Long ago, two races ruled over earth, humans and monsters. . .
One day, war broke out between the two races. . .
After a merciless battle, the humans were victorious.
They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.
However. . . Humans where not the only ones that knew about the monsters.
-In the digital world-
Things weren't looking all happy and sunny, why? Because of the current events that are unfolding in the digital world. Strange rays of light have been appearing and every time one appears, a digimon goes missing. Currently, six digimon have been taken away by these strange lights, four of them being of the royal guard of King Shoutmon, and none of them have been found since. On the upside, it has been over 3 months since a digimon has went missing, until one day. . . it happened again.
-King Shoutmon's Castle-
The king sits on his throne, still brooding over the lost of the missing digimon. Since the event has started to occur, he has sent all his remaining guard to search for the missing digimon, but no luck has come up. This only made him worry even more, but he knew that he had to stay positive and hope for the best.
Shoutmon: *sigh*…
Purple Dragon: Osama? Is everything ok?
Shoutmon: Oh! Y-yeah…everything is fine Gumdramon…
The purple, young, dragon is named Gumdramon, Shoutmon's best friend…well, one of his friends.
Gumdramon: Are you sure? You look tired…
Shoutmon: Trust me, I'm okay dude…I'm just…a little concerned.
Gumdramon: Are you talking about the missing digimon?
Shoutmon sighs and sits up straight on his throne.
Shoutmon: I'm…afraid more like it. All of them have been missing for three months. Who knows what happened to them?
The dragon walks up to him and gives him a pat on the shoulder.
Gumdramon: Hey Osama look, I'm sure they are all okay, even if they are in a dangerous world or whatever, they might be with the others and are fighting together and WILL find a way to get home. So please…stop worrying so much.
The king stares at Gumdramon for a few seconds before smiling and rubbing the dragon's head.
Shoutmon: Hehehe…thanks kid, I guess I needed that
Gumdramon: H-Hey! Stop rubbing my head! Also, I'm not a kid anymore!
Shoutmon: Says you~
The purple dragon blushes slightly as the king laughs. Before long, a white, long ear, rabbit looking, female digimon comes in.
Long Ear Digimon: Umm, hello? Am I interrupting something?
Shoutmon then stops the head rubbing to look at the entrance to the throne room.
Shoutmon: O-oh! Lunamon, good to see you
This is Lunamon. A shy, timid, and sweet digimon that Shoutmon has known for a long time.
Lunamon: Hello my king
Lunamon bows in his presence, the king only laughs.
Shoutmon: Come'on Lunamon, no need to be so formal. I'm still the same old Shoutmon you know.
The rabbit digimon blushes slightly at his words and tugs at her antennae strand.
Lunamon: O-oh…okay
Shoutmon: So, was there something you needed?
Lunamon starts to twiddle her fingers.
Lunamon: Umm…how is the search going? Have they found…her?
Remember the digimon that went missing, well one of those happens to be one of Lunamon's friends, well, more of her apprentice. Lunamon is the princess of the Disk Zone, after it was destroyed and rebuilt, she overtook the job as the ruler of the zone. Some though she wouldn't make it as a leader, but did she prove them wrong.
Shoutmon: Sorry…no leads…
Lunamon lowers her head.
Lunamon: I see…
Shoutmon: But look, we are working as hard as we can, so don't give up hope just yet.
The rabbit digimon looks up at her king, smiling at him with hope in her eyes.
Lunamon: Okay, if you say so Shoutmon. Hehe.
When she giggled, Shoutmon blushed a little bit, which was almost unnoticeable because of his red skin.
Shoutmon: N-no problem, hehehe
Lunamon: Anyway, thank you for the update my lord.
She bows and leaves the throne room. All the king could do was smile, seeing her happy makes him happy too. That was when the dragon started giggling. Shoutmon turned to him with a confused face.
Shoutmon: What?
Gumdramon: Hehehe, Shoutmon and Lunamon, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G~
Shoutmon's face became redder. He balled up his fist and punched Gumdramon in the arm.
Gumdramon: Oww! Hey, I was just saying, gezz…
Shoutmon: Don't say stuff like that!
Gumdramon: Not my fault you like her
Shoutmon looked away in embarrassment. Turns out the king has a crush on Lunamon for a while now but hasn't had the courage to say. Despite being the king and the sole leader of the digital world, yet even he has trouble with feelings. Suddenly, a loud roar erupted from nowhere, making everything shake.
Shoutmon: Woah! What was that?!
The purple dragon looks outside the castle window, his face goes pale.
Gumdramon: Osama…it's happening again…
When Gumdramon said those words, Shoutmon became panicked. He knew what those words meant. The king hurried to the window to see a pillar of red light coming from the ground, in fact, it was close. He knew where the light was coming from.
Shoutmon: The Village of Smiles…
Shoutmon started dashing out of his throne room and towards the exit, with this in his mind.
Shoutmon: (Maybe…maybe I can save them…I finally have a chance and I'm not going to ruin it!)
-Village of Smiles-
The king was dashing as fast as he could to reach the pillar of red light, but before long, the pillar of light disappeared right as he made it.
Shoutmon: Damnit!
The stutters and mutters from the other digimon became known as Shoutmon entered the village, their faces full of worry and concerned about what just happened.
Shoutmon: Is everything alright here? Is anyone hurt?
While he was making sure nothing dangerous had happened to his citizens, an old looking digimon came up to him.
Old Digimon: Everything is alright my lord, no need to worry.
Shoutmon: Oh, Jijimon, well that's good. But then why did the pillar of light appear? As far as we know, that only happens when a digimon is taken away.
Shoutmon: So, did anyone see who was taken?
Jijimon looked down at the ground, afraid of what to say. Shoutmon looked at him confused.
Shoutmon: Well? Who was it?
