Akira had lost everything: his friends, his home, the love of his life and at the end his own life. But what happens when fate decides to give him a second chance at life? Now, reborn in a similar yet completely different world, watch as Akira meets new friends, old enemies from the past and discovers his new place in this world. Watch the rebirth of Devilman.

6. Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Show Must Go On!

The lights of the club shined in all directions, in a dancing pattern mimicking the movements of the people who danced in the main hall. Rather surprisingly, there were a lot of Beasts, some of them even in their true form, among the people dancing in the main hall. Heck, some humans were dancing with them or even drinking with them. The five half-devils had taken a seat in a semicircular couch with Akira sitting between Kyoko and Misaki and Takeshi sitting alongside his girlfriend. They had ordered a drink each, with the exception of Takae, obviously, due to her being pregnant. More importantly, they were discussing what had just happened a few minutes ago.

"Are you sure of it, Akira?" asked Takeshi, with a concerned tone while drinking some Gin he had ordered. The half-devil replied in a serious tone "Yes. That guy was a demon. I sensed it as soon as our eyes made contact." while taking a sip out of his drink.

"I sensed it too." added Misaki, with an equally serious tone "But…. He felt different. His scent was similar to that of a Beast and yet…. It felt completely different."

"That's because, like me, he's not from this world." answered Akira gaining a surprised look from Misaki and Kyoko. Then the orange eyed girl spoke "What do you mean not from this world?" with a perplexed tone.

Takae then chimed in and replied "It's complicated. Maybe we'll talk about it another time." while putting a hand on Kyoko's shoulder, calming her down. Then the younger girl spoke "I understand. Oh, well. Guess it's a story for another time." and drank what was left of her drink.

At that moment a new song was played by the DJ and the lights changed colour and pattern. The heavy guitar of the song, and the percussion thrilled Akira and he spoke "Mmmm, i like this song! Such energy!"

"Mmmm…. Never heard this one before but it sure is catchy." added Takeshi, just as impressed as Akira by the song. Then he shared a look with Akira before saying "You thinking what i'm thinking?" earning a nod from the black haired devilman.

With a devious smile, Akira shouted "LET'S GET IT ON!" and grabbed Kyoko by the waist and lifted her up, putting her on his shoulders, causing her to blush intensely. "W-What are you doing?!" she spoke, with a very embarassed tone.

"Isn't it obvious? WE'RE GONNA OWN THE DANCE FLOOR!" Shouted back Akira, his bold and savage attitude charming Misaki and causing Kyoko to chuckle. Then the red-eyed girl came alongside Akira and spoke "Then may i join you too?" with longing in her voice. Akira then put an arm around Misaki's shoulders and replied "Sure, babe." causing Misaki to blush as well. "NOW LET'S RAISE SOME HELL!" he shouted, making the two girls laugh intensely.

Takeshi and Takae sweat-dropped as Akira and the two girls walked towards the dancing floor. "Well, talk about showing off. I think he's had one too many drinks." spoke Takae with an awkward tone.

"Well we can't let him steal the show, now can we? Come on, let's show him what we've got." added Takeshi, earning a nod from his girlfriend. Then he took her hand, pulled her out of her seat and they went after Akira and the two girls. Right as Akira put Kyoko down, the lyrics of the song began to play out.

"I BET YOU CAN'T SEE WHY I'M DOING THIS,

BUT I'M NOT IN IT FOR MONEY,

I'M A GAMBLING MAN AND I DON'T CARE,

THE SHOW CARRIES OOOONNNN,"

Akira and the two girls were dancing intensely at the powerful lyrics of the music, swinging their arms left and right, swiveling their body and their hips back and forth. Soon,Akira bumped into Takeshi, who was dancing with his girlfriend, and the latter shouted "DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE GOOD AT DANCING TOO!" to which Akira replied "I KNOW! THAT'S WHAT DANCING EVERY WEEK-END DOES FOR YA!"

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE WILL BRING,

I HOPE ALL THE TROUBLE IS WORTH IT,

MY LIFE'S IN MY HANDS AND I DON'T CARE,

THE SHOW CARRIES OOOONNNN,"

Continued the lyrics of the song, with Misaki and Kyoko now dancing right in front of Akira, mere centimeters away from him, while he threw his arms up and kept waving his athletic body left and right, alluring the two young girls even more. Takae and Takeshi were now dancing while holding each other, with Takae's left arm on Takeshi's shoulder and the right on his side, and Takeshi holding his girlfriend in the same exact way.

