Super Bowl Fun!
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Hey guys! Lauren here. So as you can tell tonight is a very big night here in New York, why you might ask? IT'S THE SUPER BOWL! Hector, Jess and I had been waiting for this game all year and since February arrived it was time to have some fun. "Game starting soon, yeah, yeah. Have fun in the basement, yeah, yeah," Sean sang coming into my room. "Oh would you please shut up," I teased singing along. "Come on Lauren, I was on a roll," he smiled. "Yeah but you are just as bad as Hector and that commercial," I replied. "The one on the radio for AT&T U-verse," he asked. "That one," I smiled. "Besides Lauren, everyone knows that commercial is awesome including you," he told me. "Yeah but some view it as lame," I added singing lame.
"True but everyone here is betting tonight on whose going to win the Super Bowl whether it is Saints or Colts, besides what's the worse that can happen," Sean shrugged. "I don't know but I have a feeling something can happen now come on, help me get the CBS football theme song on my laptop and hand me the camera. It's time we start the Ustream," I told Sean as I got on my jersey for tonight. Sean grabbed my camera or camcorder I should say and started to play the music for CBS Football. "Ah at last the big night is here," I started to say into the camera. "It all comes down to this, the sounds, the excitement, the thrill. It can only mean one thing tonight it's the SUPER BOWL," Sean said the next part before I joined in on the last section.
"Whoo, that's what I'm talking about my friend. What's up everybody its your girl Lauren," I said into the camera. "And your boy Sean here. And tonight is the night," he said. "That's right dude. It is Super Bowl night for the Electric Company, and we cannot be more excited. Saints, Colts the best in their division going head to head tonight for a chance at the famous Lombardi Trophy. I'm telling you tonight is going to be sick," I told Sean. "Yeah and we are livestreaming tonight for you guys, how awesome can this get," Sean added. "Indeed. We are having a big Super Bowl party here in New York and we are so excited not only for the show but some great football as well," I added.
"Yeah and a whole bunch of our friends are excited for tonight. Let's go take a look and see what's everyone up to," Sean said picking up the camera and walked out of my room to the living room where it was decked out in Super Bowl gear. "Hi guys," I said to Jess and the others as we came in. "Hey, video stream," Keith asked. "Yep, we got Keith, Jess, Lisa and Mario in the living room and we are set for a good amount of football tonight. Say hi guys," I said happily. "Hi," they replied to the camera waving. "What are you guys doing? I see pieces on the ground," Sean asked. "We are putting together a little Super Bowl bingo game and it is honestly going to be so fun," Jess told me.
"Ooh Super Bowl Bingo, never heard of that," Sean said to my sister. "It's like classic Bingo only this time with plays during the Super Bowl like a safety, or a holding penalty or something like that but it's fun and someone is going to win, that be me," Jess smiled.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Oh contrar, Jess. I'm going to be the one to win Super Bowl Bingo," Mario bragged. "Come on Mario. You hadn't watched football this season," I told him. "True but that doesn't mean I can win bingo," he pointed out. "Okay Mario is a contender but honestly, I will win Super Bowl bingo," Keith told them. "Come on. You hadn't been here for a while to know super bowl bingo is crazy here," Lisa told Keith. "Yeah but I know my Colts and I grew up near them," Keith told us. "Okay gang, let's not get into an argument but agree Bingo will be fun right," I asked. "Right," they replied. "Perfect. Besides tonight being the Super Bowl, a lot of you guys have been asking when in the world is Hector doing his punishment? Well, we figured it out actually right Lauren," I told the camera.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Yep. If the Saints win tonight, Hector is going to stand out in the cold, with no shirt on and juggle snowballs for you guys to see. We'll just have to wait towards the end of the game to find out if he's doing it cause if not, I'm taking out trash for a week," I told the camera. "Yeah word of wisdom, taking out trash is not pretty," Sean agreed. "Uh guys, did I hear someone mention about me possibly doing the punishment tonight," Hector asked in the kitchen. "Yeah," the others replied. "Who said it," Hector asked. "Lauren did," Keith, Jess, Lisa, Mario and Sean said pointing to me. I looked at my friends and sis not happy. "Way to throw me under the bus guys," I told them. "Sorry the one who spoke it gets the word," Jess told me. I groaned remembering the code Jess made back when we were kids.
