New Year, New fun, New faces
Lauren's P.O.V.:
It's been a few days since the Christmas season and already the New Year was in full swing here in Brooklyn. Sean and I along with Jess and Keith were back in school for the new year including Lisa as well. Keith had been doing great and talked with Father Isaac about getting in our catechism class which he is going into next week with Sean and me. I couldn't be more thrilled. Anyway, since it was a cold day in Brooklyn, we decided to hand out at the diner and Hector was set to do the punishment during the Super Bowl if the Saints win the championship this afternoon according to Shock. Now you might be wondering what were doing and it's quite simple. Sean I were working on homework for school that we got when we came back, Hector, Jess and Shock were playing Sorry and Shock was in the lead, Mario is helping Sean and I with homework, yet we hand no idea where Lisa and Keith were.
I was wearing my necklace that I got for Christmas along with my ring as well from Jayden as Sean and I were solving a math problem with fractions. "So it sounds like we have to cross multiply the fractions when we divide them right Lauren," Sean asked. "Looks like it. Besides if we multiply ½ by ¼ it should be the same as dividing right Mario," I asked looking at him. "Not really Lauren. When you divide them, you must do the reciprocal of that number," he told us. "Recip-what," Sean asked. "The reciprocal. It means you have to flop the fraction your dividing like ¼ becomes 4," Hector told us. "Oh okay thanks Hector," I told him as we continued with the problems. "I can't believe we already in 2010 this is crazy," Mario told us. "Yeah, who would have ever thought the year would go by fast and now here we are," Sean agreed.
"Your right Sean, guess it means time did fly by. And it went by crazy," I said feeling music coming around me and I knew the new year had to start with a musical number.
Sean singing

Sean's P.O.V.:
"And that is how you rock a number," I told the others with a smile. "You bet that is bravo Sean," Hector applauded and the others did as well. The two of us bowed and soon sat down as Lauren and I continued with homework. "Hey before I forget guys has anyone seen Lisa or Keith," Jess asked after moving one of her game pieces. "I don't know Jess. Last time I saw her was at the Electric Christmas party," I answered. "Yeah I agree and I know Keith and Leo are at the airport today," Lauren pointed out.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Why would Keith and Leo be at the airport? They're not going away are they," Hector asked. "No I guess something happened with Keith's cousin's school and it's being closed until further notice so they had to take him in for the time being," I recalled. "Oh," the others realized. "Say while were at it with updates, Shock how's the song coming along for our first Electric Company music video," I asked. "Going good Lauren. Mario and I have to finish laying down some tracks, some editing and we should be good to go. By the way thanks you two for recording parts with us," Shock answered thanking my sister and brother. "No need Shock. Anytime you need us just call," Hector said. "I will," he replied.
"So Lauren, Gave any thought for the concept of the video," Mario asked me as Sean and I packed up out homework. "Yeah I was thinking over the break of something for the video like the vibe and all," I told them. "What do you mean," Shock asked Hector moved his game piece. "Well I want to do something vintage and a little bit disco but not too disco, yet keeping it vintage," I answered. "So you want to find a balance it sounds like," Sean asked. "Yeah. I know part of the inspiration I got was from the shirt I got Jess for Christmas," I recalled. "Oh. I was going to suggest my shirt which honestly I have to admit, would do great for the video," Jess smiled. "Hey Lauren, I was thinking since you got the idea for the 70s. Maybe, we can do the 70s era for the video and everyone can dress up what it was like in the era," Hector suggested. "Hey that's not a bad idea Hector, I'll like the sound of that," I said agreeing with the idea. "Perfect," Sean smiled. "Yeah works for me," the others agreed. "Great. Now the question where are we shooting the video," Shock asked.
"Right. I'm in the middle of speaking with Ms. Rosa right now to see if we can get one of the building roofs in the area for the shoot," I told the others. "Perfect, and when are we shooting this out of curiosity Lauren. Hopefully not during school," Jess asked. "No not that Jess, I was originally thinking when we get out of school for the summer but as you know were planning the end of school flash mob so as of now I say the 13th of June maybe. I know that's your birthday Hector, you won't mind if we shoot that day would you," I asked my brother. The gang and I are planning a surprise birthday party for Hector and on top of that Sean, Jess and I along with some friends are planning an end of school year flash mob which is supposed to be really cool. "I don't mind at all sis, just as long as we celebrate my birthday that day," Hector agreed. "Okay will do that," I smiled. The door soon opened and cold air came rolling in like tumbleweeds. I huddled next to Sean with my winter jacket on shivering in the midst of the cold and everyone did the same thing as Lisa came into the diner. "Man it is chilly out there. Oh hey guys," she greeted us. "Hey Lisa," we smiled. "Did I miss anything thrilling or exciting," she asked. "Nope. We were just hanging out so the more the merrier," Sean smiled. "Oh good. Hey Shock can I get a hot chocolate please," Lisa asked. "Sure thing Lisa," Shock smiled working on the drink.
