has changed because Hughes, who was about to leave Verosika all alone, asked an unexpected request.
"Let's go on a date…"
