Author's Note: Hiya! I'm back with another new fic! Hasn't been that long since my last one but I had this little idea in my head for days and couldn't keep from writing it all down. Sometimes you just get the urge y'know?

So this fic is going to be on Spy X Family, the viral new anime that everyone's talking about. And for good reason, it's great and it has the best anime family! (yeah I said it, change my mind I dare you) I admit, I've been charmed by its spell as well and just had to make a sickfic on it! I've seen a lot of fics on Anya being ill and being taken care of by her parents. Then I thought, what if it was the other way around? What if Anya was the one taking care of them instead? That's a twist I hardly ever see!

Now I DID consider both her parents for this, but I thought it would be a little harder and overwhelm me a little, so I decided on just one of her parents this time. (feel free to take that idea if you wanna try it!) I decided on Yor rather than Loid because I feel like her and Anya have a little more of a more normal family-like relationship since Yor is more experienced with raising kids than Loid is. (Yor is also my favorite character, and you know my ways. I gotta make my faves SUFFER :D) This fic is intended to be a wholesome familial bonding experience for Anya and Yor with some very small TwiYor moments sprinkled in. (I do ship them but this fic focuses more on the bond between Anya and Yor!) Hope you all enjoy!

Note: Any Italic lines written are character's inner thoughts!

Chapter 1: Anya has a day off school the same day that Yor is feeling under the weather. And she's being very stubborn about it. She does whatever she can to get her mom to stay home to rest, even if she has to get her father involved.

It was another beautiful morning in the country of Ostania, at least for the time being. It's been set in stone that a war will take place eventually. One man has been tasked with the mission of stopping this war at whatever the cost. Agent Twilight. The best spy in the world. Always taking his missions seriously he has encountered and completed various missions with no issue. However, in order to get to his Target for Operation Strix, he had to become a family-oriented person, form a family with a child. And use that child to get closer to his enemy via a school. He took the new name of Loid Forger with an occupation as a psychiatrist and a home in 128 Park Avenue.

Little did he know his choice of family, was anything but normal. The child he adopted; Anya Forger was actually a telepath that could read people's minds. She lied about her age to get adopted by Loid and knew his identity because she loved spies and wanted to do whatever she can to help her new father with his mission. She had to keep her identity a secret from her father, so she reads his mind and plays dumb. She also set him up with her new mother and Loid's wife, Yor Forger. A twenty-seven-year-old woman who's insecure about herself yet very kind and does her best to be a better fit for her role. But she too had a dark secret. Yor was a professional contract killer known as the Thorn Princess that in her eyes also fought for world peace by killing anyone who seems even slightly troublesome. They also took in a dog named Bond, and he could see into the future. This odd family of various powers is known as the Forger Family. A family of lies and deceit, but plenty of love and comfort as well. This family just worked and balanced each other too well. This family was going to bring about world peace. (probably)

In the apartment of 128 Park Avenue, the mornings carried on as usual as each family member filled out their roles of a typical family in the morning. Getting up, entering the kitchen making and eating breakfast and heading to their occupations. Luckily for Anya, her school, Eden College had a vacation day today, so she got to stay home today and enjoy herself. She slept in a little bit before she got up to eat her breakfast. Loid was already wide awake; he was usually the first one up granted he usually made breakfast since his wife was still not very experienced in cooking. He was still in his loungewear he wore to sleep in the morning which was a T-Shirt and shorts. He still had some time before he left for work. That left Yor. Who usually woke up not long after Loid, but something was making her run late.

She was still fast asleep, she gripped the sheets has she continued lightly snoring, but it wasn't long before she was woken by something. A small breeze came in through the window of her room that was open for some reason. The breeze came into the room and breezed through Yor causing her to shiver lightly. Then she sneezed, the cool air wasn't a good feeling for her. She opened her eyes slowly before she sneezed two more times afterward. She wiped her running nose before she pushed herself to get up slowly. It made her feel a little dizzy doing so.

"Ugh... W-What time is it…?" she groaned to herself wiping her left eye with her right hand.

Yor blinked a few times before everything in her room was visible to her. She noticed the window was wide open. "O-Oh no…! I forgot to close the window…!" she said a little frantic as she tried to get up, but a sudden dizzy spell hit her. She wobbled for a bit then shook it off and quickly closed her window.