Hector's P.O.V.:
"What were you working on Lisa, just curious and all," I asked honestly. "Oh you know stuff," she smiled. "What type of stuff," Sean asked. "Boyfriend stuff," Jess muttered to Lauren and Sean who giggled. "I heard that," I told them. "Actually, Dax and I are working on getting our applications in for the National Space Grant Distinguished Service Award," she told us. "Hold on a second is that a branch for the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program you've been talking about getting into," I asked.
"Yep. Oh thanks Shock," Lisa replied while getting the cup of coco. "What's gotten you into signing up for the scholarship. I hear its one of the if not most competitive scholarship in the country," Jess asked Lisa moving her game piece. "Well Dax and I enjoy science and were hoping if we win this award we get a full ride on scholarship to the University of Alabama in Birmingham and help discover new things in space even settling a debate if there is life on Mars," she added with a smile. "Oh nice. I know there has been talk about it or so lately with the rover I believe being landed," I mentioned to her. "Yeah so it would be interesting really," Jess gushed. "It would," she smiled. "Well Lisa hopefully you get the scholarship," Sean told her. "Thanks Sean so any plans for the music video yet. I know Lauren has been keeping me in the loop," she asked. "Yeah got that all planned out. We'll talk later about it," Lauren told her. "Oh good," she smiled.
"So did I miss anything else," she asked. "No. Not really besides I'm winning Sorry," I bragged. "Actually Hector, I hate to rain on the parade but," Lauren said pointing to the board where Shock almost had his four in. "Are you crazy," I asked him. "Nope," he shrugged.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"You thought for a second Hector was going to tell Lisa how he feels," Sean asked. "Not sure dude besides, he's seems fine talking with her when it comes to the Electric Company but feeling wise, he just gets flustered," I admitted to Sean. "Yeah but your brother is one tough puzzle to put together," he admitted. "Yeah I guess that is with the Ruiz siblings. They're tough puzzles," I shrugged as Shock won the Sorry game. "Okay now that Shock won, anyone want to play cards," Hector asked. "I do," Sean called as he came over to Hector. "Hey before I forget has anyone seen Keith," Lisa asked. "No he's at the airport with Leo," I told her before my phone rang. "On second thought, he's on his way back. He's 15 minuets away from here," I said seeing his text. "They're not going away, are they," Lisa asked. "No. I guess from what I heard from Leo is a pipe burst at Keith's cousin's school and it was an old pipe so they have to get a new one. Until then, school is closed so they had to take him in," Shock explained. "Oh. I thought an odd reason he would be leaving," Lisa thought. "No and honestly guess not but Lisa there is something I need to tell you," Hector shrugged. "You think this is it," I whispered to Sean. "Oh I bet," he smiled. "Lisa I know we have known each other for a while but I just wanted to say I li, I li," Hector started to sputter but stop. "Li what Hector," Lisa asked. "Uh I li, li," he admitted. "Oh. Okay, let me get you some water," Lisa told him as they talked for a second.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"I thought he would admit he had a crush on her by now but I guess he's still tongue tied," Lauren told me. "Yeah looks that way Lauren. Besides, I can imagine you being that if you met Logan Mitchell of Big Time Rush," I teased her. "Yeah right like me," she nudged me. "It's true. You have the biggest celeb crush on him," I admitted. "True, I do have a big crush on him," Lauren smiled. I shrugged and soon went back to homework for a bit. The door opened again and I could see Keith coming in with some one else next to him. "Yo, yo people," he greeted with a smile. "Hey man," Hector greeted. "Hi Keith," I said to him as the others said hi. "Hey guys, did I miss anything," he asked.
"Nope. We were just hanging out and before you ask didn't admit," I told him. "Oh good man, I thought he would. Guess I didn't miss the fun," Keith smiled as he came over. "Hey Keith before I forget, thanks for letting us hang at the diner for a little bit while you were at the airport," Hector told him with a smile. "Hey don't mention it. I knew you guys would want to hang out so I figured why not," Leo smiled. "Yeah and it's honestly going to be great the New Year," Shock agreed. "Yeah. So Keith whose your friend," Lauren asked noticing the person standing next to Keith. I swear he looked a lot like Kyle Massey you know That's so Raven. He almost looked like him.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Oh right. Everyone this is my cousin PJ I've been telling you about lately. He's staying with us for a few months until his school is back up and running after that pipe burst," Keith explained. "Oh. You were telling Sean and I saying you had to go to the airport to pick him up," I realized now. "Yep that's what it was," Keith smiled. "Guess we were right," Sean shrugged. "Guess so," I agreed.
