After the events in the previous chapter, nothing unusual happened… well, other than Momoka's presence and the fact that a Norma, with Ange being said Norma, buying a maid. As per the deal she made with Kaito, Momoka cooked for everyone in the cafeteria. Frankly speaking, she didn't mind it, it was easy for a maid of her calibre.
After that, the girls in Arzenal devoured all the food like there was no tomorrow. No one could blame them. Momoka had gone all out and cooked the best food she could with the limited ingredients she had, which frankly speaking wasn't that limited. If one saw them, they would have mistaken it for their last meal, but everyone on Arzenal knew they would always return.
Now, squad one had finished their usual routine of fighting DRAGONs and so on. Hilda, Rosalie and Chris still bitched about Ange stealing their kills and whatnot, while the former princess either ignored them or flipped them the middle finger.
Kaito knew this will not go on anymore a rogue element in a group means trouble and he needed to solve it.
As the four of them bickered, Kaito caught Salia's attention as he grabbed her shoulder. The bluenette stared at him, "What is it?"
Kaito looked at the four, "You should better do something. If this keeps up, something bad will happen."
The former Overlord then walked off after saying his peace. Honestly he didn't want to get himself involved. Worst case scenario all four girls would gang up on him, and even he knew, hell hath no fury over women scorn. Especially when all four of them were basically lionesses in humans' clothing.
As the man walked away, Salia sighed. She had told Jill about it, and the commander said if nothing big happened, then it would be fine. Besides, in her defence, none of them would even listen to her. The girl shook her head and walked to her room.
As she sat on her desk, she began writing her report. "Captain's log. March 3rd. DRAGONs appeared, Squad 1 was given orders to engage. Once again, Ange ignored my orders and acted on her own. She must maintain discipline and follow orders, otherwise she will be forced off the Vilkiss.
As for Kaito, he followed orders accordingly, but would go solo, which is still manageable as he protects and helps others. If this goes on, he might be a suitable candidate for a captain.
No additional notes. Casualties zero."
Later, at midnight, in the commander's office, Jasmine, Jill, Salia, Mei and several others were discussing about the future of Arzenal and the Norma. Jasmine spoke, "That brat is still alive. This is what he sent us."
The merchant gave Jill a letter who smirked, "So it seems. Tusk has been hiding for quite a while, its about time he got back to work."
Salia blinked and stared at the letter, "Tusk?"
Jill nodded, "Yeah."
The girl sighed, "So, was it him that saved Kaito and Ange?"
The commander nodded as the bluenette fell silent. Salia certainly remembered the shy brown haired boy, he was after all, the only young boy she knew, the only male, apart from his father and now Kaito, that came to Arzenal.
Salia sighed, "So he was the one who saved Ange and Kaito?"
Jill shrugged, "Ange maybe, but Kaito, that bastard might have met him some point, I just can't see Kaito being saved."
The women all chuckled at that thought. In their point of view, Kaito was ridiculously strong. The thought of him needed to be saved never crossed their minds. Mei spoke, "So, Tusk fixed the Vilkiss?"
Jill shrugged once again, "Who knows? I know Kaito knows some stuff about mechanics."
A thought then came to Salia, "Wait, if what Tusk's letter said is correct, then Ange stayed on an island with two men?" Salia imagining something so incredulous.
The elder women all stayed silent, but were laughing inwardly at Salia's faces. Jill lit up a cigarette, "That aside, Jasmine. You'll be in charge of getting in contact with that brat. If he's active now, we might need his help some time."
The merchant nodded, "'Understood."
Jill then looked at the blue haired twin tailed not-so-secret cosplayer, "So, our second problem, you want to remove Ange from the Vilkiss?"
Salia nodded, "Yeah, she's too arrogant. Ange thinks because she can use the Vilkiss, she can do whatever she wants. If this continues, the squad will be at risk. Before that happens-"
Jill cut her off by raising her palm, silencing the girl, "Before that happens, you, as the captain of the squad, must do something about it. Kaito has told me about this, frankly I believed you would solve it, but if you think this can be solved by taking Ange off the Vilkiss, you're wrong."
The commander glanced at the other women in the room. They caught the hint and left the office silently, leaving the two surrogate sisters alone.
Jill looked at the girl, "Why do you think they fight?"
Salia blinked, "Eh?"
