.Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon
In an apartment somewhere in the city of Odaiba, Japan, where a boy named Davis Motomiya lived. He was 11 years old and had maroon spiky hair (think of Cloud From Final Fantasy 7). He was in a deep sleep, tossing and turning. Usually dreams of playing soccer, opening up his dream noodle restaurant, or, spending time with his new girlfriend and long-time friend, Kari Kamiya. However, it was a dream he had been having for the last month. Well, a dream wasn't the right word… It was more like a nightmare.
Davis opened his eyes, revealing they were crimson and found himself in a dark void. Like before, all he saw was darkness around him; nothing was in sight. The eerie feel of the void made Davis feel uneasy, he took a step forward, and the sound of his footsteps echoed through the darkness. he then took a few more steps, then suddenly, dark hands shot up from the ground, grabbed his arms and legs and wrapped around his stomach, and began to pull him down into the darkness. Davis struggled to no avail as he continued to sink into the darkness. He sank down to his chest, fearing that he would drown in darkness.
Suddenly three lights appeared in the sky, he looked and saw them, one was gold, the second was pink, and the third was dark purple. The three lights shot across the darkness, causing the dark hands to release him. The dark void had dissipated and was replaced with a beautiful flower field, dandelions were blowing in the breeze, and the field had a sparkling clear lake, with a far-off forest in the background.
Davis looked around in awe at the radical change to the scenery, and it was as if the dark void didn't exist in the first place. He looked out at the beauty of his surroundings, looking like something out of a fairy tale, a place where he would definitely bring Kari to his place. Suddenly he turned around to see the golden light hovering a few feet away from him. Behind it was a big blue knight with his back turned to the maroon hair boy, his cape flapping in the wind. He had never seen this being in his previous dreams.
"W-who are you?" Davis asked, confused.
The knight didn't say a word, and it didn't even move an inch. After a full minute, it spoke. "The time has come…" the blue knight spoke.
"Time has come?" Davis asked, eyebrows arched.
"Soon, all will be clear, Davis," The Blue Knight said.
"How do you k-?" Davis didn't get to finish as the sky turned dark and the ground began to shake hard, and he tried to keep his footing he then looked to see that the golden light and the blue knight were gone, just then a wave of darkness shot of the sky as Davis gasped as it was about to hit him.
He suddenly shot out of bed, his face covered in sweat, and he was breathing heavily. Davis looked around and saw he was in his room. He then sighed in relief. Now that dream was very vivid.
'Damn, that was a strange dream that I have.' Davis thought. He then looked at his alarm clock and saw it was about 7:20. "Crap. I'm almost late for school." he shouted as he quickly got out of bed and began to get dressed.
A few minutes later, Davis was now dressed in a black and blue long sleeve shirt under a sleeveless jacket with tan shirts and white sneakers, and he was currently running down the street. Hoping to meet up with his friends.
He turned a corner and was greeted by three individuals. The first was a boy his age with his arms crossed. He had spiky black hair and golden eyes, with his right eye having a distinguished scar down it. He wore a black trench coat over a white t-shirt, jeans, and black combat boots.
The second person was a young girl who looked like that boy. She had long black hair that went to her upper back. And like the other boy, she had golden eyes. She wore a black tank top with the symbols for yin and yang on the front, along with blue jeans and slippers.
And last but not least was a girl with chestnut hair that went to her shoulders and hazel eyes. She had on a pink long-sleeve jacket over a black tank top and was wearing a pink skirt that stopped right at her kneecaps and had white mid-calf boots.
"And where were you, Motomiya? I was beginning to think you weren't going to show," the boy mocked.
"Sorry about that, I was taking my time, so I wouldn't see you, Xeni," Davis mocked.
"It's Xeno, you dillrat!" Xeno growled, clenching his fist.
"Oh, no fighting this early, please," the first girl said.
"Xion's right. You both don't need to go at it this early." the second girl said.
"Whatever," Xeno huffed, turning his back.
Davis smirked as the second girl walked up to him and kissed him on the lips. "I never get tired of your morning kisses, Kari,"
"And you shouldn't, Davis," Kari smiled.
These three were his childhood friends, and the first was Xeno Jameser. A hotheaded boy who constantly gets into trouble however despite his appearance, he was very intelligent but is an underachiever, along with being his main rival in many things. The second was Xeno's younger twin sister, much calmer than her brother. Xion is a star on their school's gymnastics team and was a ballet student on the side. She usually tries to keep the peace when Xeno flies off the handle. And last but not least was his girlfriend Kari Kamiya, he had known her since the 3rd grade, and they had been best friends ever since, her brother Tai Kamiya was one of his closest friends and an older brother figure to him. Davis has had the biggest crush on Kari, but he was afraid to act on those feelings fearing it would ruin his friendship with her, until a few months back he had asked her, and she had answered yes, and they had been dating ever since of course Tai had warned Davis about hurting Kari with Davis could understand with being around him long enough knowing Tai was only looking out for her.
"Enough lovey-dovey stuff already. Let's get going," Xeno said, pointing his thumb behind him.
"Of course, you would ruin the moment," Kari said with a playful smirk.
"But he's not wrong. Let's go before we're late," Davis smirked as they made their way to the school.
(School)
As the students were heading into school, a new teacher was being shown the school.
He had shaggy grayish-white hair and red eyes. He wore a gray t-shirt with a silver jacket with black pads over it as well as black jeans and black shoes.
"I'm still wondering why someone like you who has multiple fields of study under him would work as a teacher." the Vice-Principal ask.
"Probably looking for some peace and quiet." the mystery person smiled.
"Peace and quiet? Yeah, right." a voice muttered.
"What was that?" the Vice Principal asked.
"It was nothing." the mystery person said. "So I'm supposed to be the homeroom teacher as well as teach a class later, is that correct?"
"Yes, here's your teaching schedule," The vice principal said, handing the person a piece of paper.
"Thanks." the mystery person smiled.
"I have to warn you, look out for Xeno; he's one of the worst delinquents we have," the vice-principle warned
I've dealt with worse." he smirked before walking to the homeroom
The four had arrived at the school, and they were greeted by a young girl with long lavender hair glaring at them, well, mostly Xeno.
"Well, well, if it isn't Yolei, and what brings the student council vice-president out here?" Xeno smirked.
"You know why Xeno, you still haven't turned in your homework from last month," Yolei frowned.
"Really? I didn't notice," Xeno mocked.
"Tch, nothing more than an annoying scared-eyed jerk, Xeni," Yolei said.
"Oh, you didn't call me that damn name, four-eyed woman," Xeno glared.
"Four Eyed?" Yolei shouted.
Suddenly both Xeno and Yolei engaged in a contest of arguing and insults, with Xion facepalming herself. While Davis and Kari just chuckled, knowing this would take a while, it was Xeno and Yolei's usual thing which meant they would get into yelling matches for hours on end.
"Should we?" Davis asked.
"No, this is how those two show they care about each other," Xion answered. "I'm heading inside. I'll see you two later," she said before she walked into the school.
"Hey Davis!" a boy called out, getting his attention. "You want to play a round of soccer before school starts?"
"Sure," Davis called out before he turned to Kari. "I'll see you later, Kari," Davis said before giving her a kiss on the cheek before he ran over to play with the others.
"You too," Kari smiled before she walked inside the school.
About a couple of minutes had passed, and Davis was still playing with the other kids. On and off, kids kicked the ball too high. It had landed at the feet of a blonde boy who was looking at Davis as if he saw a ghost.
"Hey, can you kick it back?" Davis asked.
"Oh, sure," the blonde boy replied and kicked the ball back. However, it went too high out of Davis' reach and went towards Xeno, who was still arguing with Yolei. The soccer ball hit Xeno in the head, making him yelp in pain.
Xeno turned and glared at the field. "Alright! Who's the one who hit me in the head?" ready, make that person pay.
All the players except Davis pointed at the blonde boy. Xeno cracked his knuckles before walking out onto the field.
"Xeno, you idiot, it was only an accident," Yolei yelled at him.
"Yeah, lighten up. I'm sure the new kid didn't mean it." Nobu said.
"You're not the ones who got hit with a ball in the back of the head." Xeno glared at Nobu. "Now move aside!"
"Make me." Nobu threatened
"I will!" Xeno shouted, clenching his fists.
Nobu just sighed before turning his back and walking to the school's entrance. "I don't want to have another migraine because of you, especially at the start of the year. So I'm going to class." Nobu said
"Hey! Don't turn your back on me!" Xeno growled.
"I'll deal with Nobu later," Xeno said before turning back to where the blonde kid was only to see that he was' there anymore. "Where the fuck did he go?" now even more pissed.
"He walked inside while Nobu had you talking," Yolei said in a mocking voice.
"Damn!" Xeno cursed, realizing Nobu was just distracting him. "Nobu, you bastard, I'll fucking get you one of these days," he yelled at the top of his lungs.
The blonde kid was walking with Nobu down the hall.
"Thanks for helping me back there." the blonde kid said.
"No problem, Xeni has a one-track mind, so it's quite easy to distract him. By now, he's probably only just realized what has happened." Nobu smirked, "Still it's best to stay clear of his way, and if you do get in his way call me, alright, I know how to deal with him."
"Alright, thanks. I hope it won't come to that, but I appreciate the offer." He said with a smile.
"You should get to your class. Schools starting in a few minutes." Nobu said before walking away.
The blonde boy sighed well, it was clear he was in for an interesting school year though it was not the first time he had dealt with someone who thinks they can do whatever they want without consequence.