Jijimon: Are you sure you want to know the truth? It's not a good one, one that might break your heart…
The king became a little scared of what Jijimon was going to say next.
Jijimon: Well, my lord…it was…Lunamon that was taken…
Those words made Shoutmon freeze up. The words "Lunamon was taken" replayed in his head. The king fell to his knees, his face pale, unable to say anything.
Shoutmon: (N…no…why…why her…why now…? I…I thought…)
Shoutmon balled up his fist and punched the ground in anger and yelled at the top of his lungs.
Shoutmon: GOD DAMNIT! WHY MUST THIS HAPPEN AGAIN?! TO HER EVEN?! DAMNIT!
. . .
. . .
Mount Ebbot 20XX
Legends say that those who climb the mountain, never return.
-Near the middle of the mountain-
After being teleported into a random world, Lunamon began climbing Mount Ebbot to hopefully see the entire area and see if she can find some help.
Lunamon: *huff* huff* Wow…this mountain…is very tall…
By the time she made it ¾ of the way, she saw a cave entrance. When she entered the cave, inside was a big hole in the middle of it.
Lunamon: Woah, that is a big hole…better be careful not fall in.
On the other side of the cave was an exit, but the only problem? The hole barely had any leyway to it. Well, it did have some, but it was REALLY thin. The slightest trip can ruin everything, so she has to be very careful when moving around. She was close to the end of the ledge…until…
Lunamon: Almost-
Lunamon suddenly trips on a vine that was stuck on the ground and falls over into the pit.
Lunamon: AHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh…!
And with that…our tale begins…
Digitale
Lunamon's eyes flutter open as she wakes up, realizing she was still alive somehow.
Lunamon: Ugh…
She stands in a upright position as she rubs her head…only to feel something…odd. Her hands felt strange, they felt more…softer? Smaller even?
Lunamon: What the…?
She moves her hands into view and sees…human hands?! She had human hands! Lunamon began to freak out, could somehow, she had turned into a human female? How on earth was that possible?
Lunamon: Wha…how did…I…I don't…
She was stuttering over and over; she could barely believe what had just happened. More importantly, how did she survive that fall? She had already seen the depth of it, and if anyone fell into it, they would surely die. She then looked at the ground beneath her, she had landed on a bed of flowers. Seems they had broken her fall.
Lunamon: Thank goodness for these flowers. I'd hate to imagine what would've happened if they weren't there.
Even with the shock of her new body, she still felt the same. Getting up on her legs and looking around. All she saw was nothing but cave walls and other plants. Lunamon looks up at where she fell, there was no way she could climb back up, so she had to look for a different route back out. She looked over down the cave and saw a shire looking entrance. Maybe this could lead to an exit. She walked over to it cautiously, afraid of something coming out and attacking her. Once inside, all she saw was a tiny yellow flower. Once she got closer…
Flower: Howdy~
Lunamon: Gah!
The flower started talking!
Flower: Howdy there, I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower!
She took a strange look at Flowey, still not believing a flower was talking to her. How was that possible? The flower took a questionable look at her.
Flowey: Hmm…you're new to the underground, aren't cha?
Lunamon: Umm…well, yes…?
Flowey: Golly, you must be so confused.
Flowey: Someone ought to teach you how things work around here!
Flowey: I guess little old me will have to do
Flowey: Ready? Here we go!
Everything suddenly flashed black, and a red heart appeared in front of Lunamon. This shocked her very much, not understanding what was happening.
Flowey: You see that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!
So, this heart was Lunamon's SOUL. It was kind of like a human heart. When she tried to touch it, it moved away from her. Confused, she moved her hand away, only to have it move back toward her. She though for a second, could she be able to move her SOUL around using her hand? She started to wave her hand in different directions, and as such, her SOUL followed her movements. This very strange to her, yet, very cool!
Flowey: Your SOUL starts off weak, but you can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV.
Lunamon: LV? What's that?
Flowey: What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course!
Flowey: You want some LOVE, don't you?
She was taken aback by that statement that Flowey said, what did they mean by that? Was this flower hitting on her? Hopefully not…
Flowey: Don't worry, I'll share some with you!
Flowey winks at her, making her face go red, they really are hitting on her. Just then, white dots appeared behind them.
Flowey: Down here, LOVE is shared through…
Flowey: Little white…" friendliness pellets"
Flowey: Are you ready?
Flowey: Move you SOUL around and get as many as you can.
The pellets moved toward her, as instructed, she moves her hand forward toward the pellets…only…
Lunamon's HP: 20/20 - 01/20
Lunamon: Oww!
There was a sudden pain that was sent trough her entire body. She clenches her body in agony, what just happened? Why did that hurt her? As she looks at Flowey, she notices an evil grin on their face.
Flowey: YOU IDOIT!
Flowey: In this world, it's KILL or BE KILLED!
She then saw the true face of the flower, and evil and twisted monster.
Flowey: Why would anyone pass up an opportunity like this?!
A ring of pellets sudden surrounded her completely, there was nowhere for her to run, she was trapped.
Flowey: Die!
The pellets slowly moved toward her SOUL as the flower laughs, this was it, this was the end. She was going to die, not being able to go home. The pellets moved closer, closer, closer…then…
Lunamon's HP 01/20 - 20/20
The pellets disappeared and she suddenly felt better. What just happened? Wasn't she supposed to die from that? Even Flowey was confused by this. Just then, a fire ball came out and blasted Flowey away. Out from the darkness came a tall goat lady.
Goat Lady: What a miserable creature, torturing a poor innocent youth.
The lady turns to Lunamon. She starts to back away from her.
Goat Lady: Do not be afraid my child.
Goat Lady: I am Toriel, the CARETAKER of the RUINS.
Toriel: I pass through this place everyday to see if anyone has fallen down.
Toriel: You are the first human to come here in a long time.
Toriel: Come, I will guide you through the catacombs.
