When Peter and I arrived back at my apartment, I led him to my room so that he could have a shower and change. I caught a glimpse at his clothes and grimaced.

I was aware he didn't have much clothes because of the fact that everything he owned was likely destroyed after the events that happened in NWH, but actually seeing the state of his clothes and the amount he has left... it just made me pity the boy more.

I know that he and probably a lot of people would hate having pity directed their way, so naturally I looked away. I can't stop myself for feeling bad for him, because no one his age- or any age really should go through this.

Heading to my closet, I grabbed him a t-shirt, some sweat pants, and underwear that was still untouched in it's plastic package. Luckily for him I just so happen to prefer wearing boxers.

Handing the items to him, I quickly said before he could protest "I am not having a guest walk around in those worn out clothes that look like they haven't been washed in weeks. No arguing. Just shower, change and make yourself at home. I'll make dinner so come to the kitchen once you're done" finished with my statement, I turned around and exited the room before I could see his reaction. Once out, I quickly stripped myself of my suite, wearing some extra clothes inside since I knew I was only going out to grab Peter and not patrol.

I placed my things in one of my bags and let it sit by the wall as I went to prepare dinner.

I went into the habit of always trying something new, with the help of V I usually asked the AI for any recommendations for me to try. Today however, I felt like making one of my favorites. I continued to make sweet and sour chicken with noodles on the side. It's simple and much easier to make than other recipes since I'm already familiar with making noodles.

After about 30 minutes or more, Peter came out from the room, much more cleaner and clearly exhausted. I smiled, happy to see the boy more relaxed.

He jumped a bit when we made eye contact.

'Or maybe not'

"Take a seat on one of the stools, the food is almost ready. Oh and I'll be showering after we eat so feel free to watch T.V on the couch in the mean time" I said with a small smile as he made his way towards one of the stools.

It was quiet for a while before he decided to break the silence.

"So..." he started off awkwardly, still trying to avoid eye contact "what exactly got you into the whole... vigilante business?"

I gave him a thoughtful stare, grimacing for a moment.

"Well, it started off with an offer. Can't tell you what it was but it was pretty crazy- not concerning money although I wouldn't mind that either-" he raised a brow at that "- jokes, just jokes ha... but anyways, it started off like that but... then I decided along the way that I could do a lot of good you know? I mean, I'm not one to believe heroes and all that but I just noticed a lot more things being swept under the rug or dismissed so I just thought 'hey, I could probably do something about this! I'm no Captain America but no one else is doing shit!' you know?" he nodded

"I mean, if I have the power to do it then why not? It's pretty cliché but-" I said kind of confusing myself along the way

"No no, I get it. Like- I have these really strong abilities and I could save so many innocent people with it so I just thought, 'yeah this is my purpose'... my aunt always said, with great power comes great responsibility after all and it sorta just stuck" he replied with a far away look near the end.

"Huh... well you're right about that, oh and the foods ready" I said as I grabbed two plates and placed it down on the table. I neatly placed the food on his plate and mine, quite dramatically may I add "here you go your highness"

He snorted and played along "Why thank you my humble waiter"

We smiled at each other as we both dug in to eat. On my second bite I stopped midway and thought to myself 'I should probably grab us some drinks from the fridge, I know from personal experience just how hard it is when it comes to asking for something at somebody else's house' Goal set, I got up and went over to the fridge.

"What would you like? I have juice, coke, water-" "just water please" I frowned at the boy

"Suit yourself" I shrugged before throwing him a bottle of water. I decided to also take a bottle of water even though I would have preferred a can of coke 'geez, he's making me self conscious' I thought gloomily as I took a seat next to the teenage boy.

I finished before him (He kept sending me glances whenever he thought I wasn't paying attention) heading towards the bathroom. "Feel free to look around, although there ain't much to see" I quickly said before disappearing behind the door.

Peter sat there still for a few moments, thinking to himself. 'She seems nice so far... I could trust her although how do I know this isn't just a coverup for whatever she plans on doing next'

After everything with Mysterio and then the green goblin, Peter has gained major trust issues. Confused on whether Lights out- or now known as 'Vio' is being genuine in taking him in. The whole situation seems suspicious, she just comes up out of no where, disturbing his patrol and then all of a sudden telling him that she knew everything about what led up to his whole predicament... there were too many questions and little to no answers.

He slowly ate at his food as he thought before suddenly the plate was empty. Getting up, he went to the sink and washed his plate 'lets just try and not be a bother for her... even if she isn't sincere with her intentions, it's been a while since I've had a warm home made meal...'

When done, he made his way to the couch, grabbing his plastic water bottle which was half empty before hesitantly taking a seat on the soft chair. Right away he melted in his seat, his muscles relaxing from all the strain he's been putting on it recently. He decided he'd rather just close his eyes for a while, just a quick nap.

Time passed, and the boy was fully passed out. The dark haired vigilante exited her room, looking around trying to spot the familiar soft brown hair. She became confused before becoming slightly panicked 'what if he snuck out!? Oh god no, I wouldn't be surprised if he thought I was just manipulating him with the amount of times the people he had trusted turned on him' I was about to run outside to try and find the supposedly missing boy before I suddenly started to hear soft breathing coming from the couch.

I paused. 'Wait...' walking towards the couch, I looked over to see none other than the resident spider boy fast asleep in a fetal position, water bottle still in hand. My eyes softened at the sight, while I let out a sigh of relief. Now that I got the chance to examine the boys current condition, I now noticed the small scratched littering his face and arms. I can even see some on his legs. There were clear eye bags under his eyes and his wrists were worryingly thin.

I gave the rest of his body a pitying look. 'That's it, I am going to make sure this boy eats as much as he can'

I went back to my room to grab a blanket and pillow, coming back to the couch to gently left his head (I froze when I saw his face turn into a grimace, but continued once he returned back to normal) and take the plastic bottle out of his reach. Now that I've done all that, I placed the blanket over his body before turning off the lights to the living room.

'I wanted him to sleep in my room but I guess I'll have that arrange for tomorrow' I sighed in defeat before returning to bed.

'Hopefully I can gain his trust soon'
