In the time since the harpy incident and the family reconnecting with Dickie, much has happened. Dickie has moved to an apartment in Duckburg as she said she would, and her and Ian have been meeting regularly, Christmas has passed, where it turns out Scrooge actually likes Christmas, he just hates Santa, and Lena has returned, brought back from the Shadow Realm by Webby and a new friend, Violet Sabrewing. This night, everyone is preparing for bed as a mysterious figure sneaks into the manor, unknown to everyone.

As Huey brushes his teeth, the figure barges in through a window. "Uh, Uncle Scrooge, someone is here to see you." He says nervously.

...

It would turn out the figure, Faris Djinn, was searching for the lamp of the first genie, which he family has sworn to protect. As such, he has resolved to find it on the eve of 'Efreet's Dawn', lest there be dire consequences.

However, it would turn out Louie had sold it during a yard sale, and thus, too nervous to tell Djinn, they lie and say it was stolen by a 'powerful figure'.

And so, the next day, they are preparing to head out to 'find' it, mainly to keep Djinn distracted while the others actually look for it.

"I'll go with Louie and them. Actually try to resolve his mistake." Rebecca says.

"Hey!" Louie protests, indignant.

Scrooge looks at Louie. "Find! That! Lamp!"

"And so the Duck four were left to their own devices on an impossible quest to right the careless wrong. Would it bring them closer, or tear them apart?" Dewey says as the others give him unimpressed looks. "What? I like Djinn's dramatic flair."

Huey looks at Louie. "So you sold off a priceless artifact."

As the Duck siblings try to find the lamp, and Scrooge and Webby distract Djinn, Ian is on another 'date' with Dickie, having lunch with her.

"Thanks for taking me out to lunch again Ian. I've been kinda short on cash and such, so this actually helps some." Dickie says as she enjoys her food.

"Think nothing of it, Dickie. Anything for a, uh, friend." Ian says, nervously.

Dickie smiles. "It's good to spend time with you. You're just so nice."

Ian blushes at that, and after a moment of thinking, speaks up. "Look, Dickie, I... I think I should tell you how I feel."

"Hmm? What do you mean?" She says as she takes a sip of her drink.

Ian sighs. "When I first saw you, I felt things that I had never felt before. Things that are, hard to explain."

"Like?"

"Well..." Ian groans. "Ah screw it I'll rip the bandaid off. When we first met it was love at first sight for me. You are the most beautiful person I've ever met, and since then I've been in love with you. The kids got me to help you so we could talk as I'd rather take things slow, and I helped you to try and spend time with you. Technically me inviting you out have been 'dates', so we could get to know each other better, but I am just way too awkward to express things any other way. "There, I said it."

Dickie blushes, looking at Ian. She then... smiles and giggles. "Aw, you're so sweet!"

"Huh?" Ian is caught off guard. "You're not, freaked out?"

"Of course not! You're just being honest with me and have been nothing but nice. And, I will admit, you are rather cute. It is all a surprise, but a nice one."

"Th-thank you." Ian blushes. "And, you feel the same way about me?"

"Kinda? I mean, you've been everything I've wanted a boyfriend to be." She shrugs. "So, I guess we can officially say we are dating now?"

"We can?! I-I mean, we can?"

"Yep! So... do we kiss now or-"

"Eh, best we wait. Kissing is a bit further down the line in my opinion. I'd rather us just spend time together first, as that is my ideal relationship."

"Okay, that works too." Dickie smiles as the two return to finishing their food.

Back with the Duck siblings, Louie is using the Ferryman's Flame to summon Duckworth, who was the one who sold the lamp after Louie got bored with his yard sale.

"This is a terrible idea." Rebecca comments as they go to the area under the stairs.

Louie rolls his eyes as he fiddles with the Flame. "So how does this work? Do I just call out to him, or, beh!" He opens the cover, causing the Flame to levitate up as the four watch.

Ethereal smoke creeps out as, from it, emerges... a giant crocodile monster.

"Ah!" The boys cry out in terror.

"Smooth." Rebecca comments coolly.

"Um, that's not Duckworth." Dewey says.

Then, Duckworth appears. "Francis, they're with me." He says, as 'Francis' disappears back to the land of the dead. Then, Duckworth transforms into his Demonworth form. "How dare you interrupt my long overdue vacation!"

"Sorry, sorry, sorry. It was Huey's idea." Louie says as he shoves Huey forward.

"What? We need to know who bought the lamp from the garage sale." Huey says.

Duckworth then shifts back. "I believe I sold to a rakish gentleman. Said the lamp would go perfectly with the Persian rug he'd recently acquired. Unfortunately, he had no money until an errant breeze blew a crisp twenty dollar bill directly into his open wallet. Quite a stroke of luck."

The four look at each other, knowing exactly who it is as they go to visit for their lucky uncle.

Meanwhile, at the park, Ian and Dickie are enjoying the scenery, sitting on a park bench.

"This is so nice." Dickie says.

