"GYAH!"
Cory dodged another machete swing from the Slasher before blocking a knife from The Shape. Ben fired at the zombie horde once again. The seven Killers were as relentless as always.
"Hahahahaha! You ain't going any farther! Time to die, bitch!" The Nightmare laughed as Lisa blocked both his claw and a knife from the Ghost with her blades. Frankenstein battled the Cannibal, chainsaw against hammer, as Hyde blasted widely with his pistol.
"There is no escape! The hour approaches! We'll tear your soul APART!" The Hell Lord roared as the Invisible Man phased through any chain that tried to pierce him. Psari spat high-pressure water at The Thing, and Cory found his mind racing.
The whole journey to the castle took only half an hour! 30 more minutes and the moon would turn red. And the sun would never rise again, as the world would be too coated in darkness for ANY light to reach it.
The Killers were only stalling for time. Trying to kill the team before they could reach Dracula.
Maria managed to electrocute The Slasher, stunned by Lynne's arrows, as Dina lunged at The Thing, lashing out with tooth and claw as Ellie cast fire spells at it. Lisa also knew that time was being wasted. They all did. But the Killers wouldn't let them by.
BANG!
A bullet to the brain made The Thing bleed out black, screeching and flailing around before finally going still, yet twitching.
"Am I a little late to the party?" Van Helsing stated, walking up and reloading his shotgun. "Never was a fan of those cheap 80s psycho killer flicks. I prefer the classics."
The Hell Lord sent forth his chains. Van Helsing easily shattered them with sword swings and chucked a cross enchanted with Holy Magic to vaporize the Shadow Demon. Next was The Ghost, but once the knife made contact with the armor, the weapon shattered. Without a murder weapon, all it took was a single punch to knock the mask off, making the shadow vanish as the Monster Hunter stomped on the mask to crush it.
The Cannibal yelled and swung the chainsaw down on Abe's head. Sparks flew, but the chainsaw couldn't cut through to get to the flesh. A backhand was all it took to shatter the saw, followed by a blade through the throat before an upwards slash downed the maniac.
Van Helsing broke The Shape's knife just as easily. The Shadow Demon tried using brute strength, but compared to Van Helsing, he was a drunkard fighting a boxer. A snap of the neck made the fake Boogeyman fall.
The Nightmare put up more of a fight. Slashing with dual finger claws, Van Helsing retaliated with claws of his own. Both hand ones and retractable blades on the wrists. Slicing off the arms and burning the Shadow Demon with more Holy Fire before he could regenerate was a surefire way to get rid of him for good.
Finally, only the slasher remained. Van Helsing only readied a special sword of his: One that was also part chainsaw.
"Alright, Mr. Voorhees. Let's see what you got…"
The chainsaw-sword clashed against the machete, sparks flying each time the steel blades clashed. The brute was strong, and could go on for HOURS! But he had seen the movies. One zap from the Creation Stone would just heal him. Maria's mistake was more like a minor setback.
Van Helsing aimed for the fingers to make The Slasher drop the machete. He impaled it through the heart next before pulling the blade out and decapitating the First Killer with one last swing.
The Shadow Demon faded away into nothingness like all the others, leaving behind only the hockey mask. Van Helsing only crushed that under his foot.
"Sorry I'm late. How much time did they waste?"
"About five minutes, come on!"
The Invisible Man rushed up the stairs, with Van Helsing taking point. They raced to the very top of the castle, with Van Helsing kicking the door open. There, they were met by a familiar face upon his throne. Along with a hellbat, a hellhound, three brides, a prince in armor, a pale assassin, a shadowy man, a ghost with an opera mask, a female mummy, and a mummy in golden armor.
"Ah…the Professor's most recent successor." Dracula said. "Impressive, how you've made it this far. No matter. You are already too late."
Van Helsing eyed something on the balcony: A large ray-like device, beginning to power up. The Moonstone Machine! The Dead Stone on the top, Deep at the bottom, Spirit upper right, Creation lower right, Curse upper left, Beast lower left, and finally, the Blood Stone right at the center. All lined up like the Death Star's lasers coming together to form that large planet-killing laser.
"In but mere moments, the moon will be in position. And when midnight falls, time will die. The hands will remain at the top…FOREVER."
"Unless we stop you."
"Unless? Perhaps I could use some amusement, watching you die trying to save your mortal worlds. One thing is for certain: I will ENJOY drinking your blood."
Dracula only held out a hand.
"Kill them."
The monsters roared and lunged as the resistance charged to meet them! Cory and Lisa dueled Lucy and Randy. Lynne, Ellie, and Dina took Dracula's three brides. Maria went for Bloody Mary and Ahmanet. The Invisible Man went for The Boogeyman. Ben went for Imhotep with Gill-Man's help. Van Helsing and Mr. Hyde went for Alucard and the Phantom of the Opera. While Frankenstein readied himself for a final match against Dracula.
"Alright, you undead freak." Frankenstein snarled, readying his green electric hammer. "I've waited a long time for this."
"You are but a HUSK of a mere mortal!" Dracula roared, conjuring forth his red fiery longsword. "Doctor Henry Frankenstein…YOU! BELONG! DEAD!"