The commander smirked, "Ange and Kaito. These two are strong, even if I take away the Vilkiss or the Overlord, and give them Glaives with the shittiest specs, they can still fight like nothing happened. Their skills are on a different level, compared to all of us here."
Jill paused a bit before she continued, "Salia, Ange and Kaito, they are different. They are warriors from birth. Its true, the two of us, have more training compared to them. From our perspective, its like they were just thrown into all of this. That's true, but in their blood, is the soul of a warrior, their growth rate as fighters are much, much higher than we are. Hilda, Chris and Rosalie all know that, even if its just subconsciously, but they recognize their strength, and that's why they compete."
Salia was speechless. Jill stared at her in the eye, "Salia, I chose you to be the captain of that squad, of the best squad of Arzenal, for a reason. You're not Zola, you're not me, but I know you can deal with it."
Salia was surprised, the tone Jill used, was the tone she would use when they were young, it was the tone of her kind sister. The captain of the first squad nodded, "Fine, I'll deal with it."
Jill nodded, satisfied as the girl left the office.
Later, at the cafeteria, Emma was with Momoka, Kaito and Ange. The officer was livid. She hated how Momoka, a human, was a maid for Ange, a Norma, even if it was the only way to keep her alive and let her stay. The worse thing was that Momoka had to prepare meals for all the Norma on the island. Regardless of Momoka's words, Emma just couldn't see Ange and Kaito as normal humans.
Ange didn't give a fuck as to what Emma thought, and Kaito just flat out ignored the officer's rants. The two ace pilots of the island just continued eating. But there was one weird thing, which many of the girls on the island noticed. Ange was sitting directly in front of Kaito.
Just a week ago, they wouldn't stay in a ten meter radius near each other. But now, everywhere and everytime they saw Kaito or Ange, they would never be too far from each other. Many rumours flew around the island, but the two of them and Momoka didn't care.
Meanwhile, in Jasmine's mall, Salia grumbled to herself after finally getting away from Hilda and her two lackeys remembering her words that the redhead should be captain. The girl went to Jasmine's counter and spoke, "Jasmine-san, is my order here?"
The old merchant smirked, "Ah of course, go to the warehouse, its in the usual room."
The girl nodded her thanks and went to the warehouse, barely containing her excitement as she reached the room, where a set of magical shoujo clothes laid on the table. The girl quickly changed and started to pose.
"Squeeze with the power of love! Making you fall in love. Bishoujo Holy Knight Pretty Salian! Charging next to you". the blunette captain doing poses happily like a magical girl. The problem she was too old for that shit.
" Captain Log march 5th Addendum : Underwent psychological maintenance to manage stress" Salia smirk looking at herself. Those in Arzenal had many thing to help reduce stress example like shooting, fighting, hobby, fetish and sexual intercourse. When in Arzenal those who live here are more worried what their last meal will be, the time they able to enjoy and surviving until they reach 18.
In matters those live in Arzenal even train like soldiers they don't have the devote or words like" we fight for our country motto". They more like children whom are raise and told to fight and survive. As such discipline issue is no problem for them unless during combat ready.
For Salia wearing and doing magical poses is the one thing that help with her stress, everyone has different kinks.
As she happily posed, Salia didn't notice or hear the sound of the warehouse door opening. Then her face paled as she came face to face with someone, or rather two people she didn't want to see.
A few moments earlier, Ange and Momoka were browsing through Jasmine's mall. The blonde wanted to get some clothes for her maid, but seeing as Momoka didn't bring any clothes, she had been wearing Ange's non-uniform clothes.
As they came to Jasmine's counter, the merchant asked with a smirk, "So, what do you want?"
Ange replied, "I need clothes for Momoka, she still hasn't got anything to wear apart from my own clothes."
Jasmine nodded, "I see. Unfortunately, I'm out of stock here. Maybe you can check the warehouse. If I remember correctly, we have some new arrivals on clothes. After you get what you want, just show me those clothes."
Ange nodded as the two headed for the warehouse. But as soon as Ange and Momoka left, Jasmine realized her blunder, "Oh wait, Salia is still there. Ah whatever, if they don't enter the last room or she doesn't come out, it'll be fine."
Jasmine had to jinx it. As soon as Ange and Momoka entered the warehouse, they heard a shuffling noise and headed towards the room. They peeked inside and were surprised to see Salia cosplaying as a Mahou Shoujo. It was a sight to behold.