At that time, Davis and Kari entered the class, and they saw Xeno had already arrived, still angry about what had happened outside.
"What's with Xeni?" Kari asked.
"Don't call me that!" Xeno shouted in anger.
"Some kid with blonde hair accidentally kick the ball at his face, and he's even more pissed off cause Nobu distracted him," Davis explained
"Blonde?" Kari muttered to herself. It couldn't be him, could it?
At that point, the teacher came in. "Alright, class, my name is Jaden Yuki, and I'll be your new homeroom teacher for the year," Jaden told the class.
"Good morning Mr, Yuki," everyone but Xeno greeted.
"Woah, the Vice Principal wasn't kidding about Mr. bad attitude." a voice muttered, referring to Xeno.
"Quiet, Dharak." Jaden whispered, "Alright, the class before we begin, we have a transfer student joining us today." Jaden announced. "Please welcome Takeru Takaishi!"
"It's that kid from before," Davis said to himself, and that kid got really bad luck ending up in the same class as Xeno after what happened earlier.
"TK…" Kari said so the boy that hit Xeno in the head was TK. She was surprised to see him back in Odaiba.
Xeno starts actually paying attention, realizing that his luck is actually turning around. The kid who bashed his skull with that soccer ball earlier is in his class 'you're not gonna get away so easily now.' Xeno thought as he started smirking.
"Alright, as today's the first day of school, you could do whatever until the next class rings, alright," Jaden said
"Alright," Davis pumped his fist, excited to spend the class time with Kari.
"Hey, kid!" Xeno shouted, pointing at TK. "I still owe you for putting me in the head outside!"
"Come on, Xeni, give the kid a break. It was an accident." Davis told him
"Don't call me that. It's Xeno! Get it X-E-N-O, XENO!" Xeno shouted at Davis.
"Yeah, whatever," Davis just huffed.
"Xeni, lay off him." Jaden called out
"What did you call me, old man?" Xeno growled, slamming his hands on the table.
Jaden just glared at Xeno. "I'll just say two things to a thick bull-headed person like you. One, it was an accident, get over it. He didn't mean it, and two, never slam your hands on my desk or call me old again." Jaden snarled
"I don't see your name on it," Xeno countered. "And with hair like that, anyone could easily figure you for a 70 year old," that got most of the class to laugh as he put his right hand right in the middle of his desk.
Jaden just groaned as he breathed in and out, knowing what was about to happen next was not his problem. Jaden quickly grabbed Xeno's wrist that was on his desk and twisted it, forcing him to kneel on the ground.
"Ahhah!" Xeno groaned in pain, his mouth agape.
"That's the problem with hoodlums like you. Think you're so tough and are so easily angered that you never think of the consequences." Jaden said as he let go.
Xeno twisted his wrist and gritted his teeth. "You have a good grip, snow white bastard, but I don't care what you say," he said, clenching his fist a few times.
Jaden just rolled his eyes at his bravado. He heard many enemies who also boasted in the past that it was starting to get annoying. "Whatever you say." Jaden said with no care in the world.
Xeno just crossed his arms and turned away from everyone. "Annoying bastard,'' he said under his breath.
"I heard that brat." Jaden yelled, "You got detention today, and if you cause any more trouble today, you will have detention for the week."
"Heh, like I haven't heard that before, is that best you got?" Xeno laughed. He was no stranger to detention.
"Xeno, shut up for the love of god," Davis whispered, not wanting him to drag the rest of them into trouble.
"Tch, whatever," Xeno said as he sat down and closed his eyes before he fell asleep.
"Oh brother," Kari just shook her head at Xeno's attitude problem.
Tk once more sighed. 'Great I angered a kid who clearly needs anger management.' thought well at least he is in the same class as Kari who knows Xeni so she will have his back maybe even get him to drop his issue with him even if that's hopeful thinking.
Meanwhile, in the Digital World, in a forest.
"Run for your lives. It's the Digimon Emperor!" a scared voice called out as they ran.
Several black ring-like objects were coming out of the forest chasing after the Digimon. It latched onto the Digimon. At that time, Patamon, Biyomon, and Tentomon were being chased by Snimon. "twin sickles!" He shouted before he sent two sickle beams at them. The beams nearly hit them, causing Biyomon and Tentomon to separate while Patamon hid away.
"Oh no, Biyomon, Tentomon." Patamon said, concerned for his friends.
Just then, a teenage boy with brunette hair wearing a green uniform arrived and kneeled next to an orange dinosaur. "Agumon, are you ok?"
"Tai, you're here," Agumon said, looking at his old friend.
"No time to catch up, time to Digivolve," Tai said, holding Digivice, but to his shock it wasn't working and simply beeped.
"That's the thing Tai, I can't digivolve," Agumon said.
"It's like riding a bike, remember? So start pedaling and Digivolve," Tai told him.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple Tai, it's not that I don't remember it's cause I literally can't digivolve." Agumon said, trying to help Tai to understand the problem.
At that moment somewhere in the digital world, in a room full of screens a boy watched Tai and Agumon. His hair was black with skin being on light side and he wore a blue suit with white on sides and on the chest, a black belt with a gold buckle on his wrists, ankles and around his neck look like cuffs, he had on a cape with interior being black while outer edges were gold, two large golden shoulder pads and on his face was golden glasses with lenses being pure black.
"Haha, it's no use, thanks to the power of my dark digivice there's no way for them to Digivolve," the Digimon Emperor laughed.
Tai gritted his teeth, trying to figure out why Agumon couldn't digivolve and if that was true that meant the others couldn't Digivolve either.
"How is that even possible!?" Tai asked but before Agumon could say anything else Snimon came flying over to them ready to sic his sickles into them.
Tai, and Agumon ran and had met up with Patamon, and Snimon was still chasing them. Suddenly they ran into Gatomon.
"Quick move your tail," She said, pointing at the cave
Once they were inside, the cave Tai took out his D-terminal. "We're going to need help, I'll contact the others," Tai said.
At that time, a red-headed girl wearing a female version of Tai's uniform, was currently putting away her tennis racket, this was Sora, Tai's girlfriend at the moment she was thinking of the movie Tai had planned for them to see later, until her D-Terminal began to to beep.
Sora looked at it and gasped, "Oh Tai, what have you gottening yourself into this time?" as she spirit to the computer lab
Meanwhile classes were finally over for the day, and TK and Kari were talking.
"It's nice to see you again, Kari," TK smiled. He was really surprised by how much Kari had changed. He hardly recognized her, but it made sense, three years can really change a person.
"It's good to see you too, so you just moved back here with your mom?" Kari asked.
"Yes, though she hasn't seen me yet since she's been on the computer the whole time." He said jokingly.
"Parents, what are you going to do?" Kari shugged.
"Hey, Kari." Davis said as he walked up to them. "So you know the new kid?" he asked, looking at TK.
"Yes, he's an old friend, I met him a couple Summer's back." Kari answered. "And don't get jealous, you're the boy for me ok." Kari said trying to prevent any issues between the two especially since her boyfriend tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves like her brother.
"Who's jealous? I'm not jealous," Davis said, shaking his head, before turning to TK. "Nice to meet you, I'm Daisuke Motomiya, but you can be Davis," he said, holding his hand out.
TK took Davis's hand and shook it. "Takaru Takashi, but you can call me TK,"
"I'm sorry, about Xeno he can be a bit of a handful," Davis apologized.
"He is not a bad person, he just has a tendency to let his anger get the better of him once he calms down and eventually lets what happened go. You find a pretty great guy who has your back when it matters most." Kari explained trying to highlight Xeno better qualities.
"I'll take your word for it," TK said, trusting Kari's word.
"His sister is easier to approach and… Xeno can be pretty protective of her if some guys look at her in a certain way so I would watch it when you are around Xion." Davis warned, after what happened to the last guy who wolf whistled at her it did not end well but to be fair that kid had it coming given some other stunts he pulled.
"Umm, you don't need to worry about that, I know how to keep myself in check," TK said with a nervous chuckle.
Meanwhile Jaden was alone at the computer lab, working on multiple assignments for the class as well as his multiple thesis that had to do with paleontology, cryptozoology and other physics.
Dharak than rolled near the computer screen and popped open. "Damn it, I hate this world."
"And why is that?" Jaden said , knowing the reason as he continued to work.
"You know the answer to that, I can't assume my true form." Dharak snarled.
"Well it's not like there are any other disasters coming." Jaden said as he finished up. "Alright Dharak, let's go."
"We're not done with this conversation." Dharak growled before Jaden picked him up and put him in his coat pocket
The two then left the computer lab, although Jaden forgot his Bakugan Trap who was sleeping as he walked out just as Sora entered from the other end of the hallway, seeing that the coast was clear she walked over the computer typed on it, and saw that the gate to the digital world was opened.
"Hang on, Tai, Biyomon I'm coming." She said before holding up her digivice and in a flash of light she was sucked into the computer.
The trap Bakugan opened up confused thinking it heard something. It looked around before folding back up thinking it was nothing and go back to sleep.
Yolei then goes into the lab having some work she needs to get done not noticing the sleep bakugan.
At that time Xeno was walking home still angry about today, first he got his head bashed in by a soccer ball, the kid who did it got off scot free and then he got humiliated by the new homeroom teacher.
'Damn! What fucking bad day could it get any worse?' Xeno thought angrily.