"THEY SAAAAIIID, YOU'D NEVER MAAAKE IT,

THEY SAAAAIIID, YOU COUDN'T TAAAKE IT,

AND IN THE NIIIIIIGHTIME, WHEN YOU'RE SHINING LIKE A STAAAAAARRR

THESE PEOPLE WILL CALL YOU FRIEEEEND,

WAIT TILL THE EEEEEENNNND!"

As the song was reaching its climax, so was Takae and Takeshi's dancing, with Takeshi leaning forward his girlfriend and Takae, throwing up one of her legs in the air while being held her boyfriend. Akira now started to perform some advanced moves, such as 2.5 twists, V slices, and side swipes and doing 360 jumps, gathering the attention and the praise of some of the other people and beasts in the crowd.

"Damn! That guy's good!" shouted a horned humanoid beast.

"You can say that again! Haven't seen someone dance with such fluidity in a long time!" added a human gangster in a suit.

"That was killer!" shouted Misaki, in awe at Akira's prowess as a dancer. He made all those moves look easy.

"HE'S SOO GOOD!" shouted Kyoko as well.

"THE SHOW MUST GO OOOOONNNNNNNNNNN!"

But as the song reached its climax, Akira was pulled out of his dance by the sound of two human people who were about to get into a fight.

"THE FUCK DID YOU SAY?!" shouted a young man with a mohawk.

"YOU HEARD ME RIGHT, YOU SHIT FOR BRAINS! WHAT KINDA MORON DONS ITS HAIR LIKE THAT IN THIS DAY AND AGE?!" spat back an older man with a pompadour wearing a trenchcoat. Both men were obviously drunk, and as such weren't 100% aware of what they were doing.

"THAT'S IT! I'M GONNA FUCKIN' BREAK YOUR FACE!" shouted the younger man, preparing to charge the older man.

Unfortunately said man, was not alone. With a snap of his fingers, he gathered 3 more men dressed similarly to him,obviously his friends. "Try it, bitch." he taunted, causing the guy with the mohawk's anger to quickly turn into fear.

Before long, the four thugs were beating the crap out of the guy with the mohawk. Akira, knowing full well what happened last time blood was shed in a club, quickly stepped in, to stop the fight. Acting quickly he shoved the 4 thugs off, putting himself in between them and the guy they were beating up.

"Akira?" spoke Kyoko with a worried tone, after watching him storming off, to stop the brawl that was about to escalate.

"What the hell's he doing?" spoke Takeshi, himself just as startled by what was going on.

"Shame on you. To gang up on someone just because he didn't like you insulting his hair." spoke Akira, indignated by the thugs's behaviour.

The four, were not impressed by Akira's intervention however. One of them stepped forward and spoke "And who the fuck are you?" in an obviously annoyed tone.

"Stay outta of it. This does not concern you. And i will not repeat myself." added the leader of the four with a menacing tone

Akira sighed. Who did these guys think they were, to interrupt such a beautiful party?

"Right, so here's the thing. Normally i would stay out of other people's business….." began Akira, with a smug, devious smile, as the four thugs had now surrounded him "But you see, i was enjoying myself with my friends, until you dickheads butted in." he continued, with his fangs now visible in his mouth "So i'll give you this one chance: leave this place at once and i promise that i won't mess your faces up."

"Oh boy. Things are about to get reaaallly interesting" spoke Takae, with a grin. She was going to enjoy this.

Akira hoped that by showing his fangs, he would scare off the four thugs. He got the opposite reaction. "DON'T GET TOO COCKY JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A BEAST!" shouted the leader of the four thugs, before they charged at him. "YOU BROUGHT THIS UPON YOURSELF!" Added another thug.

Then the four thugs started to throw punches and kicks, at the half-devil, only for Akira to avoid every single attack with minimal effort, causing the four thugs to get nervous.

"What's wrong? Having second thoughts?" taunted Akira, after noticing the four thugs's aggressiveness turning into nervousness at the thugs's inability to hit him. This caused the leader's anger to turn into pure fury "GET HIM!" he shouted. Then the four lauched themselves at Akira at the same time…..

…. only for Akira, to bring down his left elbow on one of them's head, knocking him down, back-handing another one in the face with his left hand, pushing another away, sending him tumbling towards a table, and finally grabbing the leader with his right hand, and punching him in the face with his left. All of this happened in just 10 seconds.

