Chapter 1: A New World
I couldn't believe it when I opened my eyes to see myself in a different apartment that was in a different world and most of all I was in a new body. The worst part about this all was all the memories I got rushed into my head, it hurt to see all the deaths. My father's body was found by me as he hung off the ceiling, the death of Obito, then Rin with me blowing out her back, and finally Minato.
It was so much grief that I just began to cry for people I didn't know people I watched die from the couch, I couldn't believe it that I was no longer in my former body I was a new man, I was a new person stuck in a world of hatred and grief. I was Kakashi Hatake the man whose life was nothing but grief till he retired from being a shinobi. How did it happen I wasn't certain but one thing I knew was I couldn't go back to my normal way of living. I would never see my family again as they lived in another world.
But other than that, I got off my bed as I made it, went to the bathroom, and did my rituals. After the bath, I went to the wardrobe and I took out my jonin attire. Noticing that at the back of the vest was the Uzumaki clan's symbol, it felt pretty nice to know the clan was still remembered for the things they had done. Especially since the wife of the First Hokage was an Uzumaki that was able to live for over three periods of new Hokages from the First to the Third.
It was mind-boggling how Uzumaki's had such longevity but anyway wearing my uniform I noticed my headband under my eye. I lifted it as I was in front of the mirror in the bathroom I opened my left eye to see my Sharingan staring back at me, I could feel my chakra being drained but I had to test something. Closing my eye I tried to awaken my Mangekyou Sharingan since Kakashi had always awakened it from the beginning. After what I think was five minutes of deep concentration I opened my eyes as I saw the pattern of my Sharingan change.
"Wow." Escaped my mouth to see how beautiful the pattern was in real life, my chakra was busy pouring out of my body so fast that I had to deactivate it and pull down my headband, I could feel about ¼ of my chakra was left meaning the Mangekyou was both a blessing and a curse as it could have killed me through chakra exhaustion.
I decided to stay in my apartment for a while longer since I didn't dare to walk out and into the streets of Konoha. Would you blame me though I was new to the place in the body of a jonin that was able to cut an apple in half by just adding chakra to his hand and quickly striking it?
Eating a slice of the apple I decided to make a list of goals that I had to achieve during my time in this world. Finding a piece of paper and pencil I wrote:
Prepare for the 4th Great Ninja War
Learn more about Obito and try to save him…which might be a very large task.
Make Canon go how it was planned and try to make Sasuke less of a dick rider when he's with Orochimaru.
Get a family to settle with
Retire happily as the Sixth Hokage
Sure the list was pretty standard as Kakashi did accomplish two of those which were retiring as Hokage and the 4th Ninja war. Folding the paper he pocketed it as something caught his attention, he looked up to see a calendar on the wall and most days were crossed meaning they had passed but one day was circled and it was today. That day said 'Genin Collection Day.'
Memories rushed into my head as I remembered all of the past genin I had failed just because they didn't follow Obito's Friends Before Missions rule. I stood up knowing I had to face this fear as I had to pick up my new Team since there was nothing I could do.
Walking out of the apartment I realized I was in the Shinobi District since my neighbor had walked out and he was a fellow jonin "Morning Kakashi." The man said "Morning." I replied "Genin collection day, huh go easy on em will ya." The man said as he sunshined away "I'll try." I replied as I focused my chakra the way the man did and imagined the Academy as it worked since I sunshined to the academy.
I opened my eyes to see I was outside the academy. Children were busy running around having smiles on their faces, I couldn't help but smile under my mask, walking into the building I navigated through the halls till I found the room that had an eraser on the door. "Let's do this," I muttered as I opened the door and had the eraser hit me on the head Naruto was busy laughing as Sakura was trying to say it wasn't her fault and Sasuke was just being himself.
"Meet me on the roof." I said as I sunshined away I didn't think about anything to say to them so on the roof we all sat as I spoke "Let's introduce ourselves, shall we? Who wants to go first?" I asked as Sakura spoke, "Can you give us an example."
"Sure my name is Kakashi Hatake, I am 25 years old, I became a ninja when I was five years old so you can say I have 20 years of experience, I became a Jonin when I was your age." I finished as my genin's eyes looked shocked "Woah. You've been a ninja since you were a kid." Naruto said in astonishment.
