Anger, betrayal and shame was what Ange was feeling right now. When she managed to reach the palace and looking to where he sister stood, Ange saw her, ran up to hug her but in return her sister tried to stab with a knife she managed dodge, only graze her side, she held it trying to stop the bleeding failing to notice Julius's guards, who in return, put cuffs on her then threw her in the dungeon.
As they were walking there she tried blame Kaito for her misfortune. No that would be making an excuse to herself just like the time she shot him and blaming him for her predicament.
As she was locked up, she then remembered what Kaito said before the three of them left. That he knew something like this might happen and is probably the reason why he didn't want to come back.
Kaito knew that it was a trap to lure Ange here, and all the pieces were coming together. It made all make sense including the day and time, it wasn't a coincidence.
She knew that even if Kaito warned her she wouldn't listen and would brush off. She wanted to laugh the irony that the man whom she hate turns out was looking after her in his own way.
Kaito along with Hilda and Team Neo Baron were sabotaging a strategic location point like communication tower, transport and others that they seem important and adding something extra all around the palace when they will begin the announcement of the Norma presence.
They already announced that they're going to do it today at midnight as it seems the prince no Emperor wanted to boost his own popularity. So the entire Empire citizens were invited for the show.
"Preparations are ready we need to start the plan. Hilda I need you to find a transport and ….." Kaito said as he whispered at her ear.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm sure. Be ready" he answered
Hilda nodded then ran straight towards her destination on what Kaito instructed her to do.
Kaito quickly donned himself a black hood, black cloak and a black masked that hide his face so that no one would recognize him that He was Kumon Kaito team leader of Neo Baron that was exiled from the Empire to the island with the monsters Norma.
"Everyone I want you all act natural, and remember where you all going even if you despised the feeling, you must remember to hold it, do you all understand". Kaito said
Yes Kaito Aniki" Team Baron said in Unison, in truth they wanted to shout their outrage but it would attract attention and the name Kaito that spoke in public is a Taboo similar to princess Angelise name. Those who utter that name end up washing their mouth in distaste.
Kaito arrive at the execution area while blending within the crowds he can see How Sylvia was whipping Ange for all to see and blaming her for everything. Even though Momoka pleaded her to stop.
The next thing is that Julio has thanked Momoka for her part in his scheme. It turns out that he's the one who sent her to be with Ange on Arzenal, but without her knowing she's been manipulated. She's crying from this revelation.
Ange felt pain but it wasn't the pain of being whip it was her heart. And furious she felt towards the face of the mass and her brother that she once devoted on them and turn their backs on her just like that. In truth one small part of her heart wanted for them to accept her back.
But in truth their face reminds so much like her how she once treated the Norma baby like a monster and told the mother that she should replace it, how she wanted to laugh of the irony she felt.
Kaito who was looking can only look at her with pity and letting her knowing the truth, the truth always hurts and endure the hurt that felt. But in her eyes there was no despair only determination and Kaito like how her eyes look.
Her eyes didn't deter nor drown in despair it was full with hate and determination and the will to live no matter what.
He felt kinship with her. It was the same eyes that both of them have and how they once fell into the abyss but crawled back out and knowing the truth and moving forward.
After finishing what Sylvia wants Julius decided to humor Ange and appeal to the crowd.
"The Empress died in her foolish attempt to protect a Norma, and the witless Emperor was executed for deceiving the people."
Kaito noticed Ange looks surprised on what happened to her father. Kaito already knew what happen to her father as he was executed but he didn't care at the time.
"Abominable Norma, Angelise, who carries the royal bloodline. With your judgment, the cleansing of the royal family will be complete. Tonight, this nation will be reborn. The New Empire of Misurugi," Julio added. "As Julio the First, Emperor of the Holy Empire, I demand that this Norma be executed!"
He concluded his speech, and the crowd cheered. Both Former Princess and Former overlord have one thing in their mind disgusting and shameless.