"Woah! Did you see that?" shouted Kyoko, incredulous at what she just saw.

"He beat them down with just one hand!" replied Misaki to her friend, herself just as impressed at how easily Akira dealt with the four thugs.

"Serves them right. Now, if only i was that strong….." spoke Takae, wanting to be just as badass as Akira.

"Akira, you never cease to amaze me." Added Takeshi, his respect towards the half-devil growing even more.

Walking towards the leader, who now had a broken nose as a result of the punch, Akira taunted "Had enough yet? Or do i need to break some bones?" while pressing his foot on the leader's chest, threating to break some of his ribs.

"Cunt." spoke the leader, angered even more by Akira's taunts, before pulling a knife out of his pocket "I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!" he shouted, before slashing at Akira's leg with the knife. A shallow cut appeared on Akira's leg, due to the half-devil's reflexes, helping him to dodge the strike at the last second.

"How pathetic. That you would resort to a knife to finish a fist fight." spoke Akira, after putting some distance from the leader, who slowly got himself up, blood still coming out of his nose. But before he could charge Akira again, one of his friends came at his side, grabbed him by the shoulder and spoke "Boss, he's too strong. Even if we were 10 against him, we woudn't stand a chance." hoping to talk him out of the fight.

In response, the leader, punched his comrade in the face, causing him to fall on the ground, "Shut up! Real men don't run from a fight, no matter the o-" he began, insulting his friend for his perceived cowardice, before stopping immediately, mid-speech and dropping his knife.

At the same time, for unknown reasons, the CDJ short-circuited, causing the music to stop, startling the DJ.

"Hey why did the music stop?" spoke Takae, with a puzzled tone. She was interrupted by her boyfriend, who shouted "LOOK!" with a frightened tone, while pointing at Akira and the thugs.

"B-boss?!" began the leader's comrade with a nervous tone, as his boss's body suddenly started to shake uncontrollably, before he screamed in agony, clutching his head with his hands.

Akira and the thug could only watch in utter horror and disbelief as the leader's body enlarged and distorted itself, filling with powerful muscles, tearing all of his clothes, his head widening up, filling with sharp teeth, a third eye opening in between the other two, multiple horns sprouting on his head, his nose stubbing up and a short tail sprouting from the rear. With its transformation finished, the once human being, now a demon, standing 3 meters tall, let out an inhuman, beastly roar, terrifying every single person present in the club.

"No….. it can't be….. not again….." was all Akira could muster in utter shock, before realizing that he was going to experience that nightmarish night, the night he became Devilman all over again.

Not before long, dozens of people also started to turn into demons, some having their skin ripped apart, replaced by a new one, others having their bodies distort in unimaginable ways, assuming all kinds of monstrous, disgusting shapes, mouths filling with teeth sharp as knives, some even regaining their human heads, now perched upon a monstrous body. All the while screaming in pain, and panic, as their consciousness was erased by the demons that were taking over their bodies.

Soon enough, the rest of the crowd, even the Devil-Beasts started to run away in panic from the monsters that had appeared, looking for the exit of the club. Some escaped. Others weren't soo lucky, including the thug that tried to stop his boss from attacking Akira, who was torn in half by his former leader. Akira's friends however were still processing the reality of what was going on.

"W-w-what's happening?!" began Kyoko, not believing the horror that was unraveling before her eyes.

"W-Why are so many people becoming Beasts?!" added Misaki, just as petrified as her friend.

Meanwhile Takae and Takeshi, were so terrified by what was going on, that they coudn't even move. One demon was one thing. A couple dozen of them? For the first time in their lives they were truly afraid. Afraid that there was no way out of this.

Noticing his friends, Akira shouted "GUYS! RUN!" and ran after them, only to be stopped by a tiger-like demon, who put itself in between. Not before long Akira was surrounded by several demons.

"And where do you think you're going? Why have you not assumed your true form?" asked the tiger demon with a menacing tone, having recognized Akira as one of their own by his smell.

"Surely, you must feel the urge to feed too, don't you? Or are you truly here by chance, fellow demon?" added another demon that resembled a praying mantis.

Akira, realizing that there was no other way out, sighed and spoke "And here i thought i would never have to deal with you assholes again….." gaining a confused look by the demons that surrounded him. Then a wicked grin formed in his face and he continued "No matter, i'll just have to send all of your asses back to hell!"

