Loki stands there staring at this variant of himself and is in disbelief. "You're what?" He asks.

"I'm you, but from another universe and from the future," Variant Loki replied. Loki takes a step back, still in disbelief at what he heard. "Wow. Even from another universe, I still look good."

Loki looks away for a moment trying to shake off what he is seeing and wondering if it is because he had too much to drink earlier. "This isn't real. That's it. I totally lost it."

"No, I'm real. I came here to help you."

Loki turns slightly confused by what his variant self means. "Help me? Help me how?"

"To save not only your people and your brother. But to save Colora." Loki raises his eyebrow at him, confused by what he meant by that. Variant Loki pulls out his scepter and walks toward him. "Come with me."

"Why?"

"Come on!"

At that moment, the Loki Variant uses the scepter to take Loki to a world he doesn't recognize. Yet, Loki realizes that the Variant took him to Asgard. His home. However, it is different from what he remembers. "We're in Asgard, aren't we?" Asks Loki. "It's a little different. What happened?"

"Thanos happened," the Variant replied.

Loki turns to himself and is shocked. "Thanos was here?"

"Yes. Five years ago."

"Wait? What year is this?"

"In your world, it is 2018. In mine, it is 2023." Loki is shocked at what his variant self said. The Variant turns, uses magic, and casts an illusion to show Loki his past. Loki takes a few steps forward as the memory of Colora of that universe appears. Loki is shocked and entranced by her. For she looks the same as the Colora he knows and loves. Not seeing Colora in over five years still catches his breath. "In my world, I was just like you. I fell in love with Colora. And like you, we were madly in love. We were with each other daily and never stopped caring for each other." Over the years, memories show Loki's and Colora's Variants arguing. Seeing this makes Loki extremely sad that this happened. "But like you, my anger towards Odin and my lust for power consumed me. My thirst for power drove us apart. After I told Colora the truth and that I had faked my death in front of her, she lost it. She left Asgard and never came back. I tried to apologize to her over and over, but nothing worked." Worlds changed, people were scared, and the Loki Variant ruled over Asgard with an iron fist. "So I moved on and did what I wanted. I took Asgard, ruled over several small planets, and made everything in my image." Variant ends the illusion and takes them to a particular memory. They walk inside and see dead soldiers on the ground. Loki is shocked. "Five years after I took Asgard, everything was fine. Until one day, Thanos came to Asgard. Demanding for the Tesseract. However, when I refused to give it to him, I sent my army to vanquish them. But they were killed. I was the only one who survived."

"What about Thor?" Loki asks as he steps forward, horrified and scared that something could have happened to Thor.

"Thor never knew about Asgard and what happened until after I sent the families to Earth for safety," the Variant replied. "Once I sent them away, and my army was vanquished, I was captured and sentenced to see Thanos." Loki turns around as he sees Thanos's children of darkness hold his Variant self. "When I was brought to Thanos, I knew it wasn't good, but I didn't realize how bad it would be."

Thanos approaches the Variant and says, "Loki, I am disappointed in you. You lost the Mind Stone. Surrendered yourself to "Earth's mightiest heroes." You're losing everything that you've ever had. It would be terrible if you lost something that means, or should I say. That meant so much to you."

The Variant is confused, concerned, and frightened that Thanos has a trick up his sleeve. Thanos looks to the side as one of the guards walks into the room with Variant Colora. Loki and the Past Variant are horrified to see that she is covered in many bruises and bleeding badly. Realizing that they have been torturing her. "Colora," Loki gasps. She whimpers and cries as they bring her in front of Thanos and the Loki Variant and Loki (to which she and the others cannot see him since it is a memory.) Colora is thrown down to the ground and yelps, knowing she cannot take any more pain. For the torture she endured by Thanos has made her weak. Loki Variant has tears in his eyes, and as he tries to get to her, he shouts, "Colora!"

Colora slowly lifts her head to turn. She begins to cry as she sees Loki standing in front of her. "Loki?" She gasps.