After getting whipped, Ange is about to be sent to the gallows, and Kaito saw her former classmates are cheering for her to die. If that wasn't enough, the brown-haired girl threw an egg at her for a crime, which it turns out Ange kicked her around a little and tied her up.
"Baby..." Ange remembering the infant that she discard.
Momoka tried to put up an explanation.
"It's not her fault. Angelise didn't do anything wrong. I found happiness thanks to Angelise." How Naïve was what Kaito thought.
Unfortunately, her pleas are being ignored when Ange's former classmates are clapping and chanting, 'Hang her', and the crowd follows.
Ange look at the crowd with disgust thinking how she was like them treating others like monsters, not knowing everything. But if she was about to be executed she wanted with her dignity intact.
Ange started singing some song while being sent to the gallows, and it was from her mother's song that she used to sing. Julio and Sylvia are not liking this.
"That's Mother's song. Don't ruin it, you Norma!" the latter demanded. Next, the former looked at Riza as if he demands her to stop her singing.
"Guards, make her stop," Riza ordered.
"Sir," one of the guards said.
The guards demand Ange to stop singing. But she continued even her neck was tied to rope. Kaito was ready to press the trigger when they all concentrating on Ange.
Suddenly, lights came out of nowhere as Kaito had to shields his eyes along with everyone else. Kaito didn't know who it was until Tusk jump is about to make his move.
As soon as the light fades away, He rescuing Ange, but he landed on her crotch... again. And getting kick again.
Kaito can only sigh if that person has the worst luck ever but he didn't hesitate pushing the trigger in his hand as the sound of explosive can be heard causing those shameful citizen to look in panic and running like headless chicken it was a perfect distraction.
"Guards, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and restrain them," Riza ordered and the guards are approaching the two. It's obvious she uses the order to give Ange a reason to escape as to not letting Julio know that she is helping me. "That Norma-saver. What is he?"
Kaito quickly jump up the gallows near Ange and taking down the guards with his fist as he punched the nearest one so hard that he was knock out easily. It was one of the flaw of Mana user they lack the strength and endurance of a real human being from his world.
"Ange I came here to rescue you along with Tusk" Kaito pointing at downed Tusk and Ange knew who it was since the only male that knew Tusk name was Kaito. But she couldn't believe that Kaito was her to rescue her.
"A rebel element," Julio replied. "A Norma-sympathizing terrorist."
Ange quickly frees Momoka from her Mana handcuffs and Momoka free Ange from her specialize Norma handcuff the trio started fighting back on the guards as she throws grenades that she acquires from Momoka in which Momoka acquire from Tusk.
It was then Kaito was near to the Prince and Princess he already in capitated Rize when she was distracted. He kick the little sister's wheel chair causing her to fall with a scream. Sure he doesn't like hitting little girls but he didn't like how the princess blaming it on her sister.
"Stay away from me you terrorist, guards seize him" but they were distracted by Ange and the other guards were wailing in agony by Kaito. As the Emperor use his Mana to protect himself.
With ever anger in his very fiber and soul Kaito unleashed his fury as he pulls his strongest punch on the bastard prince the first collided on his face it didn't even deter if there's a barrier the punch with much anger in one point.
Julio was already screaming in pain as a few tooth's started to fly from his mouth and some blood flew to Sylvia as she scream , Kaito wasn't finished as continuing onwards " United States of Smash! " and smashes his target into the ground hard creating a small crater. The prince was knocked out and a sizable fist can be seen on his face.
Ange and Momoka along with the dead weight Tusk were getting on to a vehicle which the operation is just like how she pilots the Para-mail back on Arzenal. With this, Ange started to fly away, but before that... she had a look of satisfaction on how Julio look right now. It was a shame that she couldn't be the one hurt him.
She looks at the disguise Kaito telling her to go on using simple sign language that they learn on Arzenal incase if communication was down but still a feedback video or pilots lost their voice during combat.
Ange nodded understanding.
"Thank you, Brother. You revealed my true identity," even though he was out cold she turns to Julio before Sylvia. "Thank you, Sylvia. You showed me the true, filthy nature of human beings."