The world around Lunamon returns to normal. Toriel starts walking to another exit, motioning her to follow her.
Toriel: This way
Lunamon was still in shock of almost being killed, especially the sudden attack from the flower she just met. While she feared the goat lady doing the same, she decided to trust her and follows her. Once she reached the other side, she was met was a purple and old looked ruin palace. It seems like this place has been abandoned for years. While walking forward, she noticed a small yellow star near the stairs of the ruins. Once she touched it, she heard a voice.
"The shadow of the ruins looms above, filling you with determination."
FILE SAVED
That was very strange, and what was that file saved thing? Maybe it was best to ignore it for now. She walks up the stairs to meet with Toriel. Once she did, there was some kind of puzzle in the room.
Troiel: Welcome to your new home, innocent one.
Troiel: Allow me to educate you in the operation of the RUINS.
Toriel moved around the room stepping four buttons on the floor, and then pulled a lever, opening the door.
Toriel: The RUINS are full of puzzles.
Toriel: Ancient fusions between diversions and door keys.
Toriel: One must solve them to move from room to room.
Toriel moves on ahead, before Lunamon follows, she notices an ancient tablet on the wall.
"Only the fearless may proceed"
"Brave ones, foolish ones."
"Both walk not the middle road."
Lunamon: I wonder what that means…
She catches up with Toriel.
Toriel: To make progress here, you will need to trigger several switches.
Toriel: Do not worry, I have labelled the ones that you need to flip.
Aww, that's awfully nice of her to do for Lunamon. Toriel moves ahead as she follows. She notices a lever with obvious signs on them saying "Flip this lever". Lunamon giggles at that and pulls the lever. Toriel moves forward and yet there was another lever that said, "Flip this lever". As she did before, Lunamon pulls the lever down and the spikes near the exit fall.
Toriel: Splendid! I am proud of you, young one.
Toriel: Let us move to the next room.
Toriel moves forwards as Lunamon follows, she was starting to trust Toriel more now. Once inside the next room, what was in there was a dummy.
Toriel: As a human living in the UNDERGROUND, monsters may attack you.
As if the flower that already tried to kill her wasn't obvious enough.
Toriel: You will need to be prepared for this situation.
Toriel: However, worry not. The process is simple.
Toriel: When you encounter a monster, you will enter a FIGHT.
Toriel: While you are in a FIGHT, strike up a friendly conversation.
Strike up a friendly conversation? Doesn't she realize that the monsters are trying to kill her? What will talking to them do?
Toriel: Stall for time. I will come to resolve the conflict.
Toriel: Practice talking to the dummy.
She motions to the dummy standing in the middle of the room. She does know that dummies can't talk, right? Then again, this was a practice dummy, so it made sense. Lunamon walked up to the dummy and the world flashed black and she was in a FIGHT, just like when she encountered Flowey.
"You encountered the Dummy."
Near her were four different buttons, FIGHT, ACT, ITEM, and MERCY. Toriel said to try and talk to the dummy, so what can she do to do that? Thinking on it for a bit, she presses the ACT button and the words "Check" and "Talk" appeared. She presses the "Talk" action.
"You talked to the Dummy"
Lunamon: Umm…hello mister dummy
". . ."
"It doesn't seem much for conversation"
"Toriel seems happy with you"
"YOU WON"
"Luna earned 0 EXP and 0 GOLD"
The world returned to normal and Toriel had a happy smile on her face.
Toriel: Ah, very good! You are very good.
Toriel and Lunamon move into the next room.
Toriel: There is another puzzle in this room.
Toriel: I wonder if you can solve it.
As they both moved forward, a frog jumps at Lunamon. The world flashed black, and a FIGHT commenced.
"Froggit attacks you!"
The same thing happened again, so Lunamon knows what to do this time.
ACT - Compliment
Lunamon: Hello Froggit, you look nice today~
"Froggit didn't understand what you said but was flattered anyway."
That was when Toriel appeared and glares at the frog, in fear, the frog hops away.
"YOU WON"
"Luna earned 0 EXP and 2 GOLD"
Lunamon: Umm…thank you, I guess?
Toriel: I was just making sure that Froggit didn't hurt you.
With a stare like that? Who wouldn't be scared? Moving forward, she notices another stone tablet on the wall.
"The western room is the eastern room's blueprint"
What did that mean? She decided to move forward. Once she met up with Toriel, in front of them was a huge bed of spikes. Scared by this, she clings to Toriel.
Toriel: Do not be afraid my child.
Toriel: Here, take my hand for a moment.
She held out her hand for Lunamon to take. She obliges and takes it. When they moved towards the spikes, they suddenly lowered, letting them both pass through. She also had seemed to go in a pattern, like she knew where to go to avoid being skewered. Once they reached the other side, Toriel lets go.
Toriel: Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now.
And so, they both move forward.
Toriel: You have excellently thus far, my child.
Toriel: However…I have a difficult request to ask of you.
Lunamon: What kind of request?
Toriel: …
Toriel: I would like you to walk to the end of this room by yourself.
Toriel: Forgive me for this.
Then suddenly, Toriel runs as fast as she can away from Lunamon, leaving her all alone. This did scare her, because what if another monster came out and tried to attack her? Even if she was scared, she had to move forward. Lunamon moved forward, and forward, and even more so. She kept her eye open for any monsters that appear. Lunamon was never a fighter where she came from. She was a weak Digimon that usually cried when someone scary appeared in front of her. But she couldn't be scared this time, she had to be brave, like Shoutmon. Near the exit, was a pillar. Once she got closer, out came Toriel.
Troiel: Greetings, my child. Do not worry, I did not leave you
Toriel: I was merely behind this pillar the whole time.
Oh…that does make sense. She did notice a pillar at the end of the hall when she entered the room.
Toriel: Thank you for trusting me.
Toriel: However, there was an important reason for this exercise.