While he was lost in his thoughts suddenly he was surrounded by a group of older kids wearing blue blazers, Xeno glared at them not even intimidated.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? Xeni Jameser all alone without Davis to save him." a voice said in a mocking tone.
Xeno turned and glared at the leader of the group, Sai, Nobu's younger brother.
"You know not to call me that Sai," Xeno growled while cracking his knuckles. "And I don't need Motomiya to kick you and your pathetic gang's asses."
"Well Xeni I think it will be us who are going to kick your ass." Said Sai as he and his two goons got closer and who got ready to beat Xeno into the ground.
"Actually, I think the three of you are going to join Xeni in detention later." a voice said.
Everyone turned to see Nobu along with Xeno's homeroom teacher Jaden
"Damn, Nobu… and granny hair…." Xeno said not to be happy to see either of them.
"You know if it wasn't for school regulations preventing me from giving out a more severe punishment I would." Jaden smiled as he cracked his knuckles
"You aren't that scary to me, and I see you have a new boyfriend Nobu," Sai said.
"For once I agree," Xeno stated.
Jaden turned his head to Nobu. "Can I twist their arms?" he asked
"They aren't even worth breaking but beating is fine," Nobu said. "Since it's the only way these two boneheads would understand."
Jaden then gave a scary grin. "Don't worry." he said as he crack his knuckles. "They'll be fine."
"Bring it on!" Xeno said, taking his trench coat off and tossing to the side.
"this shouldn't take long," Sai said.
5 minutes later, Jaden was walking away with a smile. "Well that was amusing."
Both Xeno and Sai were beaten to the brink of unconsciousness and it looks like both the floor and walls were broken to the point that even Nobu was shocked by the brutality a bit.
"Ok, that is the most brutal beating I have seen and I've seen some pretty savage fights." Nobu commented "Are they even alive?" he asked.
"Eh, they'll be fine. A quick trip to the infirmary and they'll be back as good as new." Jaden smiled as he walked away.
"Fuckin, teacher," Xeno cursed before he lost consciousness.
"Heh, these guys are going to need a year of treatment to get the stupid out of them. " Nobu said as he carried his brother back to the infirmary.
"Hey you two." Nobu called to his brother two goons. "Grab Xeno help bring him to infirmary unless you want a lesson from the new teacher as well?" Using Jaden as a minor threat.
"You're joking right he already left." One of them is clearly shaken up but thinks he is bluffing only for them to see Jaden spiriting full speed towards them.
"Alright we will help, just don't hurt us." The two said as they grabbed Xeno not noticing him running right past them heading back to school.
'Well that was convenient.' Nobu thought as he smiled, not sure why he was going back to school but it worked out in his favor at least.
At that time Davis, Kari and TK were about to make for the exit, that's when Yolei walked up to them with printed paper.
"Hey Kari, do you have a brother named Tai Kamiya?" Yolei asked.
That got the two (Kari and TK) attention while Davis just listened.
"Yes, but why do you ask?" Kari asked, arching eyebrows at the question.
"Well, I got a weird message from him involving some game," Yolei said as she hand them the paper
"Game?" TK asked.
Not long after the group had made their way to the computer lab, there they were met with a redheaded boy who wore the same uniform as Tai, and he was holding a strange object in his hand.
"Izzy, it's great to see you," TK said, happy to see his old friend.
"Did you guys get his message as well?" Izzy asked.
"Yes, but what is going on?" Kari asked, trying to figure out what was going on in the Digital World.
"I'm sorry, could someone please explain what is going on?" Davis asked, wondering what his girlfriend is talking about a Digital World.
"I don't know, I got a message from Sora as well saying she has gone ahead to find out," Izzy said while observing the weird object.
"Go ahead to where?" Yolei asked, confused. "What is this Digital World?"
"Yeah, you three are kinda leaving me in the dark," Davis said, trying to understand what they are talking about.
"Well…" Izzy uttered; he wasn't sure he should even tell Davis or Yolei about the Digital World.
"Look, we will explain everything later. Just know lives are in danger." Kari said, wanting to focus on saving her brother and the Digimon.
Davis nodded, seeing the determination in his girlfriend's eyes.
"Izzy, what's that thing you have? Is it a toy?" TK asked, noticing the thing in his hand.
"I have no idea what it is; I just found it on the desk next to the computers when I came in, probably just some toy a kid left behind after computer class," Izzy surmised.
Davis then snatched it out of Izzy's hand and looked at it. "I don't recognize this from any game store I've been to?"
"You know it's rude to search things out of someone's hands," Izzy said, remembering the times Tai had snatched things out of his hands.
"Davis! Ask before you grab something!" Kari scolded him.
"Ugh, sorry hehe," Davis apologized, laughing nervously.
Meanwhile, back in the Digital World, Sora made her way through the forest following Tai's digivice signal, she had also been avoiding a lot of the Digimon who tried to attack her.
"Out of all things, why does it seem like every time we are in the digital world, we have to run for our lives!" She yelled, she then hid in a bush as a Snimon passed by, she looked out and saw it was gone she sighed before she felt something grab her shoulder.
"Ah!" Sora shouted before turning around and seeing her Digimon partner Biyomon. "Biyomon? Geez, don't scare me like that…" she said, feeling like she was about to have a heart attack.
"I'm sorry, Sora," Biyomon apologized before she drew her into a hug which Sora gladly returned. "I missed you so much."
"Me too," Sora smiled; as she pulled away Sora couldn't help but ask. "What's going on? Why are all the Digimon acting like this?"
"It's all because of the Digimon emperor and his dark rings." Biyomon said.
"Digimon Emperor?" Sora questioned, but she saw a few Digimon passing by. She knew they couldn't stay in one place; they had to move. "Tell more along the way; Tai isn't too far from us let go."
Biyomon nodded, and they began to move along the forest to Tai's current location while Biyomon began to tell Sora about the Digimon Emperor.
At that time, Tai, Agumon, Gatomon, and Patamon were in the back of the cave, and they appeared to have found an egg. But I was orange and red like a flame. It also had a spike protruding from it.
"Isn't that a Digiegg?" Tai asked; he had never seen a Digiegg like this one before. "It even has the crest of courage on it."
"Yeah, but I've never seen a digiegg with a spike on it," Agumon said, crossing his arms.
"I hate to have been the chicken that had to lay that thing," Gatomon remarked.
Tai then reached out and tried to pull it out of the ground, but it wouldn't budge; however, it began to glow, making Tai back off as 5 lights appeared out of the egg.
"They look like fireflies," Tai said as he saw them fly out of the top of the cave at a fast speed. "And really fast ones,"
Meanwhile, outside, Sora and Biyomon had made it to the cave just in time to see the lights fly out and disappear from sight as they continued on to their destination.
"What were those?" Biyomon asked, confused.
Sora shook her head. "I don't know; maybe Tai can tell us. His signal is coming from the cave," she said, pointing at the entrance.
Biyomon nodded as they made their way inside the cave; Sora and Biyomon looked around and saw a light at the end of the tunnel; there was Agumon, Gatomon, Patamon, and Tai!
"Tai!" Sora yelled, running over to him.
"Sora!" Tai exclaimed and ran towards her; when they reached each other he grabbed her by the hips, lifting her into the air and spinning them before he put her down. "I'm glad you got my message,"
"Of course, someone needs to make sure you don't do anything stupid," Sora said in a cheeky tone.
Tai rolled his eyes and smiled. "Haha, very funny," knowing Sora was only joking.
"I'm glad to see you are alright, Agumon," Biyomon said, landing next to him. She was worried about him ever since the Digimon Emperor had shown up.
"You too, Biyomon, glad you got to safety," Agumon said, happy Biyomon was safe as well.
"Tai, Biyomon said that there's a human going around enslaving the Digimon, but that's impossible since we are the only ones who can access the Digital World," Sora said. She and Tai knew that the only ones who could access the Digital World were Digidestined and it made her worried.
"That's what I thought too, but Gatomon told me about a Dark Digivice, which means a Digidestined that we didn't know about is the cause of this," Tai said, clenching his fist it was still hard for him to believe that any Digidestined would even try to enslave the Digimon.
"What were those lights that shot out of the cave?" Biyomon asked out of curiosity.
"They came from that weird digiegg over there when Tai tried to move it." Agumon told her.
Both looked at the Digiegg in question and saw it was strange looking like Tai and the others. They had never seen a Digiegg like that before; Sora walked over and tried to move it but like Tai, she couldn't.
"Damn, it feels like it's welded to the ground," Sora said, pulling with all her might before she fell backward on her behind. Sora breathed deeply for a few seconds before getting back to her feet.
"That's not budging anytime soon," Tai said, crossing his arms.
At that time, back in the human world, Izzy was preparing the gate to the Digital World.
"Is the Digital World the name of an amusement park? I bet they have fun rides." Yolei asked, thinking the Digital World sounds fun and wanted to go.
"Now that I think about it didn't Tai mention something about that?" Davis said, swearing he heard Tai mention something about that.
'Of course, Tai would bring that up without really thinking of the context.' Kari thought part of the reason she didn't tell Davis about it isn't that she doesn't trust him. In fact, if she got stuck back in the digital world with someone who hasn't been there before, he would be on a list of three people she would trust to have her back there.
No reason was that she was scared that it could damage their relationship, thinking she was crazy and there was no way she was taking him there cause she wouldn't intentionally put his life in danger like that even if she could take him there.
"Hey, Yolei, you promised to help me fix my computer," a young kid said, walking in the computer room.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot." Yolei apologized to Cody.