They stare at each other. Thanos slowly walks toward Colora's Variant and walks around her. "How precious," he says with a menacing grin. Loki watches as Thanos lightly touches Colora's hair. "I found her warning the military on Earth about my plan. However, I lured her into my trap before she could get to Avengers and kept her as my prisoner for five years." Loki is horrified as Thanos explains how he captured her. "Now, I will give you one last chance, Loki. The Tesseract, or watch her die." The Variant is shaken by his command as well as Loki. "I am assuming you have a preference."

"No!" Loki gasps.

Loki Variant pleads, "No! Please!"

"It's too late for that!" Thanos shouts. "We made a deal! You failed to keep your word, and now you will either pay the price by watching her die. Or you will give it to me; then I will let you and Colora go."

Both Loki and his Variant self are afraid. "Loki…Don't," Colora pleads as tears fall on her cheek.

Loki's past self looks at Thanos, then back at Colora, for he cannot make a sound. Thanos raises his eyebrows and sees true fear in Loki's eyes. Colora is frightened, knowing he is conflicted about doing what he wants. Thanos looks at Colora, grabs her by the throat with his hand, squeezes her throat, and begins to choke her. Loki is horrified at what he is seeing. Colora's Variant puts her hands around Thanos's to try one more time to stop him but can't. Thanos stares at Loki's other self, knowing he is conflicted about choosing what to do. Loki and his Variant breathe heavily as they see that she will not make it if Thanos continues choking her. "ALRIGHT!" Shouts the Loki Variant. "STOP! STOP IT! PLEASE!" Thanos stops and turns to Loki. Colora struggles to breathe as she tries to free herself from his grasp. "I'll give it to you! Just let her go! Please. She's all I have left."

"After you give it to me," Thanos replied. Loki watches as his Variant self pulls out the Tesseract once more from his hand with magic. Thanos then drops Colora to the floor. Once he lets go of her, she coughs as she tries to breathe again. As the Loki Variant slowly approaches Thanos, he stares at Colora as she recovers and stares at him. Thanos takes the Tesseract from Loki's hand and smiles. As Thanos crushes the Tesseract with his hand and puts it in his gauntlet, the Loki Variant rushes to Colora and looks at her as he tries to apologize with his eyes. They turn and watch as they see that Thanos now has the infinity stone. Next, they turn to each other once more and embrace each other. "Thank you, Loki. You have made the right choice."

Loki stares at Thanos nervously, knowing he is uncertain about what Thanos will do next. Thanos looks at his followers with his eyes and then looks down at Colora. Loki realizes that he is not going to keep his word. His past self is pulled back by his Children as Colora sheds tears. The past Variant shouts, "No. No! You said you would let her go!" Colora's Variant looks down with sadness, and turns to look at Thanos with tears in her eyes as he takes her by the neck and strangles her once more. "NO! LET HER GO! PLEASE! LET HER GO!"

Thanos glances and glares at Loki. As he strangles her, Colora makes one final attempt to say something. "He didn't lose everything," she mutters. "You did. You have lost everything. And you. You. Will…" Before she could finish her sentence, Colora gasped for one last bit of air, and then she died at Thanos's hand.

"COLORA!" Loki's past Variant screams in horror. "NOOOOO!" Loki is horrified and shocked. Thanos drops her to the ground. Loki's other self is screaming and crying as he sees that the love of his life (even Loki) died because of his choices. Thanos signals his children to let go of Loki's other self, and they do. Once they release him, Loki's other self rushes to Colora and holds her in his arms. "No. No. No. No. Colora! Come on. You can't do this! Don't leave me! Colora, please! I love you!" However, it is too late. The variant leans on Colora and weeps on her while Loki stands there, horrified at what he has witnessed.

"Too bad," sighs Thanos. "If you had done what I asked, none of this would have happened. You two could have been happy. Be rulers of the realms. Have a family. But everything comes with a price." Thanos walks behind Loki's past self and puts his gauntlet behind Loki's head. "Now, you will die."

The past Variant slowly looked up with anger in his eyes and replied, "I would like to see you try." Thanos is confused as well as his followers by what he meant. Suddenly, Loki's past Variant uses his daggers to get his goons and Thanos. He quickly takes Colora's corpse and disappears. After he disappears, Thanos notices that Loki vanished with the body. He turns to his children and commands them, "Find him! Kill him!"