"Why isn't he running away?!" spoke Misaki with a distressed tone, afraid that Akira was going to be torn apart. She was reassured by Takae, who answered with a confident tone "Don't worry, he's got this." earning a confused look from the antennaed girl. Misaki and Kyoko then watched in utter astonishment as Akira assumed his demon form, before spreading his arms and letting out a mighty roar.

The same coudn't be said for the demons that surrounded Akira, who were now trembling in fear, recognizing the demonic figure that now stood before them. "A-Amon?! Y-You are alive! But h-" began the tiger demon, but before he could finish and faster than all the other demons could see, Akira rammed his arm through the demon's abdomen before lifting it upwards, slicing the demon in half vertically from the waist up, causing liters of blood to spew from the torn body. This gathered the attention of every single demon present in the club.

Turning towards the other demons Akira spoke with ferocity and pride "Once again you're wrong!" while pointing at them with his arm covered in blood before declaring proudly "I am still the demon born to wipe all you bastards from the face of the Earth! I AM DEVILMAAAAANNNNN!"

"D… Devilman?" spoke Kyoko and Misaki at the same time, in utter disbelief and astonishment. Then Misaki added "He…. He looks just like her…."

"Yeah, right?" added Takae, snapping her two friends out of their trance. "Come on, you've seen enough. Let's get outta here." she continued, while motioning her friends to follow her, earning a nod from them

"Amon! He is still under that human's control?!" shouted a random demon. Then the bull demon that once was the thug boss charged at Akira, shouting "KILL HIM!" beckoning the other demons to follow him.

Noticing his friends escaping, Akira no longer held himself back. With another roar, he charged the demonic horde and began slaughtering demons left and right. Which included, punching through the mantis-like demon's skull, slicing the head of an horned beetle-like demon in half vertically with a karate chop, kicking off the head of a cat-like demon with a roundhouse kick, lifting up and tearing in half a centipede-like demon with his hands and so on. And yet the demons kept coming by the dozens.

This prompted Takeshi, after escorting the three girls to the exit of the club, to stay behind and give Akira a hand. Noticing her boyfriend stopping, Takae shouted "Tak! What are you doing?!" with a distressed tone. "There's too many of them! He'll never make it on his own!" shouted back Takeshi, after, removing his jacket.

"Don't be a fool! We both know how things went last time!" shouted again, Takae, her memories of what happened several weeks ago, still fresh in her mind. In response Takeshi, after assuming his true form, came towards Takae and captured her lips in a deep kiss. After closing her eyes and returning the kiss, the two stood there for a couple of seconds before Takeshi, parting away, spoke in a soft tone "Don't worry. Together we will make it through. And besides, i owe him one for saving my ass from that toad." while giving Takae a thumbs up. After receiving a smile from his girlfriend, Takeshi rushed towards the demons.

"Dammit! When will they stop coming?!" frowned Akira, after slashing open a demon's stomach with his claws. Even after butchering two dozen demons there were still at least four dozen demons coming at him. These lesser demons normally woudn't have posed too much trouble to Akira, at least by the time he fought, with Satan. Now that his powers had weakened, even these lesser demons, in such large numbers were threatening to overtake him. Sure enough, a beaver-like demon clamped its jaws on Akira's left thigh, immobilizing him and causing him to let out a slight grunt of pain. He was about to punch said demon in the face, when he noticed another demon who had two giant blades in the place of its arms, behind him, which had leaped in the air and was about to slash him in the back.

But before said demon could do that, it was struck by a blast of electricity in the back, that electrocuted the demon in midair, killing it.

"HEY! Leave some for me!" Came a distorted, demonic but familiar voice. Then Akira turned towards the owner of the voice and with wide eyes exclaimed "Takeshi?" upon seeing the Devil-Beast, now in its true form landing after kicking another demon in the face in midair, causing him to tumble on the floor, getting the attention of every remaining demon.

Seizing the opportunity, Akira punched the beaver-like demon in the face, urling it towards the CDJ. Then Akira and Takeshi found themselves back to back "I thought you needed some help." spoke Takeshi, while glancing at Akira on his back who replied "What about the girls?" with a worried tone.

"They are alright. I made sure they left the club." reassured Takeshi, while eyeing the demons that surrounded them.

"Good. Nobody will interrupt us now." replied Akira with a wide grin, while doing the same.