Toriel: …To test your independence.
I see, so it was like a real-world lesson. Very clever of her.
Toriel: I must attend to some business, and you must stay alone for a while.
Toriel: Please remain here. It's dangerous to explore by yourself.
Toriel: I have an idea. I will give you a CELL PHONE.
A cell phone? Even monsters have human devices here? Wow, this world is very strange. Toriel hands over a very old looking cell phone to Lunamon. Man, this thing looks ancient, does this even work? Well, if she says it does, might as well trust her.
Troiel: If you have a need for anything, just call.
Toriel: Be good, alright?
With that, Toriel takes her leave. Now what? Lunamon wanted to get home, but she couldn't know what could be ahead of the ruins. She takes time to ponder. ….
Lunamon: …I can't just stay here, but lord knows what could be ahead.
Lunamon: Ugh, this is so frustrating!
She grips her human hair in aggravation. So torn on what to do, either leave and find a way out, or stay here like Toriel said. After thinking about it, she came to a decision.
Lunamon: She wants me to be safe, but I can't just stay here.
Lunamon: Alright, time to get a move on!
With that in mind, Lunamon moves forward to the rest of the ruins. Ahead was another yellow star, as she touched it, another voice spoke to her.
"Playfully crinkling through the leaves fills you with determination"
FILE SAVED
Again, what was that voice that keeps speaking to her? Where was it coming from? Before she could think about that any further, a ringing noise could be heard from her phone. She picks it up.
Lunamon: Hello?
Toriel: Hello, this is Toriel.
Toriel: You have not left the room, have you?
Lunamon: Umm…
Oh crap, she didn't expect her to check on her so soon. She had to make up a lie and fast.
Lunamon: Nope, I'm still here…waiting on you, hehe…
Toriel: Oh good.
Toriel: There are a few puzzles ahead that I have yet to explain.
Toriel: It would be dangerous to try to solve them yourself.
Toriel: Be good, alright?
Lunamon: Yes mom.
…! Lunamon then realized what she said, covering her mouth.
Toriel: Did you just call me…mom?
Lunamon: Umm…well…
Toriel: Well…I suppose…
Toriel: Would that make you happy?
Toriel: To call me…mother?
She was taking this very well despite what she just said. Lunamon took a sigh of relief.
Lunamon: I mean…if you don't mind…then yes.
Toriel: Hehehe, alright my child.
Click…
The call ended and she puts her phone away. That's when another monster appeared before her.
"Whimsun approached meekly"
This monster seems a little more…docile, in fact, it looks very scared. Maybe Lunamon could calm it down?
ACT Console
Lunamon: Exc-
"Halfway through your first word, Whimsun bursts into tears and runs away"
"YOU WON"
"Luna earned 0 EXP and 0 Gold."
Lunamon: …
Huh, that was odd, she barely said anything, and the monster ran away. Guess most of the monsters here are weak. As she moves on, she notices another room to the north of her. Once inside, she sees a jar full of candy. She thinks about how she is now human and that she needs food to survive. So, she takes a piece and puts it in her pocket. Moving forward, she sees a patch of leaves on the floor, odd place for them to be, but then she realized it wasn't. Once she got toward the middle, she suddenly fell through it.
Lunamon: Ahhhh!
She landed on her butt on another pile of leaves. She did survive the fall, well, her butt might not have, but she did at least.
Lunamon: Jeez, I'm just falling a lot today huh?
Lunamon: Not the kind of falling I wanted…
She gets back up on her feet and looked around for a way back up. She noticed an open hole to the east of her. Once she entered, there was a ladder that brought her back up. After that, she moved forward.
Ring…Ring…
Lunamon: Hello?
Toriel: Hello? This is Toriel
Toriel: For no reason in particular, which do you prefer?
Toriel: Cinnamon or butterscotch?
Huh, that was an odd question to ask.
Lunamon: Well…I guess I prefer cinnamon
Toriel: Oh, I see. Thank you very much.
Click…
She takes a few steps forward and…
Ring…
Lunamon: Hello…?
Toriel: Hello? This is Toriel.
Toriel: You do no DISLIKE butterscotch, do you?
Lunamon: Umm, well not really a fan, but I don't dislike it
Toriel: Oh, I see. It's just…
Toriel: I know what your preference is, but…
Toriel: Would you turn up your nose if you found it on your plate?
Okay, now this was getting wired. Why is she asking these questions?
Lunamon: Uh, you're kinda weirding me out with these questions.
Lunamon: But! I'm not trying to be rude, I just-
Toriel: Right, right, I understand.
Toriel: Thank you for being patient, by the way.
Click…
After that, another puzzle appeared before her. A rock and a slab. Upon observing, she notices a slab on the wall.
"Three out of four grey rocks recommend you push them"
She then knew what to do, she had to move three rocks onto the stone slabs. She got behind the one in the room and pushes it with all her might, though she doesn't have much…Eventually, the rock makes it onto the slab and the spikes blocking her path lower, allowing her to continue. Moving forward, she sees a huge patch of flowers. Not understanding why, she moves forward. Unfortunately, this becomes her undoing, as she makes movements in random directions, she…
*SNAP*
Lunamon: AHhhhhh!
…Falls through.
Lunamon: Oww…
In defeat, she rubs her arse in pain, just how many times is she gonna fall down here? Right now, she had to get back up, but before she did, she notices another slab.
"Please don't step on the leaves"
What does that mean? As she looks around the room, she notices the leaves form a pathway. Maybe this was the way to avoid falling down again. She makes her way back up through another hole and resumes where she was, remembering the path of the leaves. While doing that, a monster appears!
"Moldsmal blocked the way"
ACT Imitate
"You lie immobile with Moldsmal. You feel like you understand the world a little better."
Moldsmal: *Slime sounds*
White pellets of smile started floating down toward her soul. She tried to move it, but she got hit a few times, still not used to this.
