Chapter 2

Unconscious Loki has been patched up with bandages and is left alone. Dellinger and Harisa observe from a couple of feet away but whisper about what they have just witnessed. "How is he still alive?" Asks Harisa.

"I have no clue," Dellinger replied. Harisa watches Dellinger as he paces back and forth. "It's physically impossible for him to survive in space without oxygen."

Harisa grabs a tablet and says, "I'll run diagnostics on him."

"I have a better idea." Dellinger takes out his dagger and heads to Loki. "Why don't we just kill him?" Harisa puts her hand between Loki's throat and Dellinger's dagger. "Dellinger, no! This is not going to help us find Colora!"

"So? Do you not remember what he did to her? The pain he caused her?"

"I know! And he will answer why he did what he did. But right now, our primary concern is to find the others, find Thor and Colora." Dellinger sighs, then put away his dagger.

"Now I'm going attend to him."

"Alright. I'm going to send out a signal to survivors and Thor and have them meet us at the safe house."

Harisa takes a step forward and asks, "But what about -"

However, Dellinger interrupts her, "Harisa. Don't you see? No one is left. Everyone, whoever was on the ship, is gone."

"What about Thor?"

"I'll look again, but I'm sure we weren't the only ones which might have received their signal. So I'm going to ask the Avengers and see if they have heard anything from him."

"Ok," Harisa replied. Dellinger turns around and leaves. As soon as he heads to the cockpit, Harisa turns to Loki and sighs. She grabs a piece of cloth and wipes the blood off Loki's skin. As she does this, Loki wakes up and holds Harisa's hand, which scares her. Loki opens his eyes and takes several deep breaths as he wakes up. "Loki!"

Loki hyperventilated, "Thanos! The Tesseract! The ship!"

"It's alright! It's ok; it's me! Harisa! You're safe."

Loki looks deep into her eyes and then lies back down; he takes a deep breath and sighs. "Where am I?"

"You're in our ship. We received the transmission and came as fast as we could."

"Did you -"

"No. There's no sign of Thor."

Loki shuts his eyes and sighs once more. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's my fault. It's. It's all my fau -"

However, before he could finish, Loki passed out. Harisa moves a strand of hair from his face and whispers, "Rest now."

As she leaves, in Loki's mind, he hears the sound of an Asgardian sending out a distress call.

8 HOURS EARLIER

In space, Thor is pouring himself and Loki a drink as they are talking away. At that moment, the door opens, and Valkyrie enters the room and announces, "Thor. I have an urgent message from a Man named Dellinger of Vanaheim."

Loki stops drinking as Dellinger's name spooks him. Thor turns to Valkyrie and smiles as he says, "Dellinger? I haven't heard from him for five years." Thor glances as he notices a look on his brother's face, seeing that he is hiding something. "Send the transmission through and tell him I'll speak to him shortly."

"You got it." Valkyrie leaves the room.

Thor turns to Loki, who looks more agitated, biting his fist. He asks, "Loki. Are you alright?"

Loki looks at his brother, seeing that he wants to talk. Loki sighs as he knows that there is something that he needs to confess. He replied, "Um, not really, no." Thor leans against the wall as Loki begins to explain his darkest secret. "Brother, you know I've lied to you about my "death". Well, you're not the only person who I've lied to about it." Thor crosses his arms and raises his eyebrow as he is confused by what Loki is implying. Loki sighs once more. "I uh may not have mentioned it to her."

"To who?" Loki tilts his head with a guilty look. Thor realizes who Loki is implying and is angry. "No. Loki, why didn't you tell her?!"

"How could I?!" They stare at each other for a moment. Thor sees the sadness in his brother's eyes. "I wanted to when I saw her after what happened, but Colora was so keen on leaving that I couldn't say no. Every day, I thought about her and hoped that she would return so that I could tell her the truth, but when her father came to Asgard to talk two years ago. I asked him about her, and he said she was no longer allowed to live in Vanaheim. Freyr wouldn't exactly tell me why. He could tell me that even though I or Odin forgave her, he did not. So he had sent her for the time being live on Earth."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"I know. That's what I thought. I asked Freyr what exactly Colora did to make him upset, but he refused to tell me. So I didn't pester him more about it. After he left Asgard, I asked someone to look for her, but they could not find her. Even when I told them all the possible locations of where she could be, they could not find her."

"Ready for transmission?" asks Valkyrie on the speaker.

Thor replied, "Yes. Send it through." Loki gets nervous. But as he tries to step away, Thor catches him and holds him by the shoulder. "Don't even." Loki swallows as he has a lump in his throat, expressing nerves.

On the hologram appear Dellinger and Harisa. "Thor," first says Dellinger.

Thor replied, "Dellinger. Harisa. How are you?"

"We're fine, thank you," Harisa replied.

Dellinger notices Loki from the corner of his eye and is pissed. "Wait, is that your brother Loki?"

Loki smiles nervously and nervously says, "Surprise. I'm alive?"

"I saw you die!" Dellinger shouts.

"Dellinger told me that you were dead," Harisa added.

"Oh, if I were there right now, I would kill you."

"Now is not the time. Remember why we called him."

Dellinger glances away to take a deep breath and calm down. "Right. Forgive me."

"It's alright," Thor replied. "Tell me, what is it?"

Loki notices that Colora is not with them, and something isn't right. He asks, "Wait, where's Colora?"

"That's what we want to talk to you about," Dellinger replied. He pauses as he looks at Harisa. Loki is afraid of what Dellinger is going to say. "Colora is missing."

Thor and Loki (especially Loki) are shocked and confused but are more concerned. "She's what?" Loki asks.

"How do you know?" Thor asks.

"One year ago, a group of followers, we don't know whose, attacked our safehouse and took her," Dellinger replied. "We've searched everywhere for her but haven't found her. Even Perseus's army can't find them. However, a few days ago, I received this message."

"Play it, please," Thor requests.

Dellinger plays the message. Colora pops up in front of them. Loki's eyes widen, and he breathes slowly. Colora begins, "Thor, I need you to listen to me carefully. The Earth and the entire universe is in danger. Thanos is after the infinity stones. He already has the gauntlet and has one of the stones. I need you to warn your friends at S.H.I.E.L.D. and also warn Vision. Thor, when you find any of the stones, hide them far away, where Thanos cannot find them. For if he has these six stones, nothing will stop him from changing the shape of our reality."

The transmission ends. Loki has a lot of emotions going on.

Confused, Thor asks, "How's that possible? Father kept the gauntlet."

"It's fake," Loki replied.

Thor turns to Loki, shocked. "What?"

"Most of the treasures father kept were fake." Frustrated, Thor decides to step away and slams his fist against the wall. "Now, let me get this straight. Both you and her family haven't seen her, and you haven't found her yet?"

"Exactly," Harisa replied. "We're doing everything we can but don't know what to do.

"Please, Thor, Loki, will you help us find her?" Dellinger pleads.

Thor sighs, then turn back to face them. He answers, "Yes. We'll do everything that we can do to help."

"Thank you," Harisa and Dellinger replied.

"Oh, there's also this message," added Dellinger as he sends them another message. "It was sent to us about six days ago, but it's voice-activated, so I'm assuming it will only answer to you."

Thor replies, "Ok. Thank you."

Loki turns to the window as he is scared that now Colora is in Thanos's hands.
