Tekken 3 (Tournament)

Operation Beast Hunters aka The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 begins. The usual number of 16 participants assembled in 8 pairs around different points of Mexico. Ones pursuing their selfish goals and others got into the competition's dark schemes.

Paul Phoenix vs Bryan Fury

The only history this fighting pair has as the 1st challenge. And they share their streets stage. This fight is choreographed like in their own part of Tekken 6 opening. For the sake of this canon Paul wins this bout.

Kuma vs Forest Law

Again sharing their stage. Even without martial arts bears are big, ferocious, durable and deadly beasts. Forest got careless thinking Kuma was a normal bear and received a Kuma Shinken claws severely scratching his skin, making the young Law succumb to his injuries and drop out of the tournament.

Lei Wulong vs Ling Xiaoyu

I neither favour Lei nor I hate Xiaoyu, but think about it. Former is 45 years old master of 5 forms of Kung Fu, plus his police career has made him to be at his fighting peak.

While Xiaoyu is determined to fight when needed. Even with training under the wing of Wang Jinrei for mastering Ba Gua Zhang and Pi Gua, and later under Heihachi Mishima for polishing fighting instincts, she is still 16 years old and unless she started her training as toddler (it was never stated she didn't but neither stated she did), Lei Wulong, due to his superior fighting experience, would figure out how to counter her attacks.

Sorry Xiao your dreams for building an amusement park are going to be postponed. Better luck next time.

Julia Chang vs King

King once underestimated Julia while she was in luchador disguise at Tag Tournament 2 and paid dearly for it - with his chance to win the match. And since this the first time he battles a female opponent I don't see why he wouldn't do that here either.

Needless to say that Julia got no time to play games as she got a mother to free. She battles ferociously but wisely and that gives her an advance to the next round.

Jin Kazama vs Panda

Only Jin knew whether the fighting bears or in his case a Panda, were habitual or unorthodox especially at the 1st round of the tournament.

As both familiar with each other through their common friend - Xiaoyu, that battle would be more or less a friendly competition to give everything you've got and may the best win.

Thank your devil powers since they still enhance your physical attributes, Jin. Because against fighting predators and deities, you're gonna need it.

Hwoarang vs Eddy Gordo

After serving 8 years for the crime he didn't commit, Eddy learns about the Mishima Zaibatsu bearing the whole information around the world. If he wins the tournament he might discover who were involved in his father's death.

In prison he learned the arts Capoeira so he could live to see his freedom.

Hwoarang had a mentality of a fighting hoodlum, encountered by Eddy various times. But the orange haired boy unlike the most convicts has learned the more professional fighting style: Taekwondo and eliminates Eddy from the tournament.

Mokujin vs Yoshimitsu

For some time before KOIF 3, Mokujin finds Yoshimitsu and Dr. Bosconovitch to warn them about the threat of Ogre.

Bosconovitch however has learned about the sacred samples of Aztec deity. If he'll work on them he might even develop a medicine to heal his scoliosis.

Mokujin warms about Heihachi's ploy, which gave the Manji a clue where to start the hunt.

And we're here for a fight.

To Yoshimitsu's surprise, the wooden doll imitates all of the current tournament participants. And OH BOY for first timer he does that too properly. And due to unpredictability Mokujin wins this bout.

Nina Williams vs Anna Williams

(Chuckle) you just can't catch a break do you Anna? Now especially against possesed Nina, the younger sister stood no chance and was lucky that Mokujin was nearby for an aid.

Mokujin vs Nina Williams

Mokujin was awaken to stop Ogre or aid the the competitors. His telepathic while cannot control surroundings, he can read minds and wooden dummy discovers that Nina is under mind control of Ogre

Having won the battle Mokujin frees the older sibling and tells Anna to take Nina away and get out of here and fast.

Ogre vs Mokujin

Because the villain of this game has returned. Heeding Mokujin's order the Williams sisters leave the battlefield, while dummy holds Ogre off, while he succeeded to prolong this fight so that Anna and Nina left, Ogre still wins this clash and takes Mokujin's spirit as prize.

Paul Phoenix vs Kuma

Well I don't know what else to add except the obvious.

Lei Wulong vs Julia Chang

(Sigh) Leave the choreography to professional writers. All I can say is, experience plays the role. Who exceeds? Lei Wulong.

Julia tells Lei to be careful, for she warns about the dangers awaiting ahead. Lei then asks why Julia is here. Having listened the explanation, Lei then promises to help Julia free her mother Michelle and lets her into his plan.

The hosted rematch. No interference. Both competitors have toughened themselves up. The battlers has clashed for advance to the next round. Having sensed the familiar and malicious presence, Jin warns Hwoarang

"This tournament is a bait to lure Ogre. Forfeit. Only I can stop him."

Hwoarang argues.