Lunamon's HP: 20/20 12/20
"Moldsmal waits pensively."
MERCY Spare
"YOU WON"
"Luna earned 0 EXP and 4 GOLD"
After that fight, she moves forward. Another puzzle appears, this time, there were three rocks. Remembering the message from before, she knows what she must do. Using her strength, or whatever she has, she moves two of the rocks onto the slabs. Just as she was about to move the third rock…
Rock: WOAH there, pardner! Who said you could push me around?
Lunamon: What the?!
As if a talking flower wasn't wired enough, now there was a talking rock. Sure, why not at this point?
Lunamon: Umm…hello mister rock. I need to get pass those spikes; can you please move?
Rock: HMM? So you're ASKIN' me to move over?
Lunamon: Yes, I would like that very much.
Rock: Okay, just for you, pumpkin.
The rock moves ever so slightly over, not even close to the slab it needs to be on.
Lunamon: Umm…excuse me mister rock?
Rock: Hmm? What is it?
Lunamon: Could you please move just, a little bit more?
Rock: HMM? You want me to move some more?
Rock: Alrighty, how's this?
The rock moves, but upwards instead of toward the slab. This frustrates Lunamon a little bit.
Lunamon: Okay…mister rock?
Rock: Hmm? Now what?
Lunamon: You went the wrong way
Rock: HMM? That was the wrong direction?
Rock: Okay, think I got it.
The rock moves once more, moving onto the slab, making the spikes lower. Lunamon moves forward hoping to continue, only for the spikes to rise again. Looking back, she noticed the rock moved away from the slab.
Lunamon: Umm…excuse me again mister rock
Lunamon: But…I need you to stay there.
Rock: HMM? You wanted me to STAY there?
Rock: You're really giving me a real workout.
The rock moves back onto the slab and the spikes lower, permanently this time. Lunamon continues forward. Up ahead was a table and another one of the stars again. She touched it and a voice could be heard.
"Knowing the mouse might one day leave it's hole and get the cheese…it fills you with determination"
FILE SAVED
This time however, some pain that she originally had magically disappeared. Seems like these stars heal any damage Lunamon has taken over time. Very helpful indeed. She moves over to the cheese on the table, curious about the cheese.
Lunamon: Hmm…I kinda feel bad that the mouse hasn't taken the cheese yet.
Lunamon: Maybe I should bring it to the mouse.
Lunamon tries to remove the cheese from the table, but…it doesn't move an inch. Somehow, she couldn't even lift it up.
Lunamon: Oh…it's stuck to the table…
Before she leaves, she notices a backpack on the ground next to the table, she could use this to carry more things if she finds anything else. She scoops up the bag and puts it around her back.
Inventory Increased!
Moving forward, she runs into a ghost, laying on a patch of leaves.
Ghost: zzzzzzzzz…. zzzzzzzzz….
Ghost: zzzzzzzzz…. (are they gone yet?) zzzzzzzzzzzzz….
This ghost saying Z out loud repeatedly, pretending to sleep. Move it with force?
Lunamon: Well…I mean it would be rude to do so…
Lunamon: But…I guess I have no choice.
Just as she tried to move it, a FIGHT commenced.
"Here comes Napstablook"
Okay, Lunamon didn't expect a fight to break out, merely because the ghost was pretending to sleep. No time to think, she has a fight to deal with.
Napstablook: Ooooooo…
The ghost lets out sad "Ooooo", almost as if they are sad. She feels bad for them, maybe she can cheer them up.
ACT Cheer
"You gave Napstablook a patient smile."
Napstablook: heh…
Tear drop started to fall from above. Using her hand to move her soul, she was mostly able to avoid the tear drops, not all of them though.
Lunamon's HP 20/20 14/20
"Napstabblook looks just a little bit better."
ACT Cheer
"You told Napstablook a little joke"
Lunamon: How do astronauts have a party? They PLANet~
Napstablook: heh heh…
"REALLY NOT FEELIN UP TO IT RIGHT NOW, SORRY."
"Cheering seems to have improved Napstablook's mood again"
ACT Cheer
"Napstablook wants to show you something"
Napstablook: let me try…
The tears floated upward and stared to form an object. Once done, it formed a hat, weird that tears can do that.

The ghost disappears, letting her pass. She moves on to the room to the right and finds spiders. Oddly enough, there was a sweet smell coming from their webs. Next to the webs was a sign.
"Spider Bake Sale. All proceeds go to real spiders."
Spider: Hello lady. Would you like a Spider Donut? It's only 7 G.
Why not? She could use it. She leaves 7 G in the web and some spiders crawled down and gave her a donut. She puts it in her bag and moves on. In the next room were a bunch of Froggits, curious, she decides to talk to them.
Forggit: ribbit, ribbit, (Sigh…)
Forggit: (My friends never listen to me.)
Forggit 2: (There is supposed to be four Froggits in this room)
Froggit 3: (Why does that that even matter?)
Froggit 2: (Someone once said the phrase, F4, which stands for four Froggits)
Froggit 2: (But there are only three Froggits here!)
Froggit 3: (That doesn't make any sense!)
Froggit: (You see what I mean?)
She doesn't know what to say and just leaves, until…
Ring…
Lunamon: Hello?
Toriel: Hello?
Toriel: I just realized that it has been a while since I have cleaned up.
Toriel: I was not expecting to have company so soon.
Toriel: There are probably a lot of things lying about here and there.
Toriel: You can pick them up, but do not carry more than you need.
Toriel: Someday you might see something you really like.
Toriel: You'll want to leave room in your pockets for that.
Click…
She moves onward into the next room, which had flower patches that had holes in them. Spike block the way again, there must be a button or lever here somewhere. She gets on her knees and leaps down the bottom left hole. Only to find nothing but an old ribbon on the floor. Maybe someone dropped this? She picks it up and puts it on. She climbs back only to be ambushed.