She and Cody left the room while Izzy finished setting up the computer. "We're all set to go,"
"I'm going with you," Davis said.
"Not everyone can go. You need a digivice to do that." TK told Davis.
"Look, TK, if Tai and Sora are in trouble, I'm going too. Besides, if you think I'm just going to sit and watch Kari go into danger, then you clearly don't get the kind of guy I am." Davis told TK in a firm voice.
Suddenly a flash of light appeared from the computer, and the 5 lights from earlier shot up. One landed in Davis's hand, the other 4 shot out of the room, and 2 landed in Yolei and Cody's hands; the third one shot down the hall and into the infirmary where Xeno, who was still unconscious, and landed his hand before he lazily opened his right eye. And the last one shot right out of school.
"Woah! What is this?" Davis exclaimed, showing them the new device in his hand.
"Is that a digivice?" TK asked in shock.
"It's a different model than the ones we have." Kari said, looking at her digivice.
At that moment, Nobu showed up. "What the hell was that light show that I and Mr. Yuki just saw?" Nobu asked.
"Um, nothing," Izzy said, hoping he could keep others from noticing.
"Really, then how do you explain the digivice in Xeno's hand?" Nobu asked
"Xeno?" both Davis and Kari asked, surprised. Both turned to see Xeno walking towards them, still looking worse for wear.
"Looks like you got hit by a truck." Davis said surprised him, so messed up.
"Damn, I'm surprised that you're still able to move after that beating." Nobu said.
"What beating?" Kari asked.
"My younger brother and his goons, as well as Xeno, were basically asking for it and pissed off the new teacher and gave them such a savage beating that I'm pretty sure that the floor was cracked," Nobu said
Xeno spat out blood. "My mom hits harder than him any day of the week."
"Now you're just lying to yourself." Nobu interrupted, knowing that wasn't true at all.
"Then fight my mom and find out," Xeno said, turning back to everyone. "What on earth is this device?"
"Didn't you hear me when I said that? Or did you just walk in?" Nobu questioned. "I said it was called a digivice."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I just ignored you," Xeno mocked. "But I'm not interested in this thing," he said before tossing it at Nobu, who caught it.
"Whatever, I could always call your mother and tell her that you're being a problem at school." Nobu smirked.
"Tch, I want nothing to do with whatever you and Motomiya are involved with," Xeno told him.
"Your mother is getting worried, and at this rate, you're only proving the police's point. Your mother won't be able to bail you out every time, and I won't be able to help you anymore, but that's your problem." Nobu said
"Look, Izzy, you can explain it to them. My brother needs me now." Kari said, getting frustrated from the distractions as she pointed her digivice at the computer and she vanished.
"Kari! Damn it." Davis said. "I'm following her!" He points the digivice at the computer vanishing as Kari did.
"Did they just teleport into cyberspace?" Xeno asked in shock. "That kind of technology shouldn't be possible at this point," before he turned away. "But I don't care."
"You sounded like you were interested in a second." Nobu said.
"Tch, then you are going depth." Xeno countered.
"I'm going in now," TK said as he pointed at the computer, and he was sucked into the computer.
"You know it feels like this day will get any worse for me." Xeno said, "you got anything else you want to hit me with!?" Xeno challenged
"How? How can it get any worse for you?" Nobu asked
"I can think of 86 different ways, but I'm heading home," Xeno said before he began to walk away.
"Hey!" Nobu called out, making Xeno turn around as he tossed the Digivice at Xeno, who caught it in one hand. "Say what you like, but it's yours now."
"The Digital World chose you for a reason. Like it or not, you are a part of something bigger than yourself," Izzy told Xeno in a serious tone.
Xeno glared at them but then turned away. "Whatever," he said before walking away.
Kari, Davis, and TK traveled through the data until they finally finished transferring.
They landed in the Digital World. Kari and TK looked around and saw they were in a forest, Davis looked around in awe, but then he noticed his clothes were different. He was wearing a dark blue bomber jacket with a red and yellow flame pattern at the bottom and over a light green shirt. He was also wearing dark olive green shorts, dark blue socks, and orange and white boots.
"Woah, this place gave me a new wardrobe," Davis said, looking over his new outfit.
"I think it looks good on you, Davis," Kari said.
"Thanks," Davis smiled, rubbing the back of his head. "Come on, let's go find Tai and Sora,"
"Right," TK and Kari nodded in agreement.
And with that, the three made their way through the forest, unaware of their hitchhiker in Davis's pocket.
"So, Kari, you know about this place?" Davis asked.
Kari lowered her head slightly. "Y-yeah, I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I thought you would think I was crazy."
Davis shook his head. "I could never think you're crazy, and I kinda had my encounter with those Digimon things three years ago." he remembered it well, those ghost things that kidnapped him and his family.
"Again, I'm sorry it's kinda secret among us," Kari said.
"Kari, it's your secret. I have no right to judge," Davis replied.
Suddenly they heard a large thumping coming from the east of them.
"What is that?" Davis asked nervously.
The trees we then knocked down, as the creature came by, it highly resemble a Gastornis, a species of extinct carnivorous flightless bird only with metallic feathers on it.
"Run!" TK shouted.
And the three ran away as fast as their legs could take them, with the Gastornis-like monster chasing after them. "So that's a Digimon, huh?" Davis asked in fear.
"Yeah, now keep running." TK said
"Guys, hard left, we'll lose him in the trees," Kari called out.
Following Kari's lead, all three made their way into the trees Digimon stopped as it tried to move through the trees but was unable to get through. It roared in rage as it lost the three. Seeing that they had lost the Digimon, the three stopped to rest for a minute.
"Ha… hah… I have to say I wasn't expecting that," Davis said, trying to catch his breath. He hadn't run that much, not even in soccer practice.
"There's plenty more where he came from," TK said, catching his breath. The memories of being constantly chased by Digimon were flooding back to him.
"Not all Digimon are like that one Davis. Some are much cuter than that." Kari said.
"And some that are even scarier too," TK added.
"Thanks for telling me." Davis said. "Let's get back to looking for Tai and Sora."
"We should stick to the trees to avoid any more contact." Kari suggested.
TK and Davis nodded in agreement before they moved along tree lines as they continued their way to Tai and Sora.
At that same time, Tai and Sora, along with the Digimon, were making their way toward the signals that appeared a few minutes ago. Both older Digidesiend were reminded of when they first arrived in the Digital World, running unable to defend themselves, and with their Digimon unable to digivolve made it even worse.
"This is really annoying, like total Deja vu," Sora said as she followed close to Tai.
"Yeah, I forgot how much I hated this part being in the Digital World," Tai stated, as he followed the directions on his digivice. "So how long had the Digimon Emperor been enslaving the Digimon."
"He showed up about a few months ago; we have never seen him; we tried to fight back, but his dark rings were too much, and most of our friends got captured, out of us and the other DigiDestined Digimon," Gatomon explained.
"The others, Fridgeymon, Ogermon, Monzaemon?" Sora asked in worry.
"Yeah, with the way things are going, all Digimon will be mindless slaves," Biyomon said.
"We won't let that happen, and we'll find a way to beat this Digimon Emperor I know will," Tai said, before his Digivice began to beep. "They're just up ahead," Tai said before Patamon flew ahead of them.
"TK." He shouted as flew into TK's arms.
"Patamon, it's to see you." TK smiled, happy to see Patamon was alright.
"Kari!" Gatomon called out as she leaped into Kari's arms.
"Gatomon," Kari smiled before she noticed Gatomon's tail ring was gone. "Your tail ring, what happened?"
"Kari, TK… man, you've gotten big," Tai said, happy to see Kari but surprised to see TK here.
"Tai, Sora, I'm glad you are ok," Davis said.
Both Tai and Sora were surprised to see Davis was in the Digital World; however, before they could ask, they heard loud thuds in the background.
"We can't stay here. Let's head back to the cave." Tai said before they all head back to the cave
Back at the school, Jaden was in his office talking to someone on his cell phone. (Yeah, the job is great, the kids are alright)
(I'm still wondering why you took a job in junior high school. Wouldn't a college be more of your speed, or are you hoping Alice doesn't find you chasing after College girls) Fabia asked
(Well, I was hoping to find a job at a high school or a college near our place but couldn't) Jaden replied
(you can teleport and fly, so Distance isn't really the reason, right?) Fabia said.
(Alright, you got me, it's mostly because Alice has me on a short leash after the whole affair that I had with both you and Maria) Jaden answered
(Should have known, it's still amazing that she's with you, right?) Fabia said in a joking tone, she knew Alice loved Jaden, but at times, many wondered how she even put up with his foolishness heck, even she wondered.
(yeah, laugh it up,) Jaden frowned.
(we need to find our way home, with us one who knows what's happening there.) Fabia said.
(Yeah, well, they could handle it) Jaden assured. (Probably)
(you just don't want to face Kikyo after you bleached her hair gray before getting sent here,) Fabia said. (but whatever, I'll see you when you get back) she said before hanging up.
Jaden snarled and almost crushed his cell phone.
Meanwhile, back in the Digital World, the gang had arrived at the cave. Tai, Sora, along with Digimon began to explain the situation, which shocked the new arrivals.
"Digimon Emperor? And he's enslaving all the Digimon?" TK asked, still shocked to hear that a Digidestined was responsible for all of this.
"Yes, and he has this strange Dark Digivice that prevents us from Digivolving," Gatomon said, lowering her head.
"Show her your's Davis," Kari said.