"That was so clumsy of me…" she again said to herself. "What's wrong with me? I can't even live in my new home without doing something stupid… Some wife I am..." It felt a little warm in her room last night and Yor opened the window to let cool air in and hoped that would help. But she forgot to close it before she fell asleep. She was feeling extra tired from fighting off her last target.

Unfortunately, as a result, Yor woke up a mess in her beige colored nightgown. Her ebony hair disheveled, her nose running, her crimson eyes dull and her cheeks tinted a slight red.

She sneezed again. "Oh no… Did I catch a cold on top of all this?" Yor quickly wiped her nose and sniffled to make sure it didn't look bad anymore. "No. I can't burden my family any further because of my own incompetence… I have to be a good wife and mother and provide for everyone; so… I have to get to work." She wobbled a little as she tried to stand up and walk toward the door.

Mind over matter, Yor. You can take this. Don't burden them any more than you already have.

She walked out of her room fighting whatever dizziness she felt with every few steps. She was tough. She could take a lot as an assassin, there was no way this small cold would stop her.

She played dumb and walked into the main area of the house to greet her husband like she always did, but somewhat trying to hide from his eyesight. "Good morning, Loid." she said in her best voice trying to pretend to be okay.

"Good morning, Yor." Loid replied. "Breakfast is almost ready; can you wake Anya up?"

Before she could answer back, Anya came below her wiping her little green eyes. "I'm awake Papa…"

"Good morning, Anya just because you have a day off today doesn't mean you can sleep in, now you and Yor go wash up and then come eat." Loid instructed.

"'Kay…" Anya responded still groggy.

Yor nodded quietly as her and Anya both entered the family bathroom. Anya stepped on her stepstool to the bathroom sink and washed her face and dried it off. Yor followed suit once Anya began brushing her teeth.

Surely washing her face would refresh her. Right?

Wrong.

She pulled her bangs back with the usual headband she wore and begun to splash water on her face. She felt another sneeze coming. She quickly grabbed the hanging towel and put it to her face and let out a muffled, but still very loud and clear;

"Achoo!"

Anya turned her head to face her after this.

"Bless you, Mama." Anya responded with her toothbrush still in her mouth.

Yor moved her face slightly as she wiped it with the towel, now also covered in her snot.

No! How embarrassing! Now I'll have to wash this later…

"Th-Thank you, Anya…" Yor responded sheepishly as she slowly emerged from the towel. Mildly groaning in frustration.

Oh why do I have to be sick at a time like this?! And in this house to make trouble for my family... I'm the worst...

Anya's eyes went wide as she heard her mother's inner thoughts loud and clear. Continuing hearing her thoughts complain that her head hurt but to keep herself composed regardless.

Mama's sick?!

The telepathic girl now knew her normally strong mother's health was in rough shape, clearly pushing herself, and she wanted to help her. But she couldn't make her suspicious of her mind reading powers. She finished brushing quickly spitting in the sink and looked Yor's way.

"Mama, are you okay? You don't look so good…" Anya asked worriedly. Though anyone could tell Yor was out of sorts just by looking at her.

Oh shoot, Anya's onto me! Play dumb Yor…!

"I-I'm okay Anya, I'm sure it was just someone talking about me…" Yor responded awkwardly chuckling.

Mama's a liar.

Anya refused to give up. She remembered a time back when she was sick, the first thing her parents did was check for a fever by placing their hands to her forehead. And she remembered them saying she was either hot, burning up, or warm.

"Mama, bend down, lemme touch your head to see if its hot." Anya responded.

"There's no need for that Anya… I feel fine! Really!" Yor responded seeming a bit panicked. As dizzy as she felt, there was no way she didn't have a fever. She had to escape somehow.

"Mama!" Anya whined.

"I-I have to get ready for work now, okay? Tell your father I'll be skipping breakfast." Yor quickly escaped Anya before she could be interrogated further rushing back into her room and shutting the door.

Anya sighed at her mother's silly behavior.

Mama's so stubborn! She wants to work even when she's sick?

Then she went wide eyed.

Wait... If she's sick at her work job that's prolly okay...but what about when she has to be an assassin?!

Anya thought hard in her brain and pictured a childish yet dramatic scene of a tired Yor collapsed on the floor of an alleyway, as a big shadowy silhouette of a bad guy comes to finish her off with an evil laugh. Just before Yor's unconscious body was attacked, Anya snapped herself back to reality.

