"Titus Drautos?" Noctis repeated, no one else on the boat noticing the dip in his voice.
"Yes, your Majesty." Libertus looked into the distance with a grimace. "No one had ever suspected our Captain would be the traitor. I never found out if he'd always been Glauca, but he had been a traitor for years according to some of the other surviving Glaives-he'd started their recruitment early."
It seemed ironic that no one knew about Titus' history even now, as they told Noctis of how he'd betrayed them, of how he'd been the one to murder his father.
If Noctis had been in Insomnia, would his life have ended at the end of Glauca's blade? Would Titus have used his trust to lure him into a trap before murdering him? But, no, Ardyn would have ensured he lived, so it might have been worse, Titus might have captured him and turned him over to them.
He felt sick, but the Glaives seemed to think it was the ride from Angelgard. Or maybe another way which he showed, despite himself, that ten years without physical stimulation was affecting him. He'd need to be better at hiding that once he reached the guys. And better still once he reached Ardyn.
"He died in Insomnia, then?" he rasped, fingers threaded together in front of him.
"Yeah, that monster took out my best friend, but he didn't survive it."
Noctis nodded. "Thank you for telling me. I had a lot of questions from that time."
"Of course, your Majesty. I'm glad I could give you some closure about that traitor."