The former princess wordlessly pulled Momoka away. But Momoka accidentally bumped into one of the metal containers and alerted Salia of their presence. The girl paled but was too late to do anything as Ange and Momoka left to get the clothes and pretend they didn't see anything. The bluenette was scared, she had hoped that her secret would stay a secret, but it seemed fate wouldn't have it.
Salia at the same time fear what Ange saw her wearing and doing " If everyone found about this I'll be a laughing-stock on the island. They might never respect me". A vision of Hilda and her cronies laughing at her.
"I got no choice"The girl placed her wand down and she made her choice.
Later that night, in the onsen, with the steam blurring everything, someone was already there washing it's Hair with soap thoroughly, since the south climate would make the hair humid. Unknown to that person someone was walking thoroughly quietly while holding a knife.
Salia slowly and stealthily crept into the room, holding a dagger. She slowly moved to behind a figure, whom she assumed was Ange, and swung the dagger downwards.
But what happened next was totally out of Salia's expectations. A hand suddenly shot out and grabbed her wrist and judo flipped her into the water. The girl's vision cleared and on top of her was one Kumon Kaito.
The man spoke, "Oh, it's you. What were you doing?" Kaito did it out of instinct.
The girl blushed tomato red as she saw his toned body, but out of curiosity her eyes look down and she was relief that Kaito was wearing a towel. The last thing she needed something to scar her for life.
Kaito asked again, "So, what are you doing? I mean, I haven't exactly done anything to warrant this, did I?"
Salia yelled, obviously embarrassed, "W-what are you doing here?!"
Kaito cracked his neck, "Har? It's my turn ya know."
Salia blinked and thought for a bit before she realized it was true. Since Kaito was the only male on the island, Jill didn't want to waste too much resources to build a whole new onsen just for him alone. So they decided to improvise and have Kaito and the girls take turns. Of course, Kaito would only have one hour to clean up and enjoy the hotsprings. The commander also made it clear to everyone that unless any of the girls invited him, Kaito could only enter during his scheduled time, which was also almost ending.
Right at that exact moment, the door slid open to reveal Ange and Momoka, both as naked as the day they were born, both holding a towel in their hands chanting happily. The two girls blinked several times after seeing Kaito and Salia, before Ange spoke angrily as Momoka scream quickly covered herself, "Kaito, what are you doing here?"
Unfortunately, before the man could reply, Salia got up from the water, grabbing her knife as she charged the blonde, pushing Kaito into the water again. The blonde quickly grabbed whatever she could find to block the knife, a washing bin.
Ange asked as she pushed against the girl's knife, "What are you doing?!"
Salia yelled, "You saw me! I can't let you ruin my life!"
Ange yelled back, "Saw what?!"
The bluenette replied angrily, "In the warehouse! You saw me in that! I won't let you tell anyone!"
Ange gritted her teeth as she kicked Salia into the water, coincidentally falling onto Kaito, "I told no one! Besides, why would that matter to me?!"
Salia got up, pushing Kaito's head into the water and stepping on his stomach as she did, "You haven't told anyone YET!"
The captain swung her knife at the former princess, who grabbed a stool to parry the knife, knocking it out of her hands, "I don't give a fuck about your cosplaying!"
Just as Kaito managed to get up, the knife flew past his face, stabbing the walls. The man was really annoyed now. He started to say, "Hey-"
He was cut off as Salia yelled, "We're a team! Why can't you stop causing so much trouble?!"
The blonde yelled back as they started to wrestle, "Coming from someone who keeps shooting at me from behind! A team my ass!"
Salia yelled as she flung Ange towards the pool, crashing into Kaito. As the man tried to get up, he felt something soft in his hands as Ange moaned slightly. But before Ange realized what had happened, Salia came over and lifted Ange out of the water.
The blonde quickly recovered and pushed Salia away, stepping on Kaito's face as she stabilized herself. The former princess had barely registered in her mind that Kaito had groped her breasts, but that was the last thing on her mind now.
Salia growled and said, "You always run off alone, always acting on your own! When can you stop being so selfish?!"
Ange yelled back, "You never stop them from attacking me! I'm not gonna just let them kill me! That's why I always fight alone!"
As the girls continued to fight, Kaito managed to get up, and he was really annoyed, not caring that his towel was gone. The man yelled, "Can you both just stop?!"
The two girls swiftly turned to him and punched him in the face hard, "SHUT UP, YOU FUCKING PERVERT!"
