Cory's first thought was that this guy was crazy. That he'd get himself killed in an instant. But only a second after Slappy sicced his zombies on the man, he was proven wrong. DEAD wrong.

The man charged and blasted a zombie up close in the head with his shotgun, then bringing out his katana to chop the head off another. He then whipped out two assault rifles and mowed down some more zombies. After hearing another zombie scream and run up behind him, the man only filled it with more bullets without even looking.

"GRRRR!" Slapy just about had enough. "FINE! If you wanted me to play, you just had to ask!"

He threw forth a green fireball…and the man held out a hand to make it STOP!

"W-WHAT?!"

With a flick of a finger, the men sent the fireball right back at Slappy, hitting him in the face before whipping out a crossbow to put an arrow in another zombie.

"I never thought I'd agree with SLAPPY!" Lisa added. "Who is this guy?!"

"That magic he has…I've never sensed anything like it before!" Conrad gasped.

"Yeah. He's a REAL badass." Randy added. "He's taking them out ALONE like they're NOTHING!"

Slappy managed to recover from the blast, even MORE angry. He was losing more and more slaves by the instant!

"Rise, my minions!" He commanded, holding the stone up high to summon more. "DESTROY this-!"

PSHICK! The man fired a grappling hook from his wrist and YOINKED the stone away!

"WHAT?! NO!"

The man grabbed the stone and the zombies stopped, as if in a trance.

"Get him, you IDIOTS!" Slappy roared. "GET HIM!"

The man only pointed to Slappy and snapped his fingers. And much to Slappy's shock and horror, they began moving TOWARDS him!

"No, NO! Stay away! I am your master! ME!"

"It's the stone…" Dylan realized. "Whoever has the stone controls them!"

"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!"

Slappy burst free with anger from the horde and flew up. He lunged at the man, who only kneed him in the chin effortlessly! Slappy shook it off, but no matter what kind of magic he threw, the man easily countered it!

"This…this is IMPOSSIBLE!" Slappy screamed. "Who…Who ARE you?!"

The man didn't answer. He only whipped out a strange high-tech gun and fired, trapping Slappy in some kind of gravity bubble!

"What the-?! T-That's MARTIAN tech!" Mirpo gasped. "H-How did he-?!"

The man aimed high and gave Slappy a two-fingered salute, then released the trigger to send Slappy FLYING with a scream! Using the stone, the man turned back to the zombies and commanded them to…drop dead. With a snap of his fingers, fire burned the corpses away…

And the man tilted his head to dodge a gunshot!

He turned to see one last zombie. One with a rifle, moaning as it reloaded. The man showed no fear, only readying a strange vaccine with a green liquid inside.

He raced forward, dodging more and more bullet shots before grabbing the zombie and getting behind it! It growled and tried to break free, but the man only injected the vaccine right into the brain, making the light in the eyes fade once the liquid was completely in. He then released the zombie, which dropped dead again.

He put the vaccine away, just standing here before turning to the Midnight Society, STILL in their other monster forms.

"So you managed to withstand an entire horde even when outnumbered." He said. "Not bad for newbies. Although…I guess you aren't newbies ANYMORE, are you, Midnight Society?"

"You…you KNOW us?" Cobalt asked.

"Oh, I know a lot of things." The man tipped his hat as he carried the zombie over to his bike. "I even withstood the Cosmic Rewind with ALL of my memories intact."

"Woah…" Jack Black gasped. "Uh…who…are you?"

"That, my friend, is a long story." The man said. "But I'll shorten it down."

He pulled out the pink stone, examining it.

"Have you ever wondered?" He asked the Midnight Society. "What if the legends weren't fiction after all? What if there were some truth in every mythology and folklore from around the world? You already know that vampires, werewolves, monsters and ghosts are actually real, fighting in secret battles in plain sight but hidden from the average person. Engaged in a secret war with the ultimate goal of either preserving their secret existence to avoid hatred, fear, and discrimination, or shifting our paradigm and taking control of our reality. To become the new dominant species on the planet."

He only took off his hat and lowered his bandana. He seemed like a young man, possibly in his mid-to-late 20s.

"Well, my name is Abraham Van Helsing The Second. The best Monster Hunter around." He stated. "And this is MY reality. And now…it's become yours too."

The shock that followed took the form of stunned silence. Sue ended up dropping her weapon, with Mirpo's jaw dropping.

"Don't worry, I only told HUMANS that I hunt monsters." The hunter chuckled. "In truth, my family has been defending both the natural AND the supernatural. Both from each other and threats from beyond these realms, dimensions, and the universe. We are the fine thin line between the normal and the paranormal. In short, I only hunt the EVIL monsters while defending the good ones. And I basically say that monsters aren't real to any wannabe hunter humans."

"Wait…you're…" Cory found himself gasping. "As in…THE Van Helsing?!"

"But…" Dylan added. "That would mean…"

"Yes." Van Helsing added. "All the greats are real, too. And from the looks of it…You've already met Dr. Jekyll. Hello, doctor."

"Uh…you're not gonna shoot me with a crossbow, right Abe?"

"And risk killing Palmer? Relax, Mr. Hyde. I know you've changed." Abe then turned to Lucy. "And you. You're a new one. I only recently discovered the existence of demons and to think that interbreeding with monsters, let alone humans, is even possible…guess I'll have to update my bestiary after all."

"Well…we DID learn that Frankenstein was a thing a few years back…" Eric Affabee added.

"Oh yeah, you met the doctor's great grandson, didn't you Robert?"

"...how do you know me?"

"It's hard not to. Giving how you wrote and fictionalized stories of many of the world's supernatural events. Plus, my father Alexander told me of his encounter with you and Jack."

"Wait, WHAT?!" Jack Black gasped. "ALEX was a Van Helsing?!"

"Yep. Pretty clever, huh? Although I think I could do a better alias than Victor Hendricks. Besides…wasn't it from OUR family journal that you learned that Sealing Spell, Mr. Stine? I guess you have us to thank for those Mystic Manuscripts and Monitors."

"That was you? YOU created the Sealing Spell?"

"Long ago. Back around the lifetime of the first of us, Victor Van Helsing, back in 1818. Speaking of Frankenstein, I should go pay him a visit. But first, I have to get Ben here back to a safe place."

"Ben?"

Cory turned back to the zombie body. It was starting to look less and less like a zombie. It was an African American man!

"No way…"

"We made a cure for just about any monster virus." Abe adds. "Next time you get bitten by a vampire or a werewolf…well, you know just the doctor to see. He'll wake up in a few minutes. I'll do the talking, then I'll make the short trip. As for the stone, well, I'll explain once the gang's all together. And maybe my family history first."

He boarded his bike, putting his fedora and bandana back on.

"943 Fear Street, right?"

"Uh…uh huh…" Zack replied. Van Helsing only sped off towards that direction.

"Man, this birthday of mine could NOT get any crazier…" Lucy groaned.

"Well…the night is still young." Cory stated. "Remember one of the rules of being a Hunter?"

"Expect the unexpected. Problem is, what I'm NOT expecting is just HOW unexpected things are gonna get…"