AAHH! Mama's gonna die if I don't make her stay home!

Anya was shaking her head quickly to get the thought out of her mind.

Either way, there was no hiding the truth from her. She had to do something. Anya knew her mom was strong, but a fever high enough could really cripple her. She remembered again that back when she was sick and was being tended to by her parents, she was told she had to stay in bed all day. And every time she tried to escape, Yor would tell her she had to rest to get better.

Oh, how the tables have turned. It was Anya's turn to make her mother rest in bed all day. A new mission! Operation: Make Mama stay home to rest and get better! Her mother's life may have been at stake. World Peace was at stake! She had to do it! Anya was the ONLY one who could do it!

However, Anya was well aware that she wasn't allowed in her mother's room. Not alone anyway. The last time she tried going in there, Yor stopped and scolded her. From her thoughts, she just didn't want Anya to find any of her tools for killing. So, she decided to use her father to her advantage. If she wouldn't listen to Anya, maybe she would listen to Loid. She got a look of determination as she walked over to the kitchen.

The family's big white dog Bond walked over to Anya to give her a good morning lick.

Anya started giggling. "No Bond! No doggy kisses now! I'm on an important mission!" she laughed before she continued on her way. Bond curiously followed.

She walked over to her father's feet with Bond in tow. Both of them looking up at him.

"Hey, Papa?" Anya called out.

Loid didn't look down her way. "What is it, Anya?"

"I think Mama's sick." She responded.

"Yor is? What makes you so sure?" he asked, now looking down at her. That got his attention.

"She sneezed in the bathroom and her face looked all red."

"She might have just been embarrassed by it. I'm sure she's fine." He turned back to his current activity of making breakfast.

Anya got annoyed; her dad was just as stubborn as her mom. She grappled her father's leg and pulled it. Loid almost dropped an egg but successfully caught it. "Wha-?!"

"Papaaaa! Come look at Mamaaa!" Anya whined pulling his leg.

"Anya! Stop that now!" Loid scolded.

"Not until you go check Mama!" Anya retaliated. "You're a feelings doctor! Go check her!"

Bond began to bark to support Anya in her endeavor.

Loid groaned in annoyance at all the noise. This kid and dog were going to be the death of him.

"Alright, alright. I'll go have a look at her." He gave in as he placed his hand onto his daughter's head. Anya and Bond both calmed down at the man's surrender.

"Okay! Mama is in her room!" Anya said as she grabbed her father's hand. "C'mon let's go!"

"Alright I'm going I'm going!" Loid said being dragged along by his daughter and Bond once again followed.

The three of them arrived at Yor's bedroom door. Loid knocked on it.

"Yor? Are you okay in there?" he asked. "Anya told me you weren't feeling well."

"I'm fine…!" Yor responded from behind the door "Don't come in…!" her voice sounded scratchy.

Loid was now suspicious. She didn't sound like herself at all. He knocked again.

"Yor, open the door."

"No."

"Open it, Yor!"

"No! I'm getting ready for work now, so could you please lea-"

Yor's sentence was cut off by coughing.

"Yor, I'm coming in." Loid said with a firm tone. He opened the door to see Yor sitting down on her bed still coughing and clearly struggling to put her work uniform on. Her face was flushed, and her forehead looked shiny. She was sweating. She managed to button her white shirt and was trying to put on the vest. But to no avail. Her body was shaking a little. She was not well at all.

Yor looked over Loid's way when her coughing died down.

She looked at him with her eyes watering a bit at a loss of what to do. "L-Loid… I…"

"Yor, don't move." Loid said as he sternly walked over to her. Anya and Bond watched from the doorway.

Yor internally panics as Loid came closer to her. Soon his face was only inches from hers. Yor's face turned a deeper shade of red. Was he going to kiss her? She wanted to push him away as she always did but she just didn't have the strength to do so. She shut her eyes tightly and accepted her fate. The whole time Anya was reading her mind and smirking.

But alas it wasn't what she expected, as Loid presses his forehead gently to hers Yor slowly opened her eyes as her husband spoke.

"You have a fever, Yor." Loid responded looking stern, but with a small hint of worry in his clear blue eyes.