As Sylvia looks frightened by this.
"Goodbye, beasts from a rotten nation!" Ange exclaimed before she escaped with Momoka and Tusk. As they left Rize quickly shouted the remaining guards to apprehend the mask terrorist. "Guards seize him".
Kaito was already three steps ahead as he pull out the rose attacker unveiling a bike as he rode it towards his destination and since they can't follow him because all of the transports were destroyed courtesy of Ange and Kaito's doing.
Then he pushed another trigger creating a smoke screen that enveloped the entire palace area and to conceal him from enemy sight, at first it was nothing until one of the citizens starting to feel itchy on their body, uncontrollable then followed by others. It was Kaito last surprise for the rotten Empire. In truth he could plant explosives in the palace but leave a bad taste in his mouth if children got hurt in the crossfire.
As three of them were on the transport Momoka was apologizing to her actions that cause Ange to suffer from humiliation, betrayal and abuse.
"For what, I feel refresh thanks to you" Ange said to Momoka who in returned was confused by what she said
"I realized that I don't need them, because I already have a new family, friends and a home"
"Angelise-sama" Momoka said with a little tear in her eye
"But anyway" As Ange pick up Tusk slapping him to wake him up from his stupid
smile.
"Ow" Tusk said while holding his cheek that was red from Ange's slap
"Well, congrats you're awake" Ange said
"Oh thank goodness Ange you're safe". Tusk said with worry in his voice
"You did it again" Ange said with a hint of anger in her voice
"Did what?" Tusk asked in confusion
"Why do you keep burying your face on my crotch? Is it a habit, a fetish or a sickness!" as she continue nuggy Tusk head in irritation and anger.
"Angelise-sama what is your relationship with this person?" Momoka asked.
"Um-" Ange was about to explain to Momoka but was cut off by Tusk.
"A special relationship" Tusk making a joke
"What?!" Ange said in shock
"Of course! Otherwise, he wouldn't risk his life to help you". Momoka concluded
"You do realize Momoka that Kaito was there" Angelise pointing out from Momoka day dream.
"Wait Kaito was there" Momoka asked the only person that came to the rescue was Tusk and the one with the black cloak. "Oh". As she put her fist on her palm realizing it, it happen so fast that she didn't see the masked man.
"Yes he was the one that wore a cloak and masked probably disguise himself not letting anyone knew him." Ange explained to Momoka
"Wait that masked man was Kaito? How did you knew Angelise-sama" she asked
"Eh I just knew that's all. He was there, that's all". Kaito said remembering how he shouted Tusk name and that she recognize immediately.
Tusk when hearing the name Kaito he felt irritated for no reason and was surprised that the man Kaito was there and Jill never mention about him escaping along with Ange.
"So Tusk why you are here?" Ange asked Tusk
"I got a message from Jill" he said
"Jill?" Ange said in disbelief
"She told me not to let you die." Tusk giving back the ring that Julio stole.
"Why" Ange asked
"I'm a knight of Villkiss"
"A knight?"
"A knight to protect" Tusk sounded childish but then again he wanted some to proof Ange that he was capable.
"You can asked Jill for details, And your hair is beautiful ". Tusk complementing Ange and she blushed but lasted a few seconds with his perverted remarks happening again.
Kaito and Hilda arrive earlier since their Air transport was ready and didn't have the trouble of sidetracked with Ange getting Angry with Tusk again.
Kaito told Hilda that she should steal a transport and prepared for takeoff after his grand finale and did. With this both of the escape from the main towards the Norma Home.
"So you came back" The commander look at Kaito with interest since he was the only arrive and willing to return back to this hellhole.
"Like I said I just needed a vacation and I brought souvenirs" as the transport from the inside revealing high-quality Belgian chocolate that only rich bastardy afford especially nobility and other things. Hilda was also there getting off the transport but didn't say anything looking around nervous of the outcome.
