'Night owl? night creeper? Night traveler?' I groaned as I threw my pencil across my living room from where I was on the couch. 'I really need to buy myself a T.V... I'll handle that next week'

I sat up and I looked down at the list of names I've come up with so far. 'I should just let the media choose for me honestly' I sighed and put my notebook away, getting up to collect my pencil on the ground.

'For now I'll just get me a vigilante costume and of course, find me a weapon I could use to defend myself' I thought to myself as I made my way out the house wearing the same clothes as yesterday 'I should buy new clothes soon, I've got groceries and other living necessities, but I don't want anyone to notice me going around in the same clothing for days.'

I put my hand out for a taxi and once they pulled over, I got in telling them my destination. 'The type of costume I want is something durable, flexible, lots of pockets to hold extra equipment, capable of handling a couple of bullets or so, and contains a see in the dark lens. After all, I'll be patrolling only at night. As for the design, I'd like it to cover every part of my body, as for the color, I'll go for black and purple. Similar to Kate Bishops costume but just the color. I'm a fan of the color purple, what can I say'

As the car came to a stop, I payed and got out to go shop for the equipment I'll need to make my costume and weapons. I'll be making it of course, not really experienced with the whole making clothes thing, or deadly weapons but the internet and my new acquired IQ will help me out. 'This should take about 3 hours or so, shouldn't be too much of a problem' I smile to myself and walked off.

I groaned making impact with the floor of my apartment. "Won't be too much of a problem my ass" I said to myself. I had to walk around holding bags of equipment, getting looks from everyone I passed. It was so very embarrassing. It was even worse when I had to get into the taxi and it took longer then needed for me to fit everything inside the vehicle.

'I really need to get myself car... I'm of age, but I'll have to take care of other things before I even think about taking a drivers license test'

Putting everything in my living room, I decided that I'll go to the nearby café which would only take a few minutes to walk to. Locking my door once again as I walked out, I took out my phone and put on my earphones. 'At least I still have my songs that I downloaded into my phone here. Couldn't live without it' I smiled to myself.

Once I made it to my destination, I entered the shop, going to the counter to order, I let my eyes wonder around the place when I noticed something. I froze for a second as I came eye to eye with none other then Matt Murdock and his two friends, Karen and Foggy. I quickly tried to quickly look away and take my order, while going to sit at a table as far away from the trio as possible. Which was only about 3 tables away.

I took out my phone, as I nervously tried to calm my heartbeat down by distracting myself. 'Shit, Matt definitely noticed my heartbeat speed up once I saw them. He's not a feared vigilante for nothing. Okay, just calm down... clear skies, clear skies' I kept repeating to myself.

After calming down, I noticed the waiter coming towards me with my meal. "Thank you" I said, surprisingly in a calm voice. They just smiled and headed off to the one other customer in the room.

'Okay, lets just eat, drink and then get out of her as fast as I can... wait no, that'll be even more suspicious. I'll go by my own pace, yes, my own pace...' I nodded to myself as i began to dig into my Bagel, sandwich and coffee. Time passed, and I saw from the corner of my eye that the trio of lawyers were still talking over their meal. 'I'll add super hearing to my costume, just because I'm nosey- and it would be useful for vigilante work of course... yeah that too' I noted.

As I finished off the rest of my coffee, I got up to leave at the same exact time the other trio got up. 'Great' I thought to myself as I went to throw away my garbage and head for the exit after saying I quick "thank you for the meal" to the worker, when suddenly Karen slipped on a napkin that for some reason was laying right where she stepped. Thinking fast, I grabbed her to make sure she doesn't fall, managing to steady her enough that she was standing by herself now. I sighed in relief and then realized what I just did.

"Oh, thank you, was close to embarrassing myself there" the blond woman said to me with a smile and small laugh. I froze for a bit and stiffly nodded and quickly said "no problem" before quickly rushing to the door, passing by both Foggy and Matt who were watching (or hearing) the whole scene. As I got outside, I started walking quickly to my apartment, opening the door and locking it before letting out a very much needed breath.

"That was terrifying" I said to myself. I'm a huge fan of daredevil, don't get me wrong, but that's the exact reason that I can not face that man, including Karen and Foggy. I would be too star struck to say anything, plus I can't let personal things like my very much bad fan behavior for them to ruin my plans. Only person I'm willing to get attached too would be Peter, and that's because he loses so much so I want to be there for him. He gives huge little brother vibes and I'm weak to that.

Calming my once again racing heart, I continued on to getting my costume ready. It took a long time, but by 9pm, I manage to get most of my costume down. The design is pretty much the same as I described in the taxi. I continued onto thinking of what kind of weapon would suit me.

'I'm more of a long distance fighter, so maybe guns. Silent pistols and the such would be perfect for me. Same thing for a sniper, silenced ones of course. I'll be working at night so I have to be as quiet as possible' I thought to myself as I took out more equipment that I brought today. 'I can upgrade my guns once I have more equipment and money. I've used half of my money in only two days so I need to get myself a job... but what kind would go with my schedule' I thought to myself as I continued working on my guns.

