Aftermath

It was late at night when Barry dropped Oliver off at the Farmhouse. He had just been about to leave when Oliver gestured to follow him inside. Taking the hint, he walked inside and asked, "Everything okay?"

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you."

"For what?" Barry asked.

"That your back hurts constantly and even more when it rains, due to the arrows I shot."

"It's okay. I've learned to deal with it."

"Like, you learned to deal with the pain from where Zoom broke your back?"

"I didn't want to complain. There are more important things. Besides, you've been through more than me. I'm fine," he said with a shrug.

Oliver shook his head, "Barry, due to us switching- I know what it's like now. Isn't there anything Caitlin could do?"

"My metabolism goes through it too fast, like with the alcohol, so even when it gets really bad - nothing can be done. I once had Savitar's claw removed from my shoulder with no painkillers and passed out."

Taking a breath, Oliver replied, "I think there's something I could try to do to help. Do you trust me?"

"Yes," he replied.

"Good. You're staying. Go upstairs to the master bedroom and take a hot shower. When you come out, I'll be waiting on you."

"But what about my job and our superhero duties?"

"That's already handled. We need time to sort out stuff between us with everything that happened."

Barry looked surprised, but gave a nod and did as Oliver asked. Once inside the bathroom, he found everything he needed including a pair of black sweatpants, boxers and a red shirt.

He quickly showered, changed and when he came out, Ollie was waiting on him. Oliver noticed him come out and gestured to the bed and said, "Lay down on your stomach."

"Why?"

"I'm going to give you a massage to try and ease the tension in your back."

He nodded his head and did as Oliver asked. Then, Barry felt Oliver get in beside him put his hands on his shoulders and slowly started working on the knots. When the knots released, he went on to Barry's lower back. Feeling him tense, Oliver stopped his movements and asked, "You, okay?"

He felt, rather than heard Barry breath, "I'm okay. That's just where Zoom broke my back."

Oliver placed his hand on his shoulder and, Barry, glanced back at him. When their eyes met, he replied, "He can't hurt you anymore. You're safe. I'm not going to let anything happen to you if I can prevent it."

A few minutes later, he had finished the massage and Barry sat up. He then made to leave, but was stopped, when Barry grabbed his arm. Oliver gave him a searching look and then, motioned for him to scoot over. Once they had settled in, Oliver pulled Barry into a hug and rubbed his back. A few minutes later, he felt a warm weight settle against him. Smiling, he settled in and went to sleep himself.