"Alright then moving gears, besides the games going on we got food going. I'm telling when it comes to the Super Bowl here, food is on the agenda," I smiled. "Sure is Lauren and we are heading to the kitchen now to see what's cooking, come on," Sean said handing me the camera as we walked from the living room to the kitchen. "Hey guys," I greeted. "Hey sis, hey," they replied back. "We got Shock, Hector and Leo in the kitchen cooking up stuff. What do we got here," Sean asked. "Well, we are making Super Bowl burgers on the grill as you can see with a neat hamburger flipper for both teams which I found online, along with a pot of gumbo courtesy of Leo himself and sandwiches Shock got at the Earl of Sandwich across the street," Hector replied flipping a burger. "Well let's hope we don't set off a smoke alarm okay big brother," I told him. "Hope not sis," he smiled.
"HEY GUYS, KICKOFF SHOW IS STARTING," Mario called from the living room. "Coming," Sean and I shouted as we made our way over to the living room. "Okay guys, you got a front row seat right here on the coffee table and we will be watching the game," I smiled placing the camcorder on the coffee table as we prepared to watched the game. Music soon blared on the TV as we watched a performance of "Run this Town" by Rihanna and Jay-Z. I figured they wanted to do this as the theme song for the game. I couldn't help but dance as Jess sang the song. I have to admit it was catchy, really catchy. Jay-Z held the trophy high and yes it's the Vince Lombardi trophy as the screen dimmed black with the pyro before music started up again with heart beats playing in between. We knew this was it, the start of the big game and I couldn't be more excited like the others. The music roared once again as the TV shone the CBS logo with the Lombardi trophy behind it and we just cheered. This is it baby! Super Bowl time is here! It continued to show the logos for the Saints and the Colts as highlights appeared on the screen.
Afterwards, we saw the logo for the Hyundai kickoff show but no voice from the announcers. "That's odd, what happened to their voices," I asked the others as they were confused. "Guess someone, didn't mic up the mics well enough," Hector shrugged. "Think so and aren't you supposed to be making food," I asked looking up and seeing my brother. "Yes but it's done for now. I'm letting everything cool," he told us with a smile. "Oh okay," I realized and soon the voices of Jim Nantz and Phil Sims came on. "Guess they fixed the glitch," I told them as they were starting team intros. I have to admit the Saints intro was awesome! I hope Saints win tonight besides, after Katrina they need to stay strong that's for sure. I can still not understand the "Who dat" chant. I can't to be quite honest. Just can't.
"Ladies and gentlemen the National Football Conference champions, New Orleans Saints," the TV spoke as we just watched. I cheered and so did the others as the Saints came onto the field. "Let's go Saints," I cheered happily knowing tonight would be awesome and hopefully Hector gets to do his punishment.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Hey Lauren, did you find out whose singing the national anthem tonight," I asked my friend. "I don't know. I didn't hear anything," Lauren replied with a shrug as the Colts entered the stadium. Keith smiled at seeing the Colts on screen, honestly I can't go wrong with him liking the Colts though. On the TV, after many commercials or so actually just a few they did the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner. I remember Dad mentioning something about the award to me growing up but I guess it slipped through my mind afterwards. Queen Latifah came on and did America the Beautiful. Hector liked her a lot in Hairspray that movie musical he told me about. I didn't get into it. "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain standing for our national anthem," Jim said on the screen and the flags parted to reveal the actual flags of the nation as they were carried onto the podium by some members of the US Military. I figured they had a joint color guard for the event.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Watching the guard up there, I couldn't help but think of dad. I hope he's okay, I do miss him though. "And now to honor America, Five-time Grammy Award winner, Carrie Underwood," Jim announced and I just looked at the TV surprised. "Carrie Underwood," I said shocked. "Yes but shush Lauren," Hector hushed me as she started to sing the national anthem. I couldn't believe she was singing it this year. How awesome can that get? She sang wonderfully and at the end, a flyover by the Blue Angels of the Navy Base. Imagine that? "Oh my gosh," I said after a few seconds. "Man did Carrie rock it, you go Carrie," Hector cheered. All of us agreed on that for sure. It was almost kickoff time and I was hungry. "Hey Hector, I'm getting hungry," I told my brother. "I know you are sis but hey whose up for some food," Hector asked. "Oh I am, Me," the gang was saying as we stood up and went to get some food which we were doing buffet style.