"I…" Yor coughed a few times as Loid quickly pulls away from her. "I'm sorry…"

Anya came in with Bond and faced her mother.

"Aha! I knew it! Mama, you ARE sick!" Anya shouted pointing at her like some detective that solved a case.

"Yes, Anya. I am…" Yor responded softly, feeling utterly defeated. "You caught me..."

She had to go tell Loid, didn't she? Anya's too smart for me…

"Ya know, good Mamas don't lie to their kids!" Anya responded feeling a bit smug.

Yor began to tear up. "I-I'm so sorry…" she meekly replied sniffling. This naturally caused her nose to be even more stuffed up. The congestion in her voice was showing. "I'm such a bad mother…"

This earned Anya an immediate look of disapproval from her father. "Anya, you stop that right now." Loid sternly scolded her. "Don't give Yor a hard time."

Anya flinched at her father's angry tone then looked over at Yor still quietly sobbing, feeling guilty for making her mother cry. "Sorry Mama…" she said regretfully bowing her head.

Loid sighs then walked to the bathroom to grab a tissue then comes back gently puts it to Yor's face. "Let it out Yor."

Yor blew into it coughing again afterward. "Th-Thank you..." she responds hoarsely.

Loid looked at Yor in the eyes, looking a little stern.

"Yor, get out of those work clothes and back into your sleepwear. You're not going anywhere."

"But I…"

"No buts. You're sick. You're staying right here." He declared in a firm and stern tone. "Doctor's orders."

Yor sighed giving into Loid's demands. "Fine..."

"Back to bed with you Mama! You need your rest!" Anya said literally repeating the words Yor said to her when she tried to escape from her own sick day a while back.

Her mother sighed. "All right…" she began to remove her work uniform, then blushed a deeper red than her fever. "U-Umm… Do you guys mind…?"

Loid blushed a little bit then quickly shook it off as he nodded. "Come on Anya, let's go finish breakfast."

Anya nodded. "Come on Bond!" Bond responded by trotting after her.

The door closed behind them leaving the sick woman all alone.

Yor sighed as she continued to undress herself. It took her a bit longer than usual to change herself back to her nightgown but she couldn't ask Loid for any help. That would've been far too embarrassing. After some time, she finally was back in her nightwear and red slippers. Then she knew what she had to do next.

"I have to...call in sick for the office."

Yor walked over to her desk and sat down on the chair. She took the small phone on it and dialed the number of her day job.

A man was on the other end of the line.

"Hello?"

"Boss? It's Yor..."

"Yor? You sound terrible, are you alright?"

"Not exactly... I caught a cold today and can't come in... Can you have someone else take my place?"

"Sorry to hear that. You do work very hard Yor, and you deserve some downtime. Please get some rest today and feel better soon."

"Thank you sir, I will... Goodbye."

Yor hung up the phone.

"Well..." she said sniffling a bit. "That one was easy..."

She then grew anxious.

Now I have to call 'them' next.

She quietly dials the number of GARDEN, the assassin organization she was a part of.

I have to be extra quiet. I can't let Loid or Anya hear me.

The phone was dialing for a bit and soon there was a deep voice.

Her boss that she called "shopkeeper" was on the other end of the line.

"Well now, this is a surprise. To what do I owe the honor, Thorn Princess?"

Yor made sure to be quiet in her reply. She nervously gulped and began to speak.

"H-Hello sir, I-" Yor was immediately cut off by another bit of coughing.

"Oh my, is our prickly little rose feeling a bit wilted today?"

"Very funny, sir..." Yor responded sniffling a bit.

"Hm. A cold I presume. Let me guess, you're asking for the day off."

"Y-Yes sir... I'm really sorry..."

"...I'll only ask you this. Are you running a temperature?"

Yor knew Loid said she did, but she decided to feel her own forehead to make sure.

"...Yes I am." she responded when she found out taking her hand off.

The phone was silent for a few moments.

"Fine. I can't have one of my best perform at her worst, and possibly go to her death out of being weak and careless. Rest, drink fluids and recover quickly."

"Yes. I will. Thank you."

The opposing line was cut.

Yor sighed hanging the phone up.

He's as stern as ever I see. But at least he let me stay...

Then she stared over at her door.

I really hope my family didn't hear any of that.

Oh right, speaking of my assassin work!