After a few seconds, the bull demon, emerged from the ranks and spoke "It would be wise to surrender Devilman! You have done well against so many of us, but we still outnumber you four to one! There is no escape for you this t-" but before he could finish, Takeshi, shot a burst of electricity which struck the demon's third eye, causing it to scream in pain, clutching it.

"YOU TALK TOO MUCH!" Shouted Takeshi, annoyed at the demon's boasting. Heck, even Takae in a bad mood wasn't this annoying, he thought.

"Mmmm…. One, two, three, four, five….." began Akira, counting the demons before him. Then he glanced over Takeshi in the back and asked "You thinking what i'm thinking?" with a smirk. Takeshi returned said smirk before roaring "LET'S TEACH THESE FUCK-FACES A LESSON!" Then he charged at the demons on his side, while Akira charged at the demons before him, while shouting back "THAT'S THE SPIRIT!"

(Outside the club)

The three girls after running for a while, hid themselves in an alley, after making sure they weren't followed.

Misaki was the first to speak, after regaining her breath "T-Takae….. why did he look almost like her?" still not believing what she saw. The horned girl replied "It's a long story. I'll tell you tomorrow. For now we have to hide until…."

She was interrupted by three young men who also came at the alley, apparently terrified. One of them asked, still panting heavily "D-did they…. Follow you?"

"No. We have lost them, for now." replied Takae.

Then the three young men, suddenly stopped panting and their expressions changed from panic to that of contentment. "Good." spoke one of them, oddly satisfied.

And in less than five seconds the three men turned into demons: one bat-like, another heavily built with two large eyes on its shoulders and the third being lizard-like. The three girls's faces went from being calm, to being contorted in utter terror and fear in even less time.

"Nobody will dissssturb usssss now. We're gonna have sssssome fun boyssssss." spoke the lizard demon, with a disturbingly gleeful tone.

Akira and Takeshi, kept slaughtering demons left and right with Akira being impressed at how well Takeshi was doing against creatures that tecnically weren't from his world. Even more impressive, considering how easily he had been beaten by Zuboo several weeks earlier.

What's more Takeshi seemed to enjoy doing it. After noticing it, Akira spoke "Didn't know you were into this." with a casual tone, while ripping off a demon's arm and beating said demon down with it.

"Well, it isn't nice to interrupt a good party, now is it?" replied Takeshi, while punching through a demon's chest, ripping out its heart, with a wide grin, surprisingly out of character for such a calm person.

Soon enough the two devilmen had slaughtered all the remaining demons and found themselves with only the bull demon, who up until then had stayed behind the sidelines, watching as his comrades tried, and failed to kill the two half-devils.

"What's wrong? Bit off more than you could chew?" taunted wickedly Takeshi upon noticing the demon's uneasiness and fright. Such a sorry sight it was, a big, bulky demon like that, cowering in fear after slaughtering who knows how many people. Quite frankly it was hard to believe that such powerful, monstrous and savage creatures could also be so cowardly. Even Beasts who had lost control of themselves, had more integrity that this pathetic excuse of a monster. Maybe they were not all that different from humans, concluded the blue devil-beast.

Then an idea formed up in Akira's mind. Coming alongside Takeshi, he put a hand on the blue devil-beast's shoulder and spoke "Let him go. He's not even worth killing." while eyeing Takeshi, earning a nod and a smirk from him.

"Right. Let's find the girls. I hope they are alright." replied Takeshi. Then they both turned their back at the bull demon and started to walk away.

Their plan worked perfectly. The demon's pride and anger got the better of his fear. Blinded by rage due to the two devilmen insulting him and disregarding him, he let out a roar and charged them, all the while yelling "BASTAAAAARRRRRRDDDDSSSSS!"

In response, the two devilmen, after letting out a sigh, turned back towards the demon, leaped in the air and with a roar they both punched through the bull demon's skull at the same time, killing the demon instantly and splattering his brains and skull bones on the floor.

After the demon's lifeless body collapsed on the floor, Takeshi took one last look at it. After spitting on the floor out of spite he spoke "Hmph. Should have crawled back whence he came when he had the chance."

"His pride got the better of him. Believe me, many demons i've fought are exactly like him." spoke Akira, pulling the blue devil-beast out of his thoughts. "But enough about that. Let's find the girls and get outta here." he continued, earning a nod from Takeshi.