Keith's P.O.V.:
"PJ I like you to meet Lauren, Hector, Jess, Lisa, Shock, Sean and Mario. Guys this is PJ my cousin," I introduced my cousin. "Hi PJ. Nice to meet you. Welcome to Brooklyn," Lauren smiled. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm thrilled to be here with y'all. I'm really excited," he said to them. "Oh a little bit of Southern I hear," Hector noticed. "Yes sir. Been that way ever since," he replied. "Why don't you sit down PJ. We got room for everyone," Sean mentioned. "Don't mind if I do," he said and soon sat next to Shock. "So PJ, Keith was telling us you live in Chicago right," Lisa asked. "Yes indeed. I have to admit, it is a little windy hence the nickname but it's awesome," he told us. "Yeah. Keith has shown us pictures and talking a lot about you so it's pretty cool to meet you in person," Mario grinned. "Yes. He mentioned to me about the Electric Company on the way here, and I can't believe I'm meeting you guys including his friends from school," he said giving Sean a little bump. "True. So what are your hobbies," Lauren asked. "Well, I love acting, writing, being creative but also dancing and reading," he told us. "Oh you like reading," Lisa piped. "Yeah I do. I also like to sing too, i'm a little bit of a hip hop guy," he told us. "He is," everyone asked me. "He is. Hey cousin why don't you do show them a thing you did with the Underdog theme song," I told him. "Sure thing," he smiled. "Hey Shock, a beat please," I asked my friend. "With pleasure," he grinned and soon started to beat box and PJ smiled. "When criminals in this world appear and honestly they should watch out in fear of under, under dog," he rapped and I couldn't believe along with Sean how fast he can do it. We cheered and it was still hard to believe.
"Wow, dude awesome," the gang smiled and applauded for him as he grinned. "Thanks guys," he smiled. "How did you learn something like that," Mario smiled and asked stunned. "Takes skill to be quite honest and also a lot of fast beats," he smiled. "Nice. So, Keith is it awesome to have your cousin here," Hector asked. "It's going to be great having PJ in town. Besides, I think he's made friends already," I told the gang. "Yeah he did. Besides, we should tell him some of the Electric Company adventures," Lauren added. "Actually, I think I know the stories. Keith told me one on the way here when Hector thought he was a dog and chewed Shock's shoes," he said starting to crack up. "Hey canine instinct may I remind you," Hector pointed out.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"We know that Hector," I smiled. "Yeah. So PJ, I have to ask do you like to travel,"Mario asked. "I do. My family growing up use to travel everywhere right Uncle Leo," PJ asked Leo. "Sure do PJ. We traveled everywhere when PJ and Keith were kids. One place they really liked was Arizona where they saw the Grand Canyon," Leo told us. "What," we asked looking at Keith. "It's true. I loved it as a kid," he smiled. "Wow dude. That must have been sick," Hector admitted. "Sure was. Not sure if you guys know this about PJ but he told me once his favorite era is the 70s," he told us. "You don't say," I smiled. "It's my favorite era and I would love to travel back in time to," he told us. "You know PJ, were planning on shooting our first Electric Company music video soon and I think we can use your expertise," Sean told him. "Well honestly, I don't see why not. Yet right now, I'm looking forward to being here and meeting you guys," he smiled. "You bet and Sean," I told my friend. "Yeah Lauren," he asked. "This year I have a feeling is going to be great," I grinned. "So what are we waiting for best friend? Let's go," he started to sing. "T-t-time to get the party started. Let's go. Waited so long for this to happen," we sang in the diner having a fun time as we got to know PJ more and knowing this year would be awesome!

Logan's P.O.V.:
The guys and I were recording music for our demos over the last few days and they had been fun. We were taking a break and I was looking out the window as the sun shined on my pendant I got for Christmas. I smiled knowing this year would be great. "Logan, come on Gustavo is waiting for us and I don't want to keep him waiting," Kendall said coming over as I looked out the window. "I'll be right there," I told my friend as I walked from the window and the pendant glowed suddenly. "Logan what happened," Kendall noticed. "I don't know but I think we are going to meet someone soon," I told Kendall. "Who," he asked. "The fifth descendant one meant to fulfill the prophecy with us," I smiled as we walked back to the recording booth.
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the beginning of season 2! That's right here we go guys! Lauren's qualities are going to start gradually showing in this season and also see a new side to her you never seen but being with friends!