I got myself a Super Bowl burger with the Saints on them and of course my personal favorite pickles and mac and cheese along with shrimp. Everyone knows I like shrimp. I soon went back to the living room and saw the game coming back on. "HEY GUYS, GET IN HERE, THEY'RE ABOUT TO DO THE COIN TOSS," I called to my family and friends. "Coming," they all replied getting food and soon came over to the TV. "Alright gang way, gang way," Hector said moving forward. "Come on Hector, were all moving at the same pace here," the others grumbled. "Sorry. So who do we got doing the toss tonight," Hector asked. "I don't know but we are about to find out," I told him.
Mario's P.O.V.:
I am so excited to see who wins the coin toss tonight! According to what I've read it is normally like the best tradition ever because new members of the hall of fame come by to help out. Now, I'm not going to lie when I say all of us are big Jerry Rice/ Emmitt Smith fans. Lauren has watched Emmitt on Dancing with the Stars and man can he boogie for sure. "Here we go guys," Lauren announced as we heard Jim speak.
"Ladies and gentlemen, joining us for the coin toss ceremony are the newest members of the Pro Football hall of fame the class of 2010, Ricky Jackson, Russ Grim, John Randall, Floyd Little (Hector was trying to hold back a chuckle I think), Dick Lebeau (Okay now he was giggling at his name but Lauren gave him the arm slap), Jerry Rice (we all cheered at the mention of Jerry's name and I couldn't believe he was in the hall of fame. "Go Jerry," Hector smiled), and Emmitt Smith. And now referee Scott Greene," the TV spoke as we all soaked it in. "I can't believe Jerry and Emmitt are in the Hall of Fame," I said stunned. "I know right," Hector said happily.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Okay I bet honestly right now, Saints are going to call heads for the first portion of the game," I told them. "I bet Colts will win the toss," Keith smiled. "Oh come on Keith, you honestly think so," Hector asked. "I know so, so," he said quoting a line from the play we did. "So be it," Hector remarked. "New Orleans, please come to this side, Indianapolis over here. Will Emmitt Smith please come forward to help with the toss. Gentlemen, we have a special coin we are using for today's ceremony. You'll notice the helmets and the Super Bowl trophy is heads and the Super Bowl Emblem is tails. New Orleans you are the visiting team, what is your call? Heads. Heads is the call, Emmitt will you do the honors," the TV spoke as we watched it fly the coin before landing on the ground and I couldn't see what it was. "It is a head. Saints win the toss," I heard. "Yes," I cheered and just smiled at the news.
Now, it is the time for the game and honestly, a whole bunch of group crazy I can admit. "Okay guys, now before we get to bingo, I just need to clarify whose calling bingo," I asked. "Mario," everyone minus Hector said to me. "What? Not me? Come on guys, I'm the best bingo caller," Hector said surprised. "And one who likes to cheat," Jess added. I howled like a wolf and so did the others who were surprised to see that from Jess. "Jess, we know I don't cheat," Hector started to say. "I do. Remember last year's bingo," I asked. "Not really," Hector said looking at me. "You cheated throughout the whole dang thing, and when a few times during that you had bingo," I recalled. "Oh. Did I do that," he asked. "Yeah," the others minus Sean told him.