Jill was really annoyed since Kaito wasn't like the other males he knew and that was hard to read. Even so, he had the potential for her plan along with Ange.
It was then there was a noise inside the transport as Kaito quickly took a gun and pointed at the transport and asked "who's there, show yourselves" he said
What came out was Jack with both of his arms up, showing that he wasn't armed. "Don't shoot!" he said
"Jack what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to follow you Kaito aniki. Even if the place that you're going to is very dangerous" Jack said
"Why I might asked" Kaito said
"It's because I wanted to be used for you ever since I was young people flatter because of my family influence but you showed the way to be more than just" Jack's life situation is very similar to that of a comic book character. His parents were rich and influential, but they weren't that pompous like those other nobles, they loved their son and did not spoil him much, Jack also love his parents.
But one they got into an accident and lose their life, he remembers how his friends felt sorry for him and trying to help. Until one day he heard his friends were talking behind him that he was only using his parents influence, they only befriends because his family was influential and other things.
When he learnt the truth he was devastated knowing he was alone in this world, Jack would just drink to drown his sorrow for time to time. His family had a wine cellar then one day he bump a person by accident whom he would look up to and change his life.
"You do realize their no going back if you go back you will be executed". Kaito already told the group of the consequences of knowing the island secret.
"I know I just can't stand being useless not while you fought and bleed how can I be part of team Baron by letting Aniki do all the dirty work. So please let me join you in your battle".
Kaito can only sigh as he knew Jack won't change his mind he was that loyal he reminds him of Momoka that much." Fine, but you need to be careful and follow the orders. This place is not a walk in the park".
"Thank you Kaito Aniki". Jack said as he bowed.
With the drama done it was the commander turn but before she could say anything Kaito toss her something similar to a flash drive as she caught by instinct.
"It's has information what's happening within the Empire"
Then she smiled and punch Kaito with her prosthetic arm on his face hard but Kaito hold his ground. He already knew why she punched him, as it was due to being A.W.O.L. Jack didn't do anything because he knew why the scary lady punched Kaito. It reminded him of himself on how Kaito punched him to make him understand, for doing something bad.
"Take him to the cell and her as well, and you my boy stay with me for a while". Jill pointing at the frighten Jack.
"Yes ma'am!" Jack said nervously.
Ange and Momoka finally arrived back at Arzenal as they had to take a detour since the vehicle almost reached its capsize because of Tusk's attics. As she got up saying goodbye to Tusk, Jill along with her soldiers were there in the ready. Ange wanted to ask something but she was knockout by Jill and was to be put in her Cell along with Kaito and Hilda.
While in the cell she was stripped and showered by both Salia and Ersha and was forced to wake up with a cold bucket of water to the face.
"Are you awake?" Ersha asked Ange as she awoke. Then noticed that she was once again completely naked. Again.
Salia didn't care sound professional "You're being informed of your punishment, Ange of Salia Squad for your dissertation you will be placed in the suspension quarters for one week. Your wealth and property will be confiscated. This includes the Villkiss of course"
Ange growled upon hearing this.
"You have to take responsibility that you went A.W.O.L". Ersha said with a betrayed look "Why did you runway anyways? We have been brought here since we were babies. We don't even know the outside world and no one is waiting for us. So we don't have a reason to leave. There's no place for us Norma to go outside. So why?"
Salia frowned "Ultimately, it's because she's different than us. I shouldn't have trusted you" Salia said as both of them left.
Ange was getting dressed then she saw Hilda resting, as she was looking at her face she noticed a bruise with bandage. Even though Kaito manage to bandage it but the wounds is still there "So you're back too". Ange said
"Yeah but looking at you I can tell that both of us are already being abandoned by the people that we once longed. As you must know I was beaten up by some men but Kaito came to my rescue and help beat them up. What about you" Hilda said
"I was whipped, stripped, humiliated and hanged in front of the public mass. Well not before Kaito caused chaos and panic" Ange remembering how scared the citizens was and how she glee and satisfaction along with how he punched her former family.