Loki's Variant shifts to the memory for Loki to see that they are on Earth. Loki's past self stumbles to the ground with Colora's corpse in his arms. The Variant sighs and says, "After I arrived on Earth, I couldn't bear to leave her." The past Variant is holding Colora tightly in his arms. "I wanted to destroy it. But I couldn't. I was afraid. I didn't want to lose her. But he killed her. He killed Colora. Right in front of me. I didn't know what to do. I just remember sitting there, holding her. Until I heard a sound." Loki's past self looks up to the sky as the sound of thunder rolls. "I realized that Thanos had all of the stones and fulfilled his purpose." Loki turned his head to see that they were in Wakanda, and after a battle had been fought, people were disappearing. "People disappearing left to right. Some of them were the team. Even our brother, my brother in my universe, disappeared." Past Loki was shocked at what he saw in front of him and what he had endured for the last few hours. He begins to scream. "All I could think about was screaming because I felt like I had lost everything."

Loki weeps as he realizes that his future could be that way. The Loki Variant uses magic to stop the memories and takes them back to Loki's universe. "After that, I swore I would not rest until I had my revenge. So for five years, I looked for ways to stop him, but then I realized why I could help the team get the stones when I realized I could change my destiny. To help my other self and change what I did before they made a mistake. When I saw you and Colora and the path you were heading, I knew I had to help." Loki looks up at his variant self and sees a certain look in his eye. "I have seen what can happen to your future if you continue this path, and if you don't go after Colora, then you and Colora will surely have no future."

"What do you mean?" Loki asks.

"I can't tell you. But if you listen and do exactly what I say, then you save her before it's too late."

Loki turns as she sees a flash of light approaching. He then looks at his other self. "What do you want me to do?" His other self looks at Loki and stares at him.

A few minutes later, Thanos looks at his gauntlet and grins. His children of Darkness also grin. "If I might interject, if you're going to Earth, you might want a guide," interrupts Loki's Variant. Thanos and his children turn to see who they believe is Loki. "Have a bit of experience in that arena."

At the same time, Loki finds his way to another ship, puts himself in it, and types in the coordinates.

"If you can consider failure an experience?" Thanos replies.

"I consider it "experience" experience," Loki's Variant commented.

Meanwhile, Loki pushes a button, and the escape pod prepares to leave. "This is madness," he says as he gets out.

"Almighty Thanos." Loki's Variant approaches Thanos. "I, Loki, Prince of Asgard. Odinson." He turns to Thor as he knows what he will do is difficult for his brother to witness.

Meanwhile, Loki stares into space, thinks about Colora, and hopes she is alright. While in the background, Loki's Variant's voice continues, "The rightful King of Jotunheim. God of Mischief. Do hereby pledge to you, my undying fidelity." At that moment, the spaceship explodes, causing the escape pod to explode and making Loki drift off into space.

A few hours later, Loki continues floating in space, slightly conscious. At that moment, a light shines on him. Loki slightly opens his eyes and turns his head; as he recognizes the sound of a familiar voice. "Be careful," says Harisa's in a muffled voice.

"Make sure that the hydraulics are in place," replied Dellinger's voice, also in a muffled voice. Loki sees a shadow and then passes out as he is carried out.

"Colora. Colo-" Loki whispers as he falls unconscious as he is being carried to a ship.

Sometime later, Loki wakes up slowly as bright lights are around him. He turns his head as he sees the sun rising. He sits up and looks up as he tries to figure out where he is. As Loki does, Harisa and Dellinger enter the room as Loki gets up from the bed.

Harisa approaches him and says, "Loki. Easy. You don't want to hurt yourself."

Loki around some more and stutters, "Wh. Where am I? What happened?"

"You've been in a comma. For five years." Loki stares at Harisa, confused and shocked to hear that he has been unconscious and missed whatever happened within five years. Even more so, he is nervous that Colora is out there and that she still could be in danger.
