The Gods or what was left of them felt an entity trespass unto their domain the likes of which never happen not even the chief God summoning heroes from other worlds had so much concentrated energy in one place

And it scared them

This could be a sign that another God had entered the fray

Or that an extremely powerful being had been summoned to which it could tip the balance of power unto the humans favor or the mamono's

As such the mamono goddess Lilith sent a spy in the form of a crow to assess the site of the energy

And in her naive mind, she'd convert the being into a mamono or at least help their cause

Thought what she didn't know was that The Black Flame bows to no one but the children of The Gloam Eyed Queen and she was going to know soon enough how dangerous it could be to make an enemy of The Black Flame

The bird which was actually a doppelganger flew to the site and as she went closer the smell of burnt flesh and ash tinged the air

As she flew closer the most horrific scene was taking place

A female human by the looks of it stood with a twin blade covered in blood and holding what seemed to be flesh and skin

The human then saw a goblin trying to crawl away though she quickly put an end to it by hurling a black fireball at the goblin's hands

"AAAGH!!" tears fell from the goblin but she didn't pay them any heed and stabbed her twin blade with the sickle side and with horrifying ease skinned the poor goblin all while still alive and screaming in pain that was quickly ended with a fireball to the face

The doppelganger almost lost her disguise wanting to go help her fellow mamono but remembered her orders and landed on one of the bodies to keep up appearances

But you see in this new world The Black Flame doesn't stop until the whole object is ashes or the caster wills it to stop

So when a part of The Black Flame touched one of her feathers intense pain naturally followed

"CAWWAAAGHH!" losing her disguise mid way she tried to put out the fire with her hands which was admittedly a stupid idea but there was no body of water nearby so her mind went to the next best thing

Unfortunately, instead of putting out the fire it instead spread up to her shoulders to which then they stopped moving

"Well well well" the sounds of the human came through

"I never knew a creature like you existed in The Lands Between" the mamono didn't respond too busy crying out in pain

" it is unfortunate that I can't harvest your supple skin though I hope I will meet more of your kind soon" as she said that a black fireball started forming in her hand

"Let the name of your killer etch into your mind" holding out her hand The mamono only heard one thing

"Silica"

After burning the bodies Silica left the forest and spotted a caravan on the road though it was different than the ones used in The Lands Between

The First discrepancy was instead of giants it was horses pulling the carts and second, the carts were wood and cloth instead of dark steel she was accustomed to

'No matter if they're still sane then maybe I can conceive them for me to join them and figure out where I am" as she gets closer three guards rush out though they abruptly stop

"Sigh" a one with a beard spoke" we've mistaken you for a mamono" he then turns to one of the men" good job scouting Derrick" the one presumed to be Derrick responds

"It's not my fault that I couldn't see them clearly," the bearded one says" then why were you scouting in the first pla-" Silica interrupts their quarrel" listen I have not time for your arguing now I'm I want to request that I accompany you with your caravan" the guards all group up occasionally taking sneak peeks at her then they agree they lead her into one of the carriages

She then asks one of the drivers" where are we headed?"

He responds

" The Theocracy Of Lescatie"

As the carriages drive through the lands to Lescatie Silica notices something she should've a while ago