"Why was that sensei why did you become one as a kid," Sakura said confused
"It's a long story for another time. Anyway, my goal is to be able to reach all the goals I've set one of them is to be Hokage and hold that position till Naruto begs me to retire." I replied as the one part with the Hokage thing I said it so low that the three couldn't hear. as Sakura spoke "Well I'm Sakura Haruno, I like… I dislike Naruto and Ino-pig. My dream for the future is…" she finished blushing 'Fangirl Sakura just great.' I thought "Next." I said "My name is Sasuke Uchiha, I like a few things and I dislike many, you may count training as a hobby, my dream is to rebuild my clan…and kill a certain someone." there was silence as Naruto thought did Sasuke mean him and Sakura thought he was hot. "Damn well Sasuke you're going to get busy I guess." The Uchiha was confused at what I said. "What do you mean I'll get busy?"
"I mean like your acting like a dick to all the potential future wives you might get when you grow up. Rebuilding a clan isn't an easy task I tell you plus there's no CRA law to come help you." Sasuke looked pale from what I said. "That's not what I meant!" he blurted out "Well then the Uchiha will as well be extinct unless you get laid, 24/7, 365 days straight by different women." Sakura just face faltered as she just looked at Sasuke, the Uchiha had a tint of red from embarrassment since his goal was taken in the wrong way.
"Anyway since I see Sasuke is a little embarrassed let's finish with you Naruto." The blond just saluted me as he spoke.
"All right! My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like many things, but most of all are ramen, Old Man Hokage, and Iruka-sensei! I dislike Sasuke and the three minutes of boiling water to make instant ramen. My dream is to become Hokage so people can acknowledge me!"
"Hmm…I see, all your goals are unique in their way. One is to be Hokage, another is to be a housewife, way to show girl power Sakura." I sarcastically stated as the girl just turned red from embarrassment she had forgotten that female kunoichi had a cause to show men that they were also as strong as them. "Lastly one is to have a big harem to be able to rebuild an almost extinct clan."
"I'm not planning to have a harem!" Sasuke shouted out as I just ignored him. "You can lie all you want Sasuke however it's the only way for your clan to not be extinct."
"I'll just have a son!" Sasuke retaliated "Well then what happens if you have a daughter? What then?"
Hearing that question Sasuke just slumped down a bit. 'I didn't think this plan through.' He thought since for some reason just because he heard Iruka-sensei state in biology class that if you have intercourse with your wife when she is ovulating there was a high chance that she would bore a son. He didn't think of the fact his sperm cells might be 80% girl and 20% boy since most of the Uchiha clan members were known to have that certain amount.
"Anyway, we'll have our first mission tomorrow."
"What kind of mission are we going to have?" Naruto asked, "It's a simple task that the four of us will do together." I started as Naruto was so excited about it that he began asking what was it. "Two words. Survival exercise."
"Survival exercise?" Naruto was confused by this as Sakura spoke up "I thought we were supposed to have a real mission."
"It is a real mission."
"Yeah but we've already done this stuff at the academy, that's how we got here."
"This isn't like your previous training Sakura. This is the real deal and I mean like the real deal."
"So what kind of training is it then?" Naruto questioned "Well it's pretty hard actually. You see the Third Hokage noticed that these new blue chips have been brought to the table aka your generation. You guys…how do I say this nicely? You are all garbage. Now before you start saying I'm wrong hear me out. It took you guys 10 months to learn how to throw kunai straight."
"What's so bad about that? I don't get the point why you called us garbage?" Sakura snorted "Don't you see any problem with that Sakura?" the girl nodded as I sighed heavily. "Guys. It's a kunai. A KUNAI!" I took out a kunai from my ninja pouch to show these kids my point. "It's straight! It doesn't have any corners, it cut's through the air! It does that and the worst part is this is the easiest weapon to master." Sasuke and Sakura now understood my plea except for Naruto.