Yor slowly got back up again. There was one other thing she had to take care of before Loid and Anya came back in.

~ 20 minutes Later~

After Loid and Anya finished their breakfast and gave Bond his share, Loid was all dressed and ready for work. He then helped dress Anya in a relaxing casual outfit for her day off. They walked over to the small hall of their apartment and knocked on Yor's door again.

"Hey. Can we come in?" Loid asked.

"Yes…" Yor responded in a mild rasp.

Loid and Anya walked in to see Yor in her nightwear sitting on the edge of her bed slowly brushing her messy hair. She had just finished calling both of her jobs to call in sick for the day. She also used whatever strength she had in her to hide her tools, poisons, and weapons knowing her family would be coming into her room more today. She didn't want anybody possibly snooping while she was asleep.

Her face looked even more flushed than before and her bangs were sticking to her forehead, her eyes were almost glassy. She looked completely exhausted. (from all the work she did a few minutes ago)

"Good Heavens, Yor. You look even worse than before. Anya was certainly right to stop you." Loid said looking at her pitifully.

Anya puffed her chest in pride and Yor just let out a small sneeze in response.

He walked over to her and placed his hand to her shoulder in a comforting manner. She blushed slightly deepening the already red flush on her cheeks.

"There is still some leftovers from breakfast. Are you able to eat anything?" Loid asked removing his arm from her shoulder as he spoke.

Yor shook her head. "Sorry... I don't think so. Not now…" She felt too tired and had zero appetite.

"Alright then. Well, I'm going to head to work now. I'll pick up some ingredients for dinner and medicine on the way home." He looked to his daughter. "Now Anya, you be a good girl while I'm gone alright?"

"I will! Cuz I'm gonna take care of Mama today!" Anya said happily. She figured there was no better way to spend her off day. "I'll be her stay-at-home doctor!"

Loid was skeptical at first. "I don't know if that's a good idea. I could just call her brother to come over to help her…"

Anya just cringed at the thought of Yuri getting involved.

"Nooo! I wanna do it!" Anya whined.

Yor was about to speak, but she quickly covered her mouth with her sleeve, sneezing again.

"Umm…I…I think Yuri would make a huge scene if he found out…" she responded feeling a little unsure about the idea as well. She was not in the mood for her brother's crazy behavior today.

Anya nodded in agreement. "Yeah! Let me do it please Papa? I can help Mama get better! Way better than Uncle Yuri!"

Loid sighed seeing as neither of them wanted that. If he called Franky to help, he'd have to pay him extra, plus last thing he wanted was his only partner in crime to fall sick too. He gave in and let Anya have her way. "Fine, you can care for her. But on one condition."

Loid temporarily left the room.

Anya's eyes sparkled then she walked over to her mother and put her hand to her leg and stroked it affectionately looking up at her.

"S'okay Mama, I'll help you get better!"

Yor's expression brightened up a little looking at her daughter. "I'm sure you will, Anya…"

"Anya, come over here! Don't get too close to her yet."

Loid came back holding a small light-blue surgical mask. As Anya ran over to his side, he kneeled down to put it on her face.

"If you're going to tend to Yor, you have to wear this. We don't want you catching her cold."

"Aww, do I have to?" Anya complained. She clearly didn't like wearing it.

Loid thought for a moment. How would he get Anya to agree?

"Well… if you really want to be a doctor, then wear that. Doctors wear masks all the time so they don't get sick from their patients. Plus, Yor's been coughing and sneezing, we can't have her germs spread on you."

Yor blushed in embarrassment by this covering her face a little. She didn't want to infect Anya or anyone else for that matter. "I'm sorry…"

"Okay, I'm gonna be the best doctor! I'll make Mama all better when you come back!" she responded a bit muffled due to the mask.

Loid nodded petting her head. "I'm counting on you, Anya." He then put on his usual work hat and walked out. "I'll see you both later." He said waving.

Anya and Yor waved in return.

"Bye-bye, Papa!"

Anya had the look of accomplishment on her face.

I did it! Mama's gonna be okay! And its all thanks to me!

Objective Complete. Yor was staying home where she would be safely nursed back to health. No dying on any assassin jobs!

But now that Loid was gone, Anya's real mission had just begun. It was time for her to take care of Yor!

Chapter End: God I just love this family... They're so awkward, adorable and perfect! ;w;