The man fell into the water once again with the force of two angry girls unconscious and slowly floating in the pool like a float.
Ange and Salia were still fighting. Just then, Ersha and Vivian, who had just came back from their shifts at the cafeteria, came in through the door and blinked in surprise as they came face to face with Ange and Salia fighting with wooden brushes as if they were swords, with Momoka trying to stop them with no success.
The two pinkettes also didn't fail to notice Kaito floating on the water with a blank expression on his face, and they most certainly did not blush from noticing his naked body along with his considerably impressive sword.
Soon after, Kaito, Ange and Salia were standing in front of Jill in her office, with Salia and Ange both sporting bruises on their faces and bodies while Kaito just looked annoyed.
Emma sighed and spoke in her usual 'I-am-better-than-thou' tone, "Seriously, do you need to fight even in the baths? You Normas are so barbaric."
Ange and Salia didn't respond and just opted to glare at the green haired woman as Kaito said annoyed, "Just so I make it clear, I am not a Norma, and besides, why the hell am I here?".
Ange didn't answer nor did she care, Salia was just trying hard not to break under Jill's gaze and Emma just huffed and did not respond. The man sighed and face palmed, 'Fuck this shit, all I asked is to have a peaceful bath and because of these two I am stuck here.'
After a while, Jill spoke, "Seriously, this is unlike you, Salia, and I seriously don't blame Ange. As for Kaito, suck it up, you're a man. So, Emma."
The officer nodded and slipped a piece of paper onto the table, "Your reports, I expect them to be on my desk by tomorrow morning."
Ange groaned, "Why do I have to do them?"
Kaito glared at the girl slightly, "That's my line, besides, I did nothing! I was just taking a bath!"
Unfortunately, none of the women bothered to listen to him and sent the three out. Later, Kaito grumbled as he wrote the report, "Fucking bitches, I did nothing wrong! Hell, I haven't written a report like this since highschool!"
Meanwhile, in Ange's room, the blonde was out cold on the bed. Momoka sighed as she wrote the report for her mistress, careful not to wake her, 'Seriously, Angelise-sama really has changed. If it was back there, well, the fight wouldn't have happened anyway.'
The maid quickly finished the report, careful to mimic Ange's hand writing as she did, unaware of the slight shivering Ange made.
The next morning, the first squad stood in Ange's room, or at least the ones who cared. Ersha said worriedly, "She has a cold, Ange should get more rest."
Vivian touched the former princess' forehead and said in shock, "She's burning hot!"
Kaito sighed and stared at Salia, "So, who's fault is this?''
Salia looked away and fumed in embarrassment, knowing full well she was the cause, "It can't be helped, we'll have to go without her. She'll just hold us down anyways."
Kaito sighed, "Well, at least someone would be happy."
He looked at the door where Hilda, Rosalie and Chris were standing, no doubt having heard of Ange's condition and came here to laugh at her. Hilda smirked, "Well, at least we get more cash without that burn princess with us."
Later, in the hangar, Salia asked Mei, "So, how's the Vilkiss?"
The head mechanic replied, "It's a wreck, seriously, I know we said to go all out, but Ange always pushes it to the limit. I mean, that's good and all, but maintenance is a pain in the ass."
Salia nodded before she asked, "The Overlord?''
Mei nodded, "Better, at least Kaito knows restraint. But then again, he always seemed like the exact opposite of Ange."
The captain of the first squad nodded as she looked at the grey Para-mail. Unlike the Vilkiss, which was dangerous in which it killed most of its pilots, the Overlord never responded to anyone. Jill had once told her about it, and the bluenette had once went to the underground hangar to test it out, but it didn't budge. But for Kaito, he's never even seen it before the Overlord clawed its way out to save the man. That was a big mystery, maybe it needed a male as a pilot? No one knew.
The girl was broken out of her musings by Mei again, "Well, Ange's keeping the money and all the risk to herself, so I guess it can't be helped."
Salia blinked, "Risks?"
Mei nodded as she placed her hand on the Para-mail she was working on, "Well, you can say as a mechanic, I can feel the emotions the riders imbue into their mechs. For example, Ange's Vilkiss, everytime I work on it, I get the 'I-won't-let-anyone-die,that's-why-I'm-gonna-take-on-all-the-dragons' vibe."
Salia blinked before Mei laughed, "Don't take it too seriously, you're wondering why Ange's always like that, right? That's what I think."
