Four Years Later

Now seventeen, Flora was standing by her locker. Wearing a pink pleated mini skirt with white blouse and knee length pink high heel boots.

Searching for her biology book, the brunette sighed finally finding it. Removing the book, she gently closed the locker and saw a female with long blue hair, light skin and blue eyes. She had on a red pleated skirt with a black blouse, red jacket and black flat shoes.

"Hey Musa." Flora called out, resting against the metal doors.

"Hey girl. You have a date for the prom as yet?" Musa asked, turning to the teen.

Flora sighed. "Not yet. Musa, You know no guy at school wants to even go out on a date with me."

"Don't say that Flo. There are plenty of guys here that would love to go out with you." Musa pointed out.

"Name one." Flora mumbled while holding up a finger. "I have been at this school for almost five years and have never been on a single date before. Face it Musa, on prom night I will be home eating pizza and burger."

Musa suggested. "Don't want you to be stuffing your face with veggie junk food. How about you come with Riven and I to the prom? The three of us can have fun together."

"Wouldn't I be a third wheel?" Flora asked.

Musa shook her head. "I am positive you won't be. Riven won't mind either."

Flora thought about it for a moment before saying. "Okay. I will go. When the slow dance comes on I will take my leave."

Musa noticed as Flora looked towards a male with long blue hair and eyes. He had on a blue and white shirt with black jeans and black sneakers. He was talking or flirting with a female from the cheerleading team.

"Flo, stop hurting yourself. I know Helia is your best friend and crush but he is also a big flirt." Musa pointed out. "He is considered to be a major player."

Flora held her head down, trying to fight back her tears. Musa was somewhat right, Helia isn't a major flirt or player because Flora knew the type of person Helia is. What Muda was right about, was hurting herself. She and Helia weren't in a committed relationship. Musa didn't know was that she was like Helia's favourite play thing. After their first intimate encounter, Helia wanted more of her. It began with them doing it once or twice a week till he greedily wanted more of her. She wanted more of him and they began doing it four to five times everyday. They ensured to make use of their free times together. Flora was madly in love with Helia and wanted so badly to be the only one for him. The only person that he would love and looked to, to satisfy his every wants and needs in the intimacy department. Sadly he only saw the brunette as someone to fulfill his sexual desire when the matter arises.

Flora put on a fake smile before saying. "You're right Musa. I must stop hurting myself. Let's go. I have to focus before the big game tonight."

"Oh yes!" Musa recalled. "Tonight is the final of basketball game. I will be in the stands cheering you on."

"I am happy to have a familiar face. Pretty sure the stands will be almost empty." Flora said. "Hopefully there will be scouts there. With senior year almost over I still haven't gotten a letter for any college as yet. My grades are average sure but I thought my skills on the court would have been enough for to at least have one school to consider me. Maybe my mother was right. I should have quit basketball and focus more on school work."

"I wouldn't call having B as average." Musa pointed out. "Come on, Flora. We have biology and Ms Griffin will be a witch to us if we are late."

Flora and Musa walked to class, not realizing that Helia was watching them.

Flora was standing at the centre of the court wearing a blue and white basketball uniform. A large one was imprinted on the back of her jersey.

She glance at the stand to see that it was almost empty. A few members of staff, little students and a few scouts could be seen.

Seeing Musa, Aisha and her father Rhodos in the stand made her happy. 'At least Musa, Aisha and Dad came. Mom isn't here as usual and I don't see Helia. Maybe he is too busy flirting with a girl to come. He has never missed any of my games before. Why would he have missed my final match.'

As if on que she heard someone calling her name. Looking up to the top of the stand she saw Helia gazing at her. He was without his usual fan girls surrounding him.

She smiled before focusing on back on the game.

Bouncing the ball the brunette shoot it into the net.

Several of the people in the stand cheered.

Receiving the ball from one of her teammates, Flora closed her eyes for a moment, hoping that one of the scouts would recruit her.

For now I am so sure about updating the story because it doesn't seem like people are interested in it. Everything is already typed and it could have been completed by now because it is a short story but if no one is interested, it doesn't make sense to keep posting chapters. Will decide in a few days whether to continue or just delete the story.