"Well on that note. Were back to the game now guys here we go kickoff," Jess smiled as we watched the game come on the screen. It's honestly exciting to watch and the first kick went through. We soon saw Drew Brees run onto the field for his first snap of the game and I couldn't be more excited. I won't go through every single detail in the moment now but let's just say Saints gained yards, lost yards, you know the drill in football. So far, the bingo game was super fun and I only needed a Saints touchdown on my board to win bingo but I was almost diagonal on a few spaces but I was too busy focusing on the game when I looked to see the Colts score. "No," we all said at the TV unhappy with the news, well Keith was happy. He and Hector were arguing again about the Saints and Colts and I was like oh boy.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Saints better pick up the pace," I told Lauren. "Yeah but honestly it's the first portion of the game, so they got time to catch up for sure," Lauren answered. 'Yeah and Lauren your brother is wrong when he says Saints are going to win," Keith told her with a smile. "Uh no, your wrong when you say Colts are going to win because you have Peyton Manning and his brother is Eli," Hector told him. "Come on, you think I would say the Colts would win because the quarterback is related to the Giants quarterback? Give me a break Hector," Keith smirked.
"Well yeah I think and this is the Saints debut besides, there under pressure," Hector told us. "Well it's true and just for the record, you got to give Saints some slack after what they went through with Katrina," Jess added watching the game as Mario and Shock joined in as well. "Yes I know and I give them slack but honestly Colts are going to win," Keith smiled. "Okay let's not argue much guys," Shock told them before it got out of control. "And we got a flag," Jim said as 34 seconds were on the clock.
Mario's P.O.V.:
"Got a flag guys, who ever has the flag on their bingo cards might win," I told them looking on the screen. "What do we got," Hector asked leaning into Lauren. "Would you knock it off? Your on top of me," she said to Hector feeling squished. "Sorry," he apologized. "Holding, receiving team number 52. Ten yard penalty first down, time out," the ref spoke as we watched. "Come on," we groaned not happy with the news. "Okay on that who has holding," I asked. "I do," Lauren and Sean called out placing the chips on their boards. "Not me," Hector shrugged. I looked at him. "I checked multiple times," he told me. "Oh," I realized. "Neither do I," Jess told me. "Not me," Lisa shrugged. "Not me, wait I do," Keith realized. "Got one," Shock smiled. "Uh come on Saints," Lauren cheered as the game continued minus the commercials that kept going on.
"Hey who's almost at bingo," I asked the gang. "I am," Lauren said to me. "Not close," Keith shrugged. "What do you need there cousin," PJ asked. Oh, Lauren forgot to mention PJ and Leo were having fun with us as well. "I need an offside penalty and quarterback scores touch down to win. What about you Lauren," Keith asked. "I need a Saints touchdown in order to win," she told him with a smile. "Hey you guys aren't supposed to be saying what you need that's cheating," Hector told her. "Oh come on Hector, it's not technically cheating besides, we just need to find out who needs who," Lauren told him. "I knew that," Hector admitted silently. "Besides, we are near the end of the 2nd quarter and Saints have to pick up oh, we got something," I said looking at the TV.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"What we got Mario," I asked. "First down Saints everybody," he announced placing a chip on his bingo card. I had it, no wait I didn't. We watched them go down all the way to touchdown line and seeing if they would get a touchdown. I was holding my breath for a little bit but once the Colts intercepted it, I was like robbed. "Well that didn't go well," I admitted. "Yeah but I think we know someone might win this," Mario agreed looking at Keith. "Could be the case," I replied thinking in my head. The first half ended and after a few commercials the Who performed on the halftime show.
I honestly didn't go for it, I was getting desserts like a Saints cupcake and went back into the living room to see the 2nd half getting ready to start up. No one had won bingo yet but the bet chart was changing now almost everyone was rooting for Colts now but minus Hector, Shock and I were rooting for Saints. Sorry, Jess. Saints got the possession of the ball after it was fumbled from a Colt and they had a field goal but afterwards when the Colts did not have any luck with the football, Saints just moved along but in the Colts Red zone a miracle happened.