"You forgot about shuriken. That stuff was easy." Naruto stated as I just looked at the blond. "Or really? Can you do this?" I took out a shuriken as I threw it past the three new genin. We all watched as the shuriken just circle a pillar like a boomerang as it returned towards me, luckily my ninja reflexes kicked in and I just put my finger through the loose hole catching the weapon. 'Damn… Kakashi is a beast.' I thought.
All my three graduates looked shocked at what they had just seen, none of them thought it was possible to make a shuriken curve like that. "WOW! KAKASHI-SENSEI YOU'RE SO COOL! CAN YOU TEACH ME THAT? CAN YOU? CAN YOU!" Naruto was all up in my face as I just sweat dropped. "Sure but you first have to pass the exercise anyway where was I? Oh yeah, your generation is garbage. But it's okay, you guys have been learning during the peaceful times. Unlike me, my education was rushed from the word go. Anyway, enough about that only 9 will be accepted as genin. The other 18 will be taken out and stripped of their graduate titles to be taken back to the academy. This means this is a break-it or pass-it test so the chance that you three will fail is at least. 66%. And guess what's the crazy part I just calculated that equation in my head." I stated that I knew I was lying but it was better for them to not know.
Naruto had a shocked expression, and as Sakura looked agitated, Sasuke just kept his composure. "Anyway, I need to go so like catch you guys tomorrow at Training Ground 7, later.
I sunshined away leaving them. Returning to my apartment, I just slumped onto my bed as I stared at the ceiling. I was just lost in my thoughts as I began to boggle on my current situation. I was in the body of a literal killing machine and not only that I had to keep up with the anime or else I wouldn't know what to expect next. Not only that I need to deal with the fact that I had to train the main characters, but the worst part was also I didn't know how to do this. There wasn't any footage of what Team 7 did after they passed the training exercise and before the Land of Wave situation.
So now I had a dilemma, to either train them to be stronger than their canon selves at the time or make them weaker than before since I'm not sure what Kakashi taught them during the time. Ugh, this is such a drag.
"Kakashi!"
What the hell was that?! I just got out of my bed and much to my surprise when I looked at the window, I was caught by surprise. It was Gai of all people. "G-Gai," I muttered since I wasn't expecting to see him so early, the man just did his iconic grin as he stood on the telephone line.
"Kakashi. My only rival how about a challenge."
Okay now I was in another dilemma, should I accept or say no? Now first I like Gai since he's funny and right now I wondered if I should make his and Kakashi's relationship more developed than before. Now I know Kakashi and he would just say no on the spot, but he's Gai. The guy that got Madara Uchiha's respect, not even Onoki got that guy's respect and he was a rank above Gai. So I just kept the reply in the middle.
"Gai I'm kind of busy right now but what challenge is it?"
"Haha! I knew you'll be interested. Anyway me and you! Let's play Janken! If I win you will need to hang out with me and our friends. At Misu's bar."
"Okay, and if I win what do I get?"
Gai just smirked as he took out a replicate speedo like his. "A new, elastic fibrant outfit, like mine!" he grinned as I just grimaced. "Wait?! But you're the only one who's winning in this bet. It's not fair."
"Oh come on, Kakashi! This outfit will let you show off your flamboyant youth!" he shouted as he held the outfit high. I for a fact didn't want to go out since I'm not sure how Kakashi acts in front of everyone. So I had to beat Gai in this game.
"Okay. Fine, if it means you will leave me alone, let's get it over and done with."
Gai was surprised by my reply. 'That's odd, I was sure he would say no and say what he wanted from this.' Gai thought as he brightened. 'Maybe! He's beginning to open up a bit and he wants to join me in this Youth Movement of mine!' Gai thought as he did a thumbs up. "Let's do it Kakashi! Our score is 531-529! It's time I catch up to you!" he declared.
'Sheesh! 531-529! That's like over 1000 challenges! But then again they've known each other for many years.'
"All right let's do it."
I approached the window as I and Gai held our right hands forward. "Rock, Paper, Scissors!" I threw paper and when I saw what Gai threw I was shocked. "YES! Scissors beat paper!" Gai declared. "Umm best to three." I declared. "Whatever you say, Kakashi! Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
Damn it! My scissors were smashed by his rock! "Haha! 2-0. Let's end this! Rock! Paper! Scissors!"