"I ain't going alone, Prince of Darkness! Your friends here are going down for the Count! I've taken you with me before. I'm gonna do it again…"
Both monsters charged forward, finally beginning the long-awaited Monster Mash as sword and hammer clashed against each other.
The two titans of terror began their battle once again, green lightning meeting red fire. The fight of fright continued to intensify even more as the kings of horror battled for the throne. And for the fate of the world. All in this battle to the death.
In another clash, Frankenstein delivered a powerful headbutt to Dracula, stunning him before knocking him away with his hammer. The vampire quickly recovered, with Frankenstein readying himself with another weapon Van Helsing gave him: A double-barreled shotgun with silver bullets. With only one arm, he fired at the vampire, who only deflected the shots right back at the gun, shattering it!
Frankenstein roared as he felt the bullet graze him. Channeling the full power of the stone inside his weapon, and inside his very blood and body, he brought out the power he learned off back in the battle of the Keep to heal himself.
He blasted out massive green lightning at Dracula, who countered with red fire from his own arm. The ancient magic and powers clashed fiercely as the vampire advanced.
The clash broke in a tie, with Frankenstein staggering back and dropping his hammer. With a roar, he charged right at Dracula and tackled him, the vampire dropping his sword in the impact. He slammed two hands on the monster's back, but Frankenstein didn't stop.
The vampire felt himself get rammed into a wall, and then the monster delivered a powerful knee to the jaw, breaking it. Dracula heard himself roar in pain at this.
"You…YOU! I have had ENOUGH!"
He teleported in a cloud of darkness behind Frankenstein, healing his jaw instantly. The Monster turned and tried to land a dropkick, but the vampire only spread the legs aside and delivered a powerful punch that knocked Frankenstein into the throne, damaging it. The monster groaned and got back up as Dracula laughed.
"What's the matter? Does it hurt? Maybe it must be so hard being so…human…"
Frankenstein growled as the lightning enveloped him.
"You have disgusted me, your ONLY god, with this abomination for far enough, Doctor! I shall smite both you AND Adam!"
Dracula charged, and Frankenstein to meet him. The vampire only dodged another punch and delivered a chop right to the neck, denting one of the bolts there. He grinned, ready to strike for a killing blow…
BANG!
"ARRRGH!"
Suddenly, the vampire lord staggered back. The wound in his brain quickly regenerated.
"WHAT?!"
From a smoking barrel of a pistol, Mr. Hyde reloaded.
"Well, would ya look at that?" Hyde laughed. "The doc noticed that you were leaving yourself wide open when focused on a single opponent. Even when facing many at once, that window's still there, slightly open."
"You DARE?! I will drink you DRY!"
Dracula lunged, Mr. Hyde blocking a claw slash. Meanwhile, Frankenstein slammed his hammer down on the vampire's head, sending him to the ground.
"Sorry, but blood's got iron in it. Fatal, but given how you're immortal, I doubt that'll kill ya. Whaddya know, his smarts are rubbing off on me."
"Alright, I take a punch, you land one." Frankenstein said. "Is Van Helsing gonna be okay alone?"
"Okay? Heh. He's the best there is at what he does. He's got this."
Dracula rose as a cloud of smoke and reformed into a massive bat. He flew forward with a screech, Frankenstein slamming him with his hammer. He formed into a wolf next, but Mr. Hyde caught it and began to choke it with his belt. Dracula morphed into a rat to escape, withstanding a stomp from Hyde and throwing him off in his real form.
He dodged a hook from Frankenstein and retaliated with an elbow, but left himself wide open for an uppercut from Hyde. The vampire staggered back, realizing the pattern.
"So…you mean to anger me? To make me lose focus? You are still but mere mortal humans. Even YOU can do so much against a god. You can't possibly defeat me…"
Suddenly, something lunged from the open door, with Hyde quickly rolling out of the way to dodge it. The orange-eyed furry werewolf eyed the monster and vampire…and snarled.
"Hmph. Lawrence. You STILL refuse to stay dead. I can see that my children have left their marks on you."
Yes. He was scorched and scratched. But he was too wild. Not even demons could kill the Wolf Man.
The orange claws began glowing. Dracula recalled his sword, his eyes burning red as Frankenstein's crackled green, with the Wolf Man's glowing orange.
Van Helsing clashed blades with Alucard before knocking him back. It was then that both noticed the Big Three…
"Don't get your hopes up, human. Father is the strongest among them. The beast and abomination will be dead in seconds."
"Wanna bet?"
The Brides circled Lynne, Ellie, and Dina. The Bride stumbled back, panting as she recharged her lightning gun as Bloody Mary twirled her daggers. Ahmanet spun her double-bladed staff to the side.
The Boogeyman only smiled as the Invisible Man recovered from being thrown into a wall as the Phantom, the shadowy Fallen One, only laughed musically. The Gill-Man and Ben steadied themselves against Imhotep, who turned to the Big Three and smirked.
Lucy and Randy took notice as well, with Cory and Lisa still alive thanks to their Monster Armor.
And when the grandfather clock struck 11:45, the bell ringing through the throne room, the Werewolf howled as the three monsters charged!