"Migosp and Moldsmal crawled up close!"
Lunamon: Huh…this is new…

Napstablook: i fell down a hole…now i can't get back up…
Napstablook: go on without me…
Lunamon: Umm…I'm not sure if you remember this…but…
Napstablook: wait, ghosts can fly, can't they…
Lunamon: Umm…yes
Napstablook: oh well…
That is when he disappears. Again, she gets back to the top and goes down the top middle hole. Once down there, she finds a lever and pulls it.
Rumble…
Sounds like something was lowered. Lunamon goes back up once more to see the spikes have been lowered, allowing her to continue. She moves forward into another puzzle room. There was another slab on the wall.
"The far door is not an exit"
"It simply marks a rotation in perspective"
She didn't really understand what that meant as she was looking around the room, seeing the different colored buttons, red, green, and blue. She though of pushing one of them until she sees the way forward was already open. She was confused but moved on anyway. The next room however, blocked off, so she had to solve the puzzle this time. This time, the slab on the wall said…
"If you can read this, press the blue switch"
Just like the sign said, she went to the pillar infront of the other exit and pressed it, making the spikes lower. Just before she could leave, a monster appeared.
"Loox drew near!"

"If you can read this, press the red switch"
She follows the sign's words and presses the red switch, making the spikes lower, allowing her to move forward again into the next room. This time, the sign said…
"If you can read this sign, press the green switch"
Just like last time, she finds the green switch and presses it, making the spikes lower for the final time. She moves onward and comes to a fork in the road. One to the north and one to the east. She decides to go east. There, she met a Froggit.
Froggit: Ribbit, ribbit, (Just between you and me…)
Froggit: (I saw TORIEL come out of here just a little while ago.)
Froggit: (She was carrying some groceries.)
Froggit: (I didn't ask what they were for…)
Froggit: (We're all too intimidated to talk to her.)
Toriel didn't seem that scary? Why are they so afraid of her? Either way, she moves into the next room to find a big view of the ruins. Looking around in awe, she finds a toy knife on the ground. Once she picks it up…
Lunamon: Guh…!
A sharp pain hits her head hard, making her brain throb. She holds in in irritation, the pain only getting worse. Voices started to speak in her head, speaking strange things. She closes her eyes, hoping it would stop, only for it not to end and only get worse. Her head was thumping hard and loud, the voices turned into screams. Lunamon fell on the floor in agony, gripping her head tight. … … … The pain and voices suddenly stopped, leaving only the sound of nothing to be heard. She slowly opens her eyes to see a strange image of a human covered in light blue mist in front of her. Somehow, the person was…familiar to her, in a strange way…Just then, the human started to speak.
?: Jeez, these monsters might be weak, but gosh are they tough
?: Good thing I have this to defend me
The human female swung the toy knife around, showing it off. Why was Lunamon seeing this? Was this a memory of someone that came here before? But why did touching a toy knife trigger this?
?: Hmm…still, don't know why these guys are trying to hurt me
?: I may be a human -, but I - gi-
?: G- I- s-T-
The voice of the human started to deteriorate, becoming unhearable. Soon enough, the image of the human faded, disappearing into the air. What just happened? Why did she see this? Why did a simple toy knife trigger this? Something must be going on here, but she doesn't have time to ponder that now. She puts the knife away in her bag and makes her way back to the fork in the road and heads north. Once in the room, she sees a big tree in the middle of the room.
Toriel: Oh dear, that took longer than I thought it would.
From around the tree, Lunamon saw Toriel walking around it on her phone. Just before she could react, Toriel noticed her and rushes toward her.
Toriel: How did you get here, my child?! Are you hurt?
Lunamon: Umm, not that much at least.
Toriel: There, there, I will heal you.
Any pain that Luna had was instantly gone.
Toriel: I should not have left you alone for so long.
Toriel: It was irresponsible to try and surprise you like this.
Lunamon: Surprise me?
Toriel's eyes went wide eyed, apparently, she didn't mean to say that out loud.
Toriel: Err…
Toriel: Well, I suppose I cannot hide it any longer.
Toriel: Come, young one.
She follows Toriel as they both walk around the tree to reveal a small house in the back of it. Lunamon also notices another healing star. She touches it and once more, a voice could be heard.
"Seeing such a cute, tidy house in the RUINS gives you determination"
FILE SAVED
After that, she walks inside the house. It was pretty cute for a home inside ruins, very comfy and cozy. She must have done well for herself.
Toriel: Do you smell that?
Lunamon: Huh?
Lunamon sniffs the air, there was a sweet scent of cinnamon and baked goods.
Lunamon: What is that?
Toriel: Surprise!
Toriel: It's a butterscotch-cinnamon pie.
Toriel: I thought we might celebrate your arrival.
Toriel: I want you to have a nice time living here.
Toriel: So I will hold off on snail pie for tonight.
Eww…thank Omimon for that. But did she say, "living here"? Lunamon was thankful for Toriel taking her in, but she couldn't live here forever. She had her own world to return to, but maybe it was best not to bring it up in front of Toriel. So, she'll play dumb for now.
Toriel: Here, I have another surprise for you.
She leads Lunamon to the hallway on the right.
Toriel: This is it
She leads her by hand toward a door.
Toriel: A room of your own. I hope you like it!
She rubs the top of her head, making Lunamon smile and blush slightly. Toriel then sniffed the air.
Toriel: Wait, is something burning?
Toriel: Umm, m-make yourself at home!
Toriel rushes off leaving Lunamon by herself. Curious, she entered her room. It was red-pinkish, and was children sized. There was a bed, a closet full of clothes that are WAY out of her size, a box full of toys that don't interest her at all, a box full of shoes in a disparity of sizes, and an empty photo frame that was really dusty.
