Chapter 3
Eyal smiled and he and Jai went to Ryan and walked out of the room with him and dragged him into a conference room, where Auggie and Tasha were already sitting. Eyal sat Ryan down and Eyal said "Hello Auggie long time no see how are you doing today?" Auggies said "Eyal what's going on, why are you here, how's Annie doing?"
Jai said "Hello Auggie long time no see. you lost your right to ask about Annie a long time ago when you decided to leave Annie to go and Marry Tasha. I also noticed that you're expecting your first child? how sweet you're happy, when our girl is fighting for life. If you care, she's on ecmo so her blood can get filtered in order to rid of the nasty bacteria in her system, and from her other organs from shutting down!" Jai had tears in his eyes,
Eyal continued for Jai and said "Joan called me and told me that she found Annie in her apartment unresponsive, because of her heart condition Joan called me because she knows that I'll always come when it comes to Annie. I'll drop whatever I'm doing to come to Annie's aid. Because that's what a good husband does when their wife down, oh and if you missed it me and Annie are married, but you would know that if you checked on her or even cared !" Auggie said "I didn't know no one kept me informed. I swear Eyal, can I see her?" eyal said "No neither of you have the rights to see her anymore because you left her. She might die because you two left her to have happy lives."
Ryan stood up in a total rage and Said " I thought you were Massod, you are only loyal to them, why should we trust you with her?" Eyal went towards ryan and said " you are so wrong I was loyal to Massod, but then I met Annie and I quit Massod because they made me use her and betray her trust and I would never do that to her again. Now there is only one person that I'm loyal to and it's her and our family. Do you even know what she's been through? No you don't, so let me tell you. She was shot in the kitchen by a trader that was in the agency, then she went to Russia to find the trader who shot her and her asset and in the end of that she was captured by Russians and nearly tortured to death I had to save her by myself, then she had to fake her death and I helped her do it that was one of the hardest things I had to do, because I had to wheel her lifeless body in a coroner's van and then I had to give her a shot so she wouldn't really die so, I did that and give her a file and watched her walk away from her life from everything she knew and everyone she ever loved. The next thing that I had to do was tell her she had a heart condition. That nearly destroyed me, it broke me to do that to her. And then if that wasn't bad enough I had to lie to the woman I love by telling her I was getting back with my ex-wife. I only did that to protect her! So yes I do care about her."
Eyal took a deep breath and continued by saying" So the only people that can see her are myself, Jai, Joan, Arthur and Annie's sister Danielle. because we generally care about her health." And we would never let anything happen to her. Now excuse us while we go check on my wife and we have to see if we can get her to wake up so you guys can go on and continue to live your perfect lifes and forget you ever know her because to me and Jai it already looks like that to us, so this is good-bye," Eyal and Jai headed for the door.
Just Then Joan came in and said "Dr. Miller is trying to bring Annie out of her coma by removing her chest tube!" Eyal and Jai bolted from the conference room, when are they enter the room they saw Dr Miller pulling out Annie's chest tube, Jai went over to Dr Miller and her got her out of the room, Eyal went to Annie and check her pulse, her pulse was weak but it was there. Eyal went into the hall and went down the hall Jai was right behind him.
Eyal went to the nurses station and saw a nurse and said "Hello my name is Dr Eyal Lavin, and my wife Annie Walker-Lavin is currently in your care under the care of Dr Sandra Miller she tried to take out my wife chest tube without permission she did this without anyone else there, she did this while they were in the cafeteria getting lunch,while me and my brother-in-law were in a meeting with the head of the hospital. Now would he be very happy to know that his nursing staff and doctors are trying to murder people on when organ and don't think I won't. Now I'm taking my precious wife out of your hospital care and putting her in a much safer and much better facility that's better equipped to take care of her. So thank you for doing absolutely nothing to help my wife."