"Yes I was there" Hilda said
"What about your friends" Ange asked
"The friends I made here are not my friends at all. I've just used them just to survive. Both of us already lost everything. My room, my money everything is gone, well except my reason to live in which that's a secret". Hilda remembering the embracing warmth that Kaito gave her" What about are still going to live on". She said
"I will live on" Ange said
"That's hilarious but then again you are royalty while commoners and Norma are the bottom are we not. How selfish are you bitch". Hilda said
"You to one to talk loser. All that exist is persecution and fighting DRAGON's every single day. Dammit, it's almost funny. Those ignorant bastards are brimming with prejudice and bigotry. They hear I'm a Norma and reject me like idiots. Is it that bad I can't use mana? Is it bad I'm different? It's all a lie. Friendship, family. Social bonds".
Ange ruffle her hair with frustration and she wanted to tear her hair out." I can't believe I said friendships is great and bonds are beautiful. I wanted to beat myself up". She said
"Dumbass" Hilda said to Ange who agreed with her
"Yeah I am a dumbass everywhere. The world rotten how about we destroyed it all" Ange said
"Huh" She said
"I bet we could do it with our para-mail and arsenal weapons" as both of discuss then on how to fly and survive using para-mails.
"This world oppress me and humiliated me and degraded me. I'll reject it myself. This wretched, frustrating, infuriating world". Ange said
"It's bullshit all of this". Hilda said
"Then lets destroy this bullshit world." Ange said
"Yeah!" Hilda exclaimed

"Kaito you were there this whole time!" Ange blushed as seeing she was naked when they throw her in jail.
"Yes including the scars on your body its good look on you" being sarcastic", both of you so loud that I can hear it from here. And I'm interested with the idea destroying this rotten world".
Ange felt angry but happy that Kaito was safe in Arzenal, sure she was confident that he would be safe but even she would be worried seeing him here she felt relief.
"Kaito, I wanted asked why aren't you among the pigs of the empire, I heard about that you refused such deal from Julio". Ange knew those from the Empire wanted such prestige as she remembers many nobles were trill giving title by both the king and queen and accepted.
"It's because I hate cowards and those use others for their own benefit. Especially scum. Only those who obtained power in coward methods is something I hate the most, and those obtained it easily without effort. Kaito said in anger that both Ange and Hilda flinch hearing it.
"You probably wondering why. And since we have all the time in the world, let me indulge you why". Since he already seen and felt their suffering it's better for him to tell his tale. He nothing to hide anymore.
"It all started when I was a kid a naïve kid. You might asked I live a normal happy life, I have a loving home and family just like both of you once. My father was a hard worker who I respect and my mother was a kind person who supported my father.
"We lived on very faraway place from here. My father owns a small construction company and the workers respected my father. He always told me to do an honest job and commitment". Hilda said to both Kaito and Hilda
"During my youth I had a dream once and that was becoming an Idol". Kaito said to them
"Phfff" both Hilda and Ange couldn't contain their laughter that Kaito the badass brute wanted to be an Idol. It was uncharacteristic.
Kaito waiting for both of to stop laughing "Yeah that was my dream, laugh it all loud, but in the end good things never did come for good people. One day a group of men came to my family workplace they said that the company sponsored by the government and they wanted my father property. Without any compensation and explanation they took everything since they have all the power and all the money they came and made people like us disappear". Kaito said
"We lost everything our source of income, our home and workers who were once our friends. From that day my father change. He would drink to drown his frustration and despair trying to forget. He would hit both me and mother when in a foul mood".
"When the money wasn't enough to live they decided to let me stay in the orphanage. Living in the orphanage was hard since you're an outcast but I endured believing that someday my parents will come back and we became a family again".
"But as years pass they never came back it was then I learned that my father hangs himself since he doesn't knows what to do and escape from reality, my mother was the same as she couldn't take the loss of her husband poison herself. Abandon the son that they're once love and raise".
