One of Kirika's favorite things to do in the entire world was travel. The world was so vast and diverse that it would be impossible to see all of it in one lifetime, but she wanted to try to do it anyway. Of course, seeing it all by herself would be pretty lonely, so that was where her favorite travel partner and most favorite person in the entire world, came in.
Shirabe Tsukuyomi had been Kirika's girlfriend and travel partner since they had turned 18 and graduated from Lydian. The two of them had been been to all seven continents. Some for work, some for leisure. But lately she hadn't really had much time to travel. Shirabe had recently taken a position as Deputy Commander of S.O.N.G and Kirika was responsible for training a new generation of Symphogear adaptors.
But for this upcoming trip, Kirika wanted it to be different. She was tired of traveling with her girlfriend.
Kirika stretched out and laid her head on Shirabe's lap. Shirabe was watching nature documentary on TV, but Kirika knew that she was just trying to fill the empty house with noise.
"Say, Shirabe. I was thinking that we could go to Alaska for Christmas this year."
There was a 'hmm' of thought that came from Shirabe. She reached over to the remote and turned down the volume on the television. "I thought you wanted to go to Tasmania for Christmas this year? What makes you want to go to Alaska again?"
"Well, two reasons really."
"Two?"
"Yeah. I wanted see piles of snow again this Christmas, and…"
"And?"
Kirika got off her girlfriend's lap and extracted something from her pocket. She grabbed shirabe's hand and placed the item in it.
"I know you really liked Alaska when we last went, so I figured we could do something a bit different this time."
Shirabe stared at the ring in her hand, tears started to well in her eyes.
Kirika Akatsuki no longer wanted to travel with Shirabe Tsukuyomi, her girlfriend. Kirika Akatsuki wanted to travel with Shirabe Tsukuyomi, her wife.