Davis nodded and showed his digivice. "Like this one,"
"That's it you work for the Digimon Emperor." Gatomon said.
"Hey, I work for nobody besides mine it is not dark. I got it when it flew out of the computer," Davis said.
"Xeno's too," Kari said.
"So those balls of fire were new digivices," Tai said as he turned to the Digiegg that bore the Crest of Courage.
"The Dark Digivice is draining our powers and is making us weak newborn kittens," Gatomon said, clenching her paws.
"That's why you couldn't digivolve," Sora said to Biyomon.
"If I could digivolve I show him a thing or two," Biyomon said.
Unknown to them a Dark Ring was hovering over them relaying their location and their conversation back to the Digimon Emperor.
"The Digimon Emperor uses the Dark Rings to control the Digimon," Gatomon said.
"Yeah, and once it's attached to you, you're a slave for life," Patamon said.
"Digimon Emperor, I'll slap a dark ring on him!" Kari said angered by the emperor's actions wanting him to know what it feels like to be enslaved.
"I like to see you try," The Digimon Emperor mocked as he looked at the computer screen. "Now let's see, inni, minni, mini, mon." said before pressing a button on his keyboard. "Attack Monochromon!"
In a mountain full of Digimon in cages, one of the cages began to rise up as a hatch opened on top the cage reached the top revealing a Digimon that resembled a Monoclonius Crassus. the upper face is covered by black armor that extends into bony frills with red stripes. Its greyish build is armored on the back reaching all the way to the tail with white bone armor on its stomach. Its nose has a single large horn and green eyes.
On Monochromon was a Dark Ring around its body "Raaah!" Monochromon roared.
"And to join him." the Digimon Emperor smirked as he pressed another key on his keyboard.
Soon another cage reached the top before revealing another Diatrymon, only this one had a Dark Ring around its neck. Diatrymon screeched.
Meanwhile back at the cave, the gang was looking at the strange Digiegg.
"It's strange to see an egg with a spike in it," TK said.
"Yeah, and it's even heavier than it looks." Tai stated
"We couldn't budge it an inch," Sora told them.
"Let me try." TK said. He grabbed the Digiegg, and try as he might, he was unable to pull it out.
"Move this is a woman's job." Kari said as she tried to pull it out, but like the others, she wasn't able to pull it out.
"If only there was a woman here to help," TK commented only for Sora to thump him in the back of the head, making his yelp. "Ow, I was just joking, Sora."
Sora just huffed, not at all happy about his joke. While Kari just frowned. "You did have that coming TK," Kari said, also not liking that joke.
"Looks like you're the last one Davis." Tai said, turning to Davis.
"Alright," Davis nodded as he walked over and he got ready to pull as hard as he could only for it to easily come loose as he pulled it out, falling on his butt. "Well, that wasn't so hard."
Suddenly a pillar of orange light appeared where the digiegg was, out of the pillar was a small blue dragon with a yellow V on its forehead and a horn on the end of its nose. The dragon opened its eyes, and it jumped out and began to dance around Davis.
"Free at last! Free at last! You moved the Digiegg!" the small Digimon happily exclaimed. He stopped jumping around Davis and held his hand out to him. "My name is Veemon, it's nice to meet you,"
"Uh, I'm Davis. Nice to meet you too," Davis said, still surprised by Veemon's appearance.
"I heard of Veemon. He's an adventure-seeking Digimon that brings you good luck," Agumon explained.
"But they were supposed to be extinct. The last Veemons were two members of the royal knights," Gatomon stated. She knew of the royal knights while she worked for Myotismon, not her fondest memory she had studied about the royal knights, and there were only two members that were Veemon at one point, and with their disappearance, it was thought the species were extinct.
"Because we were able to move the digiegg of courage that makes us partners," Veemon smirked.
"I think you got the wrong guy," Davis said, but before he could say anything else, the cave began to shake. "Is that an earthquake?!"
"No, look up there!" TK shouted, pointing at the ceiling.
Suddenly Monochromon smashed through the ceiling, attempting to get into the cave roaring at them.
"" What's that?!" Davis shouted in shock.
"Monochromon…" TK answered.
"Boom, Bubble!" Patamon fired off a blast of compressed air.
"Spiral Twister!" Biyomon flapped her wings, creating a spiral of green flames.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon fires a fireball.
The three attacks hit Monochromon but don't even leave a scratch on him or even affect him at all he just responds with his own attack
"Volcanic Strike!" Monochromon starts charging his attack.
"Everyone, get out of the cave now!" TK said knowing they can't get hit by that attack.
Everyone starts running for the exit with them, barely avoiding the attack with Davis and Veemon taking the rear of the group.
Suddenly Diatrymon surprised the group at the entrance to the cave.
"It's the Digimon from earlier," Kari said in fear.
"Destruction Roar!" Diatrymon screeched as he unleashed a powerful destructive roar that threatened to collapse the cave.
"Davis, quickly, you got to open the digiegg using your courage." Veemon said to Davis.
"But how?" Davis asked.
But before Veemon could explain, they see Monochromon charging at them, getting closer and closer as Davis and Veemon run as fast as they can to keep out of the biting reach of Monochromon and make it out of the cave and to a nearby cliff edge.
"That was a close one," Davis said, trying to catch his breath.
"Davis, get down here." Tai called to him, wanting to get somewhere safer.
But that is when Monochromon fires off another Volcanic Strike from inside the cave, heading toward Davis and Veemon, which the two avoid only thanks to Veemon quickly pushing them down the cliff and onto the ground, but the attack keeps going and now heading to where Kari and Gatomon were with the two barely avoiding it themselves.
"Kari, are you ok?" Gatomon asked her partner in concern.
Kari gritted her teeth as she held her leg that was bleeding, having cut her leg from the impact of avoiding Monochromon's attack. "I can't move my leg, and it's broken and bleeding."
"Kari!" Tai called out in fear and tried to rush over to her, but the Diatrymon made a pass at him, forcing him to evade rolling backward and keeping him from getting to his sister.
"Damn it!" Tai cursed.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon released a ball of fire, trying to force Diatrymon away from his partner but just like with Monochromon, his Pepper breath only seemed to annoy the bird Digimon.
"This is bad. We won't last much longer if we can't digivolve," Patamon said.
During that, Davis was recovering from his fall. While his body was sore, nothing was broken except his goggles.
"Davis, tell me, what hurts?" Veemon asked in concern.
"Everything but my pride, but I'm alright." Davis groaned before he slowly got up.
At that point, Davis felt shaking in his pocket.
"What the?" Davis reached into his pocket to find what was shaking in there only to find the weird toy from earlier, except it was now opened and moving around.
The Trap Bakugan then leaped in the air before glowing, and its place was a black-colored 6-headed serpent who began hissing at the opposition.
"Alright, now I'm getting confused. Why is this toy suddenly alive?" Davis asked only for the Bakugan to turn two of its 6 heads towards Davis and hissed at him in anger
"Oh, I guess I landed on you. I'm sorry for that," Davis guessed, not realizing that it was the toy remark.
"Davis! We can use some help here!" Sora called out as she immediately had to roll away to avoid Diatrymon grabbing at her with its sharp-clawed feet.
Legionoid immediately understood the situation, and even though its owner Jaden wasn't around, it quickly slithered at a quick speed at Diatrymon and pushed the bird off of Sora.
At seeing the new arrival, all the Digidestined and Digimon looked at the 6-headed serpent
"Woah! I didn't see that coming," Davis said in awe.
"I've never seen a creature like that. Is it a Digimon?" TK asked Patamon.
"No, I've never heard of Digimon like him before." Patamon answered.
At that time, the Digimon Emperor watching the battle was surprised by the appearance of Legionoid. "What is that creature? I have no data on it at all," the Digimon Emperor gritted his teeth in anger.
He then pressed a few buttons on his counsel to give Diatrymon new orders to focus on the new creature that appeared and kill it; he will just study the corpse later to find out what it was. He also noticed that one of the girls had gotten hurt and was vulnerable, making her the perfect target for Monochromon cause no matter if they try to protect her or run to save themselves, he can scratch off one annoying pest from his kingdom.
Legionoid began to position four of his six heads, two aimed at Agumon and Biyomon and two at Patamon and Gatomon, while the last two were staring at both Diatrymon and Monochromon.
"Ah, why are you looking at us?" Patamon asked uneasily.
"I'm not sure, just hoping he is still on our side." Agumon said uncertainty
Legionoid then fired from four of his heads, a deluge of nearly white liquid, with only a hint of purple on the coloring.
The liquid began dissolving in each of the targeted Digimon's skin.
"Eh, what was that stuff?" Biyomon said in disgust.
"Wait, I'm suddenly getting stronger." Agumon stated
"Yeah, me too." Patamon stated
"Whatever he fired at us, made us all stronger." Gatomon said
"Do you think you can digivolve?" Tai asks with hope in his voice.
"Unfortunately, no, but maybe it's enough to even odds." Agumon said, getting an idea.
"Pepper breath!" Agumon fired his attack, but unlike last time the fireball was much larger and more powerful, and when it hit Diatrymon, it actually caused the Digimon to cry out in pain.
"Awesome, I feel amazing!" Agumon said it was amazing at how powerful his attack had become.
"My turn, Spiral Twister!" Biyomon shouted, flapping her wings, making purple flames instead of green which easily burns Diatrymon, causing the bird pain and making Digimon struggle to stay in the air.
