The last idea for now.
Inside a church the guests sat at the bench glimpsing at the altar, where they spotted the groom standing with its back against the crowd looking up at the table, where the priest is meant to stay. The groom was the oldest son of the Langerak family, Parker. He was entering on this day the bond of the holy matrimony. He didn't seem nervous at all, visually at least, innerly he felt as if he was melting down. It was a special day, compared to all the others. He wasn't the only one excited about that day, his family was as well and the several friends invited to the wedding ceremony.
At the altar Parker looked back at the guests, which were there waiting for the arrival of the bride, thereafter he looked at his mother Iliana Langerak, who stood together with Kaylynn at the side waiting for the start of the ceremony. Iliana understood, that Parker was nervous about everything, then she walked up towards the man, followed by Kaylynn to take a look at him.
„You look great, brother," Complimented Kaylynn checking out the suit of the man, that consisted of black dress pants, a white dress shirt and a green dress jacket. The family recognized the jacket well, it was the one, they had gifted Parker back when he was sixteen and he had been using it on quite a lot of formal occasions. He decided to take the jacket to the wedding as well, cause he knew it would bring him and his fiancé positive memories from their past together. He remembered having offered his fiancé, who was a good friend at that time the jacket to cover herself. One of the many nights we won't forget. That had also been the evening, where both had shared their first kiss. Indeed, those are quite a few good memories.
„Thank you, Kay," Responded Parker, then watched Kaylynn move her gray dress by the side and move aside to show it to her brother.
„What do you think about mines? Mom helped me pick,"
„It looks good on you," Answered Parker, then looked at his mother which had a prideful smile on her face.
„I'm not quite fond of dresses, but I made sure it would be proper enough for the ceremony," Commented Iliana making Parker nod.
„You're great the way you are. You don't have to wear something you're not happy with," Commented Parker making Iliana nod.
„You're right," Stated Iliana, then placed her hand on Parker's face to caress it. „Nervous, right?" Questioned the mother making Parker nod.
„A little," Added Parker making Iliana chuckle.
„That bit runs in my side of the family," Iliana commented making Parker grin.
„That's what dad says," Confessed Parker making Iliana nod.
„Don't worry. Everything will go fine. We both know how River cherishes you," Mentioned the raven-haired woman making her son nod. „Take good care of her. She's a good girl," Commented the Portuguese making Parker smile.
By the outside stood Dustin Langerak watching the red car of him roll by slowly all decorated with white ribbons on the door handle and a slight bit over the bonnet. The blonde moved aside to look at the side to see the driver, who was the woman Ayesha Ansari, a good friend of Claire Ursine, a woman that had been present in the McIrish's life for a couple of years. Dustin looked back at the backseat to see the bride sitting in there along with her mother, all prettied up for the ceremony.
Dustin opened the door up to watch Fiona step out, then turned around to follow her daughter with the eyes, which tried to pull herself out of the car. Dustin held out his hand, while Fiona helped the brunette with the dress out of the vehicle.
"There you go," Said Dustin watching Fiona adjust the veil, then Dustin closed the door while helping Fiona out. Dustin knocked on the door of the car for it to drive off, then watched a small ribbon from River's dress stuck inside the car, after it left it ripped off from the dress making Dustin flinch his teeth in shock.
"Plum..." Mumbled Dustin, then tried to adjust the rest over the other veils of the dress and glimpsed at his soon-to-be daughter-in-law. "I like the dress," Commented the blonde making River smile.
"Thank you...also you don't have to worry about the damage. I sort of got hung with a part of it back at the house," Mentioned River making Dustin chuckle.
"That makes me feel a little relieved," Confessed Dustin earning a nod from the brunette.
"Mr. Langerak...I mean Dustin...I would like to thank you for your offer of leading me accross the aisle. I really appreciate it. It's not as traditional as the way we all know,"
"Your dad might not have been the best man in the world and his deeds have paid the price. But this doesn't mean you have to walk here all alone anyway,"
"I was her one option. Upon your suggestion River adored it. I too liked it. You two have bonded a lot over the years, its as if you were her second father," The ginger-head stated making River chuckle.
"They are now like a second family to me," Commented the brunette making the blonde nod.
"You fit well within the Langeraks. I don't doubt it," Commented Dustin making River giggle at his conviction.
"I'm beginning to think the more I hear the new variation of my name the more I begin to think that it could not be more ideal,"
"See? We wouldn't mind if it ended up being the other way around. What mattered to us is, that both of you in the end of the day both share your happiness with one another," River nodded, then looked at her mother, which gazed up at the entrance of the church and eyed her daughter.
"What do you think? Are you ready to step in?" Questioned the Irish woman making River smile and look at Dustin which mirrored her facial expression and held out his arm for her to take it.
"In about an hour, you'll be known under the name, River Langerak. Might take a little time to write it, but its worth it," Said Dustin making River cover her mouth to not laugh at his comment. Dustin walked the brunette upstairs arriving at the arc of the church to have the entire lot in sight seeing all the guests standing up, followed by the music starting to play to announce the bride's arrival.
