A crossover in which the events of Ben 10 and Re:Zero connect, with Kenichi joining Subaru that night he went to the convenience store. While walking back, something happens, but it isn't related to the Witch. Instead, a pod appears out of now where, containing a watch that turns him into a monster and then blasts him across the universe to the garden of a green-haired duchess.

5. Author's Note

General

Alright, well, I've never done an Author's Note like this before, and I normally hate it when I get teased with a new chapter only to discover that it's an A.N., but I feel I should explain some things. I'll be posting this part to all 4 of my current stories, so if you've read the general on one of them than you can skip to the specifics here.

First of all, I'm sure you've all noticed how I've not posted in like 5 months. I don't want to delve too deep into my personal life but I also don't want to come off as uncaring toward my audience. So, to give a brief explanation: Starting in April, a month before high school ended, I started getting depressed, which only worsened as the year ended and I was trying to figure out my college plans. I was out of it pretty much the whole summer (in the sense that I was extremely apathetic towards most things), and I only started snapping out of it a few weeks ago. I also started college last month, and now that I'm back in school, I'm getting back into the mindset of working on my computer.

With this newfound motivation, I'm ready to get back into the fanfiction game. And I noticed that a big issue before was the fact that I had too many stories that I either didn't have enough ideas for or didn't feel I could do justice to, so I deleted a bunch of them that I couldn't finish. There are, at current, 3 stories that I want to work on before trying new ones (a mix of Re: Zero and MHA). You'll find my plans for them down below. I'm going to try and get into the habit of writing a little every week so that I can pump out content with shorter intervals, but I make no promises on when new chapters will be added.

Future of This Story

"For the story of Re: Starting Life in Another World From One Zero, I'm going to go back and rework the story a bit. The general plot will remain the same as it is so far (with the exception of some aliens getting swapped out), but instead of giving Subaru a fusion of the original and reboot Omnitrixes and having it later upgrade into the Alien Force version, I'm just going to rewrite it as the AF version from the get-go. This way it makes sense as to why he can change forms and why he got teleported in the first place, since the OG Omnitrix couldn't do those things whereas the recalibrated version could. For a timeframe, the story itself begins during the gap between Arcs 2 and 3 (though Elsa never killed Emilia and Felt. Instead, Felt was found in a similar manner to Pride If by Reinhard after getting caught and jailed) and will have the first arc end with a fight with Gluttony...both beast and man. Anything after that is spoilers, but I do intend to have Subaru meet Echidna somehow, so he'll most likely end up going to Sanctuary one way or another. For now, though, I'm going to focus on the rewrite.