Double tasking, I continued to think to myself 'I could sell art online, I was always the artistic kid in class. I did that back home when I was a teenager too. That won't be enough though... I could probably steal money from rapists I take down or any organizations that do human trafficking or something' I continued planning how I'll earn money as I added my finishing touches to my guns. It hit 1am when I finished. 'I'll make my see through lens and add it onto my costume in the morning and buy myself some knives just in case. I'll need to learn how to fight in close range, I can't get a teacher though. Too risky. I'll have to turn to the internet again. Luckily with my IQ now, I'll be able to understand information easier, plus I now know weak points to the human body. Very useful may I add. My physical strength and stamina needs work though, so I'll have to start going on runs and buy me some weights to work out at home. Its not much but it will be enough for now. I have about a year until the whole civil war thing starts, which I will leave as it is. Same for End game. I won't be able to do much about any of that, but I'll do one thing I suppose. I'll just give hints to help them somewhat.'

'This will be a very long year' I sighed to myself as I went to bed.

Time passed as always, the next day I continued onto finishing the rest of my costume, taking breaks in between and planning a bit as to how my patrolling will go down.

'I'll patrol from place to place. I'll go slowly at first, taking down muggings and the such, but then once I've gotten a handle onto what I'm doing, I'll do more dangerous missions such as human trafficking, experimenting and the such.

When it hit 8pm, I got ready to go out and introduce myself as a new vigilante, I once again took a deep breath and disappeared into the night.

"Give me all your money unless you'd rather see your pretty little girlfriend die?" The man said holding a knife to the teen girls neck. The girl, terrified, whimpered when the knife touched her neck. "h-help..." she whispered sobbing while facing her boyfriend who was stood frozen from across them.

They were on the side of the road, standing under a lamp light, no other person in sight. It was silent, you could only hear the sound of the wind and heavy breathing coming from the terrified couple who was only returning from a date when this man came out of no where and took a hold of the girl before the teen boy could even react.

"So what will it b-" before he could finish his sentence, the lamp light that was supporting their eyesight under the night sky flickered off, everything turning pitch black.

One second the man was standing, threatening the couple, the next he was knocked out, tied up on the ground. A note stuck to his forehead which said 'call the cops and make sure he doesn't get loose'

Both girl and boy were frozen in both awe and confusion. They didn't even get a glance at whoever just saved them... unless it was that new vigilante going around this past week. No one got a glance at them, one second they're there and another they're gone.

Once the police arrive on the scene, they took care of the criminal and made sure the two teens were okay. Before they could get anymore space, news people also arrived on the scene once they heard what happened. They bombarded the young couple with questions before getting pushed back by the police. They allowed only one newsman to interview the teens.

"It was unlike anything else I ever experienced" the young teen who was about 16 said. "All of a sudden the lights went out and all we could hear was a grunt from the man before the lights turned back on and he was just sitting there, tied up!" He continued talking with stars in his eyes. His girlfriend nodded beside him with a similar expression.

"Whoever they were saved my life and I couldn't be anymore grateful" the young teen said with watery eyes.

I turned off the news on my new T.V that I finally brought this week with a sigh. 'It's been more than a week and I'm already quite well known... I've even been given a nickname after that some of my rescues which had me hacking into the electricity to the lights around town, turning them off and taking care of my prey in the dark. I've become much better at getting the upper hand of people in the dark, my see in the dark lens really helped with that. the same could be said for my super hearing earbuds that I use to get information on some small gang groups. those are a bit newer, only had them for 3 days and although they have their perks, it sucks when you're close to someone and they scream or yell. I could accidently go deaf so I have to make sure not to use the earbuds too much.

It's 2pm and I'm scrolling through the news on my phone now, seeing headlines about a new vigilante, me of course, causing an uproar on the media. They're calling me names such as the shadow creeper (Hey, I was close with that one on my list), silencer (I believe that one is because I stitched a pedophiles mouth closed a few days ago), but the most frequent one is the name 'lights out'... "wait, like the horror movie? do they even know lights out here..." I murmured to myself.

'I mean, it makes sense because of the way I would go after people once its dark and all, but isn't that a bit literal? But then again Peters is literally spider man and Tony's is Iron man so I guess its not uncommon for people to go for the most obvious aspect of that person." I shrugged

'They've never seen what I look like so they're just going off what I'm known for I guess... I can live with that" I hummed to myself as I went to make me a meal before going out into the night again.

'What does tick me off is the fact that people just assumed that I am a man. I mean, it helps with the whole secret identity thing but wow does that piss me off. I'll need a voice change if I want to further prove the whole 'me being a man' thing' I noted down in my head.

Little did I know who I'd run into on tonight's patrol.