The guests turned around to watch River in company of her father-in-law and mother walk over the carpet through the aisle, earning everybody's attention. All admired the brunette in her wedding gown strott elegantly.
At the altar, Parker had turned around to watch his fiance come along, causing in himself mirth on watching the brunette come along eyeing the young man there, who stood straight.
The raven-haired man beamed by the altar as he observed the brunette come along the hall. Next to him, the two women smiled proudly at seeing the high interest of Parker. Kaylynn nudged her mother with the elbow, making the mother smile and place her arm behind the daughter's back.
At the second row Zelda Mae stood along with the few friends of the McIrish clan, the two women Molly French and Claire Ursine. Molly's teenage daughter stood there as well along with a raven-haired boy, which held on his hand a smartphone to record the entrance. Molly stepped beside Zelda to glimpse at her two friends, which were coming down accompanied by Mr. Langerak. Molly smiled brightly at seeing the young woman come along, then gave her a thumb up at scanning out the brunette's dress. River smiled glad about her former roommate's opinion, then waved at her gently, afterward recognized the girl Sandi, which she used to take care off glimpse from behind her mother's back to wave at her as well.
River gazed above the trio, then earned a smile from Claire Ursine as well, then observed the boyfriend of Sandi give her a thumb up and point at his lips, complimenting the smile she had been giving. River moved her head to the other side, spotting her father-in-law already gazing at a few of his long-distant relatives.
The trio slowly arrived at the altar watching Parker step forward and hold out his hand, making River smile and exchange looks with her mother. Fiona smiled at her daughter, then opened her arms for the woman to hug her. Dustin had let go of the brunette and crossed his arms behind his back to observe the two, afterward, River looked back at the blonde and grabbed his hand.
„Thank you," River said quietly, making Dustin smile, which grabbed the one hand of River and looked at his son.
„One little step is missing," Mentioned Dustin making Parker chuckle and watch him move River closer to him, so he would take the hand of his future wife. River glued her eyes on the fiancé, which helped her up on the altar, followed by Fiona readjusting the veil of the dress. Dustin let go of the brunette, then looked at Parker, which smiled courteously at his father.
„My boy, you better treat mah daughter right or you'll suffer consequences," Dustin fake-threatened his son, with a playfully voice making Parker look perplexed at his faked Scottish accent.
„Uh I don't think, that's how an Irish accent sounds like," Fiona commented eyeing the blonde man, which passed his hand behind his neck slightly abashed about not having done a well performance.
„I hoped to give a better performance as another father," Mentioned Dustin watching River chuckle, while Parker felt a little awkward about it.„Don't worry, the main event of this day are you two. We'll keep it that way," Assured the blonde, then Kaylynn passed by her father to grab him on the arm, afterward, the duo followed their way back to their seats followed by Iliana, only leaving Fiona back, which took the hands of her daughter to gaze into her eyes.
„My little girl, I wish you for the future the very best," Announced the ginger-haired woman making River smile engaged at her mother's wish, then responded back.
„Thank you, mom,"
Fiona led River directly at Parker, which took her hands and looked at his future mother-in-law. The woman gave the man a gentle smile and made her way down to join the Langeraks at the bench next to Iliana at the side.
Parker admired River in her wedding dress with the medium-length veil behind the back, then watched the dress from the sides while the woman followed curious her future husband's interest in the clothing.
„I can't believe you brought the jacket from our first prom night," Mentioned River earning a nod from the fiancé.
„I felt like it would be a cool idea," Responded the man.
„And it is," Agreed the brunette, then looked along with the fiancé at the crowd, that stood there waiting for the start. Upon the doors on the back were closed, Parker offered River to take his arm and both turned around together to look at the priest, which held his book in front of himself to begin the ceremony.
„Dearly beloved. We have gathered here together on this special occasion to witness and celebrate the espousal of River McIrish and Parker Langerak. The two have found each other and wish to spend the rest of their lives together,..."
Iliana and Dustin exchanged looks with each other and smiled glad to see their common son moving a step further in his life, along with her loved one.
„It feels as if was last week I held our Parker in my arms. How time passes so fast," Stated the blonde making his wife nod. „Just imagine next year or the other one, holding our future grandchild in our arms," Mentioned Dustin making Fiona next to him chuckle at noticing their conversation.
„Well, that might come sooner than you think," Fiona mentioned with a smile, making Dustin wide his eyes in surprise, then glimpsed at the altar to see River for a moment pat her belly with a short glimpse down to it, making Dustin smile enamored with figuring out he's going to be a grandfather soon.
Meanwhile River sighed enamored, then rolled her eyes at her soon-to-be husband, that moved his head aside to watch her roll her eyes down at her belly, making Parker grin and wink at the brunette. The duo remained together throughout the ceremony there, until they were able to aprove each other's promise to be beside each other for a lifetime.