But after they came out of the club, a loud, familiar scream could be heard several streets away. "T-TAKAE!" shouted Takeshi in panic, immediately recognizing his girlfriend's voice. "QUICK! LET'S FIND THEM BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! shouted Akira, just as distressed before both of them scrambled off, to find the girls.

To say that things weren't looking too bright for the three girls was an understatement.

Misaki and Kyoko tried to run away from the three demons only to be jumped on and pinned down by the bat demon and the shoulder-eyed demon. Watching her friends being immobilized, Takae ran towards them while shouting in distress "Misaki! Kyoko!" only for the lizard demon, to quickly scale the walls, walk on them on all fours, getting behind Takae and coiling its tail around her neck and grabbing her with one hand on her left shoulder and the other on her right arm.

"Uh-uh-uh….." said the demon, while shaking its head left and right. Takae tried her best to shake the demon off her, but it was too strong. "Sssssorry, but you're not going anywhere." he spoke in a reverberating and echoing, snake-like tone. Then it turned towards its comrades before speaking "Now then: how ssssssshall we do thisssssss?" while pondering on how to have his way with the horned girl.

A perverted idea popped in the bat demon's head, who was pinning Kyoko down on the floor, by her head. "How about this: you enjoy yourself with the horned girl, i take my time with this one" he spoke before pausing and taking a look at Kyoko. "And you defile the insect." he spoke again this time to the demon with the eyes on its shoulders, chilling the three girls's spines upon letting out the world defiled, making it clear of what was about to unfold.

"Mmmmm, works for me." replied the shoulder-eyed demon, with a satisfied tone. Then the lizard demon added "And make ssssssure they are watching the whole time. I want to sssssee the look of utter dessssspair and impotency on their facessssss, as they abandon all hope."

Focusing its attention back on Takae, the lizard demon quickly noted that she was baring her teeth at him with a look of defiance, anger and disdain in her eyes. Yet it only pleased the demon more "Mmmm, a feisssssty one, eh?" he spoke, before tightening his tail on her neck, causing her to choke "But it iss pointlesssssss to ressssssist." he continued, loosening up his tail a little while running one of his hands on her chest, before groping her left breast, causing Takae to let out a muffled whimper in response to her breast being touched. Then, after a few seconds, the demon let go of Takae's breast…..

….. only for its hand to grab Takae's croptop and bra and swiftly tear it off, causing Takae to let out a terrified yelp, at her breasts being exposed.

"Mmmm, you truly are a beautiful snack… " spoke the lizard demon, in the most depraved, unhinged tone one could think of, with drool coming out of its mouth. Takae began to tremble uncontrollably as the demon's forked tongue unfurled itself and licked Takae in the face before moving onto her breasts. As soon as the tongue landed on top of her nipples, followed by the demon's whole mouth engulfing and sucking one of her breasts, she coudn't take it anymore. She let out a scream full of terror, despair and grief. For the first time in her life, she truly felt hopeless. Her life truly was about to end this time. She started gasping, each gasp filled with fear, horror and sadness as all of her thoughts went to the child that she was carrying.

"N… no…. my ….. my child…" she let out weakly, in between gasps.

"NOOOOOOO! TAKAE!" Screamed both Misaki and Kyoko in anguish, tears flowing uncontrollably from their eyes, as they watched their friend's entire ordeal in utter hopelessness. Memories of their friend Chika's death flashed in their mind. Now they were watching it happen again. And there was nothing they could do.

The two demons that were pinning them down, on the other hand were cackling madly, delighted by how their lizard friend was "savoring" his meal, before eating it. Noticing the two girls under them crying, the bat demon spoke "It's useless. Once he's done, you're next." while tightening his grip on Kyoko's head.

In response Misaki spoke, outraged "How….. how could you do this?!", but the shoulder eyed demon pressed her head harder on the ground, earning a grunt of pain from the red-eyed girl.

"Simple. We are the predators and you are our prey. That's all there is to it. Doesn't mean we don't have to enjoy ourselves!" he replied sharply, while laughing even more. Misaki realized at that moment, that these monsters just coudn't be reasoned with. These actions were their own. They were doing it just for fun. They were no better than the humans who had mistreated them, locked them in concentration camps.

Misaki and Kyoko's attention came back on her friend and the lizard demon defiling her friend. After removing his head from Takae's breasts, after noticing her gasping and her body almost limp from the trauma that she was experiencing, the demon spoke "Tired already? Well, that's too bad. Causssssse i'm just getting s-"

However fate, at the last second intervened.