Eyal and Jai walked away to Annie's room. When they got to her room they saw Joan and Arthur sobbing with Mac. Eyal Took the baby from Joan and went to go see Annie, while Jai knelt down Arthur was crying, Eyal turned his head and said "Hey it wasn't your fault I'm not mad at you!" Just then Joan's phone rang and she saw it was Auggie, Joan answered " Auggie what's wrong, what happened and where are you?" Auggie said "Everything was a lie Tasha left me and she told me that she never loved me and told me that the baby wasn't even mine. I'm still at the hospital, can someone come get me please and take me to my hotel?" Jai took her phone and said "Hey I'm going to come get you and we are going to come back to Annie's room and get her ready to go to Eyal's compound because the hospital staff are trying to kill Annie so yeah, sit tight I'm on my way to get you."
Jai left the room. Joan looked at Eyal holding Mac they were sitting down on the edge of Annie's bed. Mac was playing with her hair while Eyal was just watching her. Joan said "You're a natural with him. You must miss your son dearly?" Eyal smiled sadly and said "Yeah I do, but you have to understand something. I'm not going back to Israel, I'm staying here to be with Annie and my son Avi will be coming to live with us. Whenever Annie's better we will go get him."
Just then Annie shifted and tried to open her eyes. Mac started to fuss, Eyal just soothed him. He turned towards Annie and said "C'mon Neshama wake up." Annie opened her eyes and said "I knew you would come but, why I thought You Were with your wife? ''. Eyal shook his head and held her hand, he then looked in her eyes and said "After all these years, you should know by now that I'll always come when it involves you my Neshama, Rina and I never got back together, I just said that to protect you sweetheart, there was never any reconciliation. Plus I already found someone more important to me to drop whatever that I'm doing to come to her." Annie took here hand that Eyal had and rubbed her this and noticed the band on her ring finger Annie smiled and said " I have missed you so, looks like you've been playing my husband, why I'm not surprised?I should've known It wouldn't take you long for you to get my medical records if you were my husband!" Annie smiled and took Mac from him and then she took Eyal's hand and squeezed it. and said "you shouldn't have come all this way, I'm a burden, everyone leaves me, all the men that I loved leave me, and I'm going to die soon anyways so what's the point? Anyways I'm just a burden to everybody anyways."
Eyal closed his eyes and shook his head and said "Hey now don't ever say that you are not a burden ever, baby look I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere ever I'm going to fix your heart and you have the best support system ever. Your sister Danielle is coming later tonight you have me, Joan, Arthur, baby Mac, Auggie and Jai." Annie looked at him confused and said " That's sweet to think that Jai's spirit is here with us but he's gone he's been gone for 4 years now." Eyal nodded and said "Oh yeah I forgot anyways I do have something for you." He pulled out his backpack and pulled out some chocolate bars. Eyal said "I Got you Israeli chocolate, some new clothes, and something else but, I must have left it in the hall because it was too big to fit in my backpack. I'll go grab it and I'll be right back." He left and Joan came to sit with Annie, Joan smiled and said "I'm so glad that you're awake and alive. There's something you need to know." Annie handed Mac back to Joan she's then sat up worried and took out the I.V. that was in her arm and said "what's wrong, what happened, is everyone okay?" Joan smiled and said " Annie everyone is fine. The thing is you will never be alone you are family to us now and you also have your sister Danielle, your nieces, Auggie, and Eyal, now close your eyes, Eyal got the big surprise so just open your hand and relax everything will be okay I promise you." Annie did what she was told to do just then Eyal came back in and went towards the head of the bed. Joan went over to Jai and took Auggie and went to go sit next to Arthur.
Jai went over to the hospital bed where Annie was in and sat down. He then took her hand and said " It's so good to see you have no idea how much I've missed you!" Annie recognized that voice. She opened her eyes and immediately jumped into his arms and said "Oh my gosh, is this a dream or a joke I can't believe you're alive. How is this even possible? I saw you go to your car and your body getting blown up. And where the hell have you been?" She looked at Eyal with tears in her eyes and said "You saved him, didn't you?" Eyal nodded and said "yes I did, you should know that I would do anything for you and our family…" he gestures around them and Annie nods Eyal continues by now let's get out of here Neshama. Joan and Arthur Can you go sign her discharge papers and call her sister and give her the new address that we are going to, Jai and Auggie can you please pull the car around." They all nodded and left.