"Yeah, calm. Something about nature that is just, right." Ian comments, feeling relax.

Then, four familiar figures wander up to them.

"Kids?"

"Huh? Mr. Boone! Dickie, What are you doing here?" Rebecca asks, smiling.

"Enjoying this lovely day with my, erm, girlfriend?" Ian says shyly.

"Wait what?!" The kids gasp.

"We're officially dating! He's just so nice that, when he confessed his feelings over lunch, how could I refuse?" Dickie says, nuzzling against Ian who blushes brighter.

"Oh that is wonderful! I'm sure you two will be so happy together." Rebecca cheers.

"Yeah yeah yeah, look, it's nice meeting you and all, but we are kind in a rush." Louie says.

"Rush?" Ian asks, eyebrow raised.

"We need to find our Uncle Gladstone to talk to him. Explanations can wait." Huey says.

"Gladstone?" Ian asks.

"Hey didn't we pass a blimp that said 'Glad Year' on it?" Dickie asks.

"Yeah, we did. Green lettering and such, four-leaf clover separating the words. Anchored to the clock tower next to Glom Towers." Ian points out the obvious object.

The kids look, and blink.

"Well that's convenient. Thank- hey!" Rebecca calls out as Louie drags her along. "Enjoy your date!"

"We will!" Ian says as he and Dickie return to enjoying each other's company.

...

At the blimp, the four walk up the Gladstone, who was lounging and eating sardines.

"Dewdrop, Greener Pastures, Red Hat, Della Two, can I offer you some refreshments? Some winning lotto tickets? How about a handful of diamonds I've found in a bag of ice?" Gladstone asks.

"There's no time for that." Louie says as he grabs a handful of diamonds, to which Rebecca rolls her eyes. "Where's the lamp?"

Gladstone looks at them confused. "Buh?"

"The ancient oil lamp you bought from our garage sale? We need it to save Uncle Scrooge." Huey explains.

Gladstone thinks. "Oh, that thing. No idea." He says.

"Ugh!" Louie groans as Gladstone explains how he traded it for the blimp with a rich kid from a giant treehouse.

"Rich kid?" Huey asks.

"Tree house?" Dewey adds.

"Sticky nickels?" Louie adds.

"Doofus Drake?!" The boys realize.

"Who?" Rebecca asks, out of the loop.

As the kids look at Doofus's treehouse, Louie is having second thoughts. However, when he tries to make a run for it, Huey and Dewey drag him to the tree.

"Scrooge and Webby are counting on us." Huey says.

"Scrooge and Webby can take care of themselves." Louie counters.

"Not to mention you are the one who knows the most about Doofus and this need to talk to him." Rebecca comments as she watches.

"Aren't you coming?!" Louie asks.

"The way you described him? Duck no! I'm waiting here." She comments, not fit to deal with a psycho like Doofus.

...

As Rebecca watches the Beagles collect the trash, the only job their ilk are good for, the boys rush past her to the garbage truck.

"The lamp!" Louie cries out.

"...Is somewhere on that truck?" Huey adds.

"Oh are you kidding me?" Rebecca groans.

"Cruel irony. One man's treasure is another man's trash, and-" Dewey starts as the three smack him upside the head, tired of his narrating. "Okay I'll stop."

As the group makes for the Beagle Boys junkyard to try and retrieve the lamp, Ian is dropping Dickie off at her apartment.

"Thank you for everything, Ian. Today was wonderful." Dickie smiles.

"Well, any amount of time spent with you is worth it, Dickie." Ian comments, blush having grown gradually throughout the day.

"And I can say the same with you."

"Well, best I get going. It is pretty late."

"Actually, before you go, I know you said no kissing, but..." She leans in and kisses him on the cheek, the otter's eyes going wide as he turns cherry red. "That should be small enough." She giggles.

"Uh- um- uh uh, o-okay..." Ian stumbles, brain fried.

"Good night."

"G-good n-n-night." Ian says as Dickie walks in and he turns to leave. "Yes yes yes! I won't die alone." He cheers to himself quietly as he wanders home, in love.

After retrieving the lamp, the family held a birthday for Djinn. After that, Scrooge decided to create a special wing of the Duckburg Museum, dedicated to his adventures and treasures, telling his stories for all, showing off the finished exhibit to the kids.

"This is amazing!" Rebecca says, in awe.

"Ae had the lad here help design it, layout and all." Scrooge says as Ian steps forward.

"Honestly? About time. Stuff like this belongs in a museum."

Rebecca smirks. "So do you!" She plays along, knowing what he is referencing as the two laugh.

"I don't get it." Dewey says, to which the two looks at him deadpan, somewhat shocked. "What?"

"Tonight we are watching a double feature Dewford, and you will be enlightened!" Rebecca asserts, somewhat scaring Dewey a bit.

"What's special about this?" Webby asks of a striped egg-shaped object.

"That's the famed candy-striped ruby. A gift from the king of Rippintaro Island. This was long ago. I was an ambitious young lad." Scrooge explains as everyone listens.