Drew threw a really good throw and Thomas caught the ball and ran across the field for a touchdown. "Yes! Bingo everybody, I got bingo," I cheered. "You got Bingo Laur," Sean asked. "Saints touchdown and I got it," I smiled. "Alright Lauren wins, good job Lauren," Shock smiled. "Now this puts us in hopes Hector will do his punishment tonight," I smiled. "Oh yippee," Hector said with a smile. "Your being sarcastic are you," I asked. "Yeah," he admitted. The game continued for a little bit and it was almost 11:00 o'clock at night. We were hoping to see the Saints win and by the end of the game, they did win. We were cheering and celebrating at that moment. "Saints win baby," I smiled. "Yeah Super Bowl champs and speaking of champs, Hector," Sean said. "I know. I'm getting my bathrobe right now," he said getting up. I got the camera that was still recording.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Well guys, you just saw History in the making, Saints just won the Super Bowl man, what a game," I told the camera. "You got that right Sean. Now Hector is getting ready to do his punishment. He's finally doing it people and we are getting it all on camera," Lauren added. "Yeah besides, he doesn't know we are going to post this on YouTube afterwards. "No you won't," Hector said coming back wearing his bathrobe. "Oh shush, get outside would you," I said getting him towards the door and grabbing my jacket. Lauren did the same as the others followed behind us to the balcony where Hector would be standing in a matter of seconds. "Okay gang this is it. Hector is going to do the punishment for real this time," I said to the camera.
"Yep and we are getting this on video so ladies, be prepared to see some hotness," Lauren cheered. "Oh Hector you look so hot," Jess teased with a high pitch girl voice. "Jess," Hector scowled. "Come on Lauren told me do it," she defended. "Okay. Let's get this done and over with," Hector admitted taking off the bathrobe with only his jeans on. "Alright brother you see the three snowballs," Lauren asked holding them up in the light. "Sure do," he told her. "Okay. I'm going to throw one so start juggling brother," Lauren said throwing the first one.
Hector's P.O.V.:
I caught the first one and started to juggle naturally getting into a rhythm. "Hey guys, this is fun," I shouted to them juggling the first ball. "I know right," Lauren smiled. "here's the next one," Jess said tossing it over and got the second one as good with the first one. "Whoo, nice job Hector," Keith smiled cheering on Hector. "Thanks man," I smiled. "Okay third one, coming up," Sean said throwing it to me and I got it just in time and was juggling three snowballs with ease.
"Wow, nice job Hector. Way to go brother," the others cheered and I could help but smile. I didn't notice Lauren and the others making a few more snowballs, what are they doing. "Hey Hector think you can juggle five," Lauren asked. "I don't know Lauren but it's worth a try," I told them as they threw the balls towards me. Honestly, I caught them but couldn't juggle afterwards. "Well, I tried guys but how was that being funny," I asked. "Well, there was another thing I left off," Shock said to me with a smile. "What are you talking about Shock? You told me everything about the bet," I asked.
"This," he said throwing snow at me. "Hey," I realized and the others laughed. "Oh that's what were playing and I am not getting snow into the house," I told them. "Okay we can just do snow pile on Hector," Lauren called out and everyone threw snow at me and I was almost covered with it. "Y-y—you are all a b-b-b-bunch of stinkers," I shivered afterwards.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"And with that, punishment is done," I told the camera. "G-gg-get over here Lauren. You, Shock and Jess are in for some s-s-s-shiver hugs," Hector shivered trying to hug me. "Okay I think we are going to end on that besides, Hector, I think you need a hot shower," I told him. "Yeah, I d-d-do," he shivered as he walked over to his bedroom for the hot shower. "Well, there you have it. Super Bowl night went awesome," Sean smiled. "Yeah thank you again everybody for tuning in and hope to see you guys sometime soon and congrats on the Saints for the win. Super Bowl champs," I smiled. "Whoo," Sean whooped. "So long guys, bye," the others said as Sean and I ended the ustream. "Perfect party as always Lauren," Shock told me. "Indeed it was," I agreed.
What did you guys think? I'm telling you this was so much fun to write, and I had to include the bet but honestly this would be like me regarding the Super Bowl. Hope you guys enjoy stay tuned for the next chapter which will be sick!
