Nebula was fixing Helia's black bow tie while talking to the male. "I am so happy for you, Helia. I have dreamt for years about you and Flora getting married. Your grandmother would be so happy for the both of you. She would also be happy that her engagement ring went to the right person."

"WHAT?!" Someone yelled. Turning around Helia and Nebula saw Avalon standing under the door frame of one of the living room entrances. He had on a full white suit with matching shoes and a black briefcase underneath his right arm.

"Is there a problem, Avalon or are you just here to make noise?" Nebula questioned, returning to fix Helia's tie.

"You gave my mother's engagement ring to that... that girl." The older male yelled. "I have been looking for that ring for years and now its on the finger of that girl. Son! You are going to take back that ring and get her a knock off one or else?"

"Or else, what Dad?" Helia asked. "You are going to beat me? Disown me? There is a reason why Grandma gave me that ring instead of you."

"If you dare try to take that ring from Flora's finger I will ensure that when I am divorcing you, I will add thief the list. You know it will be right below cheater and ensure that you get nothing from me." Nebula stated.

"You wouldn't dare!" Avalon grumbled.

Nebula stopped and turned around to look at her husband. "Remember I am the one with the money. You also signed a prenup."

"I also remember in that prenup I get some money if we were to ever get divorced." The elderly male mentioned.

"Not if I have proof of you cheating and stealing." Nebula added. "Dare take that ring and trust me you broke behind will be back where I found you. In a run down house and working at a fast food joint. Remember you work for the company that my father and I own and no matter how good of a worker you seem to be, you are also replaceable. You just got the job because you are my husband for now and met the basic qualifications. There were better and more experienced persons that you for that position, even now so best believe you better start keeping yourself quiet and keep your member to yourself for a while. One more slip up and you are done."

Instead of complaining, Avalon spun around and headed upstairs to the bedroom.

"I thought you had a business meeting, your highness!" Nebula yelled.

"It just got cancelled." Avalon yelled back.

Turning to her son, Nebula took a moment to look at his outfit. Apart from the black bowtie, the male had on a white shirt, a navy suit and black shoes. In his right hand was a bouquet of red and white roses.

Checking the time, Helia mentioned. "It's time to go. The dance has already started."

Nebula kissed her son's cheek before he left. Afterwards she went upstairs to speak to her husband.

Helia rushed over to Flora's house to see the brunette waiting outside for him. She had on a thin strap light pink dress that passed her knees, black flats and a silver necklace. She had a silver purse in one hand and her phone in another. Her hair was shorter than usual due to it being curled.

"Hey. How long have you been waiting outside?" Helia asked.

"About five minutes." Flora replied, checking her phone. "If I had stayed in the house any longer, Mom and Aisha would have continued to ploy more makeup onto me while Dad was in the corner crying over the fact that one you didn't ask him for my hand in marriage and two... this one is a maybe however, he feels like he has lost his little girl."

Helia felt guilty now. "I should have really asked him first. I know how much your father cares for you. Can you give me a moment?"

Flora nodded.

Walking up to the door, Helia knocked on it twice before Mr. Linephia opened it.

Helia did something like a half bow before the blond, light skin male. "Mr Linephia, please forgive me for not asking for your permission for Flora's hand in marriage. I am in love with your daughter and desire to spend the rest of my life with her as my wife."

Rhodos placed his hands on Helia's shoulder. The younger male stood up properly to see a smile on his soon to be father in law's face. "That's all I wanted from you. Well that and you continue to respect as well as take good care of my daughter."

Helia smiled. Returning to Flora, the two headed towards the last dance of their high school experience.

Returning from the dance, Helia escorted Flora to her bedroom window. It was almost midnight and they didn't want her parents to see Helia going into the house as well.

Entering the bedroom, Flora noticed two letters on her bed. Picking it up she saw that one was from Magix University, a co-ed school and the other was from Alfea, an all girl school.

"Wow, a letter from two schools. Helia, I am so nervous." Flora commented. "If I get through to Magix, you and I will be attending the same school while if I get through for Alfea, I would have to dorm and it would be in another town from where you are."

"What happens if you got through for both?" Helia asked.

"What do you mean?" Flora was wondering which one to open first.

"If you get through for both schools, which one will you choose?" Helia clarified.

Flora sat on her bed and whispered. "Well Alfea actually has a Vet Program and a good one at that from research and what I heard. Their basketball team isn't the worse in the league either. Magix on the other hand doesn't have what I want to study and I would have to go with my second choice which is Business and their basketball team is the best in the league."

"Flo..." Helia sat beside her. "Wouldn't business be a safer choice than being a Vet. I mean if you continue on the path that you are on and make it into the Women's League, you can earn enough money to buy a Vet Office and have people run it for you."

"Helia!" Flora sounded almost upset. "You have known for years that I wanted to be a Vet. Yes, I love basketball but I also love taking care of animals. It's the major reason I became a vegetarian. Animals deserve just as much love and care as humans and I want to be a part of that. It's one thing to run a business and another to be apart of it. Besides it's not like I won't be doing some form of business if I get through for Alfea. As unusual as it may seem I selected to minor in Business while there."

"Well I know which school you are eager to attend." Helia snarled.

"And I know which school you want me to attend." Flora replied. "Helia, as much as I love you I have to make a choice that's beneficial for us and Alfea could be that path. It's not like we couldn't meet up in the evenings or on weekends. The both of us have a car now and we could commute."

Helia sighed. "How about we open the letters first before discussing this topic any farther."

Flora agreed. She handed Helia the letter for Magix before opening the one for Alfea.

Flora gasped as she saw accepted on the letter. Hearing Helia groan, she looked over and saw regretted for Magix.

"It looks like the choice has already been made." Flora stated.

"So where does this leave us?" Helia asked.

"I believe still engaged." Flora answered. "We can still talk every day on those things called a phone, video chat and see each other face to face."

Helia was disappointed and upset. "Flower, maybe if you had tried better..."

Flora stopped him. "I gave each game my all Helia and that still wasn't enough to impress the scouts from Magix. I got through for the school I really wanted even though their basketball team isn't the best in the league. Us going to different schools doesn't mean the end of the line for us... at least not for me it doesn't."

"For me it sort of does." Helia sadly said. "I wanted to be with you every day. Us to have the choice and sneak out of our dorms to talk or cross paths on campus or spend our free times together."

"We can still find ways to see each other on daily and spend our free time together." Flora stated.

"Yes but it would be less than if we were going to the same school." Helia said.

"Well I can't do anything about it now Helia." Flora informed him. "It's not like I got through for both schools. On top of that I think you are being unfair. It's not like I am asking you to not go to Magix and instead attend Red Fountain which is literally five minutes from Alfea so we can be closer to each other. I want you to attend the school that is beneficial for you and for us to find a way to make our relationship work despite the distance."

"Red Fountain is a good school but not the place I want to be due their basketball program." Helia responded.

Flora asked, looking at the engagement ring. "What do you want to do Helia? I am willing to make it work even with the distance. However it takes two to make a relationship work."

Helia sighed getting up. "I need more time to process this."

"I know what that means." Flora didn't even bother to get up. "Good night Helia."

The male left the bedroom and headed to his room to sleep alone tonight and process the recent events.
