Hello everyone, its been a long time since I've updated this story, and even though I've made progress I wont be able to promise future chapters any time soon because the most important exams are literally a week away and then another next month and then another in august as well, so I'm packed.

Future Hinny:- italics

Everyone had settled down after the arrival of Harry and Ginny. Now they sat in the living room to discuss their further arrangements, but so far had only succeeded in staring at one another. The potter couple were trying to compose themselves after seeing their dead loved ones after more than a decade. Ginny especially was finding it extremely difficult to not just throw her arms around Fred, Remus, and Tonks. Harry held his wife's hand, to give as well as draw comfort from her.

For everyone else in the room it was much different than seeing three strangers literally drop in the living room. These were the two people they knew very well or their younger version to be exact, but seeing their older and frankly much intimidating version of them was unnerving.

"So..Harry..Ginny how did you two get here?" Arthur asked trying to break the ice.

"Well considering how the house suddenly went quiet, during the holidays no less, we became suspicious and searched the entire house fearing someone had kidnapped them or something." Harry said.

"Then we found Harry's office in shambles and a broken time turner and figured out that our little munchkins have gotten themselves in trouble. AGAIN." Ginny said with a pointed look and a stern glare towards her kids.

The kids smartly kept their mouth shut, knowing that incurring their mum's wrath on Christmas day any more than they already have will not do them any good.

"Enough about the boring talk," said Fred

"let's talk about fun stuff" finished George.

"Yeah, ickle Harrykins here tells us that he fancies gin-gin, and here we found out that they are married and even produced spawns."

"Yeah, three times too"

Harry and Ginny blushed, while the older potters, having being married for two decades were barely fazed by it, they were no longer the blushing teenagers but a couple who've raised three kids, well technically four if you count teddy, and they did, together. Infact, they teased the twins right back.

"Yeah well, we had planned on having kids but as you can see, they were a little impatient and all of them came before we could plan them" quipped Ginny.

"Yes, but how did this happen, we didn't even know Harry liked Ginny before today. How did you two get together?" this time even Ron couldn't stop himself from asking.

"Well, you probably already know that I had a crush on her this year" grinned Harry.

"I had to miss the quidditch final like every year for some reasons, so I had Ginny substitute me as the seeker and Dean as the chaser "both Harry's made a face at that.

"Yeah, so after the detention, I was nervous to go into the common room to see whether we have won the cup or not, because I thought everybody would blame me for getting into detention but when I entered the room, I saw the celebration going on and Ginny running towards me, I know she was only trying to hug me but I kissed her instead" Harry finished with a satisfied smile. He always felt a bit giddy whenever he thought about his and his wife's first kiss. Those were some of the best days of his life before shit hit the fan a few weeks later.

"In front of everyone?" Ginny asked with a gob smacked expression.

"Yes" Ginny said with a smirk and a knowing look towards her younger self.

"What happened to Voldemort?" it was Bill who finally got the courage to ask the most difficult question and the one everyone had wanted to ask from the beginning. The question quickly changed the mood from fun to somber. Everyone got quiet, looking intently at Harry who had suddenly gone uncomfortable at the question, waiting to hear the answer.

Harry tightened his hand around his wife, bringing her impossibly close to take comfort from her before he addressed the elephant in the room.

Taking a deep breath, he said "Voldemort was defeated on 2nd of may 1998 in the battle of Hogwarts"

Everybody felt a relief like they've never felt before, the bastard that has terrorized their world for the better part of the two decades was to be dead in about two years, nothing could have made their Christmas better until Remus noticed the potters looking upset, he could swear he saw tears in Ginny's eyes.

"Who died?" Remus asked.

Everybody immediately stopped their celebration and looked at Remus, shocked.

"What are you saying Remus, of course no one.." Molly started but Remus interrupted her.

"We are in a war molly and war take lives, last time it was James, lily and your brothers. This time we have already lost Sirius. We can't expect everyone to survive this war too".

"There are four people in this room who did not make it" Harry finally said, looking down, not being able to look anyone in the eye any longer.

Molly gasped, her hand flew to her mouth and tears were brimming in her eyes, threating to fall down. Ginny reached out her hand to Harry, forgetting all her shyness and he too held her hand tighter in his.

"wh..who?" Arthur asked with a shaky voice. He couldn't imagine losing any of his family members.

Harry looked at Dumbledore, knowing what he has already planned and that he would understand his implications. Unfortunately, so did everyone else.

Albus Dumbledore was the most powerful wizard in the world, the only one that Voldemort was afraid of. If Dumbledore left them then there would be no one else to guide the order.

"Dumbledore died on 30th June 1997" Harry said.

"So soon?" asked Bill with wide unbelieving eyes, not that he didn't trust Harry but was having hard time digesting the death of his former headmaster.

Harry gave a watery chuckle at that," ask the headmaster if you will, Bill, the old man had actually planned his own damned death".

Everybody looked at Dumbledore in shock. They couldn't believe how in his right mind he could do that. Albus looked at them with sad, "I'm hundred and fifteen dear, you can't expect me to live forever. You will realize in the future how my death was crucial to win the war and thwart Voldemort's plans".

"Somehow I've always thought you to be invincible" Harry spoke for the first time, eyes quite but still holding Ginny's hand in his tightly.

"Now you know that's not the case dear" Dumbledore said with a sad smile.

"Now, I must go back to Hogwarts otherwise suspicions can arise and we don't want to alert anyone of your arrival. If you don't mind Harry, can I see the time turner? I have friends in the unspeakable department of the ministry and they would be most gracious to look over it for me. Guessing by the fact that you two were able to travel as well, it is only a matter of the sand running out which the unspeakable can refill it for you as well as repair some minor defects" Dumbledore asked while getting up to leave.

Harry got up and carefully removed the time turner tucked in his pocket along with the handkerchief it was wrapped in. he carefully placed the time turner in Dumbledore's hand and bid farewell to him.

He returned to the living room to see everyone in pretty much the same position. He went and sat beside his wife knowing it was time to face the most difficult time of the evening.

"Cut the slack Harry and tell us who the other three are" said Bill, he knew he was not going to like whatever the answer was and held Fleur's hand tightly.

Ginny couldn't control herself any longer and gave a choked sob, burrowing her face in Harry's chest and holding onto him tightly. The kids too, sensing their parents need, surrounded them in support.

Harry closed his eyes and took deep breaths to compose himself before saying,

"Fred, Remus and Tonks".