"Cool, my turn, Boom Bubble!" Patamon shouted, launching an air attack at Diatrymon, knocking it right out of the sky. When he landed on the ground, the Dark Ring on him was destroyed.
"Alright! One down," Tai smirked.
Monochromon ignored the others and began to charge at Kari and Gatomon. "Ahh!" Kari screamed.
"Davis!" Veemon shouted.
Davis growled, grabbing his broken goggles and throwing them to the ground. "I won't let you hurt Kari! Digi-Armor Energize!" he shouted, holding the Digiegg of Courage.
(Armor digivolve sequence)
The symbol of courage appears in the stream of data where both Veemon and digiegg of courage appears as well
"Veemon armor digivolve to!" Said as he and the Digi egg meet in the middle of the symbol of courage.
Veemon is then encased in flames as the images of the Agumon evolution line (Agumon, Greymon, Metalgreymon, and Wargreymon) as Veemon's body change in flames, taking shape.
Then blades extended from Veemon's new body, hands, and head, freeing him from flames and revealing his new form.
"Flamedramon the fire of courage." As Flamedramon said, the streams of fire appear behind as stand ready to fight.
(Armor digivolve complete)
Just as Monochromon was about to hit Kari and Gatomon, Flamedramon rammed into Monochromon, knocking him over.
Flamedramon landed on his feet. Everyone looked at the newly digivolved Digimon and was surprised by his evolution.
"Armor digivolve?" Tai uttered, that he never heard of this type of Digivolving.
"What's that?" Sora asked, also surprised by this new type of Digivolving.
"Armor digivolve, huh? Against the power of my dark digivice they shouldn't be able to digivolve at all." the Digimon Emperor Said, and unlike the strange creature which brought out his angry seeing him as an invader to his kingdom this armor digivolve intrigued him.
"They're more resourceful than I thought." As he watched the screen with Flamedramon to see how he would fare against Monochromon.
Legionoid, seeing their new Ally, then fired from all six of his heads, a deluge of nearly white liquid, with only a hint of purple on the coloring, covering Flamedramon's entire body in it.
The liquid began dissolving in Flamedramon's skin
Flamedramon began to feel more power swelling inside him as his appearance changed. His armor was now a dark purple, and he was emitting purple flames from his body.
Flamedramon looked over himself, surprised by the new change to not just his armor but his power as well. But he wasn't complaining.
Monochromon charges at Flamedramon, who stops him in his tracks and then grabs Monochromon and throws him over his shoulder, making a massive smoke cloud from the force of Monochromon hit the ground.
After the smoke clears, Monochromon is shown in a small creator but is over-wise fine as he recovers, as Flamedramon rushed at him. "Volcanic Strike!" Monochromon fires multiple blasts of fire at Flamedramon.
Flamedramon began to leap and dodge out of the attacks; he ducked, rolled to the side, and sidestepped before he backhanded one in a tree behind him, making it explode on him, causing it to explode before one of the last ones hit him, creating a smoke cloud but the armor Digimon emerged unscathed glaring at Monochromon.
Monochromon roared as the charged at Flamedramon, whose right claw burst into purple flames. "Flame Knuckle!" Flamedramon shouted as he punched forward the two Digimon collided, and both stopped with their backs towards each other for what seemed like forever just then, Dark Ring on Monochromon busted into purple flames and shattered from heat, causing Monochromon to collapse, exhausted.
"Dark Ring crispy just how I like them," Gatomon said, impressed by Flamedramon destroying the Dark Ring.
Just then, Flamedramon began to glow orange before a beam of orange energy shot at Davis's Digivice. Before another light shot into his pocket, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a D-terminal, which showed the digiegg of courage in it.
"That's a good Monochromon," Sora said, petting the exhausted but now friendly Monocromon.
Davis rushed over to Kari and then kneaded down to her. "Are you alright?" he asked in fear and concern, but then he noted her leg was bleeding out. "Oh, Kari, your leg!"
"I'm fine, Davis," Kari said, trying to put on a brave face, despite the pain she was in.
"I know when you are lying," Davis said, frowning as he took off his jacket and before tying it around Kari's leg, making it tight and causing her to wince. "It may not be first aid, but it should stop the bleeding until we get you home," told Kari, not seeing any blood getting past his makeshift bandage.
"Thanks," Kari smiled, happy Davis was looking out for her.
Davis helped Kari to her feet, the brunette had to use him as a support. She tried to walk on her leg, but she hissed in pain. Her leg is broken, so she couldn't walk on her own for a while.
"Kari, are you ok?" Tai asked in worry as he walked up to the two.
"It will be fine, Tai," Kari said.
A few minutes later, both Monochromon and Diatrymon walked away from the group, both grateful to the Digidestined for freeing them.
"Bye, Monochromon and Diatrymon, don't forget to write." Kari called out, waving.
"It's hard to believe that the Digimon Emperor can turn such nice Digimon into such beasts?" TK said.
"Yeah, we'll have to tell the others about this when we get back," Sora said.
Davis nodded before turning to Legionoid. "Thanks for your help; if you weren't here, things would have ended badly for us,"
"Yeah, thanks for the power boost." Veemon smiled.
"I'm still wondering what he is. I've never seen a Digimon like him before." Tai said, studying Legionoid.
Legionoid hissed at Davis; clearly, he was still mad about something.
"What's wrong? Are you still mad about me falling on you?" Davis asked. He thought for a minute and asked. "Is this about calling you a toy?
Legionoid nods his 6-heads
"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Davis apologized.
"I apologize too. We didn't know you were a living being." Kari apologized as well.
Legionoid glowed before returning back to his trap form and landed in Davis's hand.
"Davis," Tai spoke, getting his attention. "You and Veemon did pretty well today with handling Monochromon and saving my sister, and I noticed you broke your goggle, and the leader of the team would look weird without them, so I want you to have mine," Tai said, taking his goggles and giving them to Davis.
"Wow," Davis said as he put them on. "Thanks, Tai." Davis said, feeling honored.
"Then look handsome on you," Kari said, kissing him on the cheek, making Davis laugh while blushing.
"Look, the sun's going down. Now we can relax," Patamon said, looking at the sunset.
"Why's that?" Kari asked.
"The Digimon Emperor doesn't come out at night." Gatomon said, glad that they're safe for now.
"I'm not surprised, and if he is a Digidesiend, then he has to go back home," Tai said he and Sora would have to go back to her real world if they want to keep up appearances and not draw suspicions, so it makes sense for the Emperor to have to do the same.
"We should be getting back and getting Kari some real medical attention," Sora said, looking at Kari's injured leg.
The others nodded in agreement before they made their way back to the Digiport with Kari riding piggyback on Davis' back.
Back in the computer room, Izzy, along with Nobu, Yolei, and Cody, were enjoying some brownies as Izzy had finished explaining what the two needed to know to pass the time while waiting.
"So, Izzy, can we go into the digital world now that you filled us in?" Yolei asked.
"I don't think so. The gate to the digital gate could close; it would be risky to send anyone else in." Izzy answered as he took a bite of the brownie in his hand.
"We just hope they handled whatever happened in the digital world and are heading back now," Nobu said.
"At least we have some tasty brownies," Cody said, having gotten the brownies for everyone to eat before Izzy started his explanation.
"Yeah, these are good," Izzy said, enjoying the brownies.
"Hey, guys!" Davis' voice came from the computer, making everyone turn around, scaring them, and causing Izzy to drop the brownie he was holding.
At that moment a light appeared from the computer, and out came Tai, Sora, TK, Davis, and Kari, and they all landed on Izzy, Cody, Yolei, and Nobu.
Resulting in a massive pile-up making it incredibly hard for anyone to get free as various complaints are heard from everyone.
"Stop, you guys are crushing my brownies." Said Izzy said trying to protect his brownies
"Gaah forgets your brownies, and you're all crushing me. Get off." Nobu yelled
"It's not our fault we fell on you two!" Sora shouted.
"Whoever on my leg, would you please get off it!" Kari shouted desperately, resisting the urge to scream in pain.
"Sorry," Tk, who was on Kari's leg, immediately got off.
"Kari, what happened to you?" Yolei, who had gotten out of the dogpile, looked at her in worry.
The others looked at Kari's leg, which was again bleeding now that the jacket Davis used as a bandage was gone having disappeared when left the digital world.
"Oh god, what happened?" Izzy asked in shock.
Tai didn't answer as he took off his blazer and wrapped it around her leg to stop the bleeding. "We ran into trouble, Izz, and Kari got hurt badly in the process," Tai answered as he finished wrapping the makeshift bandage around Kari's leg. "There, that should hold until we get you to a hospital,"
"I may not have the same training as Joe does, but you're probably going to be in a cast for at least 3 months," Izzy said, looking at Kari's leg.
Kari could only sigh, realizing she won't be much help with her one leg in a cast, meaning she won't be going to the digital world for a while, which is really bad with the Digimon Emperor causing trouble.
"He's right. We should take her to my place. Mom should be able to patch it up." Nobu suggested.
"Is the digital world that dangerous?" Cody asked Davis.
"Yes, I thought I was going to die all of Us," Davis admitted. "But we did have some help," he said before holding up Legionoid.
"The toy?" Yolei asked, wondering how the toy could help them. However, Legionoid only hissed at Yolei, who backed away.
"ahh, a possessed toy." Yolei yelled, hiding behind Izzy with Legionid hissing even more at her even more after hearing her call him a toy again.
"Yeah, he doesn't like to be called a toy. It's thanks to him we got out of that mess," Davis chuckled.