Salia nodded, "I see. But, there's no way someone like Ange would do that, I mean…"
The captain's eyes widened as she remembered her logs, "Wait… ever since Ange awakened the Vilkiss, no one died in combat."
The girl thought, 'Wait, Kaito did spend some time with her on that island, maybe he knows something.'
The captain then wordlessly left the hangar. Mei smiled, "Well, finally she's got it. Maybe there's hope for that squad."
Later in the library, which was generally left untouched except for Kaito, who was reading up on facts of the world as well as its history, he needed to know the difference with his world. None of the girls used the place since they felt that killing dragons and training was more important. But Kaito knew better and decided to take whatever he had.
As the man went through the third book on the world's history, Kaito noticed Salia walking in. He greeted, "Hey, what's up?"
Salia walked to him and sat down in front of him, "Hey, there's something I want to ask you about, its about Ange."
Kaito raised an eyebrow, "Hmm, why me? I mean, Momoka is a better choice."
Salia shook her head, "That maid will only spout good things about her, I need a neutral opinion, besides, you know her better than anyone on the island now anyways."
Kaito sighed, she wasn't wrong. His relationship with Ange was similar to that with Kouta in way. The two had a rivalry going on with Kaito and they generally fought for the same purpose, which is to protecc their important people.
The man nodded, "Fine, what do you want to know?"
Salia spoke, "Ange has always been fighting on her own, I want your opinion on that."
The girl wanted to know if Ange really was fighting to prevent deaths, or just did that because she was selfish. Kaito let out a breath, "Well, this is my speculation. According to the reports I've read, Ange indirectly caused the deaths of your previous teammates, right? The Ange I knew before coming here is selfish, spoiled rotten and naïve. So, after seeing someone die in front of her, I suppose that changed her."
Salia then asked, "Is it possible if she's fighting alone so no one dies?"
Kaito blinked, "That is a high possible answer actually, I was getting there too. You can say the Ange before she came to Arzenal is mentally weak, so that change might have caused her to question her way of life. More importantly, Ange wouldn't want to form any attachments to any of us here because she's afraid that she might kill us. Her maid, Momoka is a prime example."
Salia nodded, "That's… how do you know that?"
Kaito leaned back on his chair, "It's because-"
He was cut off by the alarm, "We'll continue this later."
Salia nodded and they quickly ran towards the hangar. The members of squad one suited up and mounted their Para-mails before they launched, ready to deal with the DRAGONs. As they shot towards the island where the DRAGONs were sighted, they quickly noticed the massive beast on the ground. The DRAGON was huge, easily thrice, if not five times the size of the Para-mails. It also stood on its four legs and had two massive horns. It can be described a
Vivian exclaimed in surprise, "Holy shiet! A NEW TYPE!"
Hilda grinned, "You know what this means, girls?"
Rosalie and Chris both grinned in response, "YEAH! Jackpot!"
Kaito sighed, "Even so, with the amount of small fries, it'll be difficult to attack it head on. Besides, it seems immobile, we have to assume it has some kind of attack against us."
Salia, Ersha and Vivian agreed, but the other three girls thought otherwise. Hilda huffed, "Whatever, we just need to clear up the Schooner classes first right? This will be easy."
Kaito didn't say anything they all charged the DRAGONs. Meanwhile, back in Arzenal, more specifically Ange's room, the former princess was in her uniform, which was loosely put on due to her state of health. Momoka scolded as she tried to get Ange back into bed, "Angelise-sama, you must rest!"
The blonde frowned and said drowsily, "I need to go fight…"
At the same time, in the command center, Jill said with a frown, "A new type of DRAGONs, huh? This is a bit troubling…"
Pamela asked curiously, "What do you mean, commander?"
." It's the first time you seen one , officer? Pointing at Emma and others in the room.
Jill replied, "We have no idea what its abilities are, remember that DRAGON Kaito fought when the Overlord activated? It's good that he killed it, but going into a fight against an enemy we have no information on can be dangerous. We only got lucky"
The woman then thought back on the DRAGON Kaito fought. True, they had recordings of when the Overlord fought it, but because the base went dark during that time, they didn't have enough data to determine its level of strength. Hopefully it won't be the case for this new one.
Back on the battlefield Hilda and her cronies were gleaning on how much money they can get with this information especially taking it alive cascaded inside ice.
"Salia requesting for back up" Salia was carefully when dealing with the unknown it's better we be careful.