"Shut up! You think you're so special, just because you're related to some big-shot Mishima?! Trying to test your skills against a deadly monster?!"

Anger sure boosted Hwoarang abilities, thus making Jin to be on his toes or else he is done for.

Jin stands to his point.

"Ogre has victimised most of the martial arts masters including my mother. Before she died, she told me to search Heihachi and train under his wing. With his teachings and my powers I will carry out my revenge."

After trading blows. Hwoarang responded coldly.

"What do you know about loss?"

Hwoarang then tells about his life when he was an abandoned urchin, what kind of deeds he had to do for a bread, eventually getting caught by Baek Doo San.

Instead of surrendering the boy to the authorities, Baek took him in an taught him Taekwondo. Until Ogre appears.

Ogre vs Baek Doo San

Baek was away, training in mountains. Out of nowhere Ogre appears and attacks the master. The beast wins again.

By the time Hwoarang arrived here, Ogre was flying away from the scene.

Baek's demise caused Hwoarang to slip back into street fights. So that he could earn some bread. To this day the Taekwondo Ace constantly fights and trains to battle his master's murderer.

Jin Kazama vs Hwoarang

While appalled Jin reflected upon his and Hwoarang's life, the hoodlum continues

"Do you see it? Whether it's you or me who'll come out on top! You will at least finish college, find a job, built up your new life. And I will get eventual imprisonment or untimely death."

Having outlasted Hwoarang, Jin delivers a knocking out blow and goes advances to the quarter-final.

Bryan Fury vs Yoshimitsu

On his way searching Ogre, The head of Manji clan learns that Bryan Fury was watching him.

With his cover being blown, Bryan goes for the attack.

Ogre vs Bryan Fury

That clash attracts Ogre's attention. The deity did a severely damaging work of his latest prey. But since Bryan was cyborg, there is no soul to absorb.

Yoshimitsu vs Ogre

After taking the breather and studying his opponent, Yoshimitsu wounds Ogre with his sword, though not killing him. Having got the blood sample, he flees the battlefield as he knew he wouldn't beat the monster.

Paul Phoenix vs Lei Wulong

All I can tell is Paul was winning the match but Lei's plan is still in action.

Paul Phoenix vs Jin Kazama

Due to Mokujin's absence Jin automatically advanced to the semi-finals.

The Mishima Ryu in Jin's hands has overpowered the other rookies of tournament, but the veteran Paul Phoenix was prepared for it and outmatches his opponent.

Ogre vs Heihachi Mishima

At the Aztec temple, where it all began. Heihachi was planning to face the winner of semi-final, however Ogre arrived earlier and wins.

Paul Phoenix vs Ogre

Paul was astonished to face some green creature instead of the final boss laying unconscious nearby. Enraged for his match being thwarted he battles the challenge and wins although by scratch.

Putting hands into his pockets Paul finds a beacon in it. Not bothering much he threw it away. Looking around and seeing fallen Ogre, who defeated Heihachi, Paul concluded that hierarchically speaking he has beaten Heihachi Mishima and that means he won The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. Filled with pride Paul leaves the temple to his way home.

That beacon has brought Lei and Julia to the temple where they discover Heihachi's unmoving but alive body. Lei was putting the handcuffs on Heihachi's wrists. Shortly after he followed Julia searching through the temple and eventually finding her mother Michelle. Their celebration however was short-lived.

Ogre came back to his consciousness. The monster grabbed Heihachi's neck and absorbs more life energy and he transformed into his second form. Next after he flew into temple's depths finding his newest preys

True Ogre vs Lei Wulong / Julia Chang / Michelle Chang (Gauntlet)

Transformed Ogre did a very quick work of his opponents. Now he flew towards surface wrecking havoc once more.

Jin Kazama vs True Ogre

Until then he must remove Jin out of his way, who saw the recent deed. First his mother, later grandfather and now those people. How many will suffer if this will keep going. No. Jin vows that he will not allow that to happen.

It was hard fought battle, but Jin comes out victorious, killing the monster. As Ogre's body crumbles the absorbed souls scattered within and outside the temple.

On his way to the exit Jin gets jumped by the Tekken Force who opened fire. The last thing Jin saw was Heihachi pointing a gun toward him and delivering a headshot.

On their way out the Heihachi felt another evil presence behind.

Devil Jin vs Heihachi Mishima

The revived Jin threw around the military forces like ragdolls. And now the traitor was next. After giving the beating of Heihachi's life, Jin slams him through the temple's wall, dragging him down and fleeing away from the scene.

Eddy Gordo vs Mobs

Returning home. Eddy continues the job for his late father about the drug trafficking. Getting the clues he needs, he storms into the syndicate mansions. After beating them, Eddy discovers that they are just pawns as they reveal the identity of bigger perpetrator: Kazuya Mishima.

And what awaits me to write next for the part 4?

We'll have to wait and see.
