The burrow

1996

The green smoke cleared and the people gathered in the living room, who still had their wands raised, out of war paranoia saw a couple standing in front of them also having their wands trained in front of them.

As the smoke receded , everyone saw that the couple was actually the future Harry and Ginny or more accurately, James, Al and Lily's parents. They all lowered their wands.

Harry picked himself up from the ground where they had landed and helped his wife quickly stand up as well.He trained his wand in front of him incase they landed in front of a death eater and motioned his wife to do the same.

Ginny understanding his signal also trained her wand in front of her and looked around the room they had landed. She realised that they were at burrow and looking by the decoration ,it had to be Christmas holidays. Her breath caught in her throat when she saw Fred ,Remus and tonks across the room looking at them curiously. Even more than two decades later just thinking about them hurt but now seeing them in flesh in front of her, she didn't know how she was going to get over it.

"Mummy!Daddy!" Lily screamed and rushed forward to hug her mum and dad. She collided with them and both of them grunted with the impact but hugged her tightly nonetheless.

James and Al stood there looking at their parents but not meeting their eyes knowing they were in for a tirade of scolding for snooping in their office.

Harry and Ginny looked at them and opened their hands, calling them in for a hug as well. Scolding can wait thought Ginny. The boys quickly rushed into their arms. Harry and Ginny held their kids tight before loosening their grip and held them at a distance with a stern gaze that told them they better start explaining themselves or else...

"Mum..Dad, we can explain.." said James.

"You better have an explanation mister" said Ginny.

As James started to explain the circumstances resulting in them landing themselves in 1996 the rest of the order and Weasleys finally took in the appearance of the new future arrivals.

The Harry and Ginny they were seeing in front of them were wildly different from the ones among them. Harry was a good two inches taller, standing tall, confident and also quite intimidating at 6'2. His hair was trimmed slightly short but the top mop was still just as messy. His glasses were new with a thin gold frame around them. And Ginny noticed that he has filled up as well, his shoulders were broad and his strong arms were ripped, his polo shirt sleeves straining against them. He was really handsome.

Ginny, on the other hand, they had to do a double-check to see whether they were actually seeing Ginny to believe. Ginny too was a couple of inches taller. Her hair was shorter, now reaching just below her shoulder rather than her waist. She had filled out more at certain places and she was very fit. One could hardly tell that she was the mother of three kids.