"I agree with the captain. It's best to be careful when facing the unknown . " Kaito defending her" It's better we split two group one focusing on the Scuna and the other the new species". His not going to call it that moniker" we carefully fired faraway from its killed Zone.
Of course Hilda telling Salia being a wet blanket that she was afraid and compare her to the dying captain Zola, Hilda yelled, "Heh what a coward for a male, come with me Rosalia, Chris. We take the earnings for ourselves".Let's go!"
The redhead and her two friends rained down bullets on the massive dragon, dodging the smaller pink DRAGONs as they did. But unfortunately for them, none of their attacks worked. Rosalie growled, "Dammit, fucking thick armor…"
Chris spoke, "Hey, the underneath seems soft, maybe if we attack there."
Hilda grinned, "Yeah!"
The three shot downwards in their jet modes and approached the DRAGON. At that moment, Vivian felt her skin tingle, a bad feeling creeping into her heart. With Kaito, the Overlord suddenly lurched backwards slightly, as if it knew something was coming.
Then, the massive Unknown roared, causing the smaller DRAGONs to shoot up into the air in response. Ersha wondered, "They flew up? What's going on?"
Hilda huffed, "Heh, who cares, we're gonna be CRAZY RICH!"
The three Para-mails turned into their Assault modes and prepared to unleash hell upon the DRAGON. But at that moment, a huge magic circle appeared under the DRAGON as its horns glowed. Then, everything was pulled towards the ground.
Fortunately, everyone's Para-mails were in their Assaults modes, so they didn't suffer much damage. Salia groaned as she struggled to move, "What's… this? My body feels so heavy…"
Ersha nodded as she tried to move. Kaito growled, " Gravity… that magic circle, and its horns have the power to manipulate gravity. This is like Roshuo all over again, if only I have access to my Overlord form…" As Kaito remembering one of the most powerful overlord that kick both him and Kouta asses like 10 ten-year old.
The man muttered that last part, so no one heard him, but they did hear about the gravity and horns part. Vivian forced out, "If it's the horns that's doing this, then my BUNBUNMARU will blow it away."
The pink Razor drew its boomerang and swung it towards the DRAGON's horns. But due to the increased gravity, along with Vivan's aim, the boomerang spiralled towards the ground. Vivian gasped, "WHAT?! IT DIDN'T WORK!"
Kaito decided to act, "If that's the case…"
The Overlord struggled as it drew the Sonic Arrow after managing to move into a kneeling position. But before he could release the arrow, the DRAGON roared as the gravity increased, causing him to slam into the ground. Kaito growled in pain, "Fuck, I guess he won't just let us do as we please."
The DRAGON then roared, causing the smaller DRAGONs above them to start shooting fireballs at them. Salia cursed, "Shit!"
The squad painfully shot at the fireballs, trying to prevent them from hitting them. As the squad fended against the attacks, the giant Unknown class started to move towards the three fallen Para-mails, which were the closest to it.
Vivian along with Kaito was struggle to fight as they stand up and walking towards the dragon" Let them go" Vivian shouted trying to hit the horns but her mech arms crumble of the gravity.
Kaito struggle walking towards it still holding the sonic arrow he mange to pull and can fire one shot but he needed to get close if not the arrow would be infected by the gravity. The Giant DRAGON increase the gravity exponential the one's near including Kaito that's walking to the kill zone.
Then, everyone's radars sounded as a familiar signal came into range. Ersha said in shock, "Why is she here?! She should be resting!"
Kaito shouted, "That idiot!"
Everyone turned to see the Vilkiss flying towards them. Salia yelled, "What are you doing here, Ange?!"
The former princess replied drowsily, "I'm here to fight obviously… I'm feeling a bit weird, so let's hurry up and end this…."
The commander gritted her teeth and yelled, "Don't come here! You'll be pulled down by the gravity!"
Yet again, the blonde answered drowsily, "Don't worry, I can handle it myself… like always…"
Salia growled before she snapped, "DAMMIT! SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME YOU FUCKING BITCH!"
Ange hummed in response, a bit surprised at the outburst even in her drowsy state. The captain continued, "You're always going on by yourself, I'VE HAD ENOUGH! SO LISTEN TO ME, OR WE'LL ALL DIE!"
Salia expected a cocky/drowsy annoying response, but to her surprise, Ange nodded, "Okay…"
The captain said in surprise, "You will?"