"Fascinating, he isn't a Digimon? So what is he?" Izzy wondered what the creature could be.
"He sprayed some weird gunk on the Digimon, and it gave them a power boost and were able to take out a champion Digimon without digivolving," TK explained.
"We can talk it over later. Right now, we need to get Kari some proper treatment," Nobu said.
The others nodded in agreement, and Davis, after putting Legionoid in his shirt pocket, picked up Kari putting her on his back to carry her piggyback style.
"You two should go home tonight, and we can talk more tomorrow," Izzy told Yolei and Cody.
Both nodded as they gather their stuff and they left the school
While they were on their way home, they all ran into Jaden, who was surprised that they were still out during school hours.
"Hey, what are you guys doing out here during school ho-." Jaden started before he noticed that Kari's leg was injured with a jacket wrapped around it to stop the bleeding. "What happened to you?"
"Umm… I cut myself…" Kari said, trying to come up with a good excuse.
"What were you doing to get a cut like that on your leg?" Jaden asked, questioning them.
"Sorry, Mr. Yuki, but we need to get her to a hospital." Tai said he wanted to get Kari to the hospital as fast as he could.
"Hold on a moment." Jaden said as he took out his cell and called someone. (Alice, honey, are you back home?)
(yes, what do you need? Are you bringing a skank home?) Alice asked.
(What? No? One of my students has an injured leg, and I'm wondering if you could have a look at it.) Jaden asked
(is it really that bad?) Alice asked, wondering how bad it could be to have her look at it instead of a hospital.
(She's bleeding, and the leg looks like the bones are broken a little, but I can't be sure) Jaden explained using his own experience with injuries.
(alright, bring her as fast as you can, and try to find that trap you lost there, not telling what it could do if someone got their hands on it,) Alice said.
(Alright, already. Get off my back, by the way. Has Keith and Fabia come back already?) Jaden asked
(Fabia is, but Keith is still out and about.) Alice answered.
(Okay, I'll be there soon) Jaden said as he hung up before turning to everyone. "Good news, my wife could look at her injury to see what she can do so we are going to bring her to my house, alright."
"Strange being invited to a starting teacher sounds kinda scary," Davis joked. "After all, we just met you today."
"Just follow me alright." Jaden said
The team did as told and followed Jaden to his home, with Davis carrying Kari the entire time on his back. They soon came to a large house with a dragon statue on the front lawn. To the right was a large forest. And on the left was a large garage. Overall besides the dragon statue, it was your average-looking house near a forest.
"Wow, that is an amazing garden," Kari said.
"Yeah, must have taken a lot of yen to make that statue?" Tai was impressed by the statue.
"It sure did." Jaden answered. "Come on, let's head inside."
The group nodded and walked inside with Jaden. As they entered, the house looked normal, it had a small table with a pot of pink flowers at the entrance.
"Alice, we are here. Where do you want us?" Jaden called out to the house.
"Go to the living room, and I'll be out there in a second!" Alice called back.
Jaden gestured for them to follow them to the living room. In the living room was a long red couch and a matching chair on the side. It also had a long table in the middle of the room with a TV at the very end of the room.
"Nice digs," Davis said.
"You can put her on the couch." They heard Alice say from nearby.
The children turned and saw a beautiful orange-haired woman wearing a mint green dress with matching mint green slippers carrying a medical bag.
"It seems you were telling the truth about a student," Alice told Jaden as she sat down on the couch. "You can put her down next to me," she told Davis.
Davis nodded as Kari got off his back. Davis helped Kari over, and she sat down next to Alice.
"Lift your leg up on the table, ok?" Alice asked Kari kindly.
Kari gritted her teeth as she tried to lift her leg up but just couldn't. Alice gave a sad frown. She gently took Kari's leg in her making her gasp in pain. Davis grabbed her hand, which Kari squeezed tightly. Alice then placed Kari's leg on the table.
"Alright, let's see that leg," Alice said as she took off the green blazer and saw that Kari's leg had mostly stopped bleeding; she then felt around the leg, making Kari flinch. Alice nodded. "Yeah, this is definitely broken," Alice said.
"Is there anything you could do?" Jaden asked
"Yes, but it could take time," Alice said as she gently set Kari's leg down on a pillow.
"I see." Jaden sighed before leaving the room.
"Dummy," Alice shook her head, before turning to the others. "This may take a while. Feel free to look around and get something to eat if you want and if my idiot husband gives you trouble, come get me, and i'll kick his ass,"
"Thanks for the offer." Davis said before turning to Kari. "if you need me I won't be far away ok?"
"I'm not a little girl Davis; if I can deal with you and Xeno, I can deal with this," Kari told him.
"Yeah, don't coddle your girl too much. She's able to take care of herself," Alice said as she and Kari smiled at each other, having come to an understanding with each other.
Not long after, the gang walked around the house looking at some of the things in their new teacher's home. They then walked past a small statue of a dragon on a table.
"He really likes Dragons, doesn't he?" Davis asked, confused.
"Maybe it's a fetish thing?" Tai said, crossing his arms.
"Don't be rude Tai." Sora said.
Davis wanted to get a closer look at the statue. He grabbed the statue and tried to pull it closer but wouldn't budge.
"Davis, I wouldn't do that." Nobu told him.
"I just wanted to get a better look at this whoa." Davis said as he pulled until finally, the statue moved.
However, the statue shifted positions, causing a hidden staircase to be revealed.
"Woah!" Davis uttered in shock.
"What the hell is this?" Tai asked, also shocked.
"Umm, I think we should just leave it alone," Sora suggested, not wanting to get involved with whatever was going on. "These two must be kidnappers inviting us over, and we left Kari alone with Alice."
"Nobu, this is a mess up. Did you ever think this could happen?" Tai asked Nobu.
"Not in the slightest," Nobu answered,
Davis didn't say anything, his curiosity got the better of him, and he began to descend down the stairs.
"Davis, where are you going?" Sora asked.
"I want to see what these two are hiding. I'm starting to think that Jaden and Alice aren't who they say they are," Davis said as he continued to descend.
"I'll follow him down," Nobu said. "Tai and Sora go back with Kari just in case something goes wrong,"
"Right, be careful." Tai nodded before he and Sora went back to the living room.
Davis and Nobu continued their descent down the dark stair. Both felt like they had been walking down for a while; as they kept walking, Davis spoke up.
"Kinda feels like entering the Batcave, doesn't it, Nobu?" Davis asked.
"Feels like trespassing Davis," Nobu said, feeling a little uneased from the staircase is not something that the house would normally have, and the fact that they went out of the way to hide it doesn't help.
"I know, but don't you think it's strange that they have a staircase going down to who knows where?" Davis asked; his gut was telling him that there was more to Jaden than he first thought, and he wasn't going to stop until he found out.
They then saw a light at the end of the staircase; the two exited the staircase and were then shocked by what they saw. They saw a huge computer room with a computer screen on the end with many complex machines that looked decades ahead of what they had.
"Nobu, what the fuck is this?" Davis asked in shock.
"I have no fucking idea." Nobu said
Davis looked around and then saw a weird machine that had 4 toys inside, he then took out Legionoid and saw they looked similar, but they were round like a ball.
"Wait, there's more of them?" Davis said
Jaden then showed up behind them and crossed his arms. "If you two are here for extra credit, you came to the wrong place." Jaden said
Davis and Nobu turned around and glared at him. "Alright! No more games, you're no teacher who the hell are for real and what are these things," Davis demanded.
"No, I think I'll ask the questions here. "What are you doing here?" Jaden snarled. "And to answer your accusations, I am a teacher."
"I don't think a teacher has a hidden lab underneath his house." Nobu said accusingly.
"That's funny coming from all of you." Jaden said, "The kind of injury Kari had isn't one that just happens by accident." Jaden said back
"Maybe, maybe not, and a creature that can turn into a ball isn't strange either, right?" Davis countered.
"Neither are creatures made completely out of data that could exist in the real world." Jaden retorted back
"That's a fair point," Nobu was willing to admit. "However, you seem to know about Digimon, but we have no idea what these creatures are,"
"They're called Bakugan." a voice said, causing everyone to turn to the source of the voice.
They turned to see Alice along, Kari(with the support of Alice), Tai, Sora, and a Young blue-haired woman wearing a white shirt with a matching white jacket and shorts.
"Just who are you two?" Davis asked. "And what is crap all about?" gesturing at the lab.
"I'll asked the questions here, you brat." Jaden snarled. "What are they doing messing around in my house."
"Cause I gave them permission too." Alice said.
"Great Job Alice, now they know." Jaden said.
"Oh, shut up; you are the one who suggested they come here, and I see they found the trap you lost." Alice snapped at him.
"Yeah, which reminds me," Jaden said as he walked up to Davis before taking Legionoid. "I'll take him back."
"Are you ok buddy? Did they do anything to you?" Jaden asked Legionoid
"Hey, we did nothing to him," Sora said.
"Just ignore him. He's just being an asshole." Alice told Sora.
"Thanks for having my back, my loving wife." Jaden said in a sarcastic tone, only to get a glare from Alice. "Sorry," Jaden said weakly, knowing if he values sleeping in a bed he should be very careful what he says to her.
"We do owe you thanks for at least finding the Bakugan Trap, which Jaden lost." Fabia stated.
"Don't do this to me as well Fabia." Jaden complained about being two punching bag.
"I'm sorry, but you were careless when you brought it to their school and forgot it," Fabia said sincerely. "Where did you all find it anyway?"