"Haha! Victory!"
Ah, crap!
After a few minutes of talking, Gai said he'll come to get me later. Leaving I was left to ponder how I was going to act in public. 'Just my luck.' I thought.

I thought you'd always be mine, mine
Wait? Justin Bieber? Where the hell is that coming from? I followed the sound of the music and much to my surprise when I checked under my bed, there was my phone.
"No way!" I literally, slid the square from the bottom of the bed. "How…did you get here?" was all I could think as I turned off the alarm that I had set for my study sessions. 'Wait if my phone's here doesn't that mean I'm the first person to have this?'
I didn't think any further of this debacle as I just checked my phone and it was currently on 98%. Just my luck I didn't find my charger anywhere. "Great…now I need to be careful not to waste all of the battery." Just then I realized there was no network which made sense since phones haven't been introduced into this world, so cell towers were known where to be seen.
Putting my phone in my pocket I just went to the bathroom to practice my Kakashi impression.
Sometime Later
I don't know how much time I spent in the mirror, but I hope it was enough since now Gai and I were walking through town. "Say, Gai what time is it?" I asked the man. "It's about." the man's eyes looked through the window of a shop we were passing as he saw the clock on the wall.
"6:58 PM," Gai replied as I nodded.
Arriving at the bar, I felt a bit out of my place since all of these people were shinobi and I was just some guy who unknowingly ended up in some future Hokage's body.
"Welcome!" I looked behind the bar table to see a familiar woman. She wore a blue kimono as she had reddish hair. "It's good to see you too, Misu! Where are the others?" Gai asked the bar owner. "They haven't arrived yet," she replied. "Well then me and Kakashi will have to wait. Give us some nice water will you," Gai declared as me and him sat behind the bar table. "You do know you will have to pay for this right?" Misu stated as Gai nodded.
She poured some water into a couple of glasses, handing them to us. Gai downed the drink as he sighed in relief. "I don't know how you do it, Misu but your water seems to keep my blood boiling." he declared as he put the glass down. I just casually drank my glass as I listened to Gai and Misu's conversation.
"Say Misu how was your week so far?" Gai began as the girl huffed. "Can you believe when I was grocery shopping? Naruto had the honorable grandson transform into me! What's even more annoying he didn't seem to get it right! What's so ever!"
I was shocked as now I understood why she was familiar. She was that lady that Konohamaru tried to transform into at the beginning of the series. I think he turned into a fat lady, that didn't look whatsoever like her.
"I'm sure it was embarrassing. For Naruto." I said as she huffed. "It wasn't embarrassing for him but me!"
"Well, it'll be fine next time I'm sure he learned from his mistakes." I tried to stand up for the blond. "I hope," Misu replied as she cleaned some glasses.
After I think fifty minutes, the bar was booming with people. I was busy sitting with the other jonin in our booth as they were all discussing their lives. I didn't say anything since I wasn't sure when Kakashi would say something.
"So how is your possible first team Kurenai?" Gai asked the genjutsu mistress. "Well, they are a pretty specific bunch. Lord Third said he wanted me to try and teach them how to work as a unit since they all come from sensory clans."
"Did you see any problems meeting them?" Asuma asked as he flung another cigarette into his mouth. "I did, Kiba is an arrogant brat who's cocky about his skills, Shino is...well introverted which is something the Aburame are known for but as a shinobi, he will need to communicate more with the team he's assigned to and Hinata, well she's really shy and I mean shy. When I spoke to her to introduce herself, she stuttered so many times it was pretty hard to hear what she was saying."
"She must have some pretty low self-esteem." Gai spoke as Kurenai nodded "That's the same thing I thought. But how does she have such low esteem?"
"I guess some people are born with it and Hinata is one of those people," Gai suggested "Well I just hope I'll be able to teach them how to be good shinobi and help them develop more as people."