Both Ange and Hilda were shocked learning how their story was so similar on how the both of them once had a happy life until it was gone then raise in an unfamiliar environment and betray by their own family members.
"I learned that day those with power would trample the weak and defenseless, it was then I decided to become strong. Strong enough to trample those with power, strong enough to no longer felt useless and weak, strong to protect those who are weaker. It's way I sought strength. I took everything, knowledge, skill, strength, endurance, and anything to become strong".
Both Ange and Hilda finally understood why Kaito sought strength so much. It wasn't because he was a battle junkie, it was so that he doesn't want to become weak and to help those who are weak just like him.
"I also promised myself that I will not drown and corrupted when obtaining power it's just like the scum who took everything from me and others. It's why I hated you Angelise Mitsurugi, when I first saw you. Since the day you were born you were already being feed by a silver spoon. Not knowing others predicament, especially the Norma. I already knew that you were a spoiled princess and took everything for granted. With your influence you could have change the view of Norma, but no you indulgence yourself with being a princess". Kaito said
Ange filched hearing about it.
"Just like how treated the Norma baby and you wanted the replace it with another, you were like the Pigs Empire once, are you not". Kaito said to her
She didn't say anything as it was all true, but after learning what it means to be an end of the shoe a Norma and Understood their predicament. And her misadventure,
Kaito sigh "In truth during the time when your mother was shot and you exiled from the empire, I only felt pity towards you on how the irony of a girl that hated the Norma is actually a Norma herself. And how your real parents knew but would kept it secret to protect the daughter that they loved so much. Unlike me and Hilda our parents abandon us" While Kaito was saying this, she remembered the time she and her family spent their time together. Every birthday, party, celebration, and among other things.
"Ange you really have changed unlike last time I've seen you. I saw no matter despair you felt you never give up and determination to live on even though learning the truth you truly are strong. I started to admire and respect you more Ange be proud you finally earn my respect that not many have". Kaito said
Ange blushed as it was because on how Kaito compliment her, and not about her beauty, but what she did on her own, or unusual because she was royalty." Thank you". She said
While Hilda pouted on how Kaito was complementing Ange. But it didn't matter for Hilda as she and Kaito are in a relationship.
"Thank you for your kind words, Kaito and I'm sorry about your parents" Ange said
"Don't be that was a long time ago" Kaito replied
At midnight Ange was singing her song once more as she look towards the moonlight sky. It was something that could ease her heart and make her more determined. Kaito was there still laying around with his hand behind his back looking at Ange.
Her figure can be described enchanting as the moonlight shine on her like a diva singing to the heaven even if no one will listen. So Kaito decide to sing a duet to show that she's not alone. He already knew the lyrics during their time competing with each other.
Ange was surprise but welcoming Kaito's duet as both of them sing in sync.
While everyone on the island were doing their thing. The so called snake was watching above the cliff knowing that something terrible and excitement will happen.
"So what will you do Kaito? Are you gonna destroy this world or remaking this one into your own image just like last time or something else"
This is an extra-long chapter after what happen between Hilda and Ange. Kaito would have a soft heart to heart tell his past to them, that no one including in the canon knew about it and his reason to become strong. Unlike during the time Ange stranded on the deserted island, her heart was still close and her longing to go back.
So after going back to the Empire and learning the truth was like a truck that hit her face as she finally open her heart. Now that she is a Norma is something that she has finally accepted.
Kaito revealing his past is due because he wanted to change more. As he admired Ange's determination, even if she was mocked, humiliated and beaten she still stood and never gave up. And because of that it inspired him to try to be better.

I thought to use this opening for the fic since it's showing the meaning of freedom and the struggle as everyone in the series start from the bottom and continue moving forward. Ange exiled to a Norma, Tusk lost of his family, Jill lost of her arm, Hilda being replaced, Kaito lost of family and his fight with Gaim.
This song has a feeling freedom like attack on Titan that even Norma wanted to be free and not shackled or just become a weapon to be used and discarded.
Other reason I like watching the anime Tower of god and it's opening.