"It was in the computer room on the desk," Kari answered.
"And you were there with us," Davis told Jaden.
"Correction, I was doing some work and left before you all arrived." Jaden corrected Davis
"And that's when Izzy found it, and Davis put him in his pocket," Tai said.
"How was I supposed to know it belonged to our new teacher who just so happens to have a lab with a lot of them in it?" Davis asked, crossing his arms.
Suddenly a buzzing sound was heard.
"Ah, looks like Dharak's and the others' checkups are done." Jaden said.
"Dharak? Is that name one of those Bakugan?" Davis asked, pointing at the machine.
"Yes, and be careful he can be as much of an asshole as my husband," Alice answered.
Jaden just glared at Alice for that comment.
Fabia just shook her head before walking over to the chambers and beginning to type on the computer soon, and a hissing sound came from the chambers before they opened, releasing the four Bakugan from inside.
"How are you all feeling?" Fabia asked the four.
Dharak popped open first. "Well, if you must know, I feel horrible. This world is shit, and I-." Dharak ranted until he saw Jaden's students from this morning in the command center. "Why the hell are there kids from the school here?"
"If you must know, those brats stuck their noses where they don't belong." Jaden told his partner.
"Great." Dharak droned out with sarcasm. "Not only do I have to go through these daily check-ups, but I can't even resume my true form. I hate this world." Dharak snarled.
"Our world's not exactly a paradise either," Hydranoid said as he popped open. "Hey Alice, how was your day?"
"It was good. Are you feeling better?" Alice asked her partner.
"I still feel the same, but other than it's the same for me as well. I also can't assume my true form." Hydranoid answered.
"So this form they're in is a temporary form, and they can't assume their true form in our world?" Kari asked, remembering how Legionoid went from his toy form to his true form.
"Oh no, not exactly. They could all assume their true form in the real world as well. It all depends on the world's energy and dimensional properties." Alice said.
"So they can only assume their true form when the conditions are met?" Sora asked.
"Like the Digital World, its environment and energy are much different than earth's," Nobu said.
"But where are these Bakugan from? I can tell they aren't from the Digital World and definitely not from earth," Tai said.
"We don't have to tell you anything," Helios growled before popping it open. "I don't trust them, we barely know anything about these brats and this shithole world,"
"The feeling is mutual, and we don't know you as either.." Davis said.
Jaden leaned forward at Davis. "Listen, you little brat. "I could have ignored you but I decided to help your friend with her injuries you were still my students but that didn't give you the right to go around touching stuff in my house even when Alice gave you permission to look around." Jaden snarled.
Everyone started to have their heads down as Jaden was right.
"Jaden down, boy, what's done is done," Alice said. She knew he was right; however, that didn't matter. "And Davis is right. You may be his teacher and brought Kari to be treated, yet they don't know completely about us or trust us technically we are strangers to him and his friends,"
Jaden just breathe in and out. "Very well."
"Sorry, I just wanted to see the statue closer, and I didn't know it would lead to a secret underground base," Davis apologized.
"It's fine; I'm sorry as well." Jaden apologized as well.
"Now that we're done, maybe while I help Kari, we can explain a little bit. Is that ok?" Alice asked Jaden.
"Do as you will." Jaden muttered.
"We can't tell you everything yet, but let's just say we aren't from around here," Fabia said.
"Alright, so where are you from?" Tai asked.
"I and Jaden are from Japan, and Fabia is from a place called Neathia," Alice said as she held Kari's leg and began to project a warm ray of light on it.
"I never heard of Neathia before," Sora said, confused.
"That's because it's another planet." Dharak muttered. "In another dimension."
"Another planet, so you are an alien?" Davis asked in surprise.
"Bingo." Fabia smiled
"But you look no different from any other human," Sora stated.
"Just a disguise." Jaden muttered from the desk.
"If she's an alien then that makes the Bakugan aliens as well since they aren't Digimon," Nobu said, now beginning to understand. "You also said in another dimension, which means you all aren't from here?"
"What do you mean Nobu?" Tai asked.
"Have you ever heard of the multiverse theory?" Nobu asked
"I have." Kari answered. "The theory about there being other universes or dimensions that coexist with ours on parallel dimension planes in each world the reality is different from our own sometimes only slightly others very radically,"
"Ding ding ding." Jaden sounded. "Give Nobu the prize. He's exactly right. You know, I was told by the Vice-pricipal that you were one of the top students, and he wasn't joking." Jaden said, impressed.
"Thanks," Nobu nodded.
"So you guys are from a parallel earth, where instead of Digimon, you have Bakugan," Davis said, starting to understand.
"That's just the tip of the iceberg on our earth," Alice said
"Tip of the iceberg?" Nobu questioned
"We'll tell you when the time is right," Alice said. "But right now, for some reason, our partners can't assume their true form in this world or the Digital World, they all require tremendous amounts of energy to achieve this, and the only Bakugan that could are the Bakugan Traps, as you all saw in your trip just now."
"Man, if we still had our crests, maybe we could have helped your partners," Tai said, thinking that the crests of the original DigiDestined could have helped.
"That's alright. We'll find a way to help them," Fabia said
"In the meantime, while I was at work, I was sending data to the command center with an alternative method." Jaden said.
"Alternative method?" Tai asked.
"That's right, Alice. Remember back in Interspace battlers were given a Digital Bakugan to start out with?" Jaden asked
"Yes, I remember," Alice answered. "But what does that have to do with now?"
"Well, I was thinking, what if we were to use average Bakugan and use the tech here to convert them into reality," Jaden suggested. "I've already asked Keith what he thinks, and he agrees that it's our best option so far until our primary partners are back to fighting shape."
"That does sound like a good idea," Fabia agreed. "However, with the technology of this world, it might take time,"
"That's why Keith is working at the science center; he'll be able to get the tech in order for us to do so," Jaden said.
"I've heard of Keith recently joining the science center on the news; his ideas have baffled and have gained the attention of the staff there," Kari said,
"That's Keith, we just need a few more components, and we'll be ready to begin," Jaden said.
Just then, everyone heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"That must be Keith now," Jaden said
Arriving downstairs was a young man with long, spiky blonde hair and dull blue eyes. He was wearing a red T-shirt, brown pants, and black boots.
"I'm back," Keith said.
"Welcome home, Keith," Alice said as she began to finish Kari's treatment.
"Thanks, Alice." Kari said, now able to move and walk on her leg again.
"Your welcome, now be more careful in the Digital World, alright? I doubt Jaden will be happy bringing you kids and your friends here every time one of you gets hurt." Alice smiled
"I'll make sure not to make it a habit," Kari smiled as she stood up and lightly stomped her foot on the ground. "Good as new,"
"Excellent." Jaden smiled before growing. "Seriously, don't make it a habit, alright, please." Jaden begged I really don't want to bring you here every time one of you gets injured or worse."
"We'll try," Tai said, but knowing how dangerous the digital world was, getting hurt was always a risk there. "And thank you for healing, Kari. I was going to have a hard time explaining to our parents how she got hurt,"
"No problem," Jaden said. "I understand how it feels protecting your younger sisters as well."
"Oh really?" Alice muttered, remembering a time when that wasn't the case.
Jaden elbowed Alice before glancing at her.
"What does she mean?" Sora asked.
Jaden had a sorrowful expression on his face. "Let's just say that it's from a dark time in my days."
"Alright," Tai simply nodded while feeling like there was more to what he said. "Anyway, I think it's time for us to head home,"
"He's right. Thanks for helping us." Sora said, "And sorry for, well, you know, thinking that you were kidnappers."
"Wait what?" Jaden said
"Never mind, forget what we said." Nobu nervously smiled
"Yeah, you guys are alright," Davis laughed nervously.
"No, seriously, what did you think we were?" Jaden asked
"Forget it, Jaden," Alice said, putting her hand over his mouth. "You all get before he runs his mouth more,"
The kids nodded before leaving the room. Jaden finally took Alice's hand off his mouth and glared at her.
"Why did you do that?" Jaden demanded.
"To shut you up, and besides, it doesn't matter what they think of us. Now things are fine," Alice said.
"Very well, but you didn't have to comment on that," Jaden said. "I'm well aware of what I did to my sisters was wrong. That's no reason for you to keep bringing it up, alright." Jaden said
"At times, you forget what you did in the past and portray yourself as always being right, and at times it can be too much to deal with." Alice frowned.
"So those kids were your students?" Keith asked.
"Yeah, they were. What did you think of them?" Jaden asked
"Just children you conceived with another woman over the years," Keith shrugged, which made both Alice and Fabia laugh at that comment.
"Oh, haha, very funny, everyone but seriously." Jaden asked, "What did you think of them?"
"I can't say, I barely know anything about them," Keith said, having just come back.
"I think they are good kids," Alice answered. "That Davis kid reminds me of you,"
"And Kari is much like Alice, but Nobu reminded me of Ryouken and Shun." Fabia said.
"But what do you personally think of them?" Keith asked.
"They're alright. They're good kids, and I like them." Jaden smiled. "I think this will be a great year at my job." he smiled.
A/N: this took a while. This isn't the real Digimon Chapter. Think of this as a test run chapter to see how it goes, as you see Jaden, Alice, Fabia, and Keith, who are from my Co-Writer SkylanderZilla's story, and I have to thank my other Co-Writer Sandshrewmaster for his help as well. As said before, this chapter is a test run chapter. Tell me what you would like to change, anything that you think I miss, and what we can improve on for the real one.