"And you will Kurenai. For I believe in you." Gai stated with a grin much to the woman's appreciation. "So what about you, Asuma?" Kurenai looked at the man sitting beside her, Asuma just blew some smoke out of his mouth as he spoke. "I'm supposed to make the new Ino-Shika-Cho a great trio and well the new generation is...going to be a challenge for me. Ino Yamanaka is a fangirl, Shikamaru Nara just like most Nara is lazy but his laziness is on another level and Choji Akimichi...well he also has low esteem. For some reason, he gets pretty angry when I call him fatso."
Gai and Kurenai looked at him surprised. "What? Did I do something wrong?" he received a bonk to the head by Kurenai.
"You made fun of him, Asuma! Just because he gets angry doesn't mean he has low self-esteem!" she lectured the man as Gai nodded in agreement. "No guys listen, I was trying to test him and I was right. He ran up to me in rage and tried to fight, which was pretty suicidal if I was an enemy shinobi. Because of this, I figured that if he has such a low mental fortitude, he won't survive as a shinobi since you know in our line of work, it's not illegal to trash talk."
"Ooooh!" Gai and Kurenai stated in unison as Asuma got into the sound sarcastically. "Sorry for that." Kurenai apologized to the man as she had a tint of red on her cheeks from being embarrassed.
"It's fine." he put the now-finished cigarette into its bowl as he took out another. "So what about you Kakashi? What did you think about your potential team?" the trio's attention shifted to me as I just gulped. "You haven't said anything all night so they probably might have not peeked your attention," Kurenai stated.
"Well, they did catch my attention Kurenai." I began as I noticed none of them got suspicious so I continued. "However they have their flaws. Sakura Haruno is a fangirl of another boy on the team."
"Sasuke Uchiha." Asuma stated as I nodded "Ino is as well." he added.
"Well because of this she's so vulnerable of her feelings that they will surely be the cost of her life one day," I foreshadowed "Then there's Naruto Uzumaki, he's a bit loud, too-forward, I wouldn't call him an idiot but I'll say he's 'special' in his way. Which is a bad combination for a shinobi then there's Sasuke Uchiha and he's...well an Uchiha and we all know how an Uchiha acts."
"So do you think they'll be the ones that pass your test?"
"I'm not going to keep my hopes up," I stated nonchalantly.
The rest of the evening I said nothing and luckily they all didn't look suspicious I guess they were all used to Kakashi being the quiet one. We all had like two cups of Sake and man was that drink strong. Thank Kami we all didn't get drunk.
We all said goodbye to each other as we separated.
Returning to my apartment, I got out of my clothes and wore only my underwear I took my phone as I climbed onto my bed. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day.
Sasuke's Point Of View
I couldn't sleep whatsoever last night, Kakashi's suggestion that I'll need to have sex 365 days 24/7 just to repopulate my clan was pretty eye-boggling. Was my goal like that? Since I was sure it meant bringing the honor my clan had lost back, however for some reason, Kakashi thought of it wrongly.
Whatever it doesn't matter anyway, I just need to pass this test of his and I'll be one step closer to getting to 'him'. I just need to hope those two losers don't stand in my way.
Wearing my clothes, I went to the bathroom to practice on my lines as I will need them to show Kakashi that I'm too cool for those losers. Walked out of my home, I had to navigate my way through the silent compound and it being dark didn't help a bit since I began to remember seeing the bodies once more.
Anyway, luckily I was able to arrive at the training ground just in time to see the two losers walking toward me. They were both yawning as I just walked upright.
We met up and we greeted each other. We all waited for like...I don't know how long but the sun had already risen. When the two losers sat on the grass I just stood up and folded my arms as I waited patiently.
"Morning everyone." I turned my head to see Kakashi and on time the two losers shouted out he was late. I just kept my emotions at bay as he replied a black cat had crossed his path, so he had to take a long way.
Lier was the only thing.
Sasuke's Point of View End.
"Well let's get started shall we." I put a clock on a post as I pressed the button to set the alarm. "It's set for noon so you guys have two hours to get one of these two bells. If you can't get them, no lunch and you'll be tied to those posts." I pointed at the three posts.
"Wait why are there two bells when there are three of us?" Sakura asked "It's a pretty simple answer, one of you will be tied to a post and will be disqualified due to them not being able to complete the mission. They will also be sent back to the academy, but then again all three of you can flunk out too. Now you can use any weapons you want but if you aren't prepared to kill me you will fail."