Ange nodded, "Yeah… so… what is it?"
The bluenette let out a breath, "Okay, shoot straight up, adjust by three degrees to the right and fly up 20 knots."
Ange nodded and turned to the left, "Like this?"
Salia resisted the urge to facepalm but decided to push it down, since Ange was sick anyways, "No, the other way."
Ange nodded and turned to the right, "Like this?"
Salia nodded, "Yes, stop there. Now go up."
The blonde nodded and shot straight up, entering the gravitational field and started to fall. Ange blinked and asked groggily, "Hmm? Am I falling, it feels like I'm falling…"
Salia denied, "No, its just your cold. Just hold that position first."
Ange nodded before Kaito asked, "Salia? Are you sure this is-"
The captain snapped, "SHUT UP YOU DAMN BANANA!"
Kaito stopped, but he was a bit put off by the pervert comment, 'Where did that come from anyways?'
Salia let out a breath before she recomposed herself, 'If I fail, everyone's gonna die. Okay…'
The bluenette then said, "Now, Ange, kick, kick it like you kicked me."
Ange blinked and nodded, "Okay, like this…. Right?''
The Vilkiss spread its legs out in the position of a flying side kick, more specifically, a Rider kick. With Salia's directions and Ange's surprising cooperation, the Vilkiss was in a position to smash right through one of the DRAGON's horns, adding in the force from the gravity pulling the Vilkiss downwards, the power of the kick was increased tenfold.
Then, the Vilkiss smashed right through the horn, breaking it off as it stabbed into the ground, allowing all the Para-mails to take flight again. Salia then yelled, "YOSH! ALL UNITS! ATTACK!"
Everyone roared in agreement as they made short work of all the DRAGONs while Ange rested on the ground, not caring where she was anymore.
A while later, Mei facepalmed seeing the damage done to the Vilkiss and the other Para-mails, "Seriously…. They know no self-restraint…"
The mechanic then started to work on the repairs as she grumbled, making the other mechanics sweatdropped as they helped repair the machines.
Meanwhile, at the counter, Chris and Rosalia were counting their bills in joy, the younger girl said, "My god! So much money!"
Rosalie agreed, "I must be dreaming!"
Kaito sighed as he said, "Seriously, what is it with you girls and money?''
Ersha smiled bashfully, "Well, can't blame them, I mean you know what kind of place Arzenal is…"
Kaito sighed and shook his head, he had to admit though, the cash was satisfying, especially after a long day and a tiring fight against the DRAGONs. Meanwhile, Ange was sulking a bit, she was still feeling blurry, but she was somber enough to know that the pay she received was little.
The blonde grumbled, "So little cash…"
Ange then heard Salia's voice from behind, "Well, all you did was break the horns after all."
The blonde turned and glared at the bluenette before Salia continued, "But, its thanks to you we all survived and got the pay."
Ange sneezed before she glared at Salia, "You used me as a bullet! You should at least give me a quarter of your pay, if not half of it!"
The bluenette sighed, "I take back what I said…"
Ange then said seriously, "Everyone will know about your hobbies, you know?"
Salia growled, "Go back to bed you stupid blonde."
The two were about to continue when Kaito grabbed Ange's hand and slapped a stack of bills onto her hand, "Here, take it. I don't need that much anyways, and stop fighting, its fucking annoying. I need one day off both of you not bickering"
Ange blinked in surprise as Kaito walked away. She knew the man always did that and never asked for anything in return, but for some reason, when he stepped in and gave her half of his pay, Ange felt a bit happy and had a weird but pleasant feeling in her gut.
Then, Salia turned to Hilda, Rosalie and Chris, "So, are you three happy?"
Hilda stared at the captain, "Ha? What are you talking about, of course! We got loads of cash and we wasted a bunch of DRAGONs!"
Salia nodded, "Yes, but it's because of Ange you made so much money."
Hilda frowned, "What are you getting at?"
The bluenette stared at the three, "I want you to stop targeting Ange, I know you all hate her, and I don't care whatever you do in your free time, but, regardless we're still a team, so I want you to stop doing stuff that will jeopardize the team."
The girl then turned to Ange, "And stop hoarding all the targets, its not like you need that much cash, leave some for the others."
Hilda huffed, "Who'd listen to you?"
"I don't really care, as long as you all don't pull me down," Ange replied, to the shock of everyone. They had expected her to throw out some snarky comeback, but instead she just complied. Maybe it was her fever.