Out of nowhere a purple beam of lighting was fired from the darkness and it struck the lizard demon, mid-speech. The demon screamed in utter agony, as milions of volts of electricity, fried him alive, burning his skin off completely as well as his eyes, causing its now charred body to drop on the ground, releasing Takae. It was over in seconds. And the two remaining demons as well as the three girls could only watch in shock.

"Strelac!" shouted the other two demons, shocked, at the fact that their comrade was so easily dispatched. Then after releasing Misaki and Kyoko they turned towards the direction from which the beam was fired. "SHOW YOURSELF!" yelled the shoulder eyed demon, outraged at what had just happened. "DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH THAT!" yelled the bat demon just as outraged.

Misaki and Kyoko ran towards Takae, who was now covering her breasts with her arm, to check on her. "Takae, are you okay?" spoke Kyoko, earning a reassuring nod from the horned girl.

"Hard to believe how far we have fallen." came a calm, deep but spiteful voice from the darkness which froze the three girls as well as the two demons in place. The two demons's anger and outrage quickly turned into fear, bewilderment and dread as they recognized the voice, directed towards them.

"Wh-what?!" was all the bat demon could manage.

"T-that voice! I remember it! B-but h-" began the shoulder-eyed demon, still incredolous to what was happening.

"It wasn't enough for us to persecute the humans, now we're even torturing our own kind." then as soon as those words were uttered, the owner started to reveal itself. It was a massive demon at least 3 meters tall that stood on all fours and resembled a pachyderm. Its body was covered in armoured skin that resembled that of an indian rhino. It had a long prehensile almost whip-like tail, four rhino-like legs and toes and most notably, a pair of gigantic horns at least two and a half meters long which protruded from each of its shoulders. Finally it had a comparatively small and narrow head in proportion to the rest of its body, which was V shaped with a pair of small horns coming from the sides at the top of the head, a pair of yellow eyes with a black pupil and a wide mouth, filled not by sharp teeth, but by flat teeth not unlike those of an herbivorous mammal.

"Have you no integrity?" finished the demon, after having fully revealed himself in front of the two lesser demons and the three girls.

Misaki, Kyoko and Takae, could only stare in awe at how majestic this new demon looked. But the two demons were now trembling in fear as they now recognized the demon in front of them.

"K-KAIM?!" Shouted both demons in disbelief at the same time.

"H-how?! We were told you sacrificed yourself to defeat Devilman!" shouted the bat demon, not believing that one of the greatest warriors of their kind, the one that had given up its own body to defeat Devilman was now alive and well before them.

This piqued the three girls's interest. Apparently this massive demon had a history with Akira.

"Indeed i did. I have no idea of how i got there. One thing is sure though: this time you went too far." answered the massive demon, now known as Kaim, before charging towards the two demons without warning. The shoulder eyed demon managed to dodge at the last second; the bat-like demon wasn't so lucky. One of Kaim's massive horns impaled the demon through the chest, causing it to scream in pain, as tons of blood came out of the massive hole in its body. The demon struggled for a few seconds before drawing its last breath. Then Kaim tossed its now lifeless body towards the remaining demon who was still trying to process what was happening.

After the reality of the situation settled in, the shoulder-eyed demon spoke "W-what are you doing?! Have you lost your mind Kaim?! Why are you killing us, your own kind?!" in a panicked, disbelieved tone.

Kaim didn't respond, earning a deep scowl from the demon in front of him. Seeing no other way out, the demon charged towards Kaim, only to be stopped by the pachyderm demon's surprisingly strong tail which coiled around his arm. Kaim then proceeded to smash the demon into a wall several times, breaking several bones in its body, and shattering the wall with one final slam. Kaim then lifted the demon up and brought him towards him.

"W….why…." was all the bloodied lesser demon could let out, still not believing that Kaim, one of demonkind's most powerful warriors had just turned against his own kind.

"My eyes have been opened. What we did to the humans was wrong." he replied earning a confused look on the three girls.

"What we did… to the humans?" spoke Kyoko, oblivious of course, to what the demons had done back on Akira's world.

"You…. won't… get away….. with this….. Lord Zennon will…" spoke the shoulder-eyed demon before Kaim slowly pushed his left horn through its chest, finally ending its life. "If Lord Zennon wishes to punish me, he's free to do so at any moment. That is, if he's still alive." finished Kaim, having no regrets for what he had just done.