Lunamon: *yawn*…
Lunamon lets out a yawn, it has been quite some time since she had any rest, so she was getting tired. So, for now, she decides to take a nap. She gets on the bed and drifts off to sleep. A few hours later, she wakes up, fully refreshed. Looking over, she notices a piece of pie on the floor. Toriel must have left it for her, how sweet~. She picks it up and puts it away in her bag.
Author's Note: The game just says you got the pie, I'm not even sure how they carry it with them.
She leaves her room to explore the house a little more. She heads to the next room beside her's. It was very blue and had a queen-sized bed.
Lunamon: This must be Toriel's room.
Looking around, she found an open book on her table. She decides to read it.
"Why did the skeleton want a friend? Because she was feelin' BONEly"
Lunamon: …
This was a joke book, wasn't it? The rest of the page is filled with jokes of a similar caliber. To avoid further cringe, she closes the book. Instead, she looks at a book on her bookshelf. It's an encyclopedia of subterranean plants. She opens into the middle page.
"Typha" – A group of wetland flowering plants with brown, oblong seedpods.
"Known more commonly as "water sausages."
Lunamon: Interesting…
She closes the book and puts it back on the shelf, then she leaves the room. Going farther down the hallway, she sees another door. This one was locked and had a sign that said, "Room under renovations". Guess she couldn't go in. She moves over to the mirror at the end of the hall, now she could fully see her new body. She was about 4 ft 9 inches tall, had mostly white and lilac strands at the ends, a white shirt with a pink skirt, and yellow shoes. She also had rose colored eyes and a moon crescent pin in her hair.
Lunamon: Hmm…I look great.
Lunamon: I wonder how Shoutmon would feel if I showed up back home like this…?
The though of this made her blush, she shook that though from her. Turns out our little heroine has a crush on the king as well but hasn't had the courage to tell him. Maybe after she gets back, she'll finally tell him, for now though, she was trapped here. She decides to head to the left of the house. There she finds Toriel reading a book, also in the room was a fireplace, a bookshelf, and a family table. She decides to read one of the books on the shelf.
"Trapped behind the barrier and fearful of further human attacks, we retreated."
"Far, far into the earth we walked, until we reached the cavern's end."
"This was our new home, which we named…Home."
"As great as our king is, he is pretty lousy at names."
King huh? There is apparently a king of the monsters that live here. Makes sense, I guess. From the looks of it, the humans and monsters were at war with one another, but why? Guess she'll learn more later down the line. She puts the book back and approaches Toriel.
Toriel: Up already, I see?
Lunamon: Yes, thank you very much for letting me stay here.
Toriel: You are very welcome, my child.
Toriel: Um, I want you to know how glad I am to have someone here.
Toriel: There are so many old books I want to share.
Toriel: I want to show you my favorite bug-hunting spot.
Toriel: I've also prepared a curriculum for your education.
Wow okay, this is getting a little out of hand. She's getting a little ahead of herself.
Toriel: This may come as a surprise to you…
Toriel: But I have always wanted to be a teacher.
Toriel: …actually, perhaps that isn't very surprising.
Toriel: STILL.
Toriel: I am glad to have you living here.
…Okay, now this is getting a little too much for Lunamon to handle. Think it's about time for her to ask.
Lunamon: Umm…Toriel…?
Toriel: Yes?
Lunamon: I really, really appreciate all that you have done for me, but…
Lunamon: When can I got home?
Toriel looks at her in shock but washes it away quickly.
Toriel: What…? This… is your home now.
Lunamon: Look, I know you are probably worried ab-
Before she could even finish, Toriel interrupts her.
Toriel: Um…would you like to hear about this book I am reading?
Toriel: It is called "72 Uses for Snails."
Toriel: How about it?
Lunamon: But I need to find a way home.
Toriel just continues to speak, ignoring Lunamon.
Toriel: …Here is an exciting snail fact.
Toriel: Did you know snails…
Toriel: Sometimes flip their digestive systems as they mature?
Toriel: Interesting.
This was getting a little annoying. She wasn't even listening to her. This was the first time Lunamon ever got really upset at someone.
Lunamon: Toriel! Stop dodging the question.
Lunamon: Please just tell me how to go home…
Silence fills the room for a few moments before Toriel sighs and gets up from her chair.
Toriel: I have to do something…Stay here…
She wonders off to another part of the house. Confused by this, Lunamon follows her only to see she disappeared. That's when she noticed the stairs in the middle of the house. She wonders if Toriel went down there so she goes down them. Once at the bottom, she noticed Toriel there.
Lunamon: Toriel? What are you doing down here?
Toriel: You wish to know how to return "home," do you not?
Toriel: Ahead of us lies the end of the RUINS.
Toriel: A one-way exit to the rest of the underground.
So, she knew the way out of the RUINS this whole time, but why would she want to hide it?
Toriel: I am going to destroy it.
Toriel: No one will ever be able to leave again.
Toriel was going to destroy the exit?! But then how will Lunamon get home?! She can't let that happen!
Toriel: Now be a good child and go upstairs.
Toriel moves onward, only for Lunamon to follow her.
Lunamon: Wait Toriel! You can't destroy the exit!
Lunamon: I must go home! You can't do this!
Toriel: Every human that falls down here meets the same fate.
Toriel: I have seen it again and again.
Toriel: They come…they leave…they die.
Toriel: You naïve child…if you leave the RUINS…
Toriel: They…ASGORE…will kill you.
Toriel: I am only protecting you; do you understand?
Toriel: …go to your room.
She moves forward, hoping Lunamon would listen. But she refuses to listen and chases her.
Lunamon: I know you want to protect me…
Lunamon: But I don't belong here!
Toriel: Do not try and stop me…
Toriel: This is your FINAL…warning…
She makes it towards the door, also known as the exit to the RUINS. She summons fire from her hands, ready to destroy the door for good, only for Lunamon to stop her.