'I hope I don't regret saying that.' I thought.
"Haha, this I'll be easy, especially since you couldn't even dodge that eraser." Naruto laughed "Now that's just arrogance talking. But anyway begin."
They all went out of sight as I just gulped a little bit. I couldn't see them anywhere and what's worse I allowed them to use any weapons against me. But like usual Naruto showed up as he spoke some with cockiness.
"You do know this is a test right? Meaning I can assess you with all your ninja skills and being discrete is one of them. So it's a bit weird you showing yourself to me."
"The only thing weird is your haircut!" Naruto declared as he charged at me. "How dare you say such things about my gravity-defying hair!" I seriously don't know what came over me but I sent Naruto flying in the direction he came from with a Rasengan.
He spun like a pinwheel as he smashed into a tree.
"Ooh." I wheezed "You alright there Naruto?" I asked as I approached the blond and I only replied with some murmuring about ramen. "Shit. I just fucked canon right there." I muttered.
"What the hell was that!" was all Sasuke could think of. "What was that jutsu?" he thought as well.
"Yo!, Guys, the exercise is complete automatically, since Naruto is knocked out that means you two get the bells each," I shouted out since I wasn't sure what I would do to these kids if I did this to Naruto by mistake.
Sasuke and Sakura came out of hiding and luckily Sakura had some smelling salts to awaken the now tied-up Naruto. "What the?! Why am I tied up?" Naruto asked as I explained the situation to the blond.
"What!? So does that mean I'm going back to the academy?"
"Well, I'll give you a second chance after lunch. But right now Sakura and Sasuke don't feed Naruto." I spoke as I walked away into some bushes. Taking out my phone, I began to just scroll through it. Back with the three kids, Sakura and Sasuke were eating their lunch.
"This is no big deal! I can go all day without eating food!" the blond declared as his tummy grumbled "Here." Naruto was shocked to see Sasuke of all people offer some food. "What? No Sasuke you can't do that. You heard Kakashi-sensei." Sakura stated as she held her chopsticks.
"Kakashi's gone plus he said he'll give Naruto a second chance meaning we'll also be a part of it. You saw what he did to Naruto so we're going to need Naruto to get those bells. He'll be weak if he was hungry and it jeopardizes our chance of finishing the mission."
When Sakura heard this she offered Naruto some food after debating with herself much to the blond's surprise. "S-Sakura." Naruto was surprised by this way of gratitude.
"Don't thank me and just eat."
"But isn't that your lunch?"
"I-I'm on a diet, I don't eat as much as Sasuke so just take it Naruto."
"I can't take it, since my hands are tied up, so you're going to have to feed."
"Huh!" Sakura was shocked by this "Hurry up. He couldn't come back any minute."
"Aargh! This is one time only!" Sakura shouted as she fed Naruto much to his enjoyment.
"You know you three mu'fuckers are loud as ever you know that." I showed up in a puff of smoke as they all freaked out. "Kakashi-sensei! It's not what you think." Naruto began but was cut by Sasuke "No it is what you think! Were feeding a Naruto and there's nothing you're going to do about it." Sasuke retorted "S-Sasuke!" Sakura was shocked by this statement.
"Well good. Since you guys pass, this was the second chance and you guys have shown you can have teamwork, well done." I smiled with a thumbs up. "Wait what?"
After I explained the concept of the test, I untied Naruto as I stood in front of them. "Now we'll be known as Squad 7 or should I say Team 7 but I just want to tell you guys our first mission is tomorrow."
"Yes!" Sakura cheered as Sasuke smirked, Naruto was crying with joy as he chanted 'I did it.' after I showed them the memorial stone I decided to lighten the mood a bit.
"Okay now that you've passed, here." I gave the three some money much to their surprise. "What are we supposed to do with this sensei?" Sakura asked.
"Now that you three got some money what you need to do is get yourselves some gear cause you three are bummy as fuck right now. You can't be walking around with me looking like that with me. You'll scare all the ladies away, so go out there and better represent-ate yourselves. Later."
I just sunshined away as I returned to my apartment.