Then, again to Hilda's shock, Rosalia and Chris both nodded, the elder girl said, "Well… I don't really mind if we get the cash…"
Chris nodded, "Yeah, I mean, we would be dead if Ange didn't come. So, I guess we could try."
Hilda growled and walked away, pushing the two of her friends away, "Fucking traitors…"
As the redhead stormed away, the other girls just stared in worry, save Ange and Salia. At the same time, Kaito sighed as he watched the fleeing figure of the girl, "Well, I guess you can't please everyone. But at least, the team is starting to warm up to her."
Later, when Ange was feeling better, the members of the first squad along with Momoka, save for Kaito and Hilda, were in the baths. Ersha spoke, "Well, since Ange is better now, and we all got a good payday, I think we should celebrate this for a bit, and give special thanks to Ange!"
Ersha then glanced at the girl mischievously and everyone got the hint and quickly surrounded the former princess. Ange yelped as the girls lifted her up, "Hey… what are you… wait!"
The girls all said unison, "ONE… TWO… THREE!"
They then threw the girl into the water as Ange screamed in surprise. Then, the girls spent the next hours playing in the bath happily. Meanwhile, with Kaito was meditating on a platform near the base, he let a small grin appear on his face as he heard the happy voices of the girls from the baths, which was somewhere below him.
Then, the man's attention was drawn to a small pigeon who landed in front of him. Kaito's eyes widened as he reached for the bird and took out a piece of paper from the bird's leg. The man unfolded the paper to see a message from team Neo Baron.
(Flashback sometime before Kaito was sent to Arzenal)
Kaito sat in front of the members of the team. Jack said, a bit concerned, "What are you talking about, Kaito?"
The man stared at his comrades, "I'm gonna unfold the mysteries of the world, you know my use of Mana is limited. Besides, this world is too perfect, far too perfect. That spells trouble, that's why I'm gonna solve it.'' It was something he wanted to do and he doesn't believe in a so called perfect world. Water Which is Too Pure Has No Fish.
Pick spoke up, "But, you won't necessarily get arrested or something, right?"
Kaito shook his head, "No, anything is possible. That's why I want to have a backup plan just in case. Besides, if this continues, eventually I might have to go against the royals, especially if Julio takes the throne. Angelise, I can handle, plus regardless of her attitude, she would work to make this country a better place even if she's a spoiled princess that hates Norma".
"But Julio, he might seem fine, but he's spoiled rotten, far worse than the princesses are. I what kind of person he truly is So, if the time comes when I am arrested, or something happens to me, especially if it could cause trouble for you, I want you to make a scene where you cut ties with me."
Jack and Pick stared at their friend in shock, Jack yelled, "You want us to do what?!"
Kaito nodded, "Exactly as I said, make it look like you're all cutting ties with me. Of course, it will only be an act."
Pick considered for a while before he said, "I get where you're coming from, but, its going to be hard."
The man nodded, "I know. But, its necessary, besides, the important thing is that our relationship doesn't change, regardless of what people think."
Jack and Pick both nodded before understanding what their leader intention. Both of them no the entire team Neo Baron owe Kaito a debt of gratitude as he help all of them after they lost their way in life.
Kaito nodded , "Good to know, now, you'll learn how to use messenger birds, since Mana messages can be intercepted by others."
(Flashback end)
After that, Jack and Pick, along with the other members of Neo Baron all agreed that they would gather information for Kaito. Unfortunately, it took quite a while for them to figure out where Kaito was, so they only started sending information to Kaito a short while ago. Kaito quickly read through the note, which told him about the palace and several events concerning a certain sister of a former princess.
Later, after the small party, Ange and Momoka were about to sleep when the maid received a Mana transmission from the mainland. Momoka's eyes widened, "Angelise-sama, come quick!"
The blonde blinked in confusion before she walked to Momoka's side to see the Mana panel. Then Momoka played the audio and Ange's eyes widened in shock as she heard, "Onee-sama, please help me! Onee-sama!"
Then a male voice could be heard, "Shut up! Under Julio-sama's orders, you are to be executed in three days. Now move!"
Then the audio ended. Ange clenched her fists as she growled, glaring out the window, "JULIO…. Now you're gonna even kill Sylvia?!"

So, that's the seventh chapter. I decided to add some comedy in the scene. Sure the series has many fanservices and series sometimes it need a comic relief . Review please.