Lunamon: STOP!
Lunamon: Please don't do this! I must leave!
Lunamon: Even if you are thinking about me…You can't just trap me here!
Lunamon: This is my only way back!
Lunamon: Please…let me go home…
Toriel goes quiet for a while, then sighs deeply and turns to her with a stern look on her face.
Toriel: You want to leave so badly…?
Toriel: Hmph…
Toriel: You are just like the others…
Toriel: There is only one solution to this…
Lunamon: What is that?
Toriel: Prove yourself…
A ring of fire surrounds them both.
Toriel: Prove to me that you are strong enough to survive!
With that…the battle begins.
"Toriel blocks the way"
Was she serious?! She was going to have to fight Toriel to go home?! This can't be happening! However, she has no choice. If she wishes to leave, she must fight.

Toriel – ATK 80 DEF 80

When the SOUL appeared, for some reason, it moved toward Lunamon and into her body. Why did it do that? Did she have to actually dodge the attacks for real now? Why now of all times for it to do that?! Having no time to think, since fire ball were shot at her. She tried to move…but for some reason…she couldn't, getting her hurt.
Lunamon's HP 20/20 10/20
Lunamon: W…Why didn't I move?

There was a voice speaking to her, telling her not to move? Why would it say that? If she did that, it would only hurt her more…but…somehow…she obeyed and stood still. But then now what can she do? She didn't want to hurt Toriel, but she couldn't lose to her either. …There was only one option she could do that could work.

Though she noticed once she spared Toriel for the fourth time, she looked a little confused. Maybe if she show mercy enough times, maybe she can change her mind.

Toriel: What are you doing?
She attacks again, hurting Lunamon to the last of her health.

She attacks again…only…for some reason…the attack completely avoids her.
Lunamon: What the…?
Did she…miss on purpose? She doesn't want to do this either but feels like she should. There must be a way to make her stop this and let Lunamon go.
MERCY Spare
Toriel: What are you proving this way?
Just like last time, the attack completely misses, Lunamon was right, Toriel is missing…on purpose. She's afraid of killing her. She hopes that Lunamon will give up, but she won't.
MERCY Spare
Toriel: Fight me or leave!
Again…the attack misses her. Toriel's will must be breaking, just a little more will do it.

Lunamon: Toriel…I can't…

Lunamon: Please…just stop…
Lunamon: I know you are worried about me and all…
Lunamon: But I have to go home…
Toriel: Why are you making this so difficult…?
Lunamon: You are the one making this difficult…
Lunamon: If you really care for me…you'll let me leave…
Toriel: Please…go upstairs…
Lunamon: …Toriel…
Toriel: …
Toriel: Ha ha…
Toriel: Pathetic, is it not…? I cannot save even a single child…
Lunamon: I know you mean well…but this isn't right…
Lunamon: Keeping me here…away from the rest of the world…refusing to let me go back to where I belong…
Lunamon: Isn't fair to me…
Toriel: ...
Lunamon: Toriel…
Toriel: No…I understand…
Toriel: You would just be unhappy trapped down here…
Toriel: The RUINS are very small once you get used to them…
Toriel: It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this…
Toriel: My expectations…my loneliness…my fear…
Toriel: For you my child, I will put them aside…
BATTLE END
She did it…she managed to convince Toriel to let her leave.
Toriel: If you truly wish to leave the RUINS…
Toriel: I will not stop you.
Lunamon: Thank you for understanding.
Toriel: However, when you leave…
Toriel: Please do not come back.
Toriel: I hope you understand.
Lunamon: I see, understood.
Toriel then wraps her arms around Lunamon and gives her a hug, caught off a little off guard, but she smiles and returns it. After a while, they part from the hug.
Toriel: Goodbye…my child…
Toriel parts ways with Lunamon…but not before taking one more glance at her before leaving for good.
Lunamon: Goodbye Toriel…
With that…she opens the door…and leaves the ruins for good. While walking through the long hallway, she eats the Spider Donut to recover some health.
Lunamon recovered 10 HP.
The minute she entered the next room, she sees a face she never though she would she again.
Flowey: Clever…verrrrrryyyy clever…
Lunamon: You…
Flowey: You think you're really smart, don't you?
Flowey: In this world, it's kill or be killed.
Flowey: So, you were able to play by your own rules.
Flowey: You spared the life of a single person.
Lunamon: I did, so what?
Lunamon: I don't care what you say, I will never kill anyone!
Flowey: Hee hee hee…
Lunamon: What's so funny?
Flowey: I bet you feel really great.
Flowey: You didn't kill anybody this time.
Flowey: But what will you do if you meet a relentless killer?
Flowey: You'll die, and you'll die, and you'll die.
Flowey: Until you tire of trying.
Lunamon: I…
No, she can't let this flower get to her. She had to hold strong.
Flowey: What will you do then?
Flowey: Will you kill out of frustration?
Flowey: Or will you give up entirely on this world…
Flowey: …and let ME inherit the power to control it?
Lunamon: What are you even talking about?
Flowey: I am the prince of this world's future.
Flowey: Don't worry, my little monarch, my plan isn't regicide.
Flowey: This is SO much more interesting…
Flowey: Especially since you have Digimon data inside you…
Lunamon: …!
What the?! How did he- does he know about she really is? How is that even possible?!
Flowey: In case you were wondering…
Flowey: You weren't the first one to fall down here…
What…?! There were…other Digimon that fell down here to? Could this mean…that THEY came here to?
Flowey: Farewell for now…hehehehe…
Flowey disappears, leaving her in a confused state. He said that she wasn't the first one to fall into the underground. She then started to think about the Digimon that went missing back home, could they have fallen down here as well? If so, maybe she could find them and bring them back with her. As she takes her first step out the ruins…her journey home…truly begins…
