Clearly, the Unicorns were NOT as how little girls believed them to be. First of all, they had wings, like a Pegasus. They were sentient and were capable of speech, and they were masters of Ancient Magic.

And they were a benevolent race. Peaceful. And wise. They were like the Mystic Realm's very own gods. Well, given their lifespan, it sure seemed that way.

But rarely did they have outsiders from other kingdoms. When asked about their magic, only one such being had the strongest channeled within her horn: Queen Equestra. As brave as she was beautiful. A true warrior queen of her kind. It was she that ended the conflict with the dragons long ago, so that they could prevent the world from suffering the wrath of the Kaijus.

War nearly destroyed it. Now, it could threaten to do so again.

That was why Dina found herself, in her true lizard form, in the throne room of the crystal palace of Castle Novia. And Equestra was a sight to behold. It was almost a shame that Lisa wasn't here to see this. Her opinion on such "overwhelming cuteness" would surely change.

"This has not been the first time your kind has come to us for aid." Equestra stated. "Your line may have started here…but I can sense that you originate ELSEWHERE."

"Y-Your Highness," Dina began. "I am Dina Beckerson, and I am not of this world. I come from a distant land called Earth, where all life here is seen only as fictitious."

"So we are not real where you are from?"

"Y-Yeah. Hence my nervousness."

"You seek my magic, is that right? It is fortunate that you do not seek my horn. If broken, it cannot channel our arcane power. It's simply useless if we lose it."

Like a natural wand that's literally part of you. Dina tried not to get grossed out.

"Still…why do you desire it?"

"My…It's someone I love." Dina replied. "She…she was bitten by a vampire. But not just A vampire. Have you ever heard of the name 'Dracula'?"

The guards gasped and went into stunned silence.

"We…do not speak that cursed name." Equestra said. "Is…is he really back?"

"Yes. And he seeks to bring about the Eternal Night. Using the seven Moonstones."

"Stars preserve us…if this happens, none of us will be safe! The Dark Lord will bring war to our doorstep, and we are FAR from prepared!"

"My friends are trying to stop him right now. They're getting the stones before his army can. But in the meantime, my half-monster and half-demon girlfriend Lucille is losing her humanity. Your magic is part of a cure called Monster's Bane, and I need it to save her!"

Equestra paused. "Your true love…is female? And…a hybrid?!"

Dina nodded.

"But…YOU'RE…how is this possible?!"

"This is real life, not a fairy tale." Dina said. "You may have been ancient for thousands of years, but MY people have changed time and time again over such years. Love has even expanded BEYOND simply between males and females. I was taught that even though it may seem dangerous to some…different is the new normal. And being weird is a bit more fun than being ordinary."

"Is it…still possible to bear children?"

Dina felt her cheeks grow red. After some hesitation, she only replied "Sometimes…"

Equestra was silent. Demons were supposed to be EVIL creatures. And yet…

"How much do you love this…Lucille? How far are you willing to go just for her? What are you willing to do for her?"

Dina only thought. Back to all those memories. Of this life and the last.

How Lucy was the first person she met when herself again since her escape from the labs she was created in. How she showed herself as a fellow freak.

How they bonded as the first friendship she ever had. How Lucy accepted Dina for who she was. Dina remembered it all. Their moments together before and during the mission to Horrorland.

And then, they died and lived again. This time, Dina never had such a tragic origin. When she and Lucy met in the town of Hollowville, they were very young. They ultimately grew up together. Soon they became sisters. And eventually…even MORE than sisters.

Dina would NEVER forget that first kiss. Truly her teenage years were the most cherished memories of them all.

They dated for all four years of high school. Dina had held back her lust for years. This night, when Lucy was 18, which Dina herself would be in only a few more weeks, was supposed to be the best one of her life. Instead…REALITY happened.

But she couldn't give up. No matter how hard she had to hurt.

"More than all the clouds in the sky." Dina replied. "In the darkness, she's my light. I'm willing to travel across WORLDS for her. Just to feel her touch and warm embrace. I…I'd do ANYTHING to see that she lives, and that I live to see her again."

She sniffed, feeling herself cry.

"She's changed my life far more times than I could possibly imagine. She never gives up, and she's never afraid to do what she has to. No matter how hard or bad it'll hurt in the end. That's why I love her. That's EXACTLY why I love her. THAT is how much I love her. And…I…I can't lose her. Not this soon. I want to live my LIFE with her! I want to be strong for her, and I want her to be strong for me! And I am NOT letting the everlasting GOD of all darkness and nightmares take her away from me! OR our future! So please…please…please help me save her…please…"

Dina felt herself break down on her knees. How long? How long has it been? Has Lucy already turned? Was there no humanity left in her already? Was…was she…?

She couldn't BEAR to think about that. Only now had it entered her mind, and she was never more terrified. The image of Lucy sacrificing herself to get bitten played over and over and over again in Dina's mind. She didn't have to do that. But she loved her so much, just as much as Dina did. She really WAS her hero…

Finally, the Unicorn Queen had her horn glow a heavenly golden, and powerful magic came forth, taking the shape of a large orb the size of Dina's hands.

"Go. Take it. And hurry!" Equestra pleaded, having been touched on such an emotional level as the tears fell. "I have seen the future. If he is not stopped, there won't BE a future. Lucy has far more power than any I've ever felt before. She's the only one who can stop him…"

"T…Thank you…"

Dina began rushing out of the palace as fast as she could, with Equestra sitting back down.

"Spawn of the Dragon…Blood of the Demon…" She stated. "You are the lesser of two evils, Lucille. She's risking it all to ensure you survive. Stay strong…for you must do the same to protect EVERYONE you love so dearly…"
