When Cory came back to Hollowville, he saw it recovering from the recent attack. A bit of damage here and there, but no major losses. The team here did all they could, and he knew that.

And ever since they had been informed of the Mystic Realm, the monsters in this town finally had a place of refuge. Now neither human nor monster had to worry about each other anymore.

In a more secluded part of town, Cory, Lisa, Dylan, Tina, and R.L. Stine were saying their goodbyes to Van Helsing. His work done, and the seven Moonstones secured, he was headed back to his mansion in Transylvania with I.G.O.R., Frankenstein, the Bride, the Invisible Man, and Ben.

"Again, thank you so much." Stine stated. "I'm not sure how much we can repay you."

"Saving the world is its own reward. And I did that for free." Abe smiled. "Don't worry. No one's gonna have the guts to steal them when they're at my place."

With the stones secured in his briefcase, he stashed them in the trunk of his car. I.G.O.R. was in the front seat, Frankenstein shotgun, with Maria, Ben, and Jack in the back. Van Helsing only mounted his bike.

"Plus, with that new alien tech upgrade, I.G.O.R. may never lose another arm ever again." The hunter added.

"Alright, wrap it up back there, buddy." The robot said. "Time we get this road trip on the road!"

"You go on ahead. I'll catch up."

The car revved up and drove off, a portal opening back to Transylvania. As the car went through, Van Helsing only looked back at Cory.

"Well…this has been one hell of a ride." He said. "You've come a long way ever since you came across Dead House so long ago."

"Wait, you…you KNOW?!" Cory gasped.

"I know ALL things supernatural. So yeah. Things tend to get around. Been watching you for a while. I mean, come on. Standing up to Slappy and kicking some ass? Who can say no to ignoring THAT? And Horrorland? THAT was something awesome."

"Not as awesome as this Halloween." Lisa stated. "So…I guess this is goodbye then."

"Goodbye?" Abe asked. "Who said anything about this being goodbye?"

"Hold on…you're gonna come back?!" Cory asked.

"Probably not. But that doesn't mean we won't be running into each other at some point in the future." Van Helsing smirked, giving Cory a book. "Mr. Waldhorn, you've made this town proud. Hollowville is in your hands now. I know Dylan is destined for great things as an eternal youth. Train him as I have trained you. Our time together may have been brief, but knowing me, we WILL meet again."

Cory only looked at the kid. Then back to Van Helsing.

"So…you've been training me?"

"Only when the student is ready will the master appear, Monster Hunters." Van Helsing tipped his hat. "See you around. Until then, partner. Just remember. Dare to be scared."

Cory only gave him a two-fingered salute. Abe nodded back, then revved up his bike and sped off, yelling "YEEEEE-HAAAAA!" and drove through the portal, which closed afterwards.

"And there he goes." Lisa sniffs. "Off to the next adventure. I'm gonna miss him."

"Me too, sis." Cory replied. "For now."

"Well…I suppose that was even greater than any story I could ever come up with." R.L. Stine chuckled. "The final monster slain. The mastermind thwarted. And the day saved for one final time."

"Yep." Tina smiled. "Fier won't be bothering us anymore with all those heralds!"

"But…the people KNOW now." Dylan remembered. "About the monsters. About the supernatural."

"Well, if they want to hunt monsters, they won't find any HERE anymore." R.L. Stine stated. "That reminds me…I guess it's all time we move on and head our separate ways. But me? I'll be staying right here."

"Good. Us too." Cory added.

The departures were emotional as they were heartwarming. With no more monsters to hunt, no more threats to fight, the Midnight Society had told their final story. And after nearly five years of operation, they finally disbanded.

Kruu Deep ventured back to her kingdom of Atlantis, with the Gill-Man headed with her. Finally, it had found a true mate.

Shadow House was the only home Hannah Fairchild had ever since she died. Now that it was gone, she chose to move in with her ghost family back in the Shadow Realm.

The Seven Deadly Sins returned with the rest of their kin to Nether. With their new queen living a life on Earth, perhaps they would not need someone to worship after all. After all, they had gone for eternity with a leader. Times were changing, so now would be the time to learn how to exist without one.

This world may have been saved, but evil would always threaten the Comic Book Dimension. Abandoning their secret identities, Super Duper and Arach-Kid ventured back home with the Galloping Gazelle, the League of Good Guys, Y's Guys, and all of H.E.R.O.

Finally, Tara and the Temporal Order had outfitted Mirpo's U.F.O. with a Chrono-Engine, allowing for time travel. Finally, the Martian could go back home. He had Sammy Jacobs and Brent Green go with him, so he could return them to their home year of the 41st century before heading back to 3000. The flying saucer became a bright light in the sky before blasting away.

More left as well. Billy to his home planet with his family, Tara to her order's fortress of Sine Castello, the Morgans back to their home country of England, Grady and Emily back to Fever Swamp, Zach and Champ to Madison, and Sarah, Sonny, and Sam back to Wardenclyffe.

A fitting end to a long story. But Cory had hope that they would meet again. After all, he didn't say goodbye to everyone.

Because some of his friends would still be here, in Hollowville. R.L. Stine would still be writing new books. Dylan and Tina would still be part of the Many Mysteries Club. And Jack Black would still be the high school drama teacher. He even considered making Ironheade the title of a metal band of his.

Life was finally back to normal. Well…as normal as it could get. They had only just begun to live happily ever after…but it didn't mean that it had to be the end.