Then the pachyderm demon turned towards the three girls after pulling the demon off his horn, startling them. They now held each other together with their arms, afraid that Kaim was going to finish what those three lesser demons had started. Instead Kaim slowly walked towards them and spoke "Are you alright?" this time with a caring tone, completely taking the three girls by surprise.

Then after what seemed like a couple of minutes, after noticing that there was no murderous intent in Kaim's eyes, the girls relaxed, stopped holding each other and got up. "We're fine. Thanks for saving us." spoke Takae with a soft tone, after walking towards Kaim. With the exception of Takae's upper clothes gone, and Misaki and Kyoko having a few little scratches due to the two demons pinning them down, they were largely unscathed.

Relieved, Kaim replied "I only did what was right.". Then Misaki, after noticing his voice, also came towards Kaim and soon sensed that he felt familiar. Then her eyes widened. "You… you're the bouncer from earlier!" she spoke, completely bewildered, shocking the other two girls and even surprising Kaim a little.

"Indeed i am. My name is-" he began, but then….

"GIRLS!" came two familiar voices. Akira and Takeshi had finally found them. But as soon as Akira's eyes made contact with Kaim, his heart sank and he stopped in his tracks. "T-That shape…" was all he could manage as memories of his fight with the Demon Bird flashed in his mind.

Kaim was just as disheartened when he saw his friend's enemy standing before him. The one who had mortally wounded her was right in front of him. Because of this he had sacrificed his body, offering it to her in order to give her a chance to defeat Devilman, to feel the glory of victory. It was all for nothing. His sacrifice was in vain. She still died in the end.

Distraught, Kaim turned away and ran. On and on. But Takeshi, still not knowing exactly what happened was about to chase him down. "Don't think you can run away!" he shouted before being stopped by Takae's hand which grabbed his own.

"Tak, stop. He…... he saved us." she spoke in her usual soft voice, before pointing towards the three slain demons in front of her.

"What?" replied Takeshi, confused. Then as his gaze shifted towards the three lesser demons's corpses, the reality of what had happened sank in and he gasped in shock. He had abbandoned them. He remained with Akira to fight the demons simply to have fun killing them. His instincts had gotten the better of him. If it wasn't for that demon, by the time they would have found the girls, it would already have been too late.

Tears started to fall from Takeshi's eyes, as he looked at his hands, still covered in blood, before shifting his gaze on Takae. After noticing that her upper clothes were gone, and some shallow bite marks on her breasts, Takeshi coudn't take it anymore.

"T…. Takae…. F-forgive me." he spoke, his voice cracking before collapsing on his knees, his tears no longer kept back.

Takae, in respone came towards her boyfriend and hugged him tightly. "D…. don't cry Tak. It wasn't your fault…" she began with a sorrowful tone, tears also flowing freely from her eyes.

"I… i left you….. i let my instincts take the better of me… i….. i wasn't there to protect you…." continued Takeshi while burrowing his head on Takae's chest not wanting to look her in the eyes in shame. In response Takae, not bearing to see her boyfriend like this, pulled his face towards hers and kissed him deeply. They remained there for what seemed like an eternity.

Then, after partying away from their kiss, Takae spoke "And if it wasn't for you, Akira would't have come out of the club unscathed..." before looking at Akira and smiling softly at him.

Akira's heart was overcomed by happiness and joy at the sight and he smiled softly. Instead of scolding him, or even smacking him on the head for his mistakes (like how Miki usually did, much to Akira's dismay), Takae immediately forgave Takeshi on the spot and captured him in a kiss of pure, unsullied love. It only proved once again, that no matter what happens, nothing will get in the way of true love.

"Thank goodness nothing happened." thought Akira, relieved. At least these people had been spared by the tragedy that befell Akira.

"A….Akira?" came Kyoko's shy voice, pulling him out of his thoughts and causing him to notice Misaki and Kyoko towards him. The two girls could only stare in utter awe and disbelief at how Akira's true form looked.

He replied, with a reassuring smile "Girls. Are you alright?" before crouching down a little as he now towered above them. The two girls both nodded before Misaki began hesitantly "Akira…. Why do you….."

"Look like someone you know?" finished Akira, causing the two girls's eyebrows to rise up. "It's a long story. I think it's about time to tell you all of it. But not here." then after getting up he finished "Come on, let's go home." earning a nod from the two girls.

And so they left.
